Oh, seventh year then. So, a couple of years her senior. "Oh, I ran into a few people from other countries already and thought I'd be sure..." That and back home they usually shopped for their things in either America or Mexico, so you know. It was better to be sure than to just assume, after all. "So, what's it usually like?" Yes, she did have a slight curious side, but he didn't want to talk about that, it was fine too. "Oh, where are my manners?! My name is Dalia, I'm an exchange student from Cuba. What's your name?" |
It had been a long and draining week in the office. Nathaniel had been so ready for some time to just relax, and ice cream was exactly what was called for. He loosened the tie he had around his neck, as he hated wearing them but occasionally had to when he had business in the muggle world. He was looking at all of the choices trying to make up his mind on what he wanted. These were the hard choices in life. He moved his longer than normal hair behind his ear and continued to stare at all the other people choosing a flavor. He wondered what they were getting. Maybe he should just ask one of them to see what they had to get an idea of what he wanted. Especially since it was a nice day and he wanted to enjoy some ice cream, before they closed.... he should be able to make a decision by then. |

Leon had seen the costumer come in, of course, he did. He took his order and they were slow enough that we could tell he was trying to figure things out. The only thing he wasn't sure of was if he should go and give his two knuts or if he should just keep cleaning. The shop was still so dirty, but it was getting better. Leon had spent day and night cleaning and cleaning. "If you are looking to keep it simple I would say just chocolate chip, but if you want to get a little cray cray go for the sprinkles, strawberries, and peanut butter." Okay he couldn't pass up a chance to talk to a customer. |

Sauntering back to the front he grabbed two dishes and turned to come back to the toppings area. Yes, Leon did like to make a scene when he moved around his shop, but who wouldn't? "Now let's see, we can get you all the chocolate chips and then get a little risky." He poured chocolate chips into the first dish and then the second he scooped a few different things before handing them over to the man. "This should work out wonderfully." |
Quote:
Glancing down at the ice cream feeling his inner child unleash he couldn't even begin to describe the mouthwatering feeling of the simple scoops and the adventurous scoops. "This looks amazing..." he hadn't caught his name and felt terrible for it but was really hoping that he would offer it up freely. Maybe even sit for a chat since there weren't many others around yet. |
Quote:
"I don't think I've seen you in here before if this your first time with us?" He hadn't owned the shop for too long, but maybe he didn't think he would miss such a handsome man coming into his shop. |
Quote:
A smile crossed his face, "oh," he felt a blush creep into his cheeks. "Not first time, just very few visits. Usually I go with something tame." A chuckle escaped his lips as he watched the other man interact with him. "I'm starting to wonder if I made a mistake not coming in here more often. This stuff is so good." He looked back at Leon, "How long have you been a part of this place? I'm Nathaniel by the way" Wow he was unusually chatty and he wasn't sure if that was a good thing because he felt so at ease or if because this good looking guy was making him slightly nervous. |

When he went for the chocolate chips, Leo knew it was a good choice and he took a bite of his own creation. "Oh I see, well maybe this will be the start of a regular customer then." He could hope to see him in here more often. "We can get creative every time you come, maybe something new each time. I was thinking about doing a VIP customer card or something. You know those buy three get the fourth free type things." It was one of the many things he was thinking about. "Oh I've owned it for about a year now. My brother and I own a restaurant a few streets over that has done well, but I wanted to try my hand at something different so here I am." He smiled and looked around, it was a good choice. "What is it that you do?" |
Quote:
Nodding along to Leon telling him about his brother and their successful restaurant made him smile. Even though he wasn't usually a talker he found himself wanting more and more conversation with Leon. "Oh," He chuckled wiping his face with the napkin from the table. "I work over at the Ministry. I'm on the PR team for Quidditch." Blushes because while good at his job he hated talking about his accomplishments. |
Harper and Lawraaaa <3 It may have almost been Summer, but that didn't stop Léonne from picking window seats within Fortescue's instead of a table outside in the Alley itself. No, it was much cooler here than her own, beloved Paris, so she took a seat as she waited for her girlfriend to turn up. Not that she was late, Lé had simply managed to slip away early from rehearsals today. Resting her chin in her palm, she smiled softly as she stared out of the window and watched the Alley. There were no school-aged children as yet.. but she knew that they would be home any day now. Lé tried to think about what else they needed from the shops here before they headed back to Paris but all she could think about was the sundae that she was going to create when Harper arrived. Mmmmm. Ice cream. |
Quote:
That somehow didn't stop her from asking though. Whether the question was habit or some deeply buried, subconscious worry, it didn't matter. Harper pressed on, "It's Tana's birthday soon, and I literally have no clue what to get her. I saw a cute mug with 'plant lady' on it, but she probably wouldn't get it." Her youngest sister was notoriously difficult to buy gifts for - the exquisite Champagne the couple had got her when she past her thesis presentation was probably still sat unopened, gathering dust in a corner. "What else do we need? I really can't be bothered coming back next week, when all the kids are off." |
open :3 It was a warm, sunny day to go out and treat herself for some delicious cup of ice cream. She has a bit of time left before the school will start and her internship will be finishing soon as well. This was pretty much a day off she deserves. Jillian strolled around Diagon Alley and bought herself a few school supplies- ones that she really needed (like parchment and quill ink mostly). Her father took the liberty of buying her books when he went out shopping for pet stuff. She made a quick stop and walked right in to Florean's- a place she is excited to go to. With a quick glance on the menu she smiled at the cashier and ordered herself a tall glass of chocolate milkshake and a small cup of vanilla ice cream. It's her favorite combo. She then made her way and sat inside. Taking a sip and smiling from the sweetness. Ahhh... "Soooo yummy" she uttered out. |
Open HELLO SUMMER! Leo was always excited for summer, the busy time for ice cream was always his favorite time, though Leo felt very blessed that the shop did very well in the off season too. He walked around greeting the costumers as he cleaned up tables that weren't in use anymore. "Is everyone doing alright? Need anything else?" He wanted to make sure all his costumers felt special and got everything they needed. Wasn't summer the best? |
It had taken much wailing, and sobbing and then tearful little sniffles accentuated with pitiful sniffles, but Emmerson had convinced her mother to take her out for ice-cream. Make no mistake, this was not an easy task. She'd had to come to terms with the fact that her mother would not be swayed by her tears, no matter how fretful, then she had to console herself as real tears started and after that she had to compose herself enough to stop crying, cuddle up with her mama and ask in civilized manner to be taken for ice-cream. Growing up was difficult. It was the fifth time her mother had told her she was no longer little enough and cute enough to get away with crocodile tears at the drop of a hat. What would she do now? The 10 year old was unaccustomed to not having her way and with the stress of work lately, her mum had become disgustingly protective. It meant a lot more nos than she'd heard in her entire life and quite frankly, she didn't like it one bit. Emmerson took a seat at one of the booths, setting her bowl of chocolate frog flavour sundae on the table before her. She would begin eating while her mum stopped over at the bank. No need to wait. |
As he flashed through the door to the ice cream parlour, hopping on one foot as he did so. He could barely keep the grin off his face as he plopped himself on one of the white stools, beside a blonde girl he hadn't seen before. He greeted her with a hundred watt smile, before going to fix his shoe on his foot and properly tying his lace, before he fell---again. |
For the first time ever Trevor had been given the freedom to go out by himself, he had been looking forward to his 10th birthday since he was 5years old for this very reason! He would plead to do all the big kid stuff with his older brothers as a young one and his mom would always say- ‘yes when you are older’ ‘how older’ trevor would query despondently ‘hmmmm 10’ his mother would respond not wanting to crush his spirits too much. The day had finally arrived it was bright, it was sunny, Trevor was feeling like a million dollars he bursts open the door of the ice cream parlour to find a blonde girl with a sundae and a whimsical looking boy, both around his age. ‘Hey’ how much was that sundae’ he asked walking over with a big grin on his face. |
What fresh hell was this...? Emmerson raised a brow, spoon halfway to her mouth with the next bite of super delicious chocolate frog amazingness. One minute, she'd been minding her own business and the next....Grins McGee was plopping down across from her and his side kick Door Buster was trailing behind. She watched them with a level look trying to figure out what had them grinning so big. It took a moment, but things were coming together. Running. Grinning. Toppling over. They were UP to something. Boys were always better at that. Not her boyfriend, he wasn't but that was okay because he was pretty and they made a cute couple. Annnnnyway, these boys, these boys must've known something she didn't. "Forget the ice-cream," Who cared what it cost at a time like this? "What're you two up to? Can I join? I'm brilliant fun if Mummy doesn't find out. She'd probably arrest you both, then, ground me. Nevermind." Emmerson pushed to her feet. "I don't care what it is. I'm in but we've got to be quick about it." |
Trevors eyes beamed with joy ‘FRIENDS on his first day out’ he thought to himself excitedly. “yes, my name is Trevor, I, I live a couple blocks from here, today is my birthday I’m 10 so my mom said I could go out on my own now as long as I don’t go more than 2 blocks from wherever my brothers are, one of my brothers is around the corner with, at- at his friend Josh’s place, Josh has a PlayStation, do you have any brothers and sisters? What’s your mom like, my mom is really nice” He paused finally gasping for air, growing conscious of the seemingly unstoppable flow of his own mouth. The excitement had gone all the way to his head and he had lost control of his mouth, this happens often to Trevor *silence*. |
Paulie & Tori & the kids??? An ice cream parlour was the perfect choice to have a family outing with the F Legend wasn't with her, though, he usually joined but it had been a busy week for him at work, so she'd spared him from accompanying his two girls out today. Also, didn't want him to suffer babysitting their little terror today and brought Storm with her to the ice cream parlour. "I hate ice cream," the six-year-old complained with her trademark frown on her face. "It's cold food." While Storm had her looks from her father, the similarities in her tone, attitude and mannerism were definitely all Louisa's. She did like aunt Tori's clothes, and uncle Paulie's jokes... so, yeah, she was here where cold food was served. Louisa ignored her daughter for a moment, got a big table for them because let's face it, Paulie and Tori had like eleven kids. Okay, that was a lie, they had only two but they were so young, you'd feel there were more of them in the room, ya know? "It's delicious, all kids love ice cream." she answered easily, smiling subtly and pushing a paper of menu towards her daughter. |
SPOILER!!: because this escalated real fast It had only taken one second for Gump's expression to go from *Hi world. Ice creaaaaaamm. save the whales* to *how could any halfway decent human being forget ice cream* then wha-wha- what are you talking about?, you must be one of those crazy chicks my brothers keep telling me about*. SPOILER!!: because we are bestiess Unlike the girl, the boy who had come in after him, seemed oddly familiar, maybe it was because Gump also had a habit of sometimes going a mile a minute when he was excited. He hopped off the stool. Never one to pass over opportunities and this certainly wasn't something that happened all the time. As he looked between the crazy blonde haired girl and the boy who had just barreled in right behind him, a truly mischievous grin formed on his face. "Wanna go try and raid somewhere?" |
Trevors eyes were are about to pop out of his head with excitement, “you bet!” he exclaimed! ”but raid what?”he asked in a curiously puzzled manner |
SPOILER!!: You two :3 Emmerson Nicole Justine Cambridge was about to discard just about everything this Trevor kid said--who cared, honestly? siblings were gross and sucked attention--but then he asked about her mum and as it so happened, this little girl was her mama's biggest fan. SHE was the sort of mother you bragged about and it made Emm feel big, even bigger than she already felt. "My mum is the head of the whole of Magical Law Enforcement. She's in charge of practically everything. She can do anything." Emm finished with much resolve. In her mind, there was nothing her mother couldn't do. Her mum was every superhero every, combined, even when she was being super overprotective and annoying about it. And now that she'd gotten through ensuring both boys understood they were losing by not having her mummy, she was ready to listen to whatever they'd been up to. "A raid? In Diagon Alley? With all the aurors patrolling and mummy just outside? You'll get arrested for sure. Don't you two know anything that's happening?" She did. Her mum gave her the details, the ones she could understand. Emm lowered her voice in like fashion to someone sharing a ghost tail. The 10 year old leaned over the table some to appear more ominous. [b]"There's weird things happenin'. |
omg you guyssssssss Quote:
He followed his little family into the ice cream parlor and beamed at the sight of the former Ravenclaw. "Helen! Fancy meetin' you here," he said before proceeding to wrap her in a hug. He plopped a hand on Storm's head and mussed up her hair in proper old-person fashion. "All right there, squirt?" |
