Post Clémence Poésy talks return for Deathly Hallows in French Cosmopolitan

In the January 2010 issue of France's Cosmopolitan magazine, actress Clémence Poésy briefly spoke about her return as Fleur Delacour in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, noting how much has changed since she last portrayed the role five years ago in Goblet of Fire. Clémence also mentioned that the director of Goblet of Fire, Mike Newell, was interested in casting her in the series from watching her performance in the BBC drama Gunpowder, Treason & Plot.

Quote:
"I play the character Fleur Delacour in number 7 (out November 24th)," says she. "For me it's the holidays! And it will be weird to go back on a shoot where everyone has grown older and taller."
Scans from the magazine can be seen below, courtesy of Clémence-Poésy.org.

SPOILER!!: article translation here
Clemence Poésy is a girl without fuss that you would like to have as a friend. She doesn't receive journalists in a intimidating palace with four assistantes following her everywhere, but near her house, in a little quiet pub of the Marais, she illuminates her gracious presence of fragile child-woman and her long golden hair.

At 27 years old, the face of the Chloé parfume and the fashion icon of Gap steps up the pace for a career she carries with brio both in France or abroad, at the image of Marion Cotillard or Mélanie Laurent. At home she gets married to Jéremie Renier in 'Piéce montée' the comedy of Denys Granier-Deferre with Julie Depardieu and Jean-Pierre Marielle, a story of double wedding sensitive and funny which will be released on the 10th of Mars. 'On the shooting, we laughed a lot' she said enthusiastic. And in England, she is about to revamp Harry Potter with her wand and her looks of jokers young apprentice witch. 'I play the character of Fleur Delacour in number 7 (out november 24th), she explains. For me, it's the holiday! And it is going to be weird going back on a shoot were everyone has grown older and taller.'

While waiting to play Jeanne d'Arc for a french director (Philippe Ramos) and the release of a Romantic comedy shooted in Canada with Rupert Friend and Forest Whitaker (Lullaby for Pi). 'Me who has anxieties each year - it must be my teacher's daughter side - telling me that I will stop my career because I don't have enough projects, blah blah blah, I thank Harry Potter everyday for bringing me this visibility international' she said, playful.

Her success, Clemence caused it
On her mother's side, French teacher at Chatenay-Malabry, she inherited from the hump of effort and the work well done. 'My mum loves her job, and I always saw her work a lot, correcting drafts of students to help them get better notes for exams' On her father's side, director of theater, playwright and actor, she gleans a penchant for art, she draws and just bought a guitar. 'He is a wacky and funny dad'. In her family it they are carried to the stage since he younger sister, Maelle, is also an actor and in third year at the CNR of Strasbourg. 'When a kid I didn't want to say that I wanted to be an actor because I thought it sounded stupid. Notice that now all the little girls want to be singers, it sounds even more stupid' When 14 years old, Clemence, that wasn't called Poésy yet, the maiden name of her mother, but Guichard, she step on stage for the first time, directed by her dad, she is obliged to reveal her secret.

And, when 16 years old, she who passed all her shooling at la Source, at Meudon, a bilingual and experimental school, approaches on her own a british agent. It helped her go to a casting for the BBC and the young french girl is choosen to play Mary Stuart. 'Which must have helped me, after, to be noticed by the director of Harry Potter.' Viewed by several million of viewers, the talented Clemence enchaine then the films, 'Le Grand Meaulnes' ,'Sans moi' ,'Bons baisers de Bruges' ,'le Dernier Gang' ,'La troisieme Partie du monde'... And spend loads of time in London, that she loves. 'For Harry Potter, I will rent a flat because I've had enough of emptying minibars of hotels to put my groceries in' she said, handy.

The bling-bling, she leaves it for other people
In the same vein, this girl, a fan in the soul of beauty products and organic green admits she has enough to fill her dressing. 'I will not grow again! And I have enough clothes. So why obstinate to do more shopping?' she asks herself with lots of common sense. Because Clemence is also a very reasonable girl and not very bling-bling that confesses a great nostalgia for the 70s, when much less Marketeer than today 'We didn't ask the Stones or Joan Baez where there clothes came from, while they were highly creative in their manner of dress.'

Her luxury at this moment, would rather the books recommended by her mother she bought in industrial quantities. 'It's catastrophic, almost worse than shopping, I bought a breakneck pace. I recently read the latest Emmanuel Carrère, I was completely reversed' She loves reading even at a point that if she stopped her career, she could, she said, 'open a bookstores'. "I find it great to be a professional actress, but it is not a vital need. I'm not desperate and I would not do anything to have a role ', says she, without playing creatures Blasted by vocation.

Run, Emma, Run!

Glad to hear she is back
The role of Fleur would not have been the same without her.
