From a recent interview this is what Dan had to say about POA and upcoming movies!
Daniel Radcliffe Interview from French Magazine ONE
Can you tell us anything about the "Prisoner of Azkaban"?
I'm afraid not, we're under strict orders and I can't reveal much of anything. The filming is top-secret and I'd be in alot of trouble if I talk too much! Nevertheless, I can tell you more or less where we are right now. We've pretty much finished all the scenes with the Dursleys, the voyage aboard the Hogwarts Express, and some of the scenes in the famous Knight Bus. I know that a lot of fans are excited about the Knight Bus, and I can promise that they won't be disappointed. I've never seen such an impressive vehicle before. Imagine a gigantic purple triple-decker bus that can fly in the air like a plane.
Will there be a Quidditch game?
Yes, and it will be more impressive than the first two. There will be amazing special effects never seen before in films. I can't wait to shoot that scene.
Can you tell us about Sirius Black, the villain of the third book?
I think that he's at the height of his reputation, but I can't tell you anymore about him. I know it's torture, but I won't say anything...(laughs)
(This question was worded really strangely and I don't know how it translates..it's asking something about the movie's fight scenes)
The fight scenes are always my favourites. In the Chamber of Secrets, I loved my duel against Gilderoy Lockhart. I took fencing lessons specifically for that occasion. That helped me a lot in the fight scenes, too. Also, everyone on the set was always so encouraging. (I don't know which duel against Lockhart he's referring to, but anyway...)
How do you deal with the scenes where you have fight an enemy that is created by computers?
I admit that those scenes aren't easy to film. Luckily, the crew always sets up a prop where the character is supposed to be. For example, in the Chamber of Secrets, when it appeared that I was talking to Dobby, I was actually talking to an orange ball on a stick, which was moved around by a technician, so I knew where to look.
Everyone is asking if you are going to be in the fourth movie. Can you answer that for us?
No, I can't say for sure. However, things are moving along quickly, and the chances are good that I will continue this adventure and that I will be in the fourth movie. I'd say there's a 90% chance.
Will the fact that you're looking less and less like a little boy become a problem?
I don't think so. As you know, Harry Potter is a boy like any other. He grows and his appearance evolves with time. In the books, obviously, readers can't hear Harry's voice getting deeper or see that he's growing up. But when you think about it, it's completely normal that Harry won't look the same at age fifteen as he looked as an eleven-year-old. That's why, if the opportunity presents itself, it would work out perfectly if I could play Harry in the fourth movie.
Is it true that while filming the Chamber of Secrets that your voice frequently broke?
No, I was lucky that my voice rarely broke. If that was the case, I think that filming of the Chamber of Secrets would have been very difficult for me.
Is it true that you've always wanted to be a director?
Yes, that's always been one of my goals. Chris Colombus was a great inspiration in that sense. While watching him direct the first two Harry Potter movies, I realize how fascinating the work of a director is. I'm also interested in writing. It's my dream to write, direct, and star in my own film, although I have a lot to learn before I'll ever be able to do that.
Speaking of Chris Columbus, are you disappointed that he's not directing the third movie?
It would have been great if we could have continued the adventure with him, but at the same time, I'm very excited to be working with Alfonso Cuaron. I know that he won't disappoint us. And of course, Chris isn't really gone; he often comes back to the set to give us advice.
In the years to come, are you afraid that the image of Harry Potter will always be stuck to you? Are you afraid of constantly being in the media?
That's something that I'm aware of, but I'm not really worried about it. I think I'll be capable of playing other roles in the future. I know for sure that I'll never regret portraying Harry Potter. This role is something that I'll always be proud of.
A while ago, you stated that you'll probably have to go into therapy to detach yourself from the character of Harry Potter. Is this true?
Probably not. I think I'll have to do that on my own...(laughs). However, it's true that at some times, I feel so close to Harry's personality that it seems that we're one. Also, I've read the books, and I see so many similarities. It's very troubling.
What kind of similarities?
Things like curiosity, loyalty, a need for justice, but also, like Harry, I always seem to be a magnet for difficulties.
