Zoe's Poetry Nook - Sa13+ Hello everyone. Welcome to my poetry thread! My name is Zoe and I have already been making poems about Harry Potter characters and some in a few of the Fan Clubs here on SnitchSeeker. So, I've finally gotten around to making my own poetry thread. So, here it is! I will take character requests from you members. If you'd like me to write up a poem or two on a specific Harry Potter character, feel free to PM me and I'll see what I can do. Well, I covered what I wanted to cover. Enjoy! u]Moon In Her Eyes[/u][/b] She's the girl that they mock She might give you a shock You might want to laugh as she passes you by I'm in love with the girl with the moon in her eyes She's kind of an outcast And she's got a strange past You'll find her outside with her face to the sky I'm in love with the girl with the moon in her eyes Some people say that she's not too sane They haven't seen that she's not to blame She’s been through so much that it makes me cry I'm in love with the girl with the moon in her eyes While others laugh and tease You will notice me with ease I'm the one staring with a frown and a sigh I'm in love with the girl with the moon in her eyes One day, I'll ask the question One day, without suggestion I'll hope and I'll wish and I tell her why I'm in love with her, the girl with the moon in her eyes |
Nice!!! You made a thread!!!! Go Zoe :woot: I love it! Luna? hehehe |
Hi Lari! Yes, it is Luna. Well, ... what Neville thinks of Luna. :xd: More poetry coming soon! :) |
:woot: :woot: Loves this thread already! :xd: |
I Solemnly Swear I solemnly swear I am up to no good. That I will make mischief. That I will plan pranks. I solemnly swear I am up to no good. That I will play pranks. That I will get into trouble. I solemnly swear I am up to no good. That I will be the best. That I will not settle for less. I solemnly swear I am up to no good. That I, Fred Weasley, Will uphold this law. I solemnly swear I am up to no good. That I, George Weasley, Will uphold this law. We so solemnly swear we are up to no good! Oh and that we will make Flitch mad every chance we get. We so solemnly swear we are up to no good! |
*grins* *dies laughing* that was so funny! :xd: the Twins  lol they're cool! |
Yes, the twins! :D I just had to write something up for them! :xd: Another poem that I made just a few hours ago: The Knight in Blue The knight in blue Crinkles cradled his smiles Noble and true His face beaten by a tempest of trials Yet life filled his frail body to the brim Emanating light to others So blind, so hateful, so hopeless, so grim They couldn’t see friends, enemies, lovers, nor brothers Suddenly he would ignite the torch A candle of wisdom for those who would simply grasp it Or a blaze of fury for those who would underestimate its scorch He kept the signal fire lit That could never quite clear the haze But always the goal shown bright He kept the world going with a simple phrase A spout of truth that could settle any plight He was a sky with two half moons We thought him master of the tide So, we never expected the monsoons That swept him aside He was a knight that kept everyone believing And beneath the shiny blue armor, we forgot A human stood breathing And we should remember what he’s taught: Always we’ll have to choose between what is easy and what is right For it is our choices that show what we truly are Alone we cannot win the struggle of life’s fight Because only united can we go far Truth is a beautiful and terrible thing, And should therefore be treated with great care Only with acceptance and understanding can truth be freeing Only with a broad perspective can we do what’s fair Remember, death is but the next great adventure Let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress For the knight who was worth every lecture And always remember that the dead we loved never truly leave us |
 Dumbledore!!!! *sniffs* that was sooooooo good!!! |
Thanks Lari. Next poem! :) You're All Alone I cannot be alone in here This barn, it holds all of my fears The sun will turn its back on me The moon; It shines. How bright it be The days grow long, The nights grow cold I have no one in here to hold Each month is harder, Each month I pray: Next month nothing! Next month I'm saved! But my dreams and hopes are all in vein But maybe there'll be someone on they way A friend perhaps! To stop me moan! And I will not look on this night and groan! "Oh Remus, you fool," I'll say with a tone "Remember this well: You're all alone.'' |
Nice! a Tonksy poem!!!!! :D :D :D :D I luf it!!! Your Obi-Wan K'Lari! :rotfl: |
Well, it's a Remus poem. Remus is talking too himself saying that he's alone because of his 'furry little problem'. The Toad and Me I sit before the toad-like squirt, Holding her vicious quill. I wish I could wipe off the smirk, But I fight against my will. On and on, I write the words, I must not tell lies. A growing rage swirls in me; A fire burns in my eyes. The toad looks at me with eyes so gleeful, Sneering at my task. I keep my gaze down, seemingly calm, My face is an unreadable mask. On and on, on and on, I write, ignoring the pain. I know I have to do this job, My anger is in vain. Blood drops down my wrist, The parchment is stained. If I have to keep this on, 'Tis my pride that will be pained. At the close of the hour, the toad looks up And summons me to her desk. I obey; I cringe for that, I know it is a test. My wounds give her pleasure, my latent anger glee; She looks at my hand, and tells me to leave. I obey again; I cringe for that, But one day, I swear, I'll take revenge on that rat. |
youre reallr really good keep writing such wonderful poems |
^ I sure will! I'm glad that you like my poems. :) Unfogging the Mysteries I gaze at the future and what I see Are foggy mysteries that reveal themselves to me. Struggle and suffering, Hex against spell. A war is coming And good and evil will duel. Dark Times grow near. They haunt me in my dreams. Will courage overcome fear? My head is filled with the screams. Now I know what will occur. Who will win and who will fall. One will bring an end to the war And will unite us all. So come and take a look, clear your mind. My crystal ball is here, don't be scared, Leave your scepticism behind And a new world will be unfolded. |
you're a great poet :) keep it going :P Professor Trelawney is the last one, correct? (I've never been great with... well I'm never good at understanding some poetry, but I love reading it! :D) |
^ Thanks! Yep! It was Professor Trelawney. ;) I'm working on a poem right now! I'll post it sometime later today. :D |
:poke: you write too fast! :xd: sorry! anyway my vagueness will poke you all it wants but you have to know I love the poems!!!!!!!!!! :P |
^ Me write too fast? Nah! I just like writing poems a lot of the time. :D Glad you love 'em! She Likes Me As we change for our first match, I glance at her from across the tent. She's starring back, With much content. My heart beats just a little faster, Can anyone else hear this? My thoughts of love, And a hopeful kiss. It is time now for the match. As I grow nervous and anxious, She is calm, Totally unconscious. Of the way I feel towards her, How I want to hold her in my arms, Everything right, Nothing to harm. Out on the field we stand ready, The whistle blows and we're in the air, Spreading out, With care. She scores once, and then again, Katie is forever my girl, A shot on me, Around I wirl. I almost let the ball in the hoop, How detrimental that would be, For my dear Katie, To have to see. "Nice save Wood!" she yells to me. A rush of joy overwhelms me, She likes me. She likes me. |
Oh cool! I never thought that Oliver might like Katie! I just thought he was in love with quidditch! I love it! You can rhyme and still the poems very adult! (as in doesn't sound childish) It's my problem with rhyming *sigh* anyway you don't have that problem and I loved it! |

I loved it! :D can't wait for the next poem! |
^, ^^ Thanks you two. I'm sorta of an Oliver/Katie shipper so, yeah! Black Inside My Heart When the night comes it is all black; Black like the shadows of fear on a tormented heart, Black like shattered dreams and souls ripped apart. I feel the lack ... The lack of bright light In the middle of the cold night. And I fear the darkness outside. I fear the unknown Beyond the depths of that dark pitch black; That black from which I hide, Although deep down inside I know that those blurry shapes I see Couldn't ever harm me. Yet I fear the nothingness hidden in the dim; The cold, the dark void within My veins and my soul, Whenever the sun goes down And dusk takes over the world. I fear black and what it means to me ... The grief inside an empty heart In lack of joy and glee. A cold heart, dark and vain. The mysteries behind an anguished soul Drenched in havoc and pain. The chaos inside a maimed mind Hollow, in wreckage and insane. And I fear to feel that way, To have my dreams shattered one day. I fear to feel empty inside, To let myself go with the tide. I fear to have my soul ripped apart ... I fear to feel black ... inside my heart. |
:faint: I loved that so hard! but I did :P |
^ I'm glad that you liked it! :) We All Must Sacrifice To Grow A soul shredder surely, as am I. I see it in his eyes ... As bright as silver the glow within the iris, And the mouth that so easily lies ... He does not feel the chill I think, I see myself in a different light by his side, I am muted, diluted, shadowed, Found lacking from what I am lacking, And that I despise ... I am ashamed to be so weak where he is so strong. Am I not strong? I feel I am, but my will, My esteem still so fragile, my spirit so often killed, Is kneeling down in his shadow, Quietly wrapping myself in his favor, Cursing at the path that I can never cross to reach him, To match him, How I wish he stood where I now stand, In command, and still stretched so thin, Does he envy me as I envy him? I am the leader, I move, they follow, And despite my success I sometimes feel ... hollow. So pointless and wasted the battle I fight, I would rather wage war within, And kill this blood that shouldn't stand in his light, Kill the doubt, the weakness, and the fear. I will never say it, but his support is so much of what has kept me here. The pure submitting to my command, my power, my venoms touch ... And he, the jewel in my crown, Who has unknowingly given so much. But I see his weakness too, and it is as great as mine. His blood would have promised better, but it was not in his design. He was built to follow, and I to lead. It is a humorless joke that nature has played, but it allowed me to succeed. I cannot question that I know this, or if I do then how, It is because he stands where he satnds, and not where I stand now. Come my serpents, Come my fools and favored, Come my independent and my weak, my old and strong or fresh and young. Come my lost. And with my war be found, Come my hopeless. And seek comfort in the moment and the spell. Peace is not the healer of the soul, It is in the heat of war that we are finally made whole. And ours is a hate that no water can dash, and no passivity quell. And come my Lucius, my silver serpent, Just for a little longer let me bask in your effortless glow. For in time I will destroy you, as I break all I admire. You will be my greatest sacrifice. And we all must sacrifice to grow. |
:gasp: :gasp: :gasp: :faint: *appaudes* WOOOOOOOOOW! That was sooooooooo AWESOME! Who is it....is it Narcissia *sp* ? |
*Cough* Voldemort! *Cough* Her Broken Heart It was only a phantom, the ghost in her dreams; a light shining through the darkest of blacks. His face glowed like a beacon of hope; a lone star in the night sky. His hand blackened no longer, now a shining silver wisp, reached out for her with want and desire. His lips the same perfect shape as before forming that smile as bright as the sun. His wardrobe still eccentric with all the purples and reds and the silvery stars dancing on end. But most importantly are his eyes, with that sparkling glimmer of mischief and intelligence that can match no other. His blue irises brighter then the sky; With a twinkling blink he had my heart in a bind. But something was wrong with his brilliant eyes. A spark was missing a connection lost, and the last thing she saw was the love dying and gone. She awoke with a start bolting upright so quick; sweat drenched her body her clothes and the bed. Her surroundings focused her memory came back, and a slow tear trickled down her pale porcelain face. That's how the dream always went, waking with a start, realizing the phantom was her broken heart. |
:worship:  :worship: :gasp: That was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo awesome!!!!!!!!!! :D MacGongall? :hmm: |
