If sitting inside just isn't your thing, Floreans offers you an alternative option to wandering the streets of Diagon with your tasty confection. Outside of the shop doors, in a small, well-kept courtyard out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the rest of Diagon Alley, there can be found small, colourful tables with a handful of equally colourful chairs scattered about. While our ice cream is charmed to be slow-melting, our customers, we assume, are not, and thus each table is equipped with an umbrella that can be opened or closed at your discretion. These tables, like the ones inside, can be pushed together or pulled apart to accommodate any size party, but please do take care to think of others who might be sitting around you!
A napkin dispenser can be found at every table, along with a small wooden stand bearing spare plastic spoons and a bunch of small, prepackaged wet-wipes to help clean up those sticky hands.
And please don't try to remove any of the tables or chairs from the courtyard. The seating, while not fixed down, is charmed to be unable to leave the small space. So don't get any ideas! Just sit back, relax, and enjoy your ice cream.

Would it be bad if he ordered ice cream and start eating it without waiting for Cornelius? Or better yet, what about ordering TWO ice creams so when the now fourth year showed up he was going to have his ice cream ready. See? Efficiency at its finest.
Hugo ordered two scoops of cookies and cream for him and...two scoops of chocolate for Cornelius. He actually wasn't sure what kind of flavour he liked but was hoping that chocolate will do and that Cornelius wasn't like him 'cause Hugo didn't liked chocolate. He went to find a seat outside and wait for him and also cast a charm on Cornelius' ice cream so it wouldn't melt.
OOOOH the joys of growing up. Not really. He'd grown a few inches taller what seemed over night (which he didn't mind - taller than most of the ladies now), body hair...don't get him started on that. Worst of ALL, his face was getting SPOTS.
S P O T S on his beautiful face.
What a disgrace. An utter, utter disgrace. His sisters said they'd go away and they even got him several brands of concealer stuff. He felt like a girl, so the curly-haired boy refused to use them. He did though, accept his mother's acne potion. They wouldn't disappear the spots on, well, on spot, but they would make them go away fast.
With a huge one on his forehead, the Slytherin styled his hair in a way that covered it. See. The only one who go his back good was his hair. His hair AND Hugo, the latter of which he was here to meet.
Not only was his physical aspect acting out, but also...other things. Cornelius just KNEW Hugo was the man to go to. It was Hugo Foster after all.
Spotting the former Slytherin Prefect (oh - that still hurt), Cornelius' face brightened. "Heeeey, wassup?!" he grinned, clapping Hugo on the back.
With his copy of WSPM laid out on the table in front of him, Henry browsed through some of the articles as he started eating his chocolate frog ice cream. He paused as he noticed a brief mention about his sister. Her name wasn't found very often in sports magazines anymore, but he found this rumor blurb about her joining Cannons practices to be interesting, especially as they were speculating her return to the game. Well. He knew the truth about that.
He was so involved in the magazine that he hadn't even noticed Kat until she sat down next to him and spoke his name. Looking up suddenly, he turned and gave the girl a grin. "Hey, Kat! How's summer going?" She certainly was welcome company. And he wouldn't mind catching up with her a little bit as he hadn't seen her in a while.
But not more than a moment passed before a younger boy had stopped at their table asking to join them. The more the merrier, right? And was that a canary on the kid's shoulder? Cool. "Yeah, sure, have a seat," the fifteen year old grinned at the boy. "I'm Henry and this is my good friend Katerina," he added as an introduction, gesturing to the girl sitting with him.
JP smiled at them both surprised that the older kids would let him sit with them. His canary sitting on his shoulder. JP extended his hand, "Nice to meet you both! My name is JP. I'm going into my first year if you couldn't already tell by the clueless look on my face. Decided to take a break from wandering around. This place looked like a good place to relax for a second."

Adi faked scoff. "I can beat you anytime, just admit it, Lux.'' That innocent smile that he usually used when he was far from innocent lingered on his face. "Just because I'm feeling super sorry for you and I don't want to make you sad, I'll let you believe that blue is the best colour.'' Wasn't he just the best best friend?
"Nooo, for fake, Lux,'' Adi said with a laugh. But then he shook his head. "I was hoping you'd want to help me do that. I want to propose on his birthday.'' Actually, he knew Lux would want to help. "If you don't, I won't treat you to ice cream.'' Hehe.

Okay. So he DID feel a little bad about all this...particularly for his eardrums after Jessa SCREAMED like that and he had to still try and pretend to be out of it. Was she aware how loud she could be? It was actually pretty impressive and he was a little flattered that she screamed louder over him than she did every time she saw Scamander.
Which was why he was unable to prevent himself from cracking a small smile and subtle boyish giggle.

Jessa Cambridge was completely beside herself. She'd abandoned her accident prone friend for ice-cream and now he was likely dead--okay, not dead, the steady motion of his chest told her there was still life but STILL, he was non-responsive. This classified as a medical emergency and she had no idea where her father had gotten off to!!!!!
She would have to go find him, somehow, anyway she could! Jessa hopped to her feet, all set to run when she heard that familiar giggle.
...
......
The smile was unmistakable as she looked down and this realization made her red in the face. "DERFAEL ASHBURRY-HAWTHORNE YOU SCARED ME!!" She all but wailed. The 12 year old reached down and took hold of his hand to pull him up.

After looking at the new Quidditch broomsticks a few shops away, Isabel walked happily into the ice cream shop. After having a long day shopping for her new robes, due to the fact that she'd grown taller through-out vacations, Bell felt her feet hurting and her tongue strongly desiring ice-cold chocolate. Her father would've loved to be there, having as many ice cream scoops as he could, with as many toppings his stomach could handle, but unfortunately, her mother wanted to check a few more shops before the evening ran out.
Isabel walked outside the ice cream shop, holding her mint chocolate chip scoop in a cup and looked around the courtyard for an empty space to sit. It was a really sunny day, so she picked an empty table with the umbrella open. Her skin was so pale and fragile sticking around the sun too much meant reddened skin the next day. She grabbed a plastic spoon from the wooden stand in the center of the table and happily scooped a little of her minty ice cream into her mouth. She felt a little talkative today...she was hoping she could meet someone.

Derf just so happened to squint mere milliseconds prior to Jessa yelling at him, so new hue to her complexion did not go entirely unnoticed. "You forgot Mitchell," he grinned, now with his eyes properly opened and reaching for her hands to help pull himself up.
Good news? All his knuts were now in one place...mostly.
And yeah....he did feel bad about scaring her.
"You're not crying fough," he casually observed. "Fat's good."
So he hadn't scared her to tears, you know?
But anyway....ice cream? Ice cream.

"No no no, no grinning. I'm trying to be very distraught right now." She insisted, putting on her most solemn face. It was an expression that proved difficult to maintain though and soon it was all she could do to NOT end up smiling along. Eye rolls helped with that and that's exactly what he got as she helped him to his feet.
"And I'm not crying yet." Jessa flopped into her seat, extending one of the spoons toward him. "I was two seconds away from darting down the alley looking for anyone who knew how to bring a kid back to life--I'd have questions for 'em after, and for you too on what it was like--but I was still worried." It was important to add the last bit....as well as..."Do that again the rats at Hogwarts won't be my only involuntary experiment volunteers." How many witnesses sat out here? Couldn't say he wasn't warned, yeah?
Now sufficiently getting over the earlier scare, Jessa's shoulders slump into a noticeably more relaxed fashion and the crazy look had gone from her eyes, giving way to curiosity. "Have you gotten most of your stuff ready for school yet?"

Colt was looking at his menu and he looked up and saw a girl standing there. He debated asking if she should join him. He wouldn't be a gentlemen if he didn't offered but then again she was providing some nice shade. He cleared his throat and said, "You know that seat is empty if you would prefer.." he motioned towards his empty seat across from him. She looked familiar though. She seemed to be in the same year too. He couldn't help but observe and wonder where he knew her from. "I'm sorry you look so familiar.." he commented.
What had made He-who-must-not-be-named abduct Florean Fortescue in the great wizarding war? What sort of information could an ice cream maker have had, 94 what threat could he have posed to make it imperative that he be taken and never seen or heard from again? Aslan glanced about the shoppe with it'a warm decorations, pastel attachments and slew of customers and though many answers to her questions flocked to her mind, none of them seemed the right kind. The menu she'd picked up from a neighboring table was now sadly crumbled in her small, calloused hand, but the 16-year-old witch had no mind for it or ice cream. She'd become quite lost in the midst of her wondering.
Which, lead to the unfortunate side effect of completely not hearing the boy'a offer to sit or his following remark of familiarity, a remark she would have echoed. Arms loosely wrapped around her waist, Aslan raised a thoughtful fist to her chin and went on in her thinking, undisturbed.
He looked up and then looked at the chairs. He didn't say anything at first. His mind was thinking, not really thinking about whether or not she joined him, that he didn't care, but what and how to respond. "People are sitting there. Can't you see them?" He gave the empty chairs weird looks as if he was actually looking at people that were just invisible.
What it could happen!
Looking back at the girl, "These are my brothers this is Dom, this is Jaq, and this is Bob." He laughed as if one of them just told a joke.
Miranda scooped a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth as she waited for the boy's response... ... Any day now...
She eyed him as he thought about whether or not to answer and then.....' Whaaaaa?...' Okay she could see he was abit different.. She looked to the three seemingly empty chairs with a look that nearly gave away her first impressoin of him but thought better of making a big deal out of it.. Instead she greeted each of the empty seats as if though they were in fact occupied. " Well, It's very nice to meet you all.. My name's Miranda.. ", She said with a warm and friendly smile. Then she turned to the boy she had first addressed and introduced herself to him as well. " Perhaps one of your brother's would be so kind as to offer me a seat?"
Surely he'd have to offer her a seat now. Especially since she was nice enough to play along with his little rouse.. Waiting expectantly as she eats more of the refreshing treat.

Ice cream!!!!!
This was one of Harriet's favourite parts of Diagon Alley. That and the ultra cool ink shop. But she couldn't eat ink, and since she was super hungry, she totally had to get to the ice cream shop. So she could have some of her favourite ice cream. This was the first year that she was really allowed to go shopping on her own, and be trusted. So she was totally going to take advantage of it.
She had queued patiently inside the shop and was practically bouncing once she got outside. She had a big sundae, with chocolate frog ice cream. She was so excited. So she quickly found herself a seat and sat down.
Now to simply enjoy.

Genny loved ice cream more than anything else in summer. She was told she had to lay off it while she was practicing for Quidditch but that was the one thing she could not sacrifice so easily, not even for her favorite sport. The parlor was crowded as anticipated, but the fourteen year managed to get her big cone of raspberry, vanilla and kiwi combination out to the courtyard where it was not that hot as in the streets.
"Hatti! oh hi." Spotting one of her friends from Hogwarts, she walked carefully towards the other girl and took a seat. "Oooooh chocolate, amazing. Maybe I'll have another with that after this one." She chopped down on her ice cream with a giggle.

Harriet was busy eating her ice cream, quite slowly actually. She wanted to savour every mouthful. Whilst they had loads of ice cream at home, they didn't have these really cool flavours. So she was going to savour every bite she got of her favourite flavour. Maybe she could ask her mom to buy some. They must sell the flavour somewhere else too. She was also pretty sure that if her Mom said no, that her father would let her have some. Hattie was a daddy's girl, so could always get her dad to say yes to whatever she wanted.
She looked up as she heard a voice, and she beamed. A friend! Yay for friends! "Hi Genny!" Hattie beamed at her friend. She hadn't seen her for a while, which made sense since they weren't at school now. "Yep! It's my favourite!" The third year to-be replied as she took another big mouthful. "What have you got?"

"I like to make up my own combinations because I get too bored of repeating the same mix." Was her answer too complicated for an ice cream flavor? "Raspberry, vanilla and kiwi." She grinned and gave the cone a big old lick.
Looking around, the Gryffindor remained quiet for a moment enjoying her treat and offering her companion the same luxury. It was one of the few situations where Genny can be quiet, food and a Quidditch match were her two secret fixes if you hated how loud she could be. As far as she knew, it was only her parents who knew them.

"Aww! I don't. I always have chocolate" But then it was chocolate, and so it was always great. She did sometimes get different flavours. But she always added chocolate to it. It was kind of like she was addicted to it. Which she kind of was. But she didn't mind. She did exercise, so she didn't mind being addicted.
"Ooh... It sounds yummy...." Hattie mused with a smile. It probably wasn't a combo that she herself would try, maybe not together, but it sounded nice. They were quiet for a few moments, but that was okay. It meant that she could eat her ice cream in peace, and savour the flavours. Nom nom nom. It was really yummy.
She did finally speak after a few moments, not liking too much quiet. "Are you having a nice summer"?

Chocolate was great, too, of course. Only people with cruel hearts did not like chocolate, she used to think when she was younger. Heh heh. She believed everything she heard from people-- and with a bunch of sarcastic people around her, that was risky. She was better at understanding sarcasm now so this was fixed.
Summer? Oh summer. "Yeah, it's great! Sometimes I don't wish to go back to school." She laughed. "I'm going on U17 tryouts soon next week, I hope to get in. What about you? Anything special you need to do in summer?"

Harriet placed her spoon down, and wiped at her mouth. The last thing that she wanted was to have chocolate melted all around her mouth. That would be embarrassing, especially when a friend. She didn't want her friends to be laughing at her. After doing so, she had a few more spoonfuls of ice cream. Oh it was so yummy.
"I do. I miss Hogwarts. Not the lessons. Just the castle" She mused with a smile. She loved doing art around the castle so much. "Oh really? My best friend is on that team" And she loved supporting Noah at his matches. It was really cool. "I'm going to art camp next week. It's gonna be really fun" She loved her art, so it was going to be great to do a whole week of it. Hopefully she would get a bit better at it.

What she was believing him? No, that wasn't the case, she was just going along with it. Either way he smiled and pretended again to laugh at what his pretend brother said. He looked towards the girl and gave a smile, "You can have that seat he is leaving." He pointed to the one opposite of himself.
"Are you here alone?" He was of course there alone, but he tried to make it out he wasn't and that he was cool not a total loser. "My brothers can be annoying so sorry if they bug you." His real brothers were annoying so that wasn't a lie, but the pretend ones eating ice cream right now weren't going to say a word.
"So what is your name? I mean your a puff, right? I've seen you in classes."

Aslan blinked. Her dark eyes hardening as they focused on the pair of fingers suddenly too close to her face for comfort. Head tilting slightly, Aslan half turned to inspect the owner of the fingers.
Naturally, it was a boy.
".... was that rhetorical or literal?" She asked simply, her tone empty of feeling. The boy was vaguely familiar in the way most of her classmates were to her. Yes, he seemed quite like a Hogwarts boy with his snapping figures and the possibly insulting words. Uncurling the menu she'd accidentally made a mess of, Aslan tucked it into her back pocket while she waited for the boy's reply.

Colt couldn't help it but he was observing her actions and mannerisms. He does it to everyone. She seemed like she was one of those spoiled brats. She didn't care about anyone but herself. Once he snapped his fingers, it took her enough time to notice. She inspected her fingers? Who was she? Like miss drama queen or something? He couldn't help it but he rolled his eyes back at her. He chuckled at her question. She wasn't serious? "Well judging by how you acted let's go with literal. Someone is lost in their head.." Now that he could see clearly. He saw her putting the menu into her pocket. He gave her a "what in the name of merlin are you doing?" look.

Was that a challenge? Lux wanted to think that was a challenge.
She smirked at her best friend. "Do you want to make that interesting? Put Chocolate Frogs on it?" Okay, she wasn't REALLY being serious there, but it was nice to pretend. This was how their friendship worked and even if other people didn't necessarily understand it, at least THEY did. "You are far from innocent Aditya Rehman. You are also wrong about orange being the best colour. You lose and owe me a Chocolate Frog." MWAHAHA.
Snort.
He had known what she meant. It was just all a surprise! "I'm really happy for you guys, you know. I think that it's about time you two tied the knot!" Honestly she hadn't been sure which one of them would pop the question, but her money had been more on Adi than Benny. "Of course I will help! Don't be silly." She was bouncing up and down in excitement.
Life after Hogwarts. What was it like? Well, honestly it felt just the same, except that Hugo didn't had to worry about exams, homeworks or any related school stuff, which was awesome. He wondered who was gonna be the new Slytherin prefect.
With all this thoughts on his mind, Hugo was halfway through his ice cream and holding Cornelius' with his other hand while waiting for the Slytherin to show up and he didn't had to wait much 'cause soon enough Cornelius was there. Hugo got up -ice cream cones in both hands- and turned around grinning, "Cornelius!" and gave him a hug. A bro hug, yeah. "Take this one, it's yours. You like chocolate, right?" If not, well, they had a problem.
Cornelius was growing up fast that Hugo noticed some puberty signs on his face. "What's up with the spots?" said with a small laugh. Tough days, tough days.

Alex slid into a seat outside in the courtyard. She tucked her white blonde hair behind her ear and placed a hand briefly on her stomach. A warm smile crossed her face as she thought of everything going on with her.
Not only was Lily going to Hogwarts for the first time, but she had a new job in the ministry and.. Board of Governors.
The half Veela chuckled softly to herself and eye eyes scanned briefly over the menu.. smiling as she saw Jordan's favorite flavor.. Seaweed.. as much as she loved the man, that was still so odd..
She tapped her red heeled shoe on the cobblestones as she waited for her twin to show up.. One of these days they were going to have to do a full family reunion..
