'Fantastic Beasts' cast discuss why they love Harry Potter films, new :60 TV spot

As part of their extensive promotion of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, lead actors Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol and Dan Fogler recorded a message for Hong Kong fans, who would get the theatrical experience of watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 on the big screen again this month (for those wondering why the actors were mentioning it, and via the Harry Potter HK Facebook page).

The four then discussed what they loved the most about the Harry Potter film series, and concluded the chat by commenting on continuing J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World in Fantastic Beasts, out in exactly four weeks.

Quote:

Katherine Waterston: The Harry Potter films had a tremendous impact on an entire generation. What's your fondest memories of these films, Alison?

Alison Sudol:
The understanding that it would be possible to step into that world and be a part of it. I will never forget that.

Eddie Redmayne: I think for me, the fact that it was so well cast - like every single actor in that entire franchise was just magnificent.

Dan Fogler: I really like the scene with the Sorting Hat, it reminds me of camp. When I was growing up and being a kid - it was just really nostalgic and hit home with me when I saw that.
An extended new TV spot for Fantastic Beasts was released, starting off with an actual 30-second movie clip of Newt Scamander heading into his enchanted suitcase and beckoning new friend, Jacob Kowalski, to join him into his magical shed.

The audience the follows Jacob as he walks around the animal habitats in Newt's suitcase, after which the magizoologist introduces him to some encased fantastic beasts.

That, as well as a couple of new scenes of Graves (Colin Farrell) casting a spell in a subway, and of the Goldstein sisters preparing food in their apartment, can be watched below.

Jacob: What have you got there?
Newt: Magical beasts, I study there. They're the reason I came to America.

Jacob: Mr. Scamander, I don't think I'm dreaming.
Newt: What gave it away?
Jacob: I ain't got the brains to make this up.
