| | Corridor to the Depths
Behind one of the doors off the main hall is a corridor leading down to the vaults. They are made of rough hewn stone and are dimly lit, torches sit in iron brackets along the length of the corridor. The passage way slopes downwards and the stone floor has been worn smooth by centuries of use.
The corridor is long, it takes about ten minutes to reach the tracks at the bottom. When you reach the bottom, in the company of a Goblin, you will be helped into a cart and your journey down to your vault will begin, twisting and turning and dropping miles below the ground. OOC: your post will be deleted if you post here without being escorted by a Goblin. You must post in the Gringotts Main Hall and wait for a Gringotts Goblin to lead your character here.
Once you post here, you will be linked to your character's vault thread, which is specifically for you. When not in use, the vault thread will be moved back into our storage.

Leading the boy Luther Starriver, Sagni began the long trek down the corridor, which sloped downward in dim light. Some people got a little spooked down here, as Sagni was well aware, but she didn't consider it part of her job to reassure them. "Stay close! Stick by me." It was just another long corridor to the goblin, who was well used to the intricate passages down here, but Sagni would have no patience if this one tried to wander off, or dawdled too long.
After a ten minute trudge that took them further and further underground, they finally reached the bottom of the long corridor. Sagni gestured grandly toward the tracks and the goblin carts and briefly eyed the boy to watch his reaction, then opened the little gate on one of the carts and stepped aside to let the boy get in. "After you. Get in, keep your hands inside or you might lose them." |

Minding his step and hoping not to be the most recent victim of many dangers that are told to be lurking in the dark tunnels of Gringotts, Luther carefully followed Sagni.
When she pointed towards the cart, Luther gulped trying not to think about how safe it was. "It cannot be that dangerous." he mumbled to himself. Somewhere deep in his head, he heard a faint roar of an animal, something feline, maybe a lion. He chuckled silently thinking if that was the Gryffindor in him. 'Caes and Aria would probably love this', he thought.
Taking another deep breath and mumbling the four words that have been drilled into his mind since a very young age "Ad astra, per ignorantiam.", he got in the cart. Upon the goblin's warning, his eyes widened slightly and he quickly tucked his hands into his pockets. Then while playing with his ring in one hand and with his ribbon in the other, he tried to brace himself for the ride to the vault.

Once the child was in the cart, Sagni got in too and wrenched the lever to start the cart rolling. And rolling. And picking up speed. And faster. AND FASTER. Soon it was hurtling at full speed deeper and deeper underground. Passing the lower level vaults, and through some of the medium level security measures. Somewhere in the distance a dragon roared.
And then... the cart slowed down. Deep below the ground, it came to a stop in front of a landing which had vaults 801-900 arrayed around it. "811." Sagni said, and kicked the cart's door open. They had arrived at the Starriver family vault.

The cart started moving with a jolt. As the air moved in his hair, Luther thought 'This is not so different than riding a broom.' Then Sagni moved the lever. That was the last thing Luther could notice.
The cart was going at an incredible speed and it was accelerating. After what felt like a second and an eternity simultaneously, the cart slowed down and stopped.
Sagni's voice wrenched Luther from the daze of the ride. He blinked a couple of times, cleared his throat and stepped out of the cart. Then he stood next to the goblin waiting for her next instruction.

Leading the witch Charlotte Chen, Sagni began trudging down the long corridor, which sloped downward in dim light. It was the kind of place that some people found a little ... spooky. Sagni knew this, but did not particularly care. "Don't lag behind. You doesn't want to get lost," she called over her shoulder. She would have little patience with a witch or wizard who wandered off and got lost in the intricate passageways.
After walking for about ten minutes, going further and further underground, , they finally came to the end of the corridor to where the goblin carts awaited their passengers. Sagni gestured rather haphazardly toward the tracks--normally she like to make a bit of a production about this, but today she was not in the mood. She didn't even look back to judge the young witch's reaction, but just opened the little gate on the first cart that came to hand and stepped aside to let the the woman get in. "After you. Get in, keep your hands inside or you might lose them." |

Once they reached the corridor to the vaults, Sagni led the way with the brass key in hand. Charlie couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity about what was stored inside the other vaults, but she knew better than to ask. "Thank you, Sagni," Charlie said, offering a small smile. As she climbed into the cart and braced herself for what she knew would be a bumpy ride.

Sagni nodded gruffly at this customer's courtesy, which she appreciated, and her manner grew somewhat less grumpy. Once her passenger was in the cart, Sagni got in too and jerked the lever to start the cart rolling. And rolling. And picking up speed. And faster. AND FASTER. Soon it was hurtling at full speed deeper and deeper underground. Arriving at the first level of vaults, the cart gradually slowed down and came to a stop in fron of a landing which had vaults 001-100 arranged around it. "059." Sagni said, and kicked the cart's door open. They had arrived.
