erm... ok i'm Wendy (though i like to be called Wendyfer) and this fic is mostly Harry and Ginny with a bit of Ron and Hermione. My fave ships... *sigh* I don't own any of the characters except for Alison Edwards, who I made up. The rest of the characters belong to the lovely JK Rowling! This is my first fanfic so do be nice! It starts off a bit slow but moves faster as it goes along. I've kinda already written some of it so I will be posting regularly! erm... I think thats all I have to say except please comment if you like it!

~*You Belong To Me*~

Chapter 1: Life Changing Letters.

Ginny was sat at her window in Grimmauld Place, tears stinging in her eyes from hours of silent grief. One moment her life had been perfect down to the last minute, then one letter had turned every emotion in her body around completely. This year she would start her fifth year at Hogwarts and she had nothing to look forward to. The letter she had received lay on Ginny’s bed. It read:

Ginny

I know we haven’t been together very long but I don’t think this is going to work. I know you still love him, I can see it in your eyes. You know of whom I speak. I can’t cope with a relationship so full of secrets and jealousy.

Dean.

At first Dean’s firm letter had brought tears to her eyes, but the tears stopped in realisation when a second letter fell gracefully into her hand, after removing it from a snow white owl. She opened the letter with trembling fingers. Trembling with fear and excitement. Cautiously she slipped the letter out and began to read.

Ginny

I know I wouldn’t usually write to you but I’m so lonely hear with my lemon of a cousin and wish for as many correspondents as possible. I haven’t actually written to Ron or Hermione yet but I felt like writing to someone different for once! Has Ron had the courage to ask Hermione out yet? It’s so obvious he likes her! What do you think? I better go, Dinky Diddidums has smashed another play station by the sounds of it and of course, it will all be my fault! See you in a few weeks (I hope)

Harry

Ginny couldn’t help but smile, he hadn’t written to Ron or Hermione, and he hoped to see her soon! Then her heart sank. She was getting too hopeful again. He could never love a simple, boring girl like her. She pushed her fading dream aside as usual and decided to reply. But what would she write?

Harry

Nice to hear from you! Is Dinky Diddidums ok? I wouldn’t want him getting upset! I’m afraid Ron still hasn’t made a move on Hermione, but he spends most meal times staring at her. I personally think if he doesn’t hurry up someone else will ask her. Are those muggles treating you ok? I know you always get asked that question but… Ok I haven’t got an excuse. Mum’s going mad with worry, I think she’ll send someone after you soon enough. See you later and thanks for writing (I get lonely here too).

Ginny

Hedwig spread her magnificent wings and soared high out of Ginny’s window, dissolving slowly in the navy black horizon. Ginny was amazed at how easy it was to write to Harry.

By the way, this is set in Harry's sixth year coz i didn't want them to have been together yet... which means he hasn't exprienced side-along apparation, he's only just found out about the prophecy and Sirius has only just died. I don't focus much on that stuff though!

Looking forward to more H/G letters...letters are wonderful! My favourite romance fics include letters in them somewhere...I think it's essential. *grins*

As the following morning approached Mrs Weasley’s voice moved slowly through the house as she called for breakfast. She sounded dangerously tired.
“Why the er… er… eeeeeeeeaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrly start mum?” Ginny inquired, failing to stifle a yawn.

Ron, Hermione and the twins came down to join Ginny and the Order shortly looking extremely annoyed. When everyone had settled Ron asked the same question he asked every morning,
“Mum when is someone gonna pick up Harry?”
“FOR THE LAST TIME RONALD WEASLEY HE IS COMING TOMORROW! YOU HAVE ASKED THAT QUESTION CONSTANTLY FOR THE LAST WEEK AND THE ANSWER IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE! WILL YOU PLEASE SHUT UP!”
Ginny felt no sympathy at all for her brother; he should no better to than to inquire constantly over the same thing when her mother is tired. She didn’t feel much at all at the moment, not since she had been stuck in Grimmauld Place with no company her age. Harry’s letters had lifted her spirits higher but not enough to hide the dreaded realisation that he would never love her.

The usual cleaning tasks had been given out and Ginny had spent all day clearing out boxes in the attic. She had found severed hands, blackmailing letters and jars of deep red blood. When the room was clean she thought she’d seen everything that was possible. Unexpectedly at 5.30 pm Hedwig came soaring in the bathroom window while she was getting out the bath. She startled and tripped over her towels landing in a heap on the floor. Hedwig continued to watch as she untangled herself from the mass of towels turning redder with every second. It felt like Hedwig was watching and judging her.
“Stupid towels why were they invented anyway…” She muttered while untying her letter.

Ginny

“The muggles” are treating me better than usual actually for some reason. I think they’re getting more and more scared of me. Dudley broke his playstation though and it was all my fault. They refused to tell me why so I doubt there is a reason, but they don’t want Dudley to have a bad reputation so… Personally I don’t think his “reputation” can be any worse. Tell Ron to hurry up and make a move on Hermione. I think your right, Someone else will probably ask her, and then Ron will be deathly jealous again. See you soon,

I’m not supposed to tell you this coz it’s a surprise but… once again no excuse. Your getting picked up tomorrow by Tonks, Lupin and some other Order members. When they arrive act surprised coz your not supposed to know! I’ll see you tomorrow, Ginny

thanks for the comments! tis very nice precious... yes precious... very nice... anyway, i kno i've already posted today but I'm reeeeeeaaaaaaaalllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy bored so I thought another post would keep me occupied for a bit... so heres posty number 3, a day early.

Chapter 2: Arrival.

Harry lay on his bed in his room and as usual his thoughts wandered to Ginny Weasley. No matter how much he tried to deny it, he knew he was slowly but surely falling in love with her. Her fiery red hair, her smooth pale skin… He continued daydreaming about her stunning features until:
“Dammit you’re doing it again!” He thought. He couldn’t help but admit that little voice in the back of his head made a lot of sense sometimes. It was nine o’clock in the morning when Hedwig zoomed gracefully in through the window dropping a letter on his lap. His heart jumped as he realised it was another reply from Ginny. His spirits soared, apparently he was being taken to Grimmauld Place tomorrow!

Later on in the day Harry had been locked in his room again for tempting Dudley with his food while he was on a diet. He turned around and saw a brown owl waiting on his windowsill looking very impatient. A letter was lying next to the owl who was obviously expecting him to reply to the owner.

Harry

I’m so sorry about my attitude towards you last year I shouldn’t have been so stupid. I’m willing to give it another chance and forget about Cedric. I hope you give me that chance. Love,

Harry read the letter and scowled. Cedric’s name was written in shaky squiggly handwriting and the letter was stained with tears. She’d obviously had trouble just writing Cedric’s name. Why would he want to give another chance to the human hosepipe?
“I haven’t got a reply for you!” He snapped at the brown owl. She ruffled her feathers showing she was offended and took off into the sunset.

Back in Grimmauld Place Ginny was explaining her brake up with Dean as Ron and Hermione had been bombarding her with questions about her depression.
“THAT EVIL G*T!” Ron bellowed fuming at the letter Ginny had received from Dean.
“Ron calm down honest…” But Hermione’s complaint was drowned by a sudden outburst from Mrs Weasley
“RONALD WEASLEY STOP SHOUTING YOU’RE DEAFENING EVERYBODY! Hem…” Mrs Weasley was then interrupted by Kingsley Shackebolt who brung disappointing news.
“Tonks, Lupin and Moody have been stopped by muggle police and gonna be late picking up Harry. Something about suspicious looking body parts…”
“Oh this is just perfect you three stay here I’ll sort this out… somehow…” said Mrs Weasley as she left.
“God all mum’s done to me is yell today! She is so stressed!” moaned Ron slumping into an armchair.

Harry had been sitting on the windowsill for hours thinking about Ginny. She was all he thought about these days. It was now eleven o’clock at night so he supposed he was being picked up tomorrow. Just as he thought this three people appeared with a loud crack in the middle of his room. Tonks stood looking extremely annoyed in between Lupin and Mad-Eye Moody, Lupin and Tonk’s hair was all over the place wildly messy, all their clothes were singed and Moody had a burnt hand.
“Harry! Lovely to see you!” cried Lupin as he collapsed onto the floor.
“What on earth hap-“ but Harry was interrupted by Tonks who said impatiently
“Got stopped by muggle pol… pol… poleez is it? They found wands, they thought it was something called… firewuks, got taken to station, poleez person set fire to station with wand, Mad-Eye burned, Lupin sprained ankle and a lot of serious memory modification.”
Moody was busy mending Lupin’s ankle and Tonks was surprised to see Harry wasn’t confused about the summary she’d given.
“Well sounds like you three had a lovely trip then, now how are we getting out of here?” said Harry
In answer to his question Tonks grabbed his arm tightly and apparated to Grimmauld Place. Harry had never experienced side-along apparation before and it was one of strangest feelings he’d ever experienced. He felt like he was being squeezed through a giant rubber tube, no way to breath as his eyes were pushed back inside his head. Suddenly the sensation stopped and he was down a dark alley with the three Order members.
“This way Harry everyone’s waiting for you” growled Moody; he still sounded annoyed at the police incident.

thankyou peeps! (that's not peeps in a chavvy way... just a weird way...) *you flatter me* *I am not worthy* yum here be-eth el next posty:

Grimmauld Place appeared in-between number 11 and 13 expanding the whole street. Harry was reminded of Sirius and felt is eyes sting, but no tears fell. Seem as Ginny was all that was on his mind he had almost forgot about Sirius. Once again anger filled his body desperate to avenge Sirius by killing Bellatrix Lestrange. Whenever he thought of her his blood boiled dangerously. His menacing thoughts of revenge were pushed to the back of his head when Mrs Weasley came forward.
“HARRY! Oh my gosh you are so thin! You need food now. Oh my you’ve grown aswell; I don’t what to do these days you kids can’t stop growing! Go and see Ron and Hermione they’re upstairs I’ll have dinner ready as soon as possible ok?”
“Thanks Mrs Weasley, hi Bill, Charlie, Mr Weasley” greeted Harry. After receiving many greetings in return he retreated upstairs to see Ron and Hermione. He was disappointed, as Ginny was nowhere to be seen.

“Harry you’re here!” said Hermione as she gave him a huge hug.
“Hermione… I… can’t… breath…” he stuttered and she let go immediately. Ron was grinning from ear to ear but before he could say anything Ginny walked in looking curious. Harry saw her and smiled looking into her stunning blue eyes. He wanted to kiss her there and then but knew that was a bad idea in front of Ron. Ginny blushed heavily and eventually some words escaped.
“Hey Harry…”
“Hey Gin..ny”
“You can call me Gin everyone does”
“Ok then. You ok?”
“Fine thanks you?”
“Never been better” Harry had forgotten all about Sirius again, all he thought about was Ginny. It was as though she had taken over his mind.
“Hi Harry” said Ron sounding amused yet suspicious.
“Hi Ron how are you?” he replied jokingly.
“Bored of cleaning thanks! Since when have you been on speaking terms with my sister?”

After unpacking his stuff (which had been late as they forgot to take anything when apparating) Harry followed the others downstairs and was greeted enthusiastically and with a cheer by Fred and George.
“Finally someone to talk to who isn’t a prefect!” cried George.
“No forgetting our little Ginevra of course!” teased Fred.
“Don’t call me that Frederic!” Ginny snapped.
Harry laughed and Ginny blushed a brilliant crimson.

After dinner Hermione came over to Harry with a worried look.
“Harry can I talk to you? I have a few… questions…”
“Yeah sure…” She led him into the kitchen.

“Harry does Ron like me? I mean… like me like me…?”
Harry looked her in the eyes to confirm what she just said and laughed
“Harry! What?”
“You didn’t think he liked you? Or liked you liked you whatever!”
“No I didn’t but he’s been staring at me at meal times a lot, I don’t think he knows I’ve seen him staring though…”
“It was obvious! Oh my god I thought you were smart…”
“Was it really? Are you guessing or has he told you?”
“He hasn’t said anything but I can ask him if you like. Do you like him?”
“No! No never!” She began to shake her head wildly with her eyes wide.
“Uh huh”
“Oh fine yes I do like him I have since he sacrificed himself on the giant chessboard and he was so brave and… and…”
“About time you said that Mione, We could all tell really you two argue so much. Think about his reaction to Krum? It’s obvious!”
“Thanks Harry I kinda wanted to let that out… Don’t tell him! Please!”
“Oh come on, would I? I’ll ask him and tell you what he says ok?”
“Thanks Harry it means a lot. So…”
“What?”
“What about you and Ginny?”
He shrugged
“Harry do you like her? Like her like her even?” she smirked.
“Yeah I guess…”
“What you like her like her?” she teased. Harry stared at her.
“Heh I’m only teasing Harry.”
“Yes I do but she’s over me so I’ve no chance.”
“She said she’s over you, but I’m not sure I believe her.”
Harry pondered on this thought all night, but he still wasn’t completely convinced.

Harry woke up at eight am and Ron was lying on the floor looking miserable. Then he remembered he had to ask about Hermione.
“Er Ron?”
“Oh hello yeah?”
“Do you like Hermione?” Ron had started fidgeting with the carpet suspiciously and he was quickly turning red.
“Um yeah course, she’s my friend ain’t she…?”
“Ron, you know what I mean!”
“Well… er… well… um…”
“I’ll take that as a yes then shall I?”
“Yeah… I guess…”
“It was kinda obvious yaknow.”
“Was it? How many people have guessed…?”
“Everyone tomato, you get angry whenever she mentions Krum, you stare at her at meal times, you fidget when she’s mentioned in conversation…”
“Oh… ok…”
“Don’t worry about it, you won’t end up like me and Cho!”
“Ha! That was so funny!” Ron started laughing again as the memories of Harry’s disastrous relationship with Cho Chang came back. The memories made Harry laugh aswell.
“C’mon yets go for some breakfast eh?” said Ron exiting the room.
When he arrived in the kitchen the only remaining space was next to Ginny, he took that place happily and saw Tonks smirk at him.
“Good morning Harry what d’you want? Bacon, eggs, toast, pancakes?” asked Mrs Weasley
“Pancakes thanks.”
He smiled at Ginny, who went pink and smiled back, lost in his emerald eyes. Tonks couldn’t hide her smile any longer as she beamed at them.

that was kinda long... o well byeth de bye xxx

that was such a great post!!! its about time harry admits it! all we need is for ginny to admit it and then they can tell eachother and then they can get together, get married, have kids, the whole thing!!! i just remembered that there is a song called You Belong To Me. it's by my moms fave band : Air Supply. pams pams pams pams pams.

thats weird coz i named the ff after a song called You Belong To Me but that was one by Kate Rusby! who u probably haven't heard of... no one has lol, luvin the avvy n siggy btw!

Chapter 3: About Time To!

“He loves you Mione, it’s a fact now.”
“Harry are you sure?” Harry was talking to Hermione after breakfast while Ron was helping clear up.
“Yes he admitted it, about time to…”
“Oh… what do I do?”
“Ask him out!”
“I can’t do that!”
“Wait for him to ask you out then, why not?”
“Because! Because…”
“Whatever just make sure you to get together honestly!”
“Well guess what Harry, Ginny still loves you it’s obvious!”
“You got proof?”
“No but she wouldn’t stop talking about you last night she wouldn’t shut up about how worried she is about you!”
“Oh, well…”
“C’mon yets go find everyone…”

“Ok kids listen up, we’re gonna carry on with the cleaning today so we’re doing the living room at last.” Mrs Weasley explained. “We’ll go now so you can get on with it, I’ve got a report to finish for Dumbledore so… we’ll see you later bye!” Mrs Weasley left and there was an awkward silence, which was broken unexpectedly by Ron, who had been especially quiet this morning.
“Hermione, can I… er… talk to you?” He sounded very nervous.
“Yes… um… all right…” replied Hermione. Hermione left with Ron biting her bottom lip leaving Harry alone with Ginny.

Ginny felt pressured. She was left alone with Harry and was completely speechless. Thankfully Harry spoke first.
“I can’t believe we’re still cleaning this house!” He said picking up a cloth and dusting the surfaces.”
“I know it’s stupid, why can’t the house just… clean itself!” she replied.
“Ha! Yeah that would be better.”
Ginny couldn’t help but laugh; it was music to Harry’s ears. She felt so happy talking with Harry, he was so… perfect. Then silence fell again and Ginny saw Harry looking at her.
“What?” she asked
“Do I need an excuse to look at you?” He had moved closer.
“No I suppose not…”
“When you look like that who can resist?” He had been staring into space but then his eyes widened as he realised what he’d just said.
Ginny nearly screamed with pleasure, he said she was pretty! Ish… She blushed heavily and Harry laughed again. They were much closer now…
“What are you doing Mr Potter?” she asked playfully, feeling more confident.
“I have no idea…” She blushed and laughed again. His emphasis on the word no indicated he knew exactly what he was doing.
“Oh really” she replied feeling yet more confident. His eyes sparkled and shone like emeralds as he moved closer still…

hee hee i shoved them together kinda quickly ish... you will see... oh yes u will see... i dunno wot i'm on about there...

The door burst open and Tonks charged in, oblivious to what she had interrupted she said
“Harry, Ginny Hermione’s fainted!”
“What?” they said in unison.
“Ron came running at me and said she’s fainted that’s all I know. Molly’s in there with her now so’s Ron…” Harry left the room and Ginny followed still in shock. Harry had been so close to kissing her when Tonks had charged in saying Hermione had fainted. So close, a matter of centimetres… She entered the storage room where Hermione was lying, feeling hopeless. Ron was very pale and stared at her constantly, as though he thought staring at her would wake her up. Suddenly Hermione sat bolt upright. Everyone had been watching her silently so startled at the sudden movement. Her eyes searched the room until they found Ron. Her eyes widened and she slapped him hard across the cheek.
“RONALD WEASLEY I HAVE WAITED FOUR YEARS FOR YOU TO SAY THAT!” Without any hesitation she grabbed his face as kissed him passionately, ignoring the laughs and glares they were getting. Tonks beamed at them and led everybody out of the room.

As soon as the door closed behind them Harry yelled
“YES!” He then slid down the banisters followed by Ginny, Fred and George.
“What?” said Ginny.
“It was so obvious they liked eachother!”
“I know honestly…” said Fred.
“Dinner’s ready so get everyone down.” Announced Mrs Weasley.
“Including the lovebirds?” asked George.
“Yes… well give them a few minutes then tell them…” she replied smiling.

Ron and Hermione came down late for dinner holding hands and blushed as everyone stared at them and laughed. Harry was as usual sitting next to Ginny despite the space next to Fred, making her heart leap and the butterflies in her stomach were having a rock concert.
“Harry are you sure your ok with this?” said Hermione.
“Ok with it? Why wouldn’t I be? I’ve been watching you to argue stupidly for years when you obviously liked eachother!” The new couple blushed again as they each knew they had been waiting years for this.

omg tonks has the worst timing ever!!! harry was about to kiss ginny! i laughed at the part when hermione slapped ron and yelled at him heehee. now all we have to do is wait for harry and ginny to get together and will be uber happy!!! pams pams pams pams pams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah i dunno wat you were on about there either but it reminds me of the part in lotr return of the king when frodo and smeagel were in the spider's lair and smeagel said 'you will see... oh yes you will see...' which, ironically, i was watching at that exact moment. that is 'siriusly' ironic. heehee.
