Deathly Hallows: Part I soundtrack release date Nov. 16; Xeno theme is groovin'
 

WaterTower Music, the distributors for Warner Bros' original soundtracks, have given the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I's score a November 16, 2010 release date, three days before the opening of the film.

The score, by Alexandre Desplat, can be pre-ordered at Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. At the moment there are no song titles, samples, or cover for the CD; we will have all that as soon as they are released.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I will be out November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011.

WOOHOOO 3 DAYS to listen to the Soundtrack. From what I heard from the trailer yesterday the songs sound action packed with tons of drums- my favorite style of music

Oh I can't wait to hear the musical pieces for this one. They'll probably be on repeat for about a week or more on my iPod. :xd:

Btw, did you guys get confirmation on whether or not John Williams will be back for Deathly Hallows Part 2? Wasn't the information supposed to be released last Tuesday?

Well actually, the music form the trailer isn't made by Alexander Desplat. Just some epic music orchestra.

Although, the music from the trailer at 0:20 to 0:38 could be by Desplat. Sounds like something that would be in the film.

It was false information unconfirmed by Warner Bros.

I am DEFINITELY buying the soundtrack. Can't wait to hear Desplat's awesome music. :yes:

Even though it's false info, I hope that John Williams will be back for part 2 anyway. I know that he might be busy and all, but...it's the last movie of the series! He just has to be involved in some way if he can't be there for the entire soundtrack. [:/]

REALLY annoyed that John Williams' "Dobby theme" hasn't been brought back. If you slow down that theme, it's actually an incredibly beautiful, moving melody and would have worked perfectly for Dobby's death scene. I'm excited to hear what Desplat is going to come up with, overall, but I just don't get why all the composers have ignored all of the music that came before them. Patrick Doyle ignored John Williams, Nicholas Hooper ignored Williams AND Doyle, and looks like Desplat is going to ignore all three of his predecessors. The only thing anyone seems to care about is "Hedwig's Theme", but there are so many more important themes in these movies that just never got to reach their full potential outside of a single movie.

I think it could have been like Star Wars or LOTR, where a handful of great themes were carried over and distributed throughout the ENTIRE series, but the HP soundtracks just don't feel complete together at all.

I hope some of the new music will be good because I know in the past, of all the HP movies, the music has been great! :D
