On the Grounds just at the edge of the Forbidden Forest stands a hut which have been the home to many Groundskeepers over the years. Although keeping most of its original exterior, its current resident, Mr. Baldvinsson has added a few things to make himself feel more at home. Dangling in the wind above the door hangs feathers, a few ancient blow horns and some runes for protection. Mind your head.
Once the Groundskeeper have let you in, you are met by a large wooden table in the center of the room where you may take a seat and listen to a story or two. You’ll see no photographs of people but of that of wide, white landscapes, mountains and icy blue water that makes the Great Lake resemble a pond. Except for a small kitchen and a generous sized bed in the corner, the walls of the hut is lined with shelves of old artifacts such as bones, runes, mysterious looking tools and books with titles in foreign Nordic languages.
Please do not touch any of the ancient artifacts that Mr. Baldvinsson has collected over the years. If you wish to take a closer look, ask and if you’re lucky; you may get to know how Mr. Baldvinsson came across said object.
Whether it’s curiosity, seeking advice or just dropping in for a cup of tea, Mr. Baldvinsson enjoys visitors. Knock, take a seat on the bench right next to the door and he will be with you shortly. If not inside, he’s probably out making sure no students wander off into the Forbidden Forest.
Please post your character knocking on the door and we will let you in as soon as possible!
After recieving an especially clear and almost demanding prediction Professor Vance could be seen stepping up on the porch outside Mr Baldvinssons hut carrying a warm apple pie, on a late october, sunday afternoon. She shared an acquaintance with the senior man and sought to explore it further, could it perhaps turn into a friendship?
Juggling with the apple pie Laurel extended a hand to knock, knock on the hut door. She took a few step's backwards as she waited for her colleague to open his door. Hopefully he was in and not out in the Forbidden Forest or somewhere completing his groundskeeping duties.

Haraldur was usually found somewhere on the Grounds, tending to the Pathways or occasionally wandering the Forbidden Forest. When Laurel knocked on his door however, he was inside, busy looking over a practice that one of his Captain’s wanted his comments on. He gave the parchment one last glance before moving from the table towards the door, hoping someone hadn’t put dungbombs in the Broomshed again.
”Laurel?” He raised his eyebrows surprised when he spotted her before his eyes landed on what she was carrying. Could it be…? He did two little (hopefully) subtle sniffs in the air. Apples. Definitely. ”What a pleasant surprise.” Indeed. ”I was just looking over some practices. Would you like to come inside?” He was 99% sure he had some tea to offer her and he could do with a little break from Quidditch.

Laurel had gone down driven by a prediction that told her to go spend some time with Haraldur. Whether he was inside his hut or out and about on the vast grounds remained to be seen however. Luckily though for Laurel was that she didn’t have to wait very long before Haraldur opened his hut door. Looking up at him she smiled broadly. "Hello, Haraldur!" Stepping closer and holding out the pie towards him Laurel added. "I baked an apple pie and thought of sharing it with you, so here i am. I’d love to come inside, maybe we can share the pie and talk?"
Waiting for Haraldur’s answer she asked "So practices, I hope Skylar is doing her captain duties well?" Naturally Laurel asked about the snake house captain because of her head responsibilities, and because she had always liked quidditch herself in school.

She baked a pie? Where did she find the time? Although, he couldn't say he wasn't glad she did. "Yes, yes, by all means, come in!" He stepped aside and waved her in. In to the, quite messy, hut of his. "I didn't expect company...." He mumbled as he shuffled up to the table located in the middle of the room. He usually only had students that visited him and they were never that fussed about the mess. "Let me just..." He shuffled over to the table and with one big motion he collected all the papers into his arms to place them on a small counter. "Yes, yes Skylar is doing a very good job indeed. They all are, of course." He was very proud of his four captains and he was never shy to brag about them before during and after every staff meeting. "Let's see if Skylar can fly home the Quidditch Cup this year again for Slytherin." Nothing was certain until the last Snitch was caught.
"What a pleasant surprise, Laurel." He waved a hand for her to take a seat by table as he rummaged through the cupboards after plates. "Do you often bake... Pies?" He was impressed. He usually just took his broom to the kitchens in the middle of the night and talked to some elfves, but he kept that fact to himself for now.

Stepping up on the porch, Laurel headed into Haraldur’s hut trying not to gawk too much at the messy state of the place or tip the pie too much. His comment about not expecting company made her smile as she watched him shuflle about. "Don’t tidy up on my behalf. It’s my fault for coming for a visit unannounced." Laurel murmured back quietly. Not sure what to do with the warm pie she walked over to set it down on a clean and empty part of the table.
Turning to face Haraldur as he spoke of Skylar she couldnät help but feel proud and glad. "Really? Well I’ll be sure to tell Skylar that you think so highly of her when I see her next." Which would most likely be later that day, when she made her usual nightly visit to the snakes. "I’d be very proud and happy if the snakes brought home that Quidditch Cup again this year, but there are many matches left to go and the snitch is quick."
Sitting down at the table she blushed in response to Haraldurs question as he rummaged around for plates. "This is my first pie attempt, actually i usally just bake smaller things like cookies. Do you bake?"
