| | |  'Half-Blood Prince' Released in Poland
The Polish language edition of 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' will be released at midnight tonight in 1000 bookstores. The book will be released in both hardcover and paperback format. Quote:
Several of the volumes which had been presented to the media had been cursed with the dementors’ spell assuring that no inquisitive journalist starts reading before the clocks strike midnight.

I'm from Poland  But I didn't buy polish edition, cause I've already read the english version  I think we (polish people) had to wait so long for this book to come out since the translation is really very good. The man who translates Hp books does it very professional. So I think that's the reason why the book came out so late. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how Polkowski (the translator) translated the U-NO-POO thing | |

I'm from Poland too, like Ewelina, and I've read English version in July. I must admit that many people did it, almost everyone who knows English well enough and is a big HP fan. We always have to wait so long for the translation because the translator wants to do his best. He's really good at what he's doing, believe me. Many people wanted the book to be released earlier, but people from the publishing company said they couldn't speed it all up. Well, it's quite annoying but we can't do anything.
I've bought Polish version too because my younger sister wants to read it, so does my parents and they don't know English well enough to read the whole book.
And yeah, it's true that many people had already known what will happen. There were some spoiler articles in newspapers, websites etc. But if they really didn't want to know anything, they could. It was especially easy if they didn't use the internet. | |
