A Wonderful Guy - Sa9+ I'm in Love With A Wonderful Guy Sa9+ This fanfic is based on one of my favorite musicals South Pacific. I will be writing from Ginny's point of view. Chapter one: Journal Entries 31 July 1997 "Dear Journal, Well, ever since Dumbledore's funeral, Harry and I decided to take it easy in our relationship. I will still think we are a couple but the thought of not seeing him is going to hurt this school year. Ron, Harry and Hermione are going to find a way to kill Voldemort. I hope that Harry will live through this, and I always hope that we will be married one day. Gin" "Ronald you jerk!" I cried with tears in my eyes, "You think that we broke up means that we can't see each other? You're wrong! It means that I can't write but I still love him and he still loves me. We broke it off for my safety!" "I didn't realized that part of the relationship," mumbled Ron clearly embarrassed about the entire situation. With that I ran from the room remembering the kiss I gave Harry for his birthday. At least Harry would remember me. "Ginny, what is wrong?" asked Dad, noticing my tears. "I just don't understand Ron, Dad. I mean while I was giving Harry his birthday gift, Ron barged into my room completely unannounced. Even my room is not sacred to me!" I cried. "Ron ought to have known better about your room. Did you invite Harry into your room, am I right? What did you two talk about? I know you broke up, but it doesn't mean you can't be a couple. And I know that you have a wonderful guy who loves you enough to put your safety first. He needs to do this, Gin, so that your children can grow up in peace. Does that make sense to you, Ginny?" Dad asked. "Yes, but my birthday gift to Harry was a kiss, so he can remember me," I said. "I hope Dad is right," I thought. |

Chapter Two: Ride To Hogwarts 1 September 1997 "Dear Journal, I miss Harry, Ron and Hermione here on the train. Of course, Ron and Hermione would be in the prefect's carriage. It looks like that Neville, Luna and I are going to continue the Dumbledore's Army since they disappeared from Bill and Fleur's wedding because of Death Eaters. Thankfully Kingsley warned us so that most of the guests can escape including the trio (Harry was in disguise!) I'm extremely upset that Scrimgeour died. The rest of our world was told that he resigned and Thicknesse took his place. Now I found out that Snape is Headmaster, this year is going to be strict. Gin" "Ginny, the lunch trolley is here, want anything?" asked Neville. "No, I don't want anything- thanks for the offer" I replied. "Gin, are you thinking of Harry?" Luna asked seriously. "Yeah, Luna, I miss him so much. Have you seen 'South Pacific' a muggle play?" I asked. "No," they both replied. "Well it's about an United States Navy Nurse and a French Plantation owner during the Muggle World War Two. I saw it with my dad. I really enjoyed it. One of my favorite songs is 'A Wonderful Guy'. I think it fits Harry so well,'' I replied. "Why did you break up?" Luna asked rather bluntly. "We broke up for my safety. You remember what happened to me in my first year?" I shot back. Boy do I remember, maybe it's why I refuse to write "Dear Diary" every time that I write in my journal. It was a diary that held me captive when I poured my soul in that book. Harry had saved me from a certain demise. My demise would of meant that Voldemort would have been back for nearly five years instead of two years. "Gin, I completely understand where you are coming from," Neville spoke up, "I was painfully shy, until Harry started the DA, my self-confidence in myself wasn't great, and Harry believed in me. I had to deal with Snape for a whole year longer than you have, but you were painfully shy around Harry, until Riddle took you into that Chamber. I could see that he had fallen for you big time." "Really, Neville, I had the pleasure of accompaining you to the Yule Ball nearly three years ago. I wonder why McGonagall didn't pick any prefects for Gryffindor?" I asked though with uncertainty. "I don't know. I heard that Dean went into hiding. Dean might be a half-blood, but I'm not sure why he said that he was a muggle-born?" Neville asked me because I dated him for a year, and it was common knowledge in the Gryffindor House. "He was brought up in a completely muggle house, he didn't say why, though," I replied, "We better get our robes on, Hogsmeade Station is about five minutes away.":r/hr: |

The Next Chapter Chapter Three: Questions Answered "Weasley, Longbottom, may I see you for a minute?" asked Professor McGonagall. "What is it?" both Neville and I inquired. "Prefect status. The main reason I didn't send the badges to your residence this summer was because the Death Eaters. Congratulations you two." McGonagall said, "This year the prefects had to be of pure-blood status. Between you and me, I think you understand that Professor Snape is the Headmaster. It's only temporary until You-Know-Who falls." "Thank you, Professor," Neville and I replied. "Good evening students" Professor Snape said icily, "I have been chosen to take Professor Dumbledore's place as Headmaster. There are two new teachers I need to introduce to you: Amycus Carrow will be teaching the Defence Against the Dark Arts snd his sister Alecto will be teaching Muggle Studies which are now required for everyone. Would all the prefects and the Head Boy and Girl please rise?" Besides Neville and I, there was Padma Patil and Ernie Macmillian from Ravenclaw, Susan Bones and Terry Boot from Hufflepuff , Gregory Golye and Millicent Bulstrode from Slytherin. The Head Boy is Draco Malfoy and the Head Girl is that unthinkable cow Pansy Parkinson. Thank goodness I don't have to report to her much, and by the looks on Susan and Padma's faces, they're mad as ever. After Snape dismissed us, Neville and I took the first years to the Gryffindor Common Room. "Boys please follow me," Neville said. I took the girls to their dorms. After the first years settled into their new surroundings, I met with Neville. "Why so few this year?" I asked out of curiosity, "I mean where are the muggle-borns?" "It looks like we can talk to Professor McGonagall in the morning. I noticed the Creevey Brothers are still here. Hey, Colin," Neville asked, "I thought you were muggle-born?" "Actually, my dad is a squib and my birth mother was a pureblood witch. The Ministry is checking our blood status before we came here. I mean, Dad works in the muggle world as a milkman, but when Umbridge asked Dad if he knew any magic, he said yes and filled out a form stating who were my grandparents are and if they were prue-blood. I think Percy checked to see if it was true. I was afraid that I couldn't come to school anymore. Both Dennis and I are lucky to come back." Colin said. "You-Know-Who must be channeling the spirit of Adolf Hitler. He hated the Jews but he was one himself," I piped up. Who was Adolf Hitler?" Neville asked. "Adolf Hitler was the dictatior of Nazi Germany in World War Two. I love learning about that era in our history," I said, "none of this coversation never leaves this common room." "Good night everyone," said Colin. "Good night, Colin," we said. Both Neville and I sat in front of the dying fire, thinking and wondering what the next day would bring.:faint: :r/hr: |

Hope You like This! Chapter Four: Tough Teachers 3 September 1997 "Dear Journal, This school year is tougher than expected considering we have two new teachers, The Carrows. McGonagall, Flitwick, Slughorn and Sprout all understand that we have a lot to deal with. In Dark Arts, we have to preform the Unforgiveable Curses on anyone who deserve it. That was Amycus. Alecto has been teaching us the Death Eater views on Muggles and Muggle-borns. Normally I don't critize my teachers but those two deserve it in this book. As a prefect I have to bite my tongue to keep myself from blurting out what she says are lies! I hope that the trio are all right, I wish I could write to the but I know I can't. For one thing, I don't know where to send it and two, if I did, the Death Eaters would've been all over them. I'll have to pray that they make it thorugh this alive. That is all I think of, to stay alive. Gin" "I'm as corny as Kansas in August, High as a flag on the Fourth of July, If you'll excuse an expression I use, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love with a wonderful guy!" I thought through out the Carrow Lectures. At least it kept me sane. I had a glassy eyed look, hey looks aren't everything, right? Then the bell rang signalling the class was over. Neville entered the classroom not realizing that Mr. Carrow didn't dissmiss us. "Ginny, are you thinking of that song again?" asked Neville as I was getting ready to leave for Charms. "Yes, why, you noticed my eyes, huh?" I inquired. "Class is not dissmissed," yelled Carrow, "Detention for you little brats!" "That slimy git," I fumed to Luna on our way to Advanced Charms. "What right does he have for putting us in detention because the bell rang! I'll talk to McGonagall tonight before supper." "Miss Weasley, what do I owe of this pleasure?" asked Professor McGongall. "I've been wondering why does the Carrows hate the other houses so much? I mean after the Dark Arts, the Gryffindors and the Ravenclaws were getting ready to leave since the bell rang, he gave us detention the entire class!" I explained to her. "Hmph. You, Neville, and Luna know what to do-restart the D.A." replied McGonagall. I look gob smacked at McGonagall, I thought she lost her gobstones! "Why so shocked, Ginny, normally I would tell you to do the detention and yell but your safety comes first," chuckled McGonagall at the look on my face, "Do thse coins still work?" "I think so, but, most of the members are either in hiding or have graduated last year, and they are not fool-proof," I replied. "Who created them?" McGonagall asked. "Who else but----" I started to say. "Hermione Granger! Of course!!" finished McGonagall. I might as well tell you all, this song is in the movie and the play South Pacific. The next post, will have Snape enjoying the muggle world! Here is my backstory on Snape. His Father treated Snape pretty well before the age of seven and took Severus to see the play! Arthur and Ginny had a Father/Daughter date once a month before Gin started Hogwarts! Enjoy!:faint: |

I kept my promise, didn't I?! Chapter Five: Failed Attempt 15 October 1997 "Dear Journal, Well, our plan almost worked. I knew that Dumbledore had given Harry the Sword of Gryffindor in his will, and I told Neville about it, we ended coming up with a plan to get the sword to the trio. We managed to get the sword but ran into Snape! At least he was calm with us three, we received detention with Hagrid and I was banned from Hogsmeade. He said that he knows that the sword goes to Harry but he didn't know where to send it. The sword we tried to "steal" was a duplicate! I totally forgot that Snape is in the Order, and Dumbledore explained it to me (without Snape being in the room) that Snape is good and asked him to kill him, it was either that or die a horrible death from a curse that was placed on a ring, (he explained what a horcrux is to me). I asked if Neville and Luna can be included in the plan and he said yes! He also said that Luna and I were destined to fight in the final battle that was who knows when. Harry once told me that his parents were murdered by Voldemort on All Hallows Eve and he survived the Killing Curse because of his mother's sacrifice. It has been nearly sixteen years and I had hoped that they watched him grow up in heaven. If Harry and I ever get married and have children, I'm going to name them after his parents. Gin" "There is not going to be a Halloween feast this year." said Professor Snape. After we ate, Snape asked for the new trio (Luna, Neville and I) to follow him to an empty classroom. "What did we do?" I asked him, "I don't understand that us three were to follow you here." "I'm thinking of having a muggle play 'South Pacific' being performed here. Just the Ravenclaws, Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs for all but two teachers. Not even the Slytherins are to participate. The Carrows are the devils children after all. Would you consider it?" Snape asked. "Yes! Forgive me, sir, but that is my favorite play! Actually I keep thinking of a song to keep me from blurting out in Alecto's class." I replied. "What song is that, Miss Weasley?" Snape inquired. "A Wonderful Guy. It's sung by Ensign Nellie Forbush, a Naval nurse," I fired off the top of my head, "She sings about Emilie De Becque, a plantation owner on an island where the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps are stationed." "Ginny, you are playing Nellie Forbush. Neville you play Joe Cable, and Luna you play Bloody Mary." he said, "I saw the play myself and it is one of my favorites as well." "Professor, we need to hold auditions to find the rest of the cast, like Jerome,Ngana, Billis, the Enlisted Men(U.S. Navy), the nurses the Commanding Officer, the Executive Officer, the butler, Emilie and Liat" I rplied. "I understand. Our little secret?" Snape said with a wink. "Aye, Aye, sir!" we replied naval style. "See you in the morning, Luna," Neville and I said together. :faint: :faint: |

Chapter Six: The Auditions After the auditions, both Neville and I had made our decisions and posted the Gryffindors list on the Bulletin Board. South Pacific Cast- Gryffindor House Ginny Weasley-----------------Ensign Nellie Forbush Neville Longbottom-------------Lt. Joe Cable, USMC Demelza Robins----------------Liat Dennis Creevey----------------Jerome Colin Creevey------------------Harbinson, XO Seamus Finnigan---------------Henry Rest of the House will be the nurses and enlisted men. Thank you for trying out!!! "I hope 'Bloody Mary' doesn't have any trouble casting the rest of the cast," I commented to Neville who agreed with me. "I actually asked Ernie to play Emilie, and Zacharius to play Luther Billis," Neville said casually. "No problem, Neville. Time for breakfast. Want to go to the 'Mess Hall'?" I asked. "Aye Aye ma'am" Neville saluted me. "At ease, 'Cable'!" I ordered him. Chapter Seven: The presentation of South Pacific After two months of rehersals in the Room of Requirement, which resembled an actual South Pacific island, complete with props, costumes and sets. The day before we left for holiday, we presented our play to the other houses and teachers. Professor Snape awarded each house 300 points for a job well done. That wasn't all, he ended up saying something that shocked us all! "Have a great Holiday everyone and we will see you in January." We left the Room in groups of three making sure that the Carrows and the Slytherin House didn't see us. :r/hr: |
