I have been troubled by stifled, cold screams.

Eyes filled with fear and hopeless dreams.

These frightful expressions,

Belonging only to me.

This, my friends, is why I weep.

I sit, blending with the silent night.

Waiting for the impossible.

Praying.

My mind is empty.

All thought has left.

Now, I sit alone.

I hear screams

I see them by the thousands through my tears

I say my silent prayer.

I cry out for our victory.

I am smiling as they are dying.

I am strong

I want to help them.

I need to escape.

I hope that God has heard my plea.

I fear the time has come.

I am strong as I crumble.

I am fading.

I feel betrayed.
