Post Harry Potter and the Cursed Child plays' behind-the-scenes look at cast photo session

A new behind-the-scenes look at the character portrait sessions from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was released online, featuring the Potter, Granger-Weasley and Malfoy family posing together and separately.

Jamie Parker, who plays Harry, narrates the clip, and discusses his total excitement in donning the glasses and scar to bring his iconic stage counterpart to life. That can be seen here.

Quote:
The clip starts off with Harry Potter himself, Jamie Parker, who gives a brief preview of the photo shoots taking place for lead characters of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, including the Potters, Granger-Weasleys and Malfoys. Jamie is dressed up as Harry, with black hair, scar and trademark round glasses.

Quote:
This brief shot shows that Harry's wearing more than a Muggle suit, as he dons black wizarding robes for another photo of the shoot (which will hopefully be released in the future)

[QUOTE]Here we see the first glimpse of Draco Malfoy's rather long hair - like father, like son. Actor Alex Price brings Draco back to life in the sequel to Deathly Hallows, 19 years later.

A different angle of the official Potter-family portrait released earlier this week, of Harry, Albus (Sam Clemmett) and Ginny (Poppy Miller).

Young Scorpius (Anthony Boyle) tries to adjust himself rather awkwardly for his solo promo.

Here's the first proper shot of Ron Weasley (Paul Thornley) and Hermione Granger (Noma Dumezweni) together! Hopefully those extra portraits taken will be released in due time.

Poppy Miller and Sam Clemmett trying different expressions for their single portrait photos.

Despite the bemused look on his face in the official stills, Harry Potter does actually smile and laugh... well, sometimes, anyway.

Quote:
Though Harry can definitely take a tip or two on smiling from his best friends, Ron and Hermione (and daughter Rose, played by Cherrelle Skeete).

Quote:
See? Harry Potter is capable of not being a surly git... or this is just Jamie Parker goofing around.

Quote:
Scorpius and Draco try a different approach to posing. Scorpius already looks ready to curse fellow wizards in this unreleased promo.

Quote:
Ron Weasley's just checking out his willow wand and trying new poses.

Quote:
At least Ginny and Al are capable of smiling at one another, even if Harry's looking all serious business here.

Quote:
Young Rose trying a new pose here, looking more serious like her mother, Hermione.

Quote:
More shots of Harry Potter's rare smile (or Jamie Parker getting excited to take on the role, anyway).

Aaaand, finally, we'll leave you here with these incredible shots of Ron and Hermione having a sweet moment together! If only they weren't in black and white...

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opens to the world this coming Tuesday. Please note, anyone attending the production at London's Palace Theatre MUST get there at least an hour before the show starts, or they will not be admitted in.
