Chapter Thirty- Four

Harry nodded and the door was opened, the locks undone. He stepped inside wand drawn; the prisoner in a corner on a bed, his hair grew over his face hiding the torment of being locked up, day and night.

“Malfoy” said Harry warily,
“Potter” he said angrily. He flicked his hair away from his eyes to look at him, his hands chained to the wall in shackles, which clinked when he moved.
“I need you to tell me where Voldemort is” the name came from his lips directly; he didn’t want to avoid it anymore.
“Like I am going to tell you” Draco’s head moved, looking away his hair no longer shiny and glossy and his skin no longer perfect but worn and tired from lack of sleep.
“You have to, you freedom depends on it” He saw a flash of light across the figures cold grey eyes and disappear as quickly as it had come. “If you tell me, I will do everything I can to protect you and your family from the ministry and the order”
“Why would you do that? What has happened that has forced you to take pity on the likes of me?”
“Im going to die” He replied simply, and Draco looked up staring into his eyes, looking for the lies.
“Your not joking” he replied quietly, “And your ready for it” it was not a question but a statement,
“I am, because I’m going to die to save someone else”
“Weasley” Said Draco, Harry continued,
“Help me stop him, tell me where he’s hiding and you will be free to live your life”
“How can I guarantee my own safety?”
“You have my word, when I die he will to. We are linked, we share blood and I have a part of him in me that can only be gotten rid of when I die”
“How can I trust an enemy?”
“The same could be said for trusting you, but im ignoring it, as a fellow wizard help me save lives and stop him destroying more. Every second you wait, you hesitate not to tell me, she is closer to death and I’m further away”
Draco sighed, “How can you sacrifice your self like that? I don’t understand what goes through your head half the time Potter”
“It’s my fault she is in trouble, I have to right this mess, my problems are my own I don’t expect anyone understand but she does. She will understand why I have to leave her, why I do what I do and that im sorry” Said Harry putting a hand to his head and sighed, pacing the small cell floor.
“I couldn’t do it, that’s how I ended up in here in the first place, im selfish and it’s who I am”
“That’s your problem not mine, tell me where he is, where he would keep her?”
“I CAN’T RISK MY LIVE” Draco shouted suddenly.
“IT’S NOT JUST YOUR’S AT STAKE, DO SOMETHING GOOD FOR ONCE, HELP ME SAVE HER AND END THIS WAR” Harry shouted in reply, his patience wearing thin after the last argument with Aberforth and the guards. The door opened and Caleb stepped in, “It’s time to go Harry” he closed the door standing outside.
“DRACO TELL ME” Harry stood still, his wand lowered, “TELL ME WHERE”
“A manor that belongs to my family, not the main house but another no one else knows about. It’s in York but you can only apparate close by you won’t get in alive”
“He wants me alive for now” Harry said, “show me where” he took out an old English A to Z from muggle life and from his bag handing it to Draco.
Caleb looked at his watch, “Potter you have to go now” he shouted through the door to Harry
“One more minutes, let him find it”
“Here” said Draco pointing it out,
“Are you sure?”
“Yes” Harry took the book and looked before putting it away, hiding it from Caleb. “If it’s not and she dies, I will come for you, even as a ghost and I will torment you as long as you live”
“I’m certain you will” Malfoy replied and Harry left the door slamming behind him, the bolts locking back in place.

“Where is she?” said Molly, her eyes red and swollen,
“We do not know, Im so sorry Molly” Said Professor McGonagall, “We can only be sure that Harry has gone to find her”
“He has but…but what about the order, can’t they do something don’t they have any idea?”
“Im afraid not, any death eater brought into custody has denied knowledge of knowing where he is hidden, including Draco Malfoy and Vincent Crabbe”
“Harry will find her” said Ron quietly, “I know he will”
“Don’t be so silly Ronald, it’s his fault she’s gone, if she…if she… I will find him responsible and if he hasn’t been killed already I will do it” said Molly angrily
“If he dies, he’ll die trying to save her, I know him better then you do” Said Ron beginning to get angry again, not only with his own ignorance but his mothers as well.
“How will he know were she is Mr Weasley?”Cut in the professor, asking Ron before his mother could reply.
“It’s Harry; he’ll find away, he loves her” Replied Hermione for him.
“LOVE” Shouted Mrs Weasley, “IF HE LOVED HER HE WOULD HAVE STAYED AWAY FOR HER SAKE, SHE WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN TAKEN”
“I thought the same, until I saw his face, the pain…” Ron’s thoughts drifted off with his words as Professor Jacobs knocked and walked in.

“My contact at the prison, says Harry’s been there, he’s spoken to Draco Malfoy”
“Why would he?” said Hermione “… Of course, he knows where Voldemort is”
Molly looked up, “Does your contact know where as well or are we to rest our hopes on Harry?”
The professor looked angry as she replied, “Harry is more capable then you might think. You once treated him as family; don’t give up on him yet. My contact doesn’t know where Harry’s heading except its east of the prison, he only got a glance at the map and since Harry spoke to Draco, he won’t speak a word and is just staring at the walls”
“What did Harry do to him?” Said Hermione,
“Nothing, they just spoke, Draco can talk he’s just refusing to” Replied Willow, “Whatever he said, has changed him”
“You can’t change a Malfoy” said Arthur angrily “There evil to the core”
“They maybe, but whatever Harry said has had an affect on Draco to a certain degree”
“What do we do now?” said Molly anxiously,
“Im afraid it’s just a waiting game until the order find where he is and where Harry has gone, there is nothing we can do unless Harry makes contact or a death eater decides to talk”
“Can’t the ministry force them to; surely aurors can use some level of persuasion to get through to them” Said Arthur hopefully.
“I can promise you on behalf of the order, we’re doing all we can to get your daughter back”
“Why didn’t you get anyone to follow Harry from the Prison?” Said Ron looking up from his hands, firmly clasped around Hermione’s.
“He has his cloak, they couldn’t see him or where he went” Willow replied, “He’s being too careful for us to track him, there’s nothing we can do to find him with that cloak on magic or no magic” she sighed and leaned against Hermione’s chair. “Like I said we can only wait”
Mrs Weasley broke into fresh tears against her husbands already wet chest, while Hermione, Ron and both professors were consumed in thought about what to do now.

Ginny eye’s opened and she sat up. Her whole body cried out in fierce protest at the movement. She had been left on the floor, still tied up, her robes stained with her blood and her head spinning from the earlier attack. He was no where in sight and of course neither was her wand. She could make out the shape of a window on the wall, and the heavy wooden desk she had focused on before. She found a way to stand up, ignoring the pain and somehow made her way to the window looking out. It was bewitched, there was no way to get rid of it without her wand, and she sighed making her way back to the upturned couch. She sat on the back of it, now on the floor, and lent her aching head against the cushions closing her eyes just as he walked in.

“Miss Weasley” he moved past her to the window, he didn’t look her in the eyes as she opened them and glared at him, not returning his greeting.
“I don’t expect you to be willing to talk to me, but believe it or not I do still have a duty to my students”
“You haven’t been my teacher for nearly a whole year Snape, you became reinstated as a death eater remember”
“Don’t try my patience child”
“Don’t insult me by calling me a child, I know what you are and what you’re capable of doing, spare me the lecture and tell me when I’m going to die”
“If you die it will not be by my hand” he turned to face her looking guiltily at the wall behind her and not her face.
“Where is he? You know the big, bad boss; I want to speak to him and not his pet”
“The dark Lord cannot be summoned because you want to chat to him” Severus spat angrily.
“Isn’t that what your dark mark is for? Use it get him to come here and kill me, it will make Harry so angry and he’ll have a real fight, isn’t that what he wants” She smirked, “I mean an angry Harry is easy to posses I bet he’s easy to kill too”
“Don’t be foolish-”
“Foolish!” she laughed though her ribs were causing her to scream internally, “You call me foolish, when you’re serving at his right hand, helping him murder and torture innocent people. You should be ashamed, you trusted by Dumbledore till the day you killed him”
“I HAD TO YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND”
“I UNDERSTAND YOU’RE A COWARD SEVERUS SNAPE” she shouted in reply when the door swung open and Voldemort glided into the room. “Stop disturbing our guest Severus” He said placing himself behind the desk. Snape nodded and left as Voldemort studied Ginny carefully, his long white fingers interlaced with each other as he placed his hands on the desk top.

“Such a spirited young woman, I can see why he would pick you from the choice he had” He smirked as she sat in silence watching his moves, memorising what he did. “You will make a fine addition to my ranks or a pretty corpse for your family to bury with the worms. It is entirely your choice”
“What a fantastic choice, I have though I think I will prefer death to anything else you have to offer” her face remained stony, her gaze lay on his every movement as he opened the desk, looked at her or sat still.
“Would you like me to tell you how it felt in his body, to feel his emotions, a part of me inside of him that I can connect to and control him with?”
“Tell me why you do these things, why you kill and torture and destroy families”
“I will not explain my actions to the likes of you” he replied simply
“If im going to join you, I need to know your motivation”
“So you’d chose to sacrifice your life for his?” he smirked, his eyes glinting with evil.
“If I have to, I love him, something you’d never understand”
“I DON’T NEED LOVE, I HAVE THIS EMPIRE” He gestured to the window “I HAVE POWER, AND FEAR AND HUNDREDS AT MY COMAND” He stood up “LOVE IS A WORTHLESS EMOTION SHOWN BY THE WEAK TO TRY AND JUSTIFY THERE ACTIONS”
“Love’s what’s driving Harry to stop you, don’t you realise taking away anyone he has only makes him stronger, I bet you feel it when you’re in his body, and you don’t understand so you’re just disgusted”
“You know nothing!” he sneered and waved his wand sending her to a small room, bars on the door and cold stone floor. It looked like a dungeon, but she was more relieved to be here then thrown about his study again.

Wow, great posts. It seems as if what Harry said to Draco has him thinking. Maybe he'll have a change of heart after all. By Severus saying that he had to kill Dumbledore does that mean that he's actually a good person in your story, working on defeating voldie-butt and his gang of idiots from the inside of the organization? Chapter Thirty - Five (part one)

Harry made his way out side under the cover of his cloak and out of the magical protection of the prison. He raised his wand and concentrated on his destination. Malfoy Manor, Farley Drive,
York.

He looked at the expanse of grey stone in front of him, the sun shining over it though he was expecting clouds and thunder like the movies. But this wasn’t fiction, this was his life, this was her life at stake and he wasn’t going to let the girl he loved die for his stupidity. He walked forward wand drawn cautiously at the iron fence that surrounded it, and the large gates that protected the entrance. With death eaters at the door he knew that this gate would be protected magically, he would have to get through somehow.

He looked closely, if he identified himself they would let him in to face his death, if he snuck in there was more chance of being caught and she being hurt.

He was just about to pull off his cloak, when a figure strode out of the door. His hair as greasy as ever, his nose just as long and crooked and his robes jet black as always.

Chapter Thirty - Five (part two)

“The dark Lord has made his move, Potter will be expected in due time, be wary he maybe a boy but don’t underestimate him”

Harry couldn’t hear what was said, he was too far away. But in a rush of adrenaline through his system he yanked of his cloak, held his wand higher and shouted to him. “SNAPE” as a plan formed in his head.
“Potter” he replied muttering to the guards, “I’ll take care of him”

He waved his wand the gates opened and Harry walked in. He was consumed with rage; this betrayer has cost the greatest wizard of the age his life.
“Where is she?”
“You want me to tell you, surely you don’t think asking will make me give in?” he smirked raising his wand as if to duel, and his eyebrow to question Harry’s motives.
“It’s a new approach, I’d rather blast you to pieces but then someone will have to clean up such a greasy mess”
“You’re going to die Potter and so is she”
“I know I am, but she won’t, im not going to let it happen.”
“You think you can stop the Dark Lord? It’s either die or join him”
“I’d pick death any day, better that then becoming a murdering psychopath”
“Such a idiotic boy, there is more to serving my master then killing, its about creating a new world where we are above the likes of muggles, were we are recognised for what we are”
“So you go round killing our kind to help us, where is the logic in that Snape. Just tell me where he’s keeping her and then he can kill me”
“No”
“Then lets see how he feels being possessed, I mean this can’t be a one way system” He held his wand tightly, and focused “He has my blood, I have what’s left of his mangled soul, let him try and stop me” he felt his eyes close, himself fall to his knees but he never let go of his wand. He felt so much evil, so much pain he had to stop it was killing him but it wasn’t time yet. He screamed releasing the pressure inside, his face contorted in sheer suffering his fists clenched tighter and tighter, one around his wand the other on the blood stained bandage.

His eyes opened, “You hear that pain” he whispered, “He’s so evil, so dark I can’t possess him, he is only able to control my body because of he is a part of me” he stood up and looked in to Severus’s eyes, “You gave him a reason to tear my family apart, to take away my parents, your just as responsible for there deaths as Peter was”
His wand held steady in his hand, he was weakened but he was in control.

“I am responsible, I never rejected that honour” he smirked, “I was happy to mark you out, you get you and your father out of the picture” his face fell “But not Lily”
“DON’T YOU DARE SAY YOU LOVED HER” Harry shouted “SHE DISPISED YOU, SHE LOVED MY FATHER”
“You saw what your dear father was like when you invaded my thoughts; she was a fool for loving him when if she had been with me she would have lived”
“If you’re the reason for her to have lived, im glad she’s dead” Harry spoke, his voice filled with venom as his wand continued to aim at its target.
“Well she made her choice and lost her life”
Harry shot out he moved his wand so the bolt passed by Snape but hit the doors. The force of the explosion pushed Snape and the two death eaters to the ground, and there was nothing left of the door that once stood in the gaping hole.

“Petrificous totalus” he yelled pointing his wand at Snape. The two guards had been knocked unconscious by the force of the blast and he stepped over there bodies heading into the large stone manor not looking back.

“Draco has spoken?” said Willow anxiously passing up and down in front of her fireplace,
“Yes” said Caleb his head in the green flames “He says Harry’s gone to York, and he’ll need the orders help to get the girl out alive”
“Harry told him who was taken; he told him it was Miss Weasley”
“It looks that way”
“Do we know if Harry still has the link with Voldemort?”
“He was angry when he arrived, I looked out for the signs but he seemed normal, just angry as expected in this situation, sweetheart sit down and talk to me, or im coming out and im going to force you to”
“I can’t be calm Caleb; we both know what’s at stake here”
“Does Harry know?”
“No, I don’t think so but he’s getting closer and he’s smart enough to figure it out”

Chapter Thirty - Five (Part three, last part)

Hermione sat in the boy’s dorm with Ron, Neville and Dean.
“How can she be gone? How did he get into the school?” Dean said angrily his fisted clenched “Where’s Harry, this is all his fault”
“Shut your mouth Dean Thomas or I’ll do it for you” said Ron,
Neville spoke up to stop the argument “Harry won’t let her be hurt he’s gone after her hasn’t he?” he looked to Hermione and Ron who nodded.
“Then she’ll be fine, I’m sure of it”
“Don’t be so naïve Longbottom” Dean crossed his arms “He’s ran off to save his own skin, I would have seen all of this happen”
“You left them there, you made him angry enough to be possessed and able to have Voldemort take over his body and kidnap my sister” said Ron furiously, grabbing Dean shirt collar pushing him against the wall. “If anyone one is to blame it’s you” Said Ron calmly before letting go and sitting down next to Hermione.
“He was completely calm, there is no way this is my fault, he didn’t shout once and was just going on about how much he was sorry I couldn’t be with her but he could”
“Have you told this to McGonagall?” said Hermione looking up, “this possession could be different, they both might be in more danger now, if it’s not to do with Harry’s temper anymore”
“I haven’t said anything to anyone, I only found out she was taken a half hour ago”
“That would have been time enough for anyone else Thomas” Said Ron standing up, “Come on lets go and tell them and my parents any information will help” Hermione and Dean stood up, “You too Neville, your Harry and Ginny’s friend, you should know what’s going on to”
“They were in Professor Jacobs office before, do you think they will have gone since we left?” said Ron taking the lead down the corridor, “Maybe” Hermione replied “But since were the only students and the staff are the only others around they won’t be hard to find” she took his hand as they made there way to Willows office.

Hermione knocked as the green flames died and Caleb’s head disappeared. “Come in” she replied forcing her self to sit down and sit still, her face was worried and her small smile anxious as the four students walked in.
“What’s happened?” she looked immediately to Ron and Hermione.
“Nothing like that but Dean told us about the argument he had before the attack, he says Harry was completely calm and in control, he was angry but he kept himself in check”
“My source at the prison says the same, he kept an eye out for any thing different to do with the possession, but there wasn’t. He shouted at the guards and Aberforth in the hogshead but there was no attack”
“Prison what prison?” said Dean,
“A prison the Order is running to capture death eaters” Willow replied “Harry has been there to see a prisoner, the one he put in there”
“Who?” said Neville, Dean crossed his arms in disbelief.
“Draco Malfoy” said Ron, Hermione and Willow in reply.
“Why was it not in the prophet that Harry the hero caught a Malfoy?”
“Because of the Order you silly boy, what would be the point in capturing them only to give the death eaters a chance to realise what’s happening to there numbers and go after them” Said Willow sharply
Dean became quiet.
“There has been contact made from Malfoy, we know where Harry is going I have arranged aurors to the location and will now inform your parents and professor McGonagall of what’s happened. They’ll be back soon don’t worry” she grabbed a cloak from the stand, “Once I’ve told your parents I’m going myself to help, as your teacher and an auror im ordering you to stay here” he looked at Ron and Hermione directly before they had a chance to speak up and object. “Lets go, we’ve wasted enough time”

They followed her to the head masters office Hermione walked slower behind and spoke to Ron in a whisper, “I don’t think we can trust her anymore, something’s not right”
“Are you sure?" he replied
“Yes, she’s nervous about something but I don’t think what ever it will help Harry and Ginny. I don’t have proof so we can’t alert the rest of the order they won’t believe us”
“Then will have to follow her and sort it out ourselves” he held her hand tighter and they became silent as they entered the office.

“What’s happened?” said Molly immediately,
“We know where they are, we know where Voldemort is and there is a group of aurors going to the location now”
“If they just blast in there wouldn’t Harry and Ginny be in more danger?” said Arthur looking at the professor and adjusting the glasses on his nose,
“There are some risks taken for everyone’s sake not just there’s” she replied “With or without your permission im going to help them secure the area” she looked to the Professor,
“You have my permission to come back alive and bring the students with you” McGonagall replied watching her carefully, and sitting down at the desk as Willow walked out the door, wand in hand.
