Hmm, sounds like a fairly good place to do the split. I bet I'll dread waiting for the second part, though. I need to really accustom myself with the idea of a two-part DH. Though it worked well with LotR, which was three parts, so I've hopes for this one too =]

Well... I'd rather justsee it all together. I mean it's not really a bad idea to split it but I wish it wasn't that part because then it'll leave me impatient and wanting to see the next part, even though I already know what happens. That part is such a cliffhanger especially for those who vsee the movie but haven't read the book.

I think this is a good place to split the book into two films.

I think it is perfect... people who arent book readers will see H/R/Hr back to their friendship, thinking all is going to get better after escaping Lovegoods and now only to be caught again- what will happen to the trio! Good cliffy!!!

That's an interesting split. I honestly thought they'd split when Ron left because it's basically the middle of the book, but I think this is perfect as a cliffhanger. And it starts the last one with a bang. I'm so excited for this one!

i am not holding my breath on this....where they split it is where they split it....there are a couple of good places in the book to "end" the first film; but translation onto film maybe quite different.

Excellent!! That's where everyone thought it would be. But I kind of hope they change it because i don't want to know where it ends because so I won't be expecting it. And plus...it's going to be torture to wait 6 months to see part two if they end it on an intense cliffhanger like that.

But then again...it's probably going to be torture regardless of where they split it.

i knew it would be somewhere around there...and emma watson confirmed a while back that the split would be a cliffhanger so i emidiately imagined this...=(
i dont like it because it does not MATCH any of the other endings in the movies (or books). My perfect split would have been after ron's comeback...when the trio is together again and they kind of talk of whats coming, what's left to do...and so on....something like the end of HBP and the rest of the movies... where you feel a hang but with subtlety and the feel of end too...end of that part at least

Thing is, different 'chapters', perse, will transfer into different lengths in the film. Some can be done more quickly than others. So the split was never going to be right down the middle.

i love it!! i cant totally picture it now i wonder if they'll leave it when harry says Voldermort's name and they hear the snatchers outside, or once they are captured and about to apparate to malfoy mannor? hmmm...super exciting!! i am sure it will be EXPLOSIVE wherever they split it!!

Yeah when it was first announced that DH was gonna be split that's where I thought it would end except when Harry was choking. It would be been a nice cliffhanger cuz Harry would be on the verge of death while choking from the necklace and at the same time Harry and Ron's friendship would have been left broken. But this is fine too...it'll be like the end of the chapter when Harry says "Voldemort" and the snatchers appear. When I first read it, it reminded me of a tv show ending where its like "next time will our heros be able to escape?!" jk. that's what I always thought so I guess this is a good split...although as someone said, its gonna be really hard to wait with such a cliffhanger!!!! Ahhh come DH release already!
