Post Half-Blood Prince makes $22.2 million from midnight showings

The box office takings for Tuesday midnight earnings for Half-Blood Prince have been released by the AP today; the sixth Harry Potter film has made $22.2 million domestically (in the US and Canada alone), breaking the previous midnight opening record, held by Warner Bros' The Dark Knight.

We will have more on Half-Blood Prince's box office numbers, both domestic and international, after the first weekend of release, so stay tuned.

Glad my $9.50 counted. It was good until the left out the VERY VERY VERY important scene at the end. Not very happy that they cut it out. I was waiting for it. Looking forward to it.

And yes the Harry & Ginny thing, very displeasing.

Trying my best not to let go of any spoilers.

This is just my opinion. Having read the book two days before it came out just to recap.

Best Potter yet!! :-) We were gonna go to midnite show but tickets were sold out by us... saw today- lines stretched around the block. HBP ROCKED... Ron and Hermione (Rupert and Emma) were so awesome together-this is why so many love their chemistry together. Tom Felton made you feel sorry for Draco. Just awesome and well done and yeah I will say it: Brilliant!!

its time to choose between what is right and what is easy

so i saw it again for the second time (in one day i know) and i feel a lot better about it the second time around...

still upset some things were missing, or not expanded on enough especially Ginny and Harry..but i am actually quite happy with it now that ive had time to process

Lol it's 8,5 euro here to go and see a movie. I have mixed feelings about the movie. It was ofcourse great, but I think it was too light in the dark times it are supposed to be.

I also realized that they didn't have scenes that were filmed on the trailer, like when Harry said " I don't need luck, I'm with Dumbledore". And when Ron and Hermione were staring at the window in the common room. It's really strange, I loved the film though, it was extraordinary. H/G and R/Hr's chemistry seemed really fake, particularly when Harry saw Dean and Ginny kissing, he didn't seem jealous at all. Daniel and Emma's chemistry got me more, they always look amazing together, a lot of sexual tension on the last scene on the tower. Awesome film This and PoA are my top two.

Oh awesome! That's great news. I loved the chemistry Rupert and Emma had together. Dan and Rupert also had an amazing chemistry. It was Dan and Bonnie who's chemistry seemed a bit awkward to me. I loved the movie all in all.

i was there!!!!!!!! the theater i went to had 5 sold put 12:01 shows then 5 more at 12:30 last thing i heard when i got to the theater at 10pm was that new shows for 3:30 am were being opened.

The movie is GREAT...very different than all the others...And thats very good in my opinion. Slughorn, Draco, Lavander, the Trio, all of it was awesome...I was not impressed with Ginny but I do like tha fact that they H/G dnt really staert their relationship, other than the kiss, that way he does not have to breakup with her...I kind of like it like this...LOVE what they did with the Hr/R relationship, how it has evolved, perfect for what is coming...

the best part, i agree with WeasleyTwin, was when harry took the luck potion and said to slughorn, "sir". that was hilarious!!!
and when ron asked if harry and ginny had "done it" after they kissed. the whole theater shook from the laughing.

its time to choose between what is right and what is easy

the most things i was dissapointed with the film was that i didnt know wouldn't exsist:

1. No Dursley's - and everything that happened there like telling harry he owned the house
2. No mention about how harry was feeling about sirius
3. no seeing snape teach D.a.d.a class, even for just a few minutues
4. lack of harry and ginny relationship
5. although it was there a bit, lack of harry's obsessrion over the HBP and Draco
6. waste of screen time with the burrow attack, was not even mentioned after it happened

but besides all that, i think it was still good!!

The funniest part of the movie for me is when Harry taken the Luck potion(can't spell it sorry) and when he said to Slughorn, "SIR?" in the greenhouse.

The cave and death of Dumbledore was AMAZING, they even made Dumbledore say the things when drinking the potion.
OMG i thought that was hillarious...also
when lavender is with ron in the hospital wing and he mumbles and she says
'he sensed my presence' i thought that was brillint!
v.funny

1. If ya'll read the chapter where Dumbledore comes to the Dursley's house it's hilarious. I'm serious. I had to go back and read it and I'm surprised it was so funny and I didn't remmeber it.
2. Yeah Sirius wasn't even involved in this movie and that sucked big time.
3. Ugggggg thank you. I really wanted to see him knock a few heads together. lol.
4. BIG TIME LET DOWN.And I had the whole scene pictured and not the way they did it. Ug
5. Yeah I know tell me about it.

See, I think that's the worst thing you can do. The books and the films aren't the same thing.

Climbed & Reached 1000!

Awesome, but not surprising!

And please use spoiler tags if you want to talk about the movie!
