Afshan Azad in Deathly Hallows, Julie Christie & Shirley Henderson won't return
 

We have received word from Afshan Azad's agency, Gordon and French, that she will reprise the role of Padma Patil in the final installments of the Harry Potter films, Deathly Hallows. They stated:

We also spoke to agents for both Julie Christie (Madam Rosmerta) and Shirley Henderson (Moaning Myrtle) regarding whether or not the actresses will return for Deathly Hallows.

Julie's agent, MFManagement, stated that she has not been cast "to the best of our knowledge."

Shirley's representatives, Hamilton Hodell, said the same, noting that her return is just a "rumour. Not true I'm afraid."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released on November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011.

Noooo!! I love Shirley!!! She's amazing! Ah well, glad that Afshan Azad is coming back. Was Mytle and Madam Rosmerta even in the Deathly Hallows? Can't seem to remember that one...

The film will have the biggest success because almost all actors remained the same.:woot:

The reason we went to check is because the Davids mentioned trying to bring 'everyone back' for Deathly Hallows, and that might have even included characters not visibly noticeable in the book itself (like Blaise Zabini, for instance, who we know for a fact is back and has a bit of a large role), so it was worth checking.

No one's replacing her; she just won't be in the movies.

I'm glad Padma will be back, but it'll be sad not to see Rosmerta and Myrtle one last time. :(

I don't remember Moaning Myrtle or Madame Rosmerta being in the book either, so that makes sense for them not to appear in the film.
