I cried for half almost an hour. My mum actually tought I had severely injured myself and was crying out the pain. And then I found myself reading the series again, trying to fill in the hole it left.

Denial, then critism of the Epilouge, then sadness, then hope for another book, then finally, accepting its over, and joining the fandom

Sadness, I nearly cried, then I was just stunned that it was over for a couple days, then solemn acceptance

I think my reaction to when I finished the Deathly Hallows book, was my heart sank. I was depressed and I am like, "Oh my god it's over what do I do with my life? What am I gonna read? What book parties am I gonna go to?" Like I kept putting it off finishing too fast. I didn't want the ending to come but it had to. I was happy with the ending actually. I knew it would be peaceful after all Harry went through. J.K. Rowling did her time and I knew her reaction was much more severe than mine.

When I finished Deathly Hallows I actually sat on my bed for about 30 minutes in silence as I couldn't believe this Harry Potter chapter of my life was over. Little did I know the Cursed Child and Fantastical Beasts were coming out later, but at the time it was really weird. I guess I was more in shock it was all over than more than sad or happy.

I felt very sad. It was all over. I cried a little. My childhood was finally over. I finished High School the same year that DH came out. I did not want it to be over. I wanted more. I needed more and wanted to know more.

I actually wanted more although I was not displeased with the final result. I am glad that they have continued with other HP projects since Deathly Hallows.

I still remember feeling a mixture of emotions: sadness that it had all come to an end, happiness that a few of my fave characters had survived and had the opportunity to lead happy lives and a yearning for more {after Cursed Child, that yearning somewhat diminished}.

I always feel nostalgic for the HP books as they help me relive some some of the best times in my teenage years <3

I also remember wanting to find MORE after I read!! Fortunately there was plenty of fanfiction and fanworks to get sucked into. I remember staying up until 6 in the morning reading fanfiction on the computer on school nights because I was just so eager to have MORE content. I think it's definitely because throughout the series, the characters became people I loved and I became so invested in them. I especially found it really easy to get sucked into fanworks concerning the characters we didn't know as well because I just wanted to know more about their lives and that wasn't always something that was provided for us.

I could read about the marauders for DAYS (months? years? lifetimes?) on end

quill Lots of feels

I felt empty and also I felt a little bit cheated since we didn't get to meet the Weasleys or any of the others when the dust had settled after The Battle of Hogwarts, but most of all I wanted to go back and I have been going back, back and back since 2007 and the story still hold and I still want to visit the Burrow post The Battle of Hogwarts even though I know the family is in shock etc... So.. I felt many things and I am forever thankful to Joanne for creating it all. An utterly brilliant masterpiece.

I had already known the ending since I watched the movies first. I only recently read the books. I thought the ending was well done, tragic, but hopeful. Sad, some characters died, but happy others lived. I like the epilogue. I think it's a good conclusion to Harry's story.

Omg. I would give anything to get the feeling of finishing it for the first time again! But it was such a weird feeling! I sped through like 90% of deathly hallows in less than 24 hours after I brought it home from the book store, then I procrastinated reading the last few pages because I didn't want it to end!

Then when I finally turned that last page, I remember sitting there in a sort of catatonic shock. Like wondering what do I do with my life now?

It took me a few weeks before I picked up another book again without feeling like I was cheating on the Harry Potter series
