Who wants to walk around eating ice cream when you can sit inside a nice, comfortable, temperature-controlled building to do it? The tables scattered throughout the interior, with their matching soft blue leather chairs, can be moved together or apart depending upon the size of your party. The blue leather booths that line the wall, while traditionally sized for seating four, are capable of magically extending themselves a bit more to accommodate up to eight should you have a large group. Have a seat, enjoy your ice cream and friends, and while the surfaces in the shop are charmed to resist staining, please do make sure to clean up any messes you might make before they set in! A napkin dispenser can be found at every table, along with a small wooden stand bearing spare plastic spoons and a bunch of small, prepackaged wet-wipes to help clean up those sticky hands.

Her eyes moved to the door as he said about where he lived, not that she would see it from their seat, but habits when one talked about places. "That is convenient. My flat is a little further, I usually just floo over or apparate." Both worked nicely and after living her entire life in the muggle world she enjoyed living around more wizards.
"You wouldn't believe the number of families that come through during the summer. People traveling stop by, families with season passes, there are camps we hold, so much is going on. You really should bring Cami over to see the exhibits soon." She would be truly busy starting in the next week or so, "Luckily we do have interns that will be starting so that helps with the crowd control a bit. They are very excited to talk to families and get pulled on by small children." Not that she didn't love children, but put in a ten hour day and she was happy she lived alone.
Now she was really laughing as he questioned her. "Animals would eat almost anything you gave them, you have to be the sensible one to keep their diets correct. Though I have given them the occasional treat of ice cream before, especially if they are at my house for an injury." She did spoil her creatures.
Rooney was pretty tired out already this summer, what with his Ministry internship, moving into his student house and planning every possible wonderful date that he could. But as soon as Kitty had invited him out to meet, he knew it was one of those times he would eventually regret turning down and so Roo had agreed. Kitty didn't need to know how hard he was working in the run up to starting his WADA education. She would one day know it for herself if she so chose to go to university.
Moments after Kitty arrived, for Rooney was always early, the former Ravenclaw picked his friend up into a hug and gave her a good squeeze. "Miss Kitty!"
And Rooney was early! Should have expected that - he was always so prompt back at Hogwarts. Beaming, she hugged him back as he lifted her out of her chair. "Rooney! I'm so glad you could come."
As they moved to sit down, she glanced sideways at the menu and said, "Is there anything you'd like to have?" She'd pay for it, of course, she wouldn't dream of making her friend pay after inviting him somewhere.
"Soooo how is the Ministry internship?" she asked as they settled down. "Is it fun?" And she knew he was going to be entering WADA soon, which must mean he was pretty busy.
"I have something to show you," she said, and she carefully took her Head Girl badge out of her new purse and geld it out to him.
There was a time for shopping-Long, very exhausting shopping- and there was a time for some sweet and very cold treat. She could have stopped at the moment, but there was also a new appointment to take from now on: to visit her mother and her new baby sister.
Luci looked in the bag of presents she had for both while she ate from the huge chocochip ice cream scoop. Also, she took a glance through the window glass, towards the other shops.
Sigh. Still so much to do.
Steph managed to get ice cream all on her own and escape her dad's eyes for once. He loved to hover around her; scared she'd get lost or hurt in an instant. But Steph could manage herself just fine for the most part. She wasn't off doing dangerous things and mainly ran off to a different part of the shop they were currently in. Her dad always said she got her curiosity from her mum.
Taking her ice cream, the little redhead didn't notice the swarm of people that had just come in. She was bumped into one of the booths and screamed when her ice cream almost fell.

"How's the internship going?" he asked, once he had the scoops under control.

Teddy nodded, licking his ice cream, listening to Ava talk about her internship. He hadn't seen much of her over summer, they were both pretty busy, but here they were, seventeen, finally able to catch up. Teddy raised an eyebrow, he was definitely glad there wasn't any danger (yet). "What stuff do you get to do?" He wasn't overly aspiring for a Wizarding job, and so he hadn't looked much into the various wizarding careers.
"Hmm, study, looking through the curriculum for my subjects." Teddy didn't want to be unprepared! "And still doing my internship at Zhenya's work." No healing or caring or... dirty jobs. He was working within the finance team, working close with an accountant. "It's good, I think I might look into accounting." He did really want to have his own book shop one day, but he had to save.

"Mostly paperwork." Lots and lots of paperwork. But thankfully the people at MLE were very nice and helpful. They didn't really mind having them as the interns and observed how things were done in MLE, especially that she's interning under the auror division. The only thing that made her dislike the internship was the fact that Noelle wasn't placed in auror division like her and the department head put her in MLES instead. They should've stuck together, you know? Ah well, hopefully both Ava and the Gryffindor prefect could join the YATI program once they've graduated. "I'll have whatever you're having, Kits." He didn't have an immediate choice when it came to ice cream, especially when he was somewhere with plans with someone else. Rooney lay his jacket over the back of the chair he had just sat down on and smiled fondly across the table at the other Ravenclaw.
"It's great! I really enjoy it. Busy busy busy. But good busy! How's your summer? Are you ready for seventh year? Do you need my NEWT exam notes?" Because he wouldn't mind making her a copy of his, seeing as she'd covered a few of his patrols when he had exhausted himself by studying. HOWEVER, he didn't even have time to think about it because....well... she was showing him the pair to the badge he was delivered this time a year ago.

Teddy smiled when Ava explained what she was doing. Paperwork. Well, Teddy didn't mind paperwork. In fact, it was something he found very enjoyable. But he and Ava had differences, and he was certain that his idea of fun with paperwork was much different than her. He pictured her running around with the Aurors and YETIs, capturing the bad guys, putting herself out there, with big risk. Things Teddy wasn't interested in.
"Nooo," he said, horrified at the thought of doing... any of that. Especially things that Zhenya did. A shudder went through his spine. "I only get to see her in the mornings and at lunch, depending on her shifts." Seeing as she was now a qualified healer, albeit Junior, and working on the maternity ward, he didn't work close with her. "I do a lot of paperwork too, lots of help with balancing the finances of the hospital and making sure the areas stick to their budgets." Not that he had any control over what happened to the budget, but it was interesting to see how the money was divvied up.

The first thing Hadleigh did upon entering Florean's from the cold chill outside was look around. She stepped further into the ice cream shop loosening her scarf that hung around her neck and adjusting her hold on the car seat she was carrying. It had been a little while since coming into this place, what with the birth of her daughter and all especially now during the winter months.
However she was here today to meet up with Esme. Not seeing the other girl anywhere though, Hady made her way for one of the booths towards the back of the shop away from the door. She set the car seat down sideways so that it sat nicely on the bench and wouldn't rock at all with the table being there. Slipping onto the bench she removed her own hat and coat setting them beside her. While she waited on her friend she removed the fluffy blanket she had covering Nova so the little girl wouldn't get to warm.

Even though Floreans wasn’t as busy this time of year what with it being winter, there were still plenty of customers and a lot of work for Esme to do. This was perfectly fine since it was preferable to be busy opposed to spending the work day doing nothing. And now her shift was done, which meant that she could spend some time with Hady, who should be arriving at any moment.
...And there she was!
”Hey, Hady!” Grinning, she headed over to give the older woman a hug. ”How are you? How is Nova?” The baby girl certainly looked to be happy and healthy. Still grinning, she bent over to give some love. What an adorable little one she was.

"I'm doing wonderful. Back at university and at work though only part time right now." Spending as much time with Nova was important and if her job and school wasn't so important to all their futures she might very well not have gone back at all.
There was nothing but true happiness and a smile on her face as she watched her friend give her daughter some attention and love. "Really really well. She's just a hair smaller than some babies her age but she's still young yet so how's to say how she'll be in a few years time. The Healer says she's right on track though for everything else." So all in all the little Princess was absolutely perfect in every way.

"It's really hard not being with her while I attend lessons but it's for the best. She's always left in the most capable of hands if Frankie has to be at work." Nova had a very large group of people that loved her dearly and spoiled her like she was the only child to have ever been born. From aunts and uncles to grandparents and cousins and that wasn't even including really close family friends and the baby's godparents. "It's actually going very well. A few of the professors were very understanding and allowed me to keep up with the lessons through owls and such so I'm not very far behind. Hady was pretty sure this was how most parents felt when they had to leave their child to got to work or whatever it was they were doing. It was never easy but it helped knowing that Nova was very well looked after while she wasn't there. "That would be wonderful if you really wanted to do that." Another person looking after the baby was always nice to have and it would allow Nova to grow up very social with all the people she was around now. "Catching up when you fall behind is never easy but it's always rewarding once accomplished." It might have taken her awhile but she had been able to catch-up again and get herself right back on track.
"Not at all. I'm used to being shorter than most." Hady definitely looked up to Frankie and everyone else in her family was taller than her. They made it work though and Nova was her own person so who was to really know for sure how tall she would end up someday. "Definitely. Let's get some ice cream!"

Oh, awesome! Hady was going to let her spend some time with Nova babysitting if that was ever needed. That was so awesome and Esme couldn't help but beam. Even though she wasn't the most experienced with babies, she DID know some things and had spent some time with Nova. It was just nice knowing that her friend could go to her for this kind of help when needed and the main people that she would ask weren't able to take care of the baby. "I most certainly would love to. I have no problem coming to your place if need be." Just as long as it wasn't when she was at school or working at her internship, but that really shouldn't be a problem. "It is! Especially when you get to reward yourself for getting things done." For her a lot of that came down to food, but sometimes she DID treat herself with other things.

Esme wasn’t sure she wanted to think about babysitting for a child who could get around on their own - at least not at this stage when she didn’t have much experience with such a thing. There weren’t exactly a lot of babies in her life or anything. Well, she HAD spent some time with Nova and they were somewhat familiar with each other at that point; always a plus in her book. "Wonderful. And when she is a bit older she can have so much fun playing games with Aunt Esme." Hehe. Yes, she was one of the cute baby's aunts because it was so fitting. Hopefully Hady didn't mind, but it would be perfectly fine if she DID. No harm would be done because Esme wasn't the kind of person to take things personally. At least not usually. Of course there were exceptions. "That's very true! I can't wait to have my business up and running." It was going to be amazing and there would be so many magical horses everywhere. Finally she would have the unicorns that she had been asking her dad for since she was a little girl.
Beaming Esme took a seat and started digging into her own ice cream. "Of course. Never mess with a good thing, I say." Though there was nothing wrong with adding toppings, like she had done. "You can come here for ice cream any time you want." Then they could spend time together... so long as it wasn't when Esme was working, obviously. OOOOH. Auntie Esme seemed to be okay and it had Esme BEAMING because this was the first time she'd ever been called an aunt. Obviously Juno wouldn't be having children just yet and there was no knowing what would happen with River because he wasn't exactly the settling down type; of course he might surprise them all. She herself hadn't seen herself with anyone, and look at her now living with Olly. "Good! Part of that might be me spoiling her with stuff." That was kind of teasing but also kind of true because she WOULD get Nova stuff at least somewhat and there WOULD be other people spoiling her even more, like her grandparents and other relatives probably. But Esme would be getting the girl loads of stuffed animals and toys too. [b]"Well, it will be just like horse therapy like the muggles do, but instead with unicorns and winged horses. I was just going to do unicorns initially, but then I remembered that they don't really trust men and that could be a huge issue. Winged horses were better for male clients because they didn't have any inborn distrust. "I could have opted to use normal horses, but magical ones are more fun and I've wanted a unicorn since I was little and my dad always said no." So all the horses they kept in France were the muggle kind but she was not complaining because she loved them.
Strawberry ice cream WAS timeless, but then so was most flavours. "It's so good. Is it your favourite? I don't know if I have one particular kind I like most." Well, Esme knew that any without chocolate were good, which kind of ruled out a lot of them but wasn't a big deal. "I think Nova will love coming here in the summer! And I can always serve you guys. Though of course my internship won't be running forever." Soon enough she would need to leave because she would be too old for this. It made her sad, but she understood. "Oh, I would love to go there again! You're still having a blast there, right? I am so jealous that you have a job there." And she wanted to hear all about the latest happenings at the zoo.
