Corridor to the Depths https://i.postimg.cc/vBN5vZbz/corrid...ths-banner.jpg Behind one of the doors off the main hall is a corridor leading down to the vaults. They are made of rough hewn stone and are dimly lit, torches sit in iron brackets along the length of the corridor. The passage way slopes downwards and the stone floor has been worn smooth by centuries of use. |
Leading the child Mary Muldoon, Sagni began the long march down the corridor, which sloped downward in lowlight. Some of the children that came here, Sagni knew, got a little spooked by it. Well she wasn't here to reassure them. "Stay close! Stick by me." Not that she could get lost here - it was simply one long corridor after all, but the goblin would have no patience if this one tried to wander off, or lingered overlong. When they did finally reach the bottom of the long corridor, after a ten minute trudge further and further underground, with the hand holding the girl's key, Sagni gestured at the tracks and the goblin carts with a flourish, then opened the little gate for the girl to get inside the cart. "Get in, keep your hands inside or you might lose them." |

She got into the cart, heart beating rapidly. She remembered to put her hands in and her feet on the bottom. |

And then... the cart slowed down. Deep below the ground, it came to a stop in front of a landing which had vaults 650-655 arrayed around it. "654." Sagni said, and kicked the cart's door open. They had arrived at the Muldoon family vault. |
Tex lead the way back down a long corridor, slowly changing to what looked like an underground cavern. She continued walking until they reached an awaiting mine cart. "You will want to be sure to remain completely in the cart at all times." she warned, before getting in. As soon as everyone was safely aboard, they'd take off. |

They continued on with the fast-paced mine cart ride. After a particularly steep drop, the cart came to a halt with a loud SCREECH. "Vault 619." she said, completely at ease with the ride. "Follow me." ooc: Posted in your vault for you. :) |

Lyzrog was as unbothered as ever by the ride in the mine cart. This was significantly shorter than one that she'd taken earlier in the day. In fact, she felt like she barely had time to think before the cart was slowing to a stop. She made her way out of the cart. "If you would follow me." she said leading the way out of the cart and veering left toward a row of doors. She stopped to the left of a door like any other and motioned to the central lock in the middle of the door. His key would unlock the vault. ooc: After your character puts in the key he can go ahead and access his vault. |
SPOILER!!: Tex! Eniola followed him down the corridor. She was glad to have Tex leading her because she probably would have missed the door herself had Tex not stopped and inserted a key. Now it was Eni's job to do the same. As Eni placed her key in the lock she looked at Tex waiting to make sure she was able to enter in. It had been a while since she'd been there. It was silly really, it is her vault. OOC: there was no link for a vault? |

She motioned toward the opening after the door stopped moving to indicate it was safe to enter. |
After taking some money out of his vault, Giovanni followed the goblin back to the carts. It really was cold down here. He looked up and saw that the ceiling had a thin layer of frost. He looked back down and continued following the goblin. Giovanni heard a dragon's roar from far off. Was that a Peruvian Longtooth? And if so, what was it doing in England? These questions circled around in his head as he stepped into the mine cart again and rightly held on. How big was Gringotts? Another question in his head. |
SPOILER!!: Tex Eni entered the vault and gathered what she needed into her purse. When she finished she nodded at the goblin and walked out the door, turning her key once more and waiting for the goblin to complete his part in sealing the vault. |

She sealed up the vault before heading back to the mine cart to make the journey back to the surface. |

She smiled at him again, before turning to follow the goblin into the corridor. She paused just beside the cart, before stepping inside. She always enjoyed these rides and the ticklish feeling the drops gave her. |

He then glanced over the edge of the minecart as it left the platform. He wasn't super thrilled every time he had to visit his vault. He much preferred muggle roller coasters -- those were predictable, used physics, and most importantly, they didn't feel like they were literally held together by magic. |
Quote:
She watched him curiously as he looked over the edge of the cart. "I am going to take a wild guess and say that you do not find riding minecarts to be super exciting?" |
Quote:
He chuckled again as her laugh echoed. "That is pretty interesting. I can fairly say you're the only person I met that has said that." He glanced over the edge again at her question. "I don't like feeling like magic is the only thing keeping me safe." he said simply. |
The goblin was quite capable of tuning out wandwaver chatter. He found their conversations very uninteresting (ironic considering the amount of time they had said the word). What was interesting though was the SUDDEN LUUUURCH the cart made before coming to an unexpected and complete HALT in the middle of the track. The goblin, who was luckily quite stable remained in his seat despite the... inconvenience. (Had he mentioned safety guidelines to the humans? He couldn't remember. Hopefully they weren't foolishly hanging over the side a moment ago.) He peered over the side and said nothing. This was new and he was assessing the situation. |
Yassi smiled proudly, she liked to think she made valid points quite often. "Really?" Though she knew it wasn't a common career, she still found it surprising. Or perhaps her surprise was just a first instinct. "It's always a good laugh," seeing people attempt to apparate across the room and land only a few centimeters beyond their starting point. Splinching was horrible though. "I see the--EEEEEEEP," all thoughts of anything she had thought to say before had immediately flown into the abyss upon the sudden stop. Yassi found herself flying forward just a bit, her eyes doubling in size. She looked over to Bennett to ensure that he was fine, giving him a look that could only be described as '???????' before turning forward again. "Mister..." had he ever shared his name? The goblin? "Is... Everything alright?" |
Bennett was about to chuckle at her comment, but instead his eyes went wide as the mine cart lurched. His hands automatically reaching to steady her if she needed some help. Mister? Sir? Err. What was the proper name for a Goblin? Did they have titles? He should probably know this. He patted himself down to ensure he was alright. Seemed he was fine and all in one piece. |
Goblins were known for being extremely clever and cunning. Despite this fact, a look of surprise was visible. This was an unusual turn of events. "Everything is perfectly safe here at Gringotts." he said, immediately, as if out of habit. Everything was Being good at his job, the goblin knew exactly where they were. "We'll get off here." Yes. In the middle of the track in the middle of the cavern. "Around that bend is your vaults." They'll take a different cart and a different track back. He would then report the issue to Sturnik. |
