Um...hello everybody...right now i am a bit busy with my exams coming up so i wont be coming up with a one shot or song fiction yet......
but i will post something as soon as i am done with my exams...

Hello everyone...i am done with my exams at last...yay!...so here is another one shot.This one i had written sometime back but was waiting to just post it sometime and i dont know i felt like posting this one today...it is about my favorite character Ron Weasley...the shy,the funny,the loyal and the most lovable person even with all his little flaws...

HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS...


I stormed out from that place, my face flushed and red with anger. I knew I should return back, I knew I would regret my action later. I knew that I had known what I had signed up for when we began our quest. I knew everything that I should know but still my feet carried me away and my mind still in a complete dismay with anger. I felt as if the locket that I was wearing is still having effect on me. I could still hear her cry out my name, my heart wrenched at the sound of her call but I didn’t return back. I walked ahead and vanished in to the thin air and bumped straight into a group of troll like men. They snatched my wand and I had to fool them round and get away from them. I somehow managed to do that and then walked away thinking where I should head and then I knew I would only be accepted in my elder brother’s house in the Shell Cottage…

Ron turned in his camp bed and looked out of the window at the starry sky his mind going through the events of past few days.

Bill was upset by my actions but let me in his house. I am great full to him but now when I think back I knew I would regret what I did and here I am thinking of my best friends.

Ron sighed and turned around and completely faced the window and looked outside.

It’s been few days and I know you both are safe because if you weren’t I would have known by now.
Wow what a great way to know whether your friends are in trouble or not, just leave them in the middle of it and wait for the news from others, what a best friend I am?

And Ron turned and slept on his stomach and punched the pillow…


I hope you both are fine Harry, Mione. I am sorry, really I am. I miss both of you… and after a lot of tossing and turning around in the bed Ron fell asleep into disturbed dreams…

You left me and him here in the middle of trouble…you are such a selfish person Ronald Weasley! You don’t care for me nor do you care for him!
You don’t love your friends Ronald, never, have you? You have always thought about yourself!
Look where you have put me and Harry into! Harry is such a better person then you, Ronald! And any day Ronald, any day Harry is much more loveable person then you are!
An angry Hermione’s face swarmed in front of his eyes…and Ron woke up immediately…his entire body sweating…he sat up on his bed. He felt miserable, he tried sleeping again but he couldn’t.


The days passed by and it was the night of the Christmas eve. Ron was done with the dinner with Bill and Fleur. He helped his brother and sister-in-law with the dishes and cleaning and went back to his room. He was feeling uncomfortable. He felt as if something wrong would happen soon. He felt uneasy and restless. He laid down on his bed once again waiting for the disturbed sleep to come in. he tossed and turned around in his bed and then after what seemed like well past midnight. He saw yet another dream…

It was Harry this time…hurt and badly injured and talking to a pale faced Ron who had his head bent in the dream…
Why did you leave us Ron? You had known what you signed up for. You had known that I would always tell you if I knew anything. You had known everything that I had known because believe me I never kept you in dark…but yet you left me, left Hermione…and see where it has brought us…I am badly injured and Hermione is trying all her best she can to cure me but you, you aren’t even around to help her ,to help recover her best friend, your best friend, Ron. I have helped you so many times, haven’t I?
Echoed the sad and hurt voice of his best mate and brother like voice of Harry, Ron woke with a start…his face covered with sweat and shameful tears. Ron sat up and leaned against the wall of his room and closed his eyes to calm down and took deep breaths

I am sorry mate, I am sorry, please forgive me Hermione…please… and then…

“Ron...” Ron snapped his eyes and looked for the source of the voice of Mione…he looked every where and then again
“Ron…remember…his wand?” Ron felt his Deluminator as he heard Hermione’s hesitant voice from there. He looked quizzically at the instrument and with awe as he realized the importance of this bequeathed instrument from Dumbledore …at least this showed that they both were fine as they spoke of him. Ron heaved a sigh of relief and waited for Hermione to continue to see what she says

“Remember his wand, back in our 2nd year? And after that incident it wasn’t the same again” and the voice broke and it wasn’t heard again. Ron looked at the instrument for sometime…

Something happened. Something happened to someone’s wand. They are in trouble. I need to find them…and he clicked his deluminator out of habit as he thought a way to get back to his friends and just then a electric blue light bubble of sorts popped out of the deluminator and Ron’s eyes followed it as it made its way to the Shell Cottage gardens…

He stood up and walked to the window looked up at the sky outside the window, his face sad and ashamed… I know what to do Dumbledore, thank you. I think you knew I would need this…he thought. Turning away from the window he quickly packed his stuff and sneaked out of the house quietly not disturbing his brother and his sister-in-law…

As he walked out he found the blue bubble floating and waiting for him in the garden. The minute the blue light went inside him he closed his eyes and he knew he was going back…going back to his home…because home is where the heart is and his heart truly belonged to his best mate and the love of his life…

Harita! This was great! I loved it! You do write with such clarity. I invision the whole story as I'm reading. This little snippet from the book is great. I had sometimes wished JK would have incorporated something like this into her book. But, I know she wanted to keep it all about Harry, and his quest. This was great. I really really realy enjoyed it. I'm glad your exams are over. Leaves you more time for your writing. Yes? I'll be watching for another post, here or your FF.

IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES


It was well past midnight and all that was being heard was scratching of quill against the parchment and a hoot of a distant owl somewhere in the middle of warm summer night. After what seemed like hours the noise stopped and the bespectacled auror laid down his quill and reclined in his chair, his elbows resting on the arm rest, his hands clasped and soberly looking outside the window into the inky blue midnight sky deep in his thoughts…

A gust of warm summer breeze caressed his tired brow bringing him out of his reverie.
Removing his specs he moved forward in his seat and placing the specs next to the parchment he ran his hands through his black hair and massaged his forehead. Looking up his eyes fell on the radio which sat at the corner of the table. Switching it on in the middle of a song Harry Potter reclined back in his chair his eyes now falling on his parchment containing the report about his recent auror expedition which he had to submit to his boss next week.
It was quite some expedition to say the least. There was a time in the middle of his expedition where he felt as if time had turned some 15 years back and his mind was plagued with same fear he had then. Fear of not able to make it back, fear of not telling his friends how thankful he was for their help all his life, fear thinking that he still has lots to give to his kids and fear if he has loved and cared for his wife enough. Fear is good, it makes people humane but fear that plagues the mind it needs to be worked upon. There has to be a solution for it you cant continue to live in fear. And those thoughts plague him even now sitting in the study of Grimmuald Place after his return…


And that was Quit Playing Games from the very famous muggle boy Band of 1990s Backstreet Boys for all my listeners

Harry looked at the radio as the RJ’s voice cut through his thoughts…

So this is it from me on tonight’s edition of ‘Fabulous Friday’s With Muggles’ but I promise to come back next week same time same place with another new collection…

Harry increased the volume a bit sat there waiting for the song to play…

I lie awake and watch her sleeping

A soft smile played on Harry’s lips as his mind wandered back to his room where his dear wife must be in deep sleep already.

And the thought crosses my mind
If I never wake up in the morning
Would she ever doubt the way I feel
About her in my heart

Did I try in every way to show her every day

Harry reclined in his chair deeply listening to the song as each line sung spoke out his inhibitions but at the same time the music so soothing that it made him feel calm…

Who never knew how much I loved them

Harry closed his eyes for a moment and sighed

Now I live with the regret
That my true feelings for them never were revealed

‘how very true…’ he thought shaking his head and opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling above…

So I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much she means to me
And avoid that circumstance
Where there's no second chance to tell her how I feel

If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face this world without me

Harry turned his head and looked at the radio as the song continued to play…

As the song ended Harry sighed once again his head bent.
“How true, how very true” he spoke softly and then got up slowly switching off the radio. Walking out of the study dimming the lights by his wand his legs carried him towards his room back while his head was still swimming with the soft music of the song, its meaningful lyrics and his thoughts.

Harry entered the room and saw it was dimly lit. Walking towards the bed he saw Ginny sleeping soundly and he small smile crept up his face. Gently pushing a strand of her hair back from her face he lay next to her and wrapped her in his arms gently and protectively and she snuggled much closer to him asleep. Holding her he breathed in her fragrance and his mind wrapped up in those cherished memories that they made together. Each one unique, each one lovely, each one worth all the trouble in their life’s…

“Love you Ginny…always had…always will…Good Night Honey” he spoke softly kissing her forehead…before falling into a deep peaceful sleep…

Hello Harita! You always make these one shots so enjoyable to read. I love reading them. I see Harry sitting very tired at his desk, and feel sad and lonely for his struggle of the fear that persists him after all these years. Then l see him put this fear and his report to the back of his mind as he listens and ponders the song on the radio. I am thrilled that he sets aside his report and his fear that he's been occupied with and goes to bed where the love of his life is sleeping without him. His love for her is felt as he holds her in his arm and kisses her. And the words softly spoken to Ginny are so sweet. I wish she heard them. I bet she did. Great job Harita. Beautiful writing. I want to ask you something about "RJ Nightingale" I thought it was his name, but when you put, the, in front then you are saying it is his profession? Correct? In America we call them, "DJ" for "Disc Jockey" It's fine if they are called RJ's over there, I was just making sure we are speaking of the same thing.

and yeah we are sort of talking about the same thing...over here the people on the radio are called RJ or "Radio Jockey" the people on you know "V tv" and "M TV" i guess they are VJ as in "vedio jockey" and DJs are in clubs and all......well that's quite a lot of explaination...i thought of writing DJ but then went ahead with RJ......

Hello, everybody...I had this idea for quite sometime in my head...so i thought why not i put myself up to it.

As you may all know that the Friendship's day is just round the corner so i was thinking of posting one shots and song fictions this entire week leading the first sunday of August, the Friendship's Day...

J K Rowling through her famous book series has revived the true meaning of all kinds of relationships based on values, principles, morals and the sound sense of what is right and what is wrong. Each character isnt perfect be it the protganist or his sidekicks or his mentor everybody has their shades of grey but what sets them apart from the baddies of the series is the basis of these very relationships and morals, values and principles.

And of all the relationships the most famous, common, yet the most adored, valued and celebrated relationship of this series has been that of friendship...

So for this entire week...i have thought up of charcaters that i would write about and will be presenting them to you...

FRIENDS FOREVER PART I


Friendship is like a perennial river which flows forever.
It may change it's path but will never ever dry up.

It was last day of the term and the students were going back to their homes for their summer with a very heavy heart and nervous, scared and almost lost minds about their near future and its uncertainty.
Future; be it subjectively or figuratively has always been regarded as the most uncertain and the most unpredictable thing. But the future what the students of the Hogwarts were seeing was much different. The battle at the end of the term ruining almost their entire school was just a sign of what their future would be like. There was a kind of certainty in the terms of war between the Ministry and the Dark Lord followers or more between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort but what was uncertain was the degree and intensity of the battle and chaos. The death of their favorite twinkling eyed professor was just a sign that many more such wonderful people will be lost
“It was just a teaser before a movie” was what Dean spoke in his muggle terms and the doe eyed girl exactly understood what it meant.


Parvati, Lavender, Dean and Seamus were sitting in the compartment on their way back when Lavender spoke
“this was some year, wasn’t it?”
“yeah” Parvati breathed and the guys just nodded
“first the escape of the death eaters, then the tightening of school security, the new Minister, meeting Ron” she said softly and Parvati looked at Lavender and then sighed
“spending time with him, and then over something very stupid breaking up!” she said and sniffed
“did you see” she began but then she stopped as she saw Parvati glaring at her so she looked away. Parvati herself looked out of window and was remembering one of her school days of this year that involved her best friend and how they both had changed over the this entire school year…


It was the around Christmas time and the Great Hall was in complete din as usual during the dinner time.
Nothing was unusual about the dinner, instead it was getting boring somehow for the dusky, and doe eyed beauty of the Gryffindor seeing her blonde friend fawning over her current boyfriend leaving her and the boy friend’s best friend and her once a date for a ball completely awkward…
Parvati looked at Harry and gave an apologetic smile to which he responded just the same way.
Nodding Parvati looked at her friends and then looked down at her plate Parvati was getting fed up of Lavender’s ‘Ron talk’…
All she ever did was talk about Ron these days to her. In the beginning Parvati liked it, all the gossip about her friend and her boyfriend. How they spend their time and how funny Ron was.
It was during the vacation time when Parvati got to know that Lavender’s liking for Ron was growing quite a bit. When they were quite young Lavender had this small crush on him but then it wasn’t too serious. And as the 6th year started Parvati knew that Lavender would make everything possible to make Ron notice her. But Parvati did sense the tension between her best friend and her room mate Hermione Granger, the one who everybody thought was obvious partner for the Weasley guy.
Parvati was very happy for her friend when that night Lavender came and nearly shouted in the room that she was officially Ron’s girlfriend, as if she needed to know and which was almost obvious by the way the couple had been snogging almost all the time…


Sighing Parvati looked up just in time to see Hermione coming and sitting down. Parvati looked at Harry who was looking at Hermione nervously and then she saw Hermione herself. Just as Parvati was eating her dinner the topic of Sulghorn Party came up and she looked up and saw Hermione talking to fellow Gryffindor about it and what came next was even much more of a shocker
‘McLaggen!’ Parvati thought.
‘Merlin’s Beard, what’s gotten into this girl’s head?’ she thought.
“um…well…Hermione, you seemed to have a thing for Quidditch Players” she spoke with a sly grin and Hermione good naturedly replied
“yeah, that too the very good ones” and Parvati nodded
She looked at Lavender and then at Ron who seemed to have dropped his spoon out of a shock and was red as a beetroot and was furiously whispering to Hermione at her choice of the date for the party.
Parvati looked at her best friend who seemed to be grinning madly and Parvati couldn’t help but laugh at her madness… ‘Merlin! When will this girl be normal’

“then we winning the Cup” Lavender broke the chain of the event and the thoughts following up the event in Parvati’s mind.
“everything was fine and then that devastating battle” Parvati spoke up her mind now back on the horrifying end of their term
“this, is so unfair, I…I don’t know but I feel so suffocated and bad and miserable already” she cried and tears fell from her face. The guys just looked at her and the patted her hand gently


The train pulled into the Kings Cross Station and a regular throng of people were seen at the platform to receive the kids safely back home.
As the two best friends disembarked and were about to part ways Lavender spoke up
“Parvati, I am really sorry for the way I behaved today, I can’t believe I was so selfish” she said and Parvati knew what she was talking about
“don’t beat yourself up Lav, its just that you are having a bad time, you will get out of it. I know” she said in an encouraging tone.
“I don’t know, not just today, actually the entire year. All I just did was spend time with Ron and even with you all I did was talk of him and I could see it how you were putting up through my nonsense” she said sighing
“I know saying this also will make me sound stupid and as if all I care about is gossip but I could actually see your interest draining out of the even little of the gossip we ever had this year” she said and Parvati chuckled
This is her best friend, unique and mental but all the same a wonderful friend who is apologizing about some stupid gossip. Parvati shook her head
“Listen Lav, I might have got bored of gossiping for all you may know. I feel i have changed all through this year somehow. i feel different now not the same gossipy girl i have been and i know you have changed too but there is one thing you should know that is I am always there to listen to my best friend’s thoughts” she said squeezing her hand and Lavender nodded but still looking down
“Lavender, have you ever come across this quote?”
“which?” Lavdener asked
“Friendship is like a perennial river which flows forever. It may change it's path but will never ever dry up”
“you get what I mean?” Parvati asked and Lavender looked up and nodded and hugged her best friend teary eyed. From that time on it only confirmed that whatever be the thing though later they both may part ways but one thing that would always keep them coming back for each other would be their so many years of friendship…

FRIENDS FOREVER PART II

In a friend you find a second self.

It was time and the brown headed, sea blue eyed young wizard of seventeen was sitting waiting for a sign, a signal for the commencement of something that they had been waiting for all year long. It wasn’t that they were sure they were going to be a part of it because they did all they could but couldn’t prevent the inevitable. But at least they showed the enemies what they were made of. And even if they got into hiding in the secret room they will come back, come back in huge force for their leader and for the safety of the future of the wizarding world…
The Gryffindor looked up and looked around and saw almost the entire school present there with the DA member’s keeping a safe eye on everybody. Pulling himself out of the train of thoughts of his responsibility Seamus Finnigan rested his head on the armchair and closed his eyes…


Seamus, mate I may not be coming back this year…As you already know that they are tracking muggle borns down…My heritage is complicated. I don’t know quite a bit about it myself. I need to save myself and keep them away from going to my parents…I am not telling where I am…
Just wanted to let you know that I couldn’t have found any other best friend all through my life than in you…

The words were almost imprinted in his mind…
Seamus opened his eyes and looked at some movement. He looked up and then around and caught Parvati and Lavender’s eye. They indicated towards the portrait hole through which Neville left them. Seamus nodded and got up from his chair. Neville wasn’t around now, he had to be ready and alert. Walking away slowly (thanks to the Carrows for the bruises on his legs) and twitching his face a bit which bore cuts and marks Seamus made rounds around the room his hand in his cloak pocket but his mind no doubt wandering to think where exactly his dear friend would be now…


Seamus regretted the entire time about burning what could have been the last letter of his best mate just for his friend and his safety sake.


Watching the Gryffindor flags around the room and the paintings Seamus realized how Dean loved drawing and painting and how he was very good at his Quidditch. The guy who always thought Football better than Quidditch had become a very fine chaser for their House! Seamus let out a small smile looking at the Gryffindor flag and a Quidditch uniform hanging nearby on a cloak stand…
Thinking of his and Dean’s best time playing gobstones and chess with Ron, or sitting together and doing nothing but cursing Snape when they had spare time and all such memories of their best school days were Seamus’ only escape route now but with every passing memory the hope and wish for his friend’s safety and survival increased and so did the pain of thought of not able to see him again…


Minutes had passed into hours and there was no sign of Neville. Seamus looked at his friends and it seemed his own worries were being reflected back and then they heard muffling sound coming from the portrait door which was closed. The wands were out instantly.
Ernie and Terry each on the side of the portrait with their wands aloft, Seamus diagonally a little away waiting to get a clear shot standing over the timid first years was ready if they were to be an attack. Parvati, Lavender, Justin, Michael all of them in their positions ready.


“Hey wh-what!” it was the astonished voice of Harry Potter and there were instant gasps. As the people from the portrait piled in Seamus was already near them and they were so many of them talking. He chuckled when he received a look from Harry which clearly indicated that he couldn’t recognize him till he spoke. Seamus shook his head and just then he noticed his best mate walk in.

Astonished, he went and hugged him covering up his relief and worry as well as his physical pain in a good natured enthusiatic hug.

Dean looked at Seamus and then sighed, “man…have the Carrows been beating you with a bludger” and Seamus chuckled

“Good to see you again, mate” Dean spoke and turned just in time to listen to Harry and their next step and Seamus just nodded but he knew his mind was finally at peace and heart stable and ready to face the battle with his friend by his side, for in Dean he found his second self…

Harita, that was truely inspirational. I loved everybit of it. Waiting in that room must have been just about unbearable. But, at least they were safe. And then I can't imagine the joy and jubilation when this happened. That was so sweet! And yes, I loved it. I'll be watching for tomorrows post.

FRIENDS FOREVER III

It was an unusually bright pleasant morning after the end of Second Wizarding War when a long blonde haired girl with her spectra specs to evade the Warkspurts from her garden.

“ ‘Morning Luna” said a polite voice and at once Luna Lovegood turned to see Neville Longbottom standing there at the fence of her garden
“Neville!” she exclaimed rather in an pleasantly amusing way removing her googly eyed specs and came in and hugged him which left him red
“you alright?” she asked seeing him turn red
“ah? Yea-yeah, I am fine” he stuttered
“oh good, because for a second I thought you had Warkspurts buzzing around you” she said smilingly and then returned back to doing her work: evading the creatures that she so strongly believed in.
Neville stood and watched Luna evade the so called creatures with such a varied style, swinging her wand in a characteristic way which was comical but one could imagine that she was dancing to some tune just known to her.

After what seemed like half an hour Luna looked back at Neville and smiled and said
“do come in” and lead him into the Lovegood Residence.
“your dad not around?” he asked
“no, he knows where can he get the solid proof for Gulping Plimpies, so he is after them” she said smiling
“Gulping what?” he asked slightly amused but his voice characteristically confused.
Neville still found certain things hard to believe and digest
“Gulping Plimpies, Neville” she said and poured him a glass of butterbeer
“oh, well I don’t really know what they are” he said and sipping in his butterbeer
“oh well, is a breed of Plimpy which repells Gurdy roots” she said and Neville looked at her for a moment and just politely nodded his head
“You know my dad makes Plimpy soup, it tastes really well” she said
“oh” was all Neville could say.
They sat in silence for sometime and then Luna spoke
“hey, actually my room has to be done would you mind coming and helping me?”
“your room, no problem but what went wrong in there?” he asked and Luna filled in how during the war her house got devastated
“you know you just have to help me in handing me down the things while I set them properly” she said and led him on to the spiraling staircase.

Following Luna, Neville entered the brightly lit room. The room was almost done but still had few things out of place.
“you have set these things back?” he asked looking at the boxes full of variety of weird things
“yeah”
Neville looked around and saw there were quite some murals and paintings displayed around something which he had no idea about Luna
“why don’t you use your wand” he asked and a smiling Luna turned to him and spoke
“Neville, how much ever bravely I held myself against Bellatrix I still am not allowed to perform magic when not in school, at least not until I turn 17”
“oh yeah, sorry I forgot” he said and then turned away looking around her room when his eyes fell on the mural
“wow” he breathed
“what?”
“you painted this?” he asked. He saw Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and his own painting there and a sense of gratitude and emotion overwhelmed him
“yeah, you know its nice to have friends like you” she said unabashedly which made Neville go uncomfortable. Luna’s such nature made her what she was; unique and completely wonderful person to be friends with. Someone who was never afraid of speaking her mind be it the bitter truth or an honestly deserving praise for someone.
A person who with completely out of world beliefs doesn’t bother what people think of her and yet could touch and effect your life in such small ways that you cant avoid its effects and for that Neville was so very thankful to Luna…

Hello Harita. harita, don't underestimate your talent in writing. I think it was great! Especially since we aren't given the opportunity to be as close to her as we are with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I think JK could have given us the priviledge to get to know her, and even Ginny more without taking away from the story. But, here you have done very well with her portrayal. And Neville is sweet wheather you know him or not.
I loved this line: Great post Harita. I'll be waiting for your next post.
