Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them to begin filming 'late summer': David Heyman Producer David Heyman admitted in a new interview that production for the first installment of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will begin hopefully sometime this summer. In an interview with Collider to promote the theatrical release of Paddington, out in theaters now, Heyman said that production designer Stuart Craig, who set up the Wizarding World for the Harry Potter film series and subsequent theme park attractions, will also be back for Fantastic Beasts. Casting is also in early stages, so no word yet. Quote:

I am very excited. I can't wait to find out the names of the cast members. I wonder if existing HP cast will be used. |
gosh Heyman is COY :x3: but this is a great interview (as can be expected from Collider), not a whole lot that we dont already know, and im glad for the interviewer to still ask the right questions but also imply a sentiment common to fans-- theres been so little info coming out of this project that most are feeling skeptical about it ever getting done. if they plan to shoot by summer then it means we should hear production rumblings (casting, location scouting, crew hiring) by around March. that aint to far away ^_^ |
