SnitchSeeker: Have you guys seen the trailer yet?
Zoe Kravitz, Alison Sudol and Katherine Waterston (in unision):
Yeah!

SnitchSeeker: What did you think of it? Any surprises?
Katherine Waterson:
So many surprises.

Zoe Kravitz: To you? As someone in the film?
Katherine Waterson:
Well, let me explain, Zoe. (all laugh) There’s all this visual stuff we don’t get to see on the set. And seeing what that department did after we all went home is actually really, really cool.

Alison Sudol: And there’s a particular moment, which is also a big reveal in the trailer. And the scene that happened, because we all knew it was going to happen – but seeing the way that it actually unfolds is like whoa.

Katherine Waterson: It’s crazy.

Alison Sudol: It’s a crazy trailer.

SnitchSeeker: Since we’re looking at all the costumes, can you talk about the transition from the first movie to the second movie for all of you? (to Zoe) Even you, who had a tiny scene.
Zoe Kravitz:
Oh, well I was …

Katherine Waterston: Tell us about your transition.

Zoe Kravitz: The transition was I wore one dress …

Katherine Waterston: First I was in a photo … (all laugh)

Zoe Kravitz: … and then I got to wear this beautiful costume. I really can’t talk about transitions, that’s not fair.

Katherine Waterston: You have a transition in the film. (points to head) It’s a bit of a reveal.

Zoe Kravitz: The hat?

Katherine Waterston:
Yes, it’s a spoiler.

Zoe Kravitz: I get a hat.

Katherine Waterston: And then …

Zoe Kravitz: … there’s no hat.

Katherine Waterson: And then she loses the hat.

Zoe Kravitz: The hat falls.

Katherine Waterson: This just in. You heard it here first. Yeah, I mean, we definitely had major costume changes between the first and second film. Stuff’s getting darker and so are our costumes.

Alison Sudol:
We did, yeah.

Katherine Waterston: I got reinstated at work so I got a slightly fiercer coat. It’s actually about 50 pounds and nearly broke me.

Zoe Kravitz: She had to literally wear a harness to keep the coat on, didn’t you?
Katherine Waterson: Sort of like, you know, a big backpack has a buckle down there. I had this built-in piece to lift the pain off the shoulders.

Alison Sudol: I didn’t know that.

Katherine Waterston: Yeah.

Alison Sudol: Well … because I feel like Queenie would dress according to where she’s going. So she’s got on a very English outfit. Tweed and …

Katherine Waterston: Tartan.

Alison Sudol: Tartan. Yes. And then stays in it.

Katherine Sudol: People really used to do that. Dress for travel.

Zoe Kravitz: I still do that. I’m like, “Ooh this goes well with London. This is very Paris to me - stripes and all.”

Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is the second of five all new adventures in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World™.

At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

The film features an ensemble cast led by Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, Poppy Corby-Tuech, with Jude Law and Johnny Depp.

“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling. The film is produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram. Tim Lewis, Neil Blair, Rick Senat and Danny Cohen serve as executive producers.

The film reunites the behind-the-scenes creative team from the first “Fantastic Beasts” film, including Oscar-winning director of photography Philippe Rousselot (“A River Runs Through It”), three-time Oscar-winning production designer Stuart Craig (“The English Patient,” “Dangerous Liaisons,” “Gandhi,” the “Harry Potter” films), four-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood (“Chicago,” “Memoirs of a Geisha,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”), and Yates’ longtime editor Mark Day (the last four “Harry Potter” films). The music is by eight-time Oscar nominee James Newton Howard (“Defiance,” “Michael Clayton,” “The Hunger Games” films).

Slated for release on November 16, 2018, the film will be distributed worldwide in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures.

This film is rated PG-13 for some sequences of fantasy action.
