"She's my sister, my twin sister if she's not happy i'm not and being away from him does that to her, we have to get them together somehow"
"I'm not interfering"
"For me, would you do it for me?"
He looked on and then nodded "But there not going to want to be left alone together, you know that they won't be in the same room there doing everything they can to avoid it"
"What if he thinks i'm her - he can't tell the difference"
"You want to trick him?"
"It's a thought - it's a plan that could actually work"
"And you don't think he'd be mad at you for it?"
"He's not going to know, i'll be her, he'll tell me and i'll tell her everything, he won't know a thing"

James groaned "Still don't think this is a good Idea"
"Then you know what don't get involved" Indie replied standing up,
"Don't get all huffy and an annoyed Indie"
"I'm not" she crossed her arms "I'll do it myself, i'll tell him she wants to talk to him, i'll change into her clothes and speak to him instead"
"And Mel?"
"You can tell the difference - just make sure she doesn't come up while i'm working"

"James" she walked away angrily,
"Indie"he called after her "Just wait a minute ok" she kept going,out the portrait hole and down the coridoor,
"Indie" yelled, "Please"
She stopped and turned
"Be reasonable Indie - can't you see it might not work?"
"I'm going to help my sister, if you don't want to help your best friend let them suffer or let me do something"
He sighed "You know what go ahead - but if you want me to suddenly say this is a brilliant I idea your going to be waiting a long time!"
"Fine - lets just finish this then, you don't trust me and at this point in time i can't stand you so lets call it quits save you the hassle"
"Whatever you want babe" he said angrily and turned away storming off, she ran to the toilets in tears.

She wiped her eyes fiercely and stood up, she would help Mel first and deal with James later. He sat on his bed, the curtains drawn around him hearing two sets of feet walking up the stairs and then Indie's voice "I just want to talk to you about something"
"What - why Indie and James are hating each other right now?"
"No - that i don't have a clue about"
he jumped up, pulled out a 'borrowed' invisibility cloak he got from his fathers office and stood in the corner as the door opened.

"Look Mel"
"I know we've both been acting weird lately - but Kaleb do you like me?"
"Yeah - course - your my best friend Mel"
"But the thing is..."
"Your my best friend and - and erm..."
"Erm...?"
"What would you say if i said i liked you more then that, i mean like Jame's and Indie"
"Not like those too - they've just broken up"
"Then like Kaleb likes Mel" he smirked "Alot" James watched her blush as he touched her cheek and felt the anger surging under his skin, he yanked out his wand and stunned Kaleb - Indie stepped back in shock as he appeared.
"What just happened - what did you do!?"
"You let him come onto you - you would have let him kiss you!"
"What - James - don't you want me and Kaleb to be together?!"
"I know it's you Indie"
"I make a brilliant Mel though"she smirked and crossed her arms "I'm liking the jealousy by the way"
"So am I" he grinned pulling her into a kiss before she could say anything,
"I'm sorry alright" he said pulling away "I should be helping you sort them out"
"Hmm"she leaned in again to kiss him as if she'd forgotten what they'd ever been arguing about when Mel walkd in the door,
"What the - KALEB!" She rushed over to him on the floor "Your eating each others faces while he's unconcious!"
"He's fine - you wake him up - tell him you like him and give him a kiss will you" Indie smirked, pulling James out the door behind her,
"He likes you too Mel - he's been pining for you for weeks give him a chance"
She blushed sitting on the floor next to him, craddling his head in her arms, "Just go - explain why your wearing my clothes later Indie"

"Kaleb?, Kaleb are you ok?" she said pointing her wand at him watching him come out of the stupor,
"What- what just happened?"
"Indie and James-they, it looks like - well it-"
He leant up and kissed her before she could struggle out another word,
"They were trying to set us up right" he said and she nodded happily, "She was pretending to be me i think"
"So why am i on the floor?"
"I don't know"
"Oh - oh i think - erm James must has - yeah that must be it"
"What?"
"I think he - he saw me trying to kiss Indie and stunned me - I thought it was you"
"I don't mind about that - it wasn't your fault"
"Good" he leant up to kiss her again with a smile.
"So we're together?"
"You want to be an item - you want to be like Indie and James?"
"Well we'll be much better then them, we won't annoy everyone with our massive displays of affection"

"Finally" Indie grinned, "Could have taken much longer but you got there"
"Shut up" Mel muttered twisting the ring round her finger, "You tried to help but you could have just left us"

"Should have" she replied looking her twin in the eye "We would have got there without your help, but-"

"But i'm glad you and your stupid boyfriend interfered in our love life"
Indie smiled smuggly,
'Don't be so up yourself sister' she muttered without moving her lips 'If James had killed Kaleb i wouldn't be happy with you'
'But he didn't, he just got a little jealous - quite a bit more fierce with his kisses when he's jealous'
'i don't want to know, if your going to talk like that get out of my head'
'We'll talk later, i'm going to find him now you made me think about it'
'urgh, please - and when you come back don't relieve your make out sessions in your thoughts - there very loud!'
"I won't" she grinned speaking aloud, "But just remember i can see in your head too, and as much as i like Kaleb, he's my friend and i don't want to think of him like you do either"

"I'm sorry"she said reaching for her daughter in laws hand "I love my son, I love my children and to see them suffering or getting hurt by the people that love them, well it doesn't sit well with me as you can imagine"
"It's like your forgetting i'm a mother as well Molly, you've known me years and you know that if Ron forgives me, if Ron understands what happened twenty years ago was a mistake and is ok with it you should be too"
"Sometimes I can't help myself, i make the situation worst and hurt those I'm trying to protect - but Hermione your my daughter and I love you, and I love my grandchildren, I can get past myself if it means I don't lose what i hold dear in this world - another grandchild I'll have to get knitting" she patted the bump endearingly "Will they be born before Rose and Hugo are back?"
"No -a while yet"
"Time to get ready again then"
"Ron's looking forward to it more then I am, I thought the nights of no sleep were over" She smiled "But he allways pulls half the weight when it comes to the kids, he loves them too much for his own good"
"Can I ask - have you spoken to him?"
"Yes - once, we won't be speaking again, he has his life his wife and children and i have my family, we're both happy with where we are, he's not a bad person we've moved on from all of that for James and Indies sake"

"James is smitten" She grinned "They've been friends for ever it was partly expected this would happen it more concerning with then finding out about there parents - it was ok until Draco knew he was there dad and it got out Elizabeth was a bit bonkers"

5 years later -

"I asked her to marry me dad" James said a little breathlessly standing at the open door of Harry's office.
Harry looked up more shocked then anything else and smiled "That explains the look on your face and the interuption, I take it she said yes?"
He nodded,
"So James why do you look like i'd be upset with you?"
"I - I don't - I mean your not - you told me to go slow"
"I said to do what you want just pace your self son, you want to marry Indie go and ahead and do it, shes a great girl, you've been with her five years and well if your mother and I can see how much you and her are like us at your age i'm pretty sure you'll be just as happy"
"I didn't ask her dad - you think he'll be annoyed that she's going to be a Potter"
"James your over thinking again, i'm sure that Draco could see this coming without you having to ask his permission to do so, your twenty, your both adults I'm just waiting for you to move out so i can turn your room into a Quidditch gallery"

they hugged and James grinned "You'll let me and her tell mum right, i wanna see the look on her face"

"What! Oh my god ! come here!" Ginny leapt and squashed them both in a bonecrushing hug, "I'm so happy so you - you two need any help just let me know"
"I - just - want - you - to - let - go" James got out breathlessly, "Jeez mum"
"I'm just happy for you!" she took Indie's hand with a smile,
"Thank you" She grinned "But we've got to tell Elizabeth and i'm not looking forward to that in the least"
"Invite her over, get her to bring Jasper and the baby and tell them, we'll be your back up" Ginny said with a smile "Harry won't mind - before you say anything, and you know what invite your dad and Astoria too"
"I don't think-"
"-James it's a good idea"Ginny said dismissing her son with a wave of her hand "And if they don't get on, well it doesn't matter, you've tried, you've told them and just know you've got this family as well as Draco's if your mum doesn't want to know"
Indie pulled her into a hug this time, "Thankyou - let's do it"
James frowned in worry, but Indie stepped back to take his hand "Don't worry Jay, I can see what your thinking but this might just be the only way to break it too her"
"I thought you'd never read my thoughts" he smiled,
"There all over your face honey"she replied with a grin and leant up to kiss him.
Ginny smiled watching "We'll invite them tonight, get it over and done with"
"Alright" James and Indie said together, "Kaleb and Mel too?"they added speaking in sync, Ginny blinked and then nodded in bewilderment,
"Yes of course - I don't know why your worried about her being in your head James, your in hers and she's pretty much in yours already"

"What!" Elizabeth started "I knew there was a reason for this but you too getting married?" she handed the toddler in her arms to her husand,
"Mum don't be like that ok"
"They have my support"Draco put forward,
"Of course they do, they do what ever they want when they are with you, they run wild!"
"We're not twelve anymore, we're adults! At least Dad and Astoria treat us like that, you still act like we're Violet's age" Indie said looking as Jasper tried to settle the girl in his lap,
"Pass her here" Imelda said reaching for her little sister, "She doesn't like being held like that"
"Jasper is her father, he knows what he's doing, he's your step father a little respect wouldn't go a miss"
Jasper handed over Violet "She misses her sisters is all, it's fine"
"Can we get back to why you have a problem Elizabeth" Ginny started "Your daughter and my son have been seeing each other for years, there any reason why you weren't expecting this?"
"There too young"
"We're twenty years old!"James said starting to get angry and standing up, "We want this, no one else has a problem so we're going ahead with or without your approval"
"Don't you speak to me like that"
"Your going to be my mother in law we're not supposed to get a along get used to it!"
Indie stood up holding his hand, she pulled him into a kiss infront of everyone.
Harry laughed, Draco looked amused and Elizabeth picked up her youngest daughter and made her husband follow her out of the house.

"You look beautiful" Draco grinned and hugged her, "Really - so grown up and so so beautiful"
"Aww dad your gonna make me cry" She wiped a tear from his cheek and kissed it, "You know I love him, you know I'm happy - you know that because I have you as my daddy I have a real family"

They kissed to the cheers and James lifted his new wife into his arms to carry her laughing down aisle.
Ginny hugged Harry to her happily as they all watched "They'll be has happy as we are won't they?"
"Definitely"

The years passed and the wedding of Kaleb and Mel followed soon after there best friends and sisters. All was well in the each house hold and nothing brought more pleasure to any of the families then the pitter patter of tiny feet as a new editions joined the ever expanding households. Conflicts with family members were either resolved, forgotten and sometimes never forgiven but i leave you to make your own assumptions about the lives of four people brought together by fate, accident or birth rights. The daughters were no longer illegitimate, there families provided the home and belonging they had always craved and the love and loyalty of there two best friends and husbands brought them both eternal bliss.
