| Killing Snape - Sa9+ Killing Snape Amy Arbor wasn’t like most students at Hogwarts. In fact, she wasn’t like most students anywhere. To begin with, she was very beautiful, with brown-blonde hair which cascaded down her back, green-blue eyes, and a slight figure. For another, she was always coming up with fun pranks (Yet somehow, she managed to stay on teachers good sides). And lastly, she had the three best friends in the whole world.
At the moment however, there was nothing (other then her looks) to set her apart from the other students milling around the Hogwarts express searching for a compartment. Well, perhaps there was. She after all knew where her friends were.
Coming to the last compartment in the entire train, Amy took a deep breath and knocked hard on the door. Without waiting for an answer, she pulled open it door and stuck her head in.
“Hey! Is there any more room left or will I have to find somewhere else to sit?” Amy asked, smiling.
“Amy!!” Came a shout from inside the compartment. A moment later her friend Molly appeared, grinning. “There you are! I’ve missed you so much!” Molly said, hugging her enthusiastically. “And of course you can come in. Brian, Dan and I were just wondering where you were!” Molly looked her up and down, a frown crossing her face. “You’re looking really skinny… Have you been eating?”
“Of course! You’ve seen me eat, my appetite is much bigger then I am.” Amy said, giggling. Molly was a ‘motherly’ figure, always worrying about her friends. She was also compassionate, funny, and super smart. She had curly dirty blond hair, brown eyes, and a petite figure. “Anyway, your one to talk, your rail thin too.”
Dragging her trunk into the train compartment, Amy grinned as she spotted her two other best friends sitting in the corner swapping chocolate frog cards. Dan, who was closer to the door, was a good looking guy, with tousled black hair, blue eyes, and an athletic figure. He was funny, nice, and smart as well as being a great Quidditch player. He drove the girls at Hogwarts wild. Next to him was Brian. Lanky, with brown eyes and curly dark brown hair, he was also a Hogwarts ‘heartthrob’. His personality almost matched Dan’s perfectly although he could be a bit shyer. They both looked up as she entered.
“Hey! It’s been awhile.” Dan said, smiling.
“Yup!” Amy said, grinning back. She took a seat across next to Molly across from Dan and Brian. “So, how were your summers?”
“Mine was great! But I really missed you guys. I’m so happy to be going back.” Molly said.
“Mine was good. Same old same old, really, practicing quidditch!” Dan replied.
“I guess my summer was ok…” Brian said trailing off and looking uncharacteristically sad.
“Were your parents fighting loads again?” Molly asked Brian with concern.
“Yea. I think they’re going to get a divorce but wanted to wait until I had gone to school.” Brain said. “I hate that they are going to separate, but it has got to be better then them fighting all the time, hasn’t it?” Brian asked.
“I think so.” Said Molly. “I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens.”
“Yea, I guess so.” Brian said. Suddenly, he brightened. “I finally found the new Dumbledore chocolate frog card I told you guys about in our letters. It’s really cool, and it’s a limited edition. Want to see it?” Brian asked hopefully.
“Sure, that sounds really cool!” Amy said, grinning. Brian and Dan loved to collect chocolate frog cards, and Brian was always really proud when he found something Dan didn’t have.
“All right, let me find it…” Brian said, pulling out a box and staring to rummage through it.
“So, Amy, how was your summer?” Dan asked.
“Oh, it was fun! Mum, dad, Julia and I got to go to America to visit my aunt, Margaret. That was really cool.” Amy said. Julia was Amy’s younger sister, who also went to Hogwarts. She was two years younger then Amy but they got along really well.
“That does sound like fun!” Molly said.
“Here it is!” Brian suddenly said. He was holding up a gold edged card. On it, Dumbledore sat calmly adjusting his spectacles. Molly giggled.
“What so funny?” Brian asked, indignantly.
“Nothing, it’s just…” Molly stopped talking to catch her breath, and then she continued. “It’s just that I think its funny, the way Dumbledore is adjusting his glasses.” Molly held up her hand and mimicked Dumbledore, pushing at the bridge of her nose as if there was a pair of glasses sliding down her nose. The whole cabin erupted in laughter. It was good to be back thought Amy. -Hey! This is my second fan fiction and I hope you like it. The first post is more of an introduction to who Amy's friends are and the basics of the things going on in their lives. This takes place in Amy's sixth year. Enjoy!-

She's a Mary-Sue. Doesn't seem to have much of a personality, and to make it worse, she's STUNNING. Not a good beginning, but the title caught my eye.
Mainly because I'm a Snape supporter, so it wasn't in a good way.

Nice descriptions of her friends, convincing enough to believe. And a nice comfortable beginning for the story.
However there wasn't much described about the main character yet, are you keeping her a mystery?

| Hello readers (should there be any). I’m sorry to say that I will be unable to update for 20 days. I will be at camp and on vacation (don’t worry, I wont be having fun because Ill be with my horrid cousins). I planned to update before I left, but I was unable to due to being very busy. I will be back on Sunday the 21 and I hope to update around then. Look for updates in 20 days! Extra Note to Everyone: This fan fiction has nothing whatsoever to do with HBP. I have had the idea in my head for a long time now, and it is in no way related to what happens in HBP. Thanks . |

| “Five more minutes guys!” Molly said, coming back into the train compartment. She had just left to find out when they would be arriving at Hogwarts.
“Really?” Amy asked incredulously. She could hardly believe the time had passed so quickly.
“Really really!” Molly said, smiling and looking at everyone. “You might want to put your robes on guys; otherwise I’m sure Snape will be more then happy to take points from Ravenclaw again.”
This comment was greeted by a groan from the entire cabin. The entire Ravenclaw house disliked Snape (much like the Gryffindors), but Amy and her friends had a special place in their hearts for him. Ever since their first year, when Brian let loose a pixie in potions class, Snape had hated them. In turn, they were always trying to disrupt his class (and daily life) as best as they could.
“Yea, well, let’s not make it easy for him.” Amy said with a grin. Standing up and reaching above her seat, Amy grabbed her trunk and rummaged around in it for her robes. Pulling a pair out, she stared fondly at the Ravenclaw crest in the corner. Standing up, she slid the robes over her head, covering up her pink top and jeans. Amy sat down and laughed as she watched Brian struggle to get his robes over his head.
“Brian, you might want to try untangling them before you put them on next time.” Molly said, also laughing. She caught Amy’s eye and grinned.
Amy sat down and fiddled with a bracelet on her wrist. It was a thin silver chain that encircled her small wrist. On the chain was a small sapphire, her birthstone, between two smaller diamonds. Amy always played with it when she was feeling anxious, worried, or excited. Looking around the room, she caught Dan’s eye and he grinned.
“Nervous, are we?” He asked with a hint of concern.
Amy stared at him and shook her head. “No-…” Thinking about it, she suddenly fell silent. In her heart she knew she was worried about the year to come and what it would hold for her and her friends. Letting go of her bracelet (but not before giving it a last twist), she cracked a smile. “I guess I am, but only a little bit. And I’m excited!”
“Well that’s good.” Dan said before turning away to talk to Brian. Amy smiled and turned to Molly, who was next to her.
“So, how about you, excited for the new school year?” Amy inquired.
Molly’s face lit up, and Amy knew she couldn’t wait. “Yea! I can’t wait to start my classes; they should be loads of fun. And…” Molly lowered her voice with a glance at Dan and Brian. “I heard that the boys in our year got cuter!”
Amy laughed at that. Molly loved boys, almost as much as she loved school work. However, Amy was one of the only people who knew that Molly also had a secret crush on Brian. Throughout the school, Amy was known as a great friend and secret keeper, as well as a good confidant. She was also known for being excellent at Defense against the Dark Arts, so no one would ever try to get anything out of her (Unless they wanted to risk being covered in boils for a week).
Amy was surprised to hear the train stop, and couldn’t help thinking ‘has it really been five whole minutes?’ Getting up from their seats the group headed out of their compartment. The corridors in the train were packed with students all trying to stay together. Amy grabbed Molly’s hand and began weaving her way through the crowd towards the nearest exit. When the doors were opened, Amy, Molly, Brian, and Dan got of the train and moved out of the way to avoid the rush of students coming out of the door.
“Are you glad we got out of there or what?” Brian asked rubbing his arm, which had been bumped several times.
“Of course.” Molly said, looking at Brian’s arm with concern while he blushed.
“Hey guys, come over here!” Amy jumped as she heard Dan yell from a few yards away. He was standing by a horseless carriage.
“Come on, lets get there before Dan decides to leave us here.” Molly said, laughing. Amy grinned too, it was the sort of thing Dan would do. Walking over the carriage, Amy stopped when she saw that Dan was still outside, holding open the door.
“After you, madam.” He said with a mock bow.
“Uh huh, you think I’m going to fall for that one again?” Amy raised her eyebrows. “I’m not going to fall for it. Last time you did that, I ended up riding up to the school alone and having to explain to Snape why I took up a whole carriage.”
“Hey, you don’t trust me?” Dan asked with mock indigenization
“No, I don’t.” Amy said, with a grin. “How about you go first?”
“All right, all right” Dan grumbled, getting in.
Amy got in behind him, fallowed by Brian and Molly. When they were all inside and the door was shut the carriage began to move up the winding road to Hogwarts.
“So,” Brian said, leaning forward in what Amy had come to recognize as his ‘plotting pose’. “What do you think our first prank should be? Turning on all the water in the boys bathrooms and clogging the sinks?”
“No, we need to do something that the whole school will see…” Molly said.
“I know just the thing!” Dan said, grinning wickedly. “And no, I’m not going to tell you guys, it’ll be a surprise. You’ll find out at the feast.”
“That’s no fair!” Amy said, laughing.
“Yea it is!” Dan replied, also laughing. “Anyway, you don’t have long to wait, were about to come up to the main gates.”
“Fine, be like that.” Amy said, settling back in her chair. She had no idea what he was going to do, but she knew it was going to be good if he wouldn’t tell them. She amused herself for the next few minutes by guessing what it could be, and was just in the middle of a great idea when they pulled up to Hogwarts.
“All right, everybody out, I want a moments more freedom all to myself before submitting to teachers every whim.” Brian said.
“Yea and what whims are those?” Dan asked with a smirk.
“Oh, you know, homework, getting to class on time… Their whims are so strange” Brian said with a dramatic sigh.
“Get out of the carriage you big baby.” Molly said from outside. “You’re holding up the line.”
Everyone got out and Amy stared up at the school before going in. For some strange reason the school had a darker air about it, as if it were holding its breath and waiting for something bad to happen. Amy shuddered and walked up the steps and through the great doors. -There you go, another update as promised. I really hope you like it! I tried to add some more information about the main character, Amy. Please tell me what you think!- |

| The entrance hall was bright and cheerful looking with torches aligning the walls, their light filling the room. The sound of students talking echoed pleasantly around the space. Amy smiled as she saw people she recognized. Seeing Professor McGonagall shepherding some first years into a room off of the great hall, Amy caught her eye and waved. Professor McGonagall waved back, but was distracted a moment later by Peeves stealing her hat. Grinning, Amy turned away and fallowed her friends into the great hall.
The great hall was just as bright as the entrance hall, if not more so. The tables were laden with gold cutlery which sparkled brightly in the torch light. The staff table was nearly filled, with the exceptions of Professor McGonagall and Hagrid’s seats, which would be filled soon. Even the Sorting Hat seemed to sparkle on its rickety stool at the front of the room. Shaking her hair from her face, Amy sat down between Molly and Dan at the Ravenclaw table. Looking around the room, Amy saw Draco Malfoy staring at her. Narrowing her eyes, Amy glared at him.
“What are you glaring at Amy-? Oh, I see.” Molly said, fallowing her gaze and causing Molly to look away from Malfoy. “That kid is such a git. He thinks he’s better then everyone, just because he’s rich and pureblood. It makes me sick!”
“Hey!” Dan said, giving Molly an indignant look. “I’m pureblood too you know!”
“Yes, you are, but you don’t flaunt it like so fancy cloak.” Amy said, grinning. “I like to think of you as a pleasant surprise.”
“And why is that?” Dan asked.
“Because, when I first met you, I thought you would be a total jerk.”
“No one could be a jerk to you, not even Malfoy. You just don’t like him because what he said to Brian about being a Mudblood.” Dan said.
“Ugh, that was awful of him to say!” Molly said with conviction.
“It really was. Maybe we can--” At that very moment, Dan was cut off by Dumbledore, who had just stood up.
“Now, could I please have a warm welcome to our first years?” Dumbledore said, bringing his hands together in a strong clap which was taken up by the students. Amy clapped along with everyone else which struggling to see the new arrivals. Professor McGonagall led the line of frightened looking students. They were shorter then Amy ever remembered being and made for an almost comical site. Stopping before the Sorting Hat, which seemed to straighten itself up. Rather then listening to its song, Amy turned to Molly.
“Were we ever really that short?” Amy asked curiously.
“I don’t think so… But maybe. I can’t remember if everyone was really tall or we were really short.” Molly replied.
“Who do you think will be in Gryffindor?” Amy wondered aloud.
“Well,” Dan said darkly, “It won’t be that kid in the middle.”
“Which one?” Brian asked, peering at the first years.
“See the blond one? Pale…” Dan asked. Amy glanced down the line and found the boy Dan was talking about. He was blonde and pale, as Dan had said, but there was also something oddly familiar about his appearance.
“Yea, what about him?” Molly said.
“Oh, you don’t recognize his relation to someone we know?” Dan asked, nodding at Malfoy.
“Malfoy doesn’t have a brother!” Amy said realizing who the boy looked like and wondering what this could all be about.
“No, your right. That’s his cousin.” Dan said with a sigh.
“Another Malfoy?” Molly said, and Amy could hear despair in her voice. She hated Malfoy just as much as her.
“I’m afraid so.” Dan said. “And be quiet, the sorting is about to start!”
“Almund, Maria!” Professor McGonagall said loudly. A small girl with blonde ringlets walked timidly to the stool and sat down. The hat was slipped onto her head and after a moment it shouted “Ravenclaw!”
Amy clapped with everyone else at her table and began to study the features of the new students. However, it wasn’t for long. A few minutes later Stephen Malfoy was called to the stool and Amy’s eyes were instantly upon him. He sat down gingerly, and the sorting hat was slipped down upon his face. However, a moment later, it began to rise again, on its own accord. Looking over, Amy saw that Dan was holding his wand under the table and muttering something under his breath. Turning back, Amy began to laugh (along with all of the other students), at the shabby black hat floating a few yards above Stephen Malfoy’s head. Glancing at Draco Malfoy, Amy grinned at his furious expression.
“That will be enough Mr. Foster.” Dumbledore said with an amused expression as he looked at Dan, who grinned sheepishly and lowered the hat back on Stephen’s head. A moment later he was sorted into Slytherin and the whole hall cheered.
“That was great!” Brian said, slapping Dan on the back. The other students were looking at him with interested expressions on their faces. Dan was grinning, obviously enjoying himself.
“Did you see that kids face? Brilliant!” Molly exclaimed.
“Did you see Malfoy’s face? Now that was even better!” Amy said with a grin.
“I know, it was worth it just for that.” Dan mimicked Malfoy’s expression of mixed fury and indigenization and Amy began to laugh.
“Oh, wait!” Amy had just realized something. Looking up at the staff table, Amy caught Snape’s eye. His eyes were narrow and his expression furious. Amy glanced away with a shudder. “I think we’ve really made Snape mad.” She said with concern.
“Who cares, he’s a git anyway.” Dan said reassuringly. “Come on, the foods here, let’s eat!”
Glancing at the table, Amy was surprised to see it already pilled with food. But for some reason, she wasn’t as hungry as she had been. She picked at her food for the rest of the feast and then headed up to bed without talking much. Right before going to sleep, Amy pulled out a picture of her family. They were at the beach, and her Mom and Dad were laughing as she and her sister played in the surf. It had been taken a few years ago, and still reminded her of home. Tucking it under her pillow, Amy turned onto her side and fell asleep to dreams of floating hats and lost pictures. Thanks for all the comments! They make me feel uber special, and are loads of fun to read. I hope you like the update!

| The next morning came bright and early, the sun peaking out from behind a dusting of clouds. Amy could tell by the small of the air that it would begin to rain later that day. Before getting into her robes Amy slipped a bright green sweater on to ward of the sudden chill that had set in with the coming of fall. Heading out of her dorm with Molly, they made their way to the great hall where they met up with Dan and Brian. Most of the other students were still asleep hoping to get an extra few minutes of rest.
“Boy, is it a nice day or what?” Brian asked cheerfully as they sat down. He was helping himself to sausages and bacon and didn’t look up.
“Yea, I suppose so, but it’s going to rain later today.” Amy said, grabbing a piece of toast and spreading jam on it.
“How come you always know these sorts of things?” Molly asked with interest.
“Yea, how do you always know what the weathers going to be like?” Dan prompted.
“Well, I don’t know…” Amy trailed off to take a bit of toast and think for a moment. She didn’t really know how she knew, but her father always did too. “Perhaps it’s because my father can? Maybe it’s something genetic.” Fro the looks on her friends faces Amy could tell they didn’t understand. At a loss for words, Amy blushed. Seeing their schedules at the end of the table, Amy jumped on the chance to change the topic.
“Look!” She exclaimed, making a first year nearby jump. “Our schedules!”
“Finally!” Molly said happily, walking over and getting their schedules for them. Getting hers, Amy glanced it over and groaned.
“Potions first on Mondays? That’s some great luck we have. And…” Amy paused for a moment to look in disbelief at her schedule. “We also have a double potions period on Friday!”
“Well, at least I’m forewarned that Ill never have a good weekend again.” Dan said grumpily.
“Well, look on the bright side! We’re with the Hufflepuffs so it’s not like he can only pick on us.” Brian said with a smile. A Hufflepuff girl who happened to be standing by him turned and glared, causing Amy to giggle and the Hufflepuff student to glare even more.
“What’s so funny?” Asked Molly, who had been too consumed in her schedule to notice anything.
“Brian just made himself a new friend.” Amy said with a grin and a small nod to the Hufflepuff girl who was now whispering to her friend.
“Hey! I didn’t mean it like it came out.” Brian said defensively.
“Sureee you didn’t…” Amy said, rolling her eyes and finishing her toast. Taking a sip of pumpkin juice Amy glanced at her watch and began to gather her things.
“What’s the rush?” Dan asked as he finished off his eggs.
“In case you somehow forgot, we have potions first. That means we should be super duper early so he don’t have another excuse to take points from us.” Molly said, gathering her things as well.
“It’s not like you have to worry about shaming the Ravenclaw name or anything Molly.” Brian said, grabbing his books. “You’re always perfect. Just as smart, if not more so, then Hermione Granger.”
“I wish.” Muttered Molly with a rueful look at the Gryffindor table where Hermione, Harry, and Ron sat laughing at something. However, Amy saw a pleased smile and faint blush on her face that gave it away, Molly was really quite proud of the fact that her intelligence matched that of Hermione Granger.
“I still don’t get why that girl isn’t in Ravenclaw.” Dan said with a contemplative look on his face as he too looked at Hermione.
“I don’t know…” Said Amy, who had just been wondering the same thing.
“Well then, I guess we will never know.” Molly said crisply, steering them into the entrance hall and towards the dungeons. As they walked down the dungeon corridors (which got steadily darker and colder) they suddenly ran into Malfoy kissing Pansy Parkinson passionately on the lips.
“That’s just gross.” Dan said loudly, causing Malfoy and Pansy to look up from their snogging match. “It looks a lot like a toilet and its plunger…”
Malfoy’s eyes darkened. “Since when could you tell what snogging looked like? Have you even kissed someone before, or just the mirror?” He asked coldly.
“You must be talking about yourself Malfoy. And speaking of you, how is your little cousin doing? Did he get over his scare? I heard he wet his pants.” Dan said with a smirk. Amy hid a smile. She knew Dan had heard no such thing, but one of Pansy’s weaknesses was gossip. By the end of the day the entire school will have heard the rumor.
Malfoy’s look could have frozen water, it was that cold. Glancing at Pansy, he shoved passed them and headed the way they had come. Brian smiled sweetly at Pansy.
“So, how are you this morning?” Brian asked with a falsely sweet tone to match his smile.
“Shut up!” Pansy said shrilly before running past them to catch up with Malfoy. Brian grinned.
“That was interesting.” Molly said, with a slightly disapproving air.
“Yea, it was, wasn’t it?” Dan said with a glazed look as he stared down the corridor Malfoy and Pansy had just run up. “I never knew he was dating Pansy…”
“What, did you want to or something?” Amy asked with a slightly annoyed tone. “And I doubt they’re dating. They probably just like to snog in the halls.”
“Yea, sure.” Dan said, shaking his head and beginning to walk forward again. The door to the potion room was closed and students were just starting to come down the hallway to wait outside for class.
“I wonder what were doing today, I bet it will—” Amy stopped in mid sentence. Snape was striding down the corridor, scattering the students like leaves in the wind. Reaching his door, he unlocked it and walked inside, clearly expecting them to fallow. Amy took a deep breath and walked over the threshold. Potions class had begun. I hope you like it ! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jeremy Bradford Fifth Year | "It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not." Oh I like the new update Gwyn! Stupid Draco and Pansy. What scum. Anywho I like how you have Harry, Ron, and Hermione in your story as well. Kind of cool to see the three of them through other people's perspectives. Keep up the great writing and post more soon^^ Still think it's awesome we have World Civ together. *claps* lol.
