The King's Speech was fantastic....made me a little misty-eyed. |
I wish DH was nominated for best score, cinematography, sound editing and mixing! but it's good the movie got recognized in those two categories right?! I always get disappointed! =( |
Oh Helena deserves this award, she was amazing in The King's Speech. Also, congrats to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 on their two nominations. This will be an epic year for Potter :) |

I hope DH wins... and also Helena she deserves it :) |
I don't think "DH: Part II" will be recognized in any of the major categories next year, like Picture, Director, Screenplay, Actor etc., but honestly, I don't think it really deserves to. All of the movies, including the Chris Columbus ones but even more once he left, have been very very flawed in terms of overall storytelling and complexity in characterization, especially when you compare them to the AMAZINGLY well-told stories and fleshed-out characters in the original books. But I definitely think that the the series should have gotten WAYYYYY more than just one or two technical categories each. I think every single Harry Potter film actually deserved to be nominated in ALL of the "techies". Especially cinematography, visual effects, and art direction, but also score, film editing, and the sound categories. Hopefully we'll see "DH: Part II" pop up in all of those :) |
If they win I will die of happiness! |
:woot: Good luck DH and Helena!!! :woot: They definitely deserve to win because the film is THE BEST :loved: |

I hope she and HP win! They both deserve it! :) |
Awesome! No surprises there! I hope Deathly Hallows and Helena both take home the Oscars! :D :woot: |
Congrats.. |
Haven't seen the King's Speech yet, but I sure hope Helena wins! And I wish that DH got nominated for more categories too, but oh well. Hopefully Part II will be like LOTR 3 next year (w/ so many nominations!) , but I guess that's asking for a bit too much. I'm gonna be watching that day! :D |
I think I just got teary-eyed. Harry Potter FINALLY garnered special effects and art direction (which is what I'm DYING to do for a living) nominations! :') Let's go for the win. UGH, the King's Speech is so beautiful. Helena & Alexandre deserve the nod. |
