Wooden Bridge https://i.postimg.cc/wM6XbWF8/wooden-bridge-banner5.jpg The Wooden Bridge, also known as the Covered Bridge, connects the Courtyard to the rest of the Grounds. This rickety bridge has been damaged and repaired many times over and although it looks like it may fall apart and let the students tumble down into the ravine below it probably won’t. That would be highly unlikely... Still, any unusually loud creaking should be reported to the Groundskeeper. Just in case. |
Open! Kamryn had taken to wandering lately, and her current favorite spot to wander too, besides the kitchen, was the bridge. She didn’t know what it was about the crumbling old place. But it was a good thinking spot. She leaned on the edge, her elbows resting on the wood, her blue eyes looking out at the view as her mind seemed to whirl. Despite the fact that she didn’t like it at home, she wasn’t finding herself enjoying it much better here either. She missed certain people, and she found herself wanting to wander to find them, but should she? No.. that was dumb. She didn’t need to be clingy. Was she just a lonely person? Even when she was surrounded by people? Merlin! She needed to pull it together! Her her angst under control before she lost all of her friends. Yup.. it was fine. |
Needing to clear his head, Sebastian walked out towards the old wooden bridge. It was a great place to sit and relax outside in nature without gettin soaking wet when it decided to randomly rain. Which happened often. This was Scotland, after all. As he made his way down to his favorite spot on the bridge, he noticed someone else leaning against the bridge ahead of him. Was that? Could it be..."KAM?" He called out to his best friend. Man....they were too much alike sometimes. His overprotective nature kicked in when he got closer to her. She seemed to be sad...or in her angsty place, which was never a good place for her to be. Good thing he had decided to come out here.... |
A half smile curled up the corners of the brunette’s lips as she heard a familiar voice call out to her. She turned a bit, her blue eyes soft as she regarded her best friend as he came towards her. “Hey you.” She said softly as she pushed some of her hair behind her ear and waved a bit as he got closer. She had gotten annoyed with him at the feast after he had seemed to stare at every pretty Person that talked to him, but of course she hadn’t told him. Was it too much to ask though for the full attention of her best friend? Probably was. Meh. “So what are you doing here Bast?” Kamryn asked as she turned to the side, her hip leaning against the bridge as she looked at him. “Come to angst as well? ” This was a perfect angst spot.. especially when it was raining. |
Gunnar/MJ <3 Oh wow. Oh wow. The light coming through But she wasn't done. The wind whipped through, annoyingly readjusting her hair, and in the process of trying to reach up to make sure she didn't get too many flyaways, she'd dropped her compact. Down it tumbled, rolling away from her toes and finally resting to teeter on the edge of the bridge. FUDGE FLIES. |
sorry it took so long -_- Quote:
He only stopped when he started to get dizzy, and set her down as gently as he possibly could without falling over. With a chuckle he said, "I am coming here to dwell and angst as one does on the wooden bridge. Which I assume is what you are also doing?" He said raising an eyebrow with a smirk. They were too much alike sometimes. But he liked having someone that thought so much like him. It was nice to have someone understand him completely. |

He hardly noticed it today as he walked over the bridge, taking the long way back to the castle from the pitch after practice. His broom resting against his shoulder as he carried it, he hardly gave the girl much notice as he approached to pass her, until he noticed something fall from her hands. Gunnar couldn't quite tell what it was from his vantage point, but he could see it threatening to fall from the edge. "Accio might be useful," he said helpfully as his footsteps took him closer to her. She had her wand with her, right? |

She put a hand against the railing as he put her down, to steady herself as she looked up at him. “Well that’s a greeting ” She said softly as she shook her head and sighed as the smile left her face. “Oh always, this is my angst spot. ” She said in a soft voice as she nudged him and sighed a bit. “What are you angsting about? Your dad? ” She asked him softly. |

"You wouldn't be the first to suggest that to me this term." But the previous boy had kind of done all of the work for her and she couldn't say she minded that one bit. Though... this was different. And perhaps it was time she showed that she wasn't totally helpless... and that a muggleborn was perfectly capable of magic. Not that this boy knew any of that. Carefully, she retrieved her wand. After five years she still had her doubts about breaking the thing. Before she knew it, she spoke the spell out loud, and the compact was once again back in her hand. "So... thanks." |

And he wasn't sure why he felt compelled to watch her as she cast the spell. Perhaps it had been the way she said what she did that made the nearly sixteen year old wonder if she maybe had trouble with the spell. But even though she seemed somewhat tentative with her wand, there didn't seem to be a problem when the object was back in her hand. And so, Gunnar felt a bit foolish for standing there watching her. "Right... no need to thank," he said with a small smile, figuring he should be on his way. "It had only been a suggestion." He didn't actually do anything; she did that part herself. |
A bit sheepishly, the girl nodded. "I think I still kind of... forget, you know?" Was that just a muggleborn thing? To be surrounded by magic yet forget or not be so quick to realize she could use it too? "It's just not instinctual still." Even after five years. "Do you ever feel like that? Like... I don't know, since we're not allowed to do it outside of school that doing magic outside of class feels weird somehow?" This was definitely getting too deep. She'd dropped her compact. Nothing major. Chill, Delilah. She offered the boy another smile, the perfected signature Delilah kind. "I'm Delilah by the way." |

"Are you muggleborn?" It was just a simple question with nothing more behind it than curiosity. It would just be the most logical conclusion for him by the way she was talking. "I'm usually pretty eager to use magic by the time we get back to school." And it was only a year or so until he could use magic on his own, away from school. He gave her a small smile in return and a slight nod at her introduction. "I'm Gunnar." |
Taddy had been cooped up in the castle for a while and he definitely wanted the fresh air, but he wanted to take in a nice view of the scenery. Winter was almost over, as he rubbed his hands together. He didn't know why he was getting so cold lately, but this wouldn't stop him. Reaching the bridge, he leaned against the railing to take a nice look. Now this was neat. |

Waiting no longer, several pairs of hands reached forth for the boy. Eager hands, all grabbing him from every which direction. They pull him off with little effort. Over the side of the bridge to the ravine? Somewhere else? It was hard to tell with how thick the fog remained. Where has he gone? |
