| | |  Entrance Hall
 Whether you are brand new to Hogwarts or have been here a while, the Entrance Hall is always a breath-taking sight to see. Always memorable are the high ceilings, the colourful portraits on the walls, and the grand marble staircase. Various torches light the large room, keeping it nice and cozy at all times of the year. Arched windows atop the staircase, featuring the four Hogwarts Founders in all of their glory, bring in natural lighting as well.
This room branches off to the rest of the castle. If you are standing by the enormous oak doors and the House hourglasses, to the right are the doors that lead to the Great Hall. Next to them are doors that will reveal a broom cupboard and the basement corridor. Opposite is a door to a stairwell that will take you do the dungeons and another that will take you down a corridor where the staff room and other rooms can be found. Going up the marble staircase will take you to a corridor that connects to the moving staircase chamber. There is a lot to see here, so take your time exploring!

It was a little before dinner time, but the great hall was already crawling with students all over the place. It was too crowded and loud for what Serena had in mind. Besides the person she was looking for wasn’t in there.
Adjusting her bag over her shoulder, Serena decided to wait by the house hourglasses out in the entrance hall. For all she knew, Jasper could be out on the pitch practicing, but she doubted he’d miss dinner. That boy loved food too much and he wouldn’t risk depleting his energy. Quidditch player problems.

And potatoes? Ooft.
Post-shower, Jasper made his way to the Great Hall, walking at a brisk, but casual pace, only stopping when he spotted the Serena by the hourglasses. He couldn't help but smile as he drew near, pushing his hair back and tilting his head. Hey. There weren't many things that could keep Jasper B from food, but--
"You weren't waiting for me, were you?" He teased, slipping a hand into his pocket as he leaned up against the wall next to her. Who needed dinner anyway?

Annnnnd there he goes. One day his head was going inflate to the size of a giant balloon and Serena would gladly poke at it.
She rolled her eyes at him and crossed her arms over her chest. “Correct. I was waiting for Fabio.” She paused and finally allowed her lips to form a smile. Darn you, Botros. It was getting harder to keep a straight face around him, but that didn’t mean she’d stop trying. “Yes, I was waiting for you. I’m honestly surprised you’re not already in there waiting for food.”

Serena was an excellent secret keeper. She was basically Gringotts but instead of wizards giving her treasure to keep, they gave her secrets. Info. She listened closely, her eyes going slightly wide in surprise. Restocked ice cream? That was one of her weaknesses. Serena licked her lips, imagining digging a spoon into the soft frozen dessert. “ You got me. What’s the price for this valuable piece of information?” There was an 89% chance she was about to skip a whole meal for ice cream.
Maybe Jasper hadn’t been literal about hitting him with her questions. Oops. “ Sorry.” Serena reached out and rubbed the spot on his arm totally trying to ignore the fact that there were muscles there now. He was grinning so no harm done, yeah? And he said yes. That made Serena’s face light up. She grinned, lightly tapping his foot with hers again. “ Cool. Hope you brought your dancing shoes.”

"We can come up with something on the way to ice cream, yeah?"
Because there was about a 98.8% chance he was going to skip a whole meal for ice cream (only to return for food afterwards).
It was sweet the way she reached out to soothe his arm, so Jasper reaaaaally played up the drama for her. Oooooooffff, how it acheeeeeed. Heh. "Don't worry, I did," he smiled widely to match the way her face lit up, tapping her foot gently in return. "I'm actually a good dancer, you know. You can ask Maggie if you don't believe me. She'll vouch for me." He chuckled warmly, still smiling. It was really true though. He had lots of practice twirling Maggie around at all the big events they'd attended over the years.

And though this was all good and fun, it should be noted that on this day in history, Serena Baltazar-Dos Santos admitted that Jasper Amir Botros is cool.
Finally.
