Hi, This is my first FF... Please be truthful... Or brutal... =]
This is set in Harry's fifth year. Just after the battle in the Department of Mysteries, just so you know.


'Tap tap tap’ sounded throughout Harry’s bedroom at Number Four Privet Drive. Looking round from the desk, Harry saw a miniature owl sitting on the window sill. Getting up to open the window, Harry glanced at the alarm clock he had repaired a few years ago. It was 11:30.
As pig flew into the room, he dropped Ron’s letter onto Harry’s bed, then started to zoom around the ceiling lamp. Harry picked up the envelope and opened it to find three pieces of parchment. Pulling them out, he saw that each one was a letter addressed to him. Unfolding the first one he read:

Harry,
You won’t believe what’s just happened!! Mums said that you can come here two weeks earlier than usual! Hermione’s already here, Fred and George told me to warn you that they have created a new line of sweets and that they need someone to test them on and Bill and Charlie are gonna be here a week after you arrive so they’ll be in Percy’s room.
Make sure your ready by Wednesday and don’t let the Muggles get to you…
Ron
Laughing at the fact that he would be avoiding anything Fred and George gave him, he placed Ron’s letter on his pillow and unfolded the second letter. Noticing that this one was from Hermione, he started to read.

Dear Harry,
Ron may have told you but Mrs Weasley has said that you will be here at the Burrow a few weeks earlier than planned! I do hope your okay, as Fred and George seem to be waiting for you to test their new products… if I was you, I’d be VERY careful! Everyone can’t wait to see you but I think that there’s one person in particular that wants to see to you…
Well, hope your fine and can’t wait to see you Wednesday,

Harry placed this letter on the pillow next to Ron’s thinking about what Hermione had said… someone in particular… What did she mean by this? Did she mean what he thought she did? Unfolding the last letter, Harry didn’t recognize the handwriting.

Dear Harry,
I hope that you’re okay and that the Muggles are treating you good. I know that everyone asks you that question and you must be bored of it but… anyway, I know Ron and Hermione have already mentioned this, but mum says that you can come over two weeks earlier than planned! This means that you’ll be here for your birthday! I think mums already planning something so I’ll watch it… also Fred and George are planning something as well. All I know is that it involves you and sweets…
Anyway, I’m really looking forward to Wednesday and cant wait to see you…

Oh, I forgot to mention that each post will be a chapter... So, chapter two

Harry stared at the last two words. ‘Love Ginny… Love…’ Shaking head, Harry said to himself “She’s over you mate, she’s with dean… Get over it… She doesn’t like you anymore…” Picking up the other letters, Harry walked to the desk and started to write the replies.

MEANWHILE…
Everything at the Burrow was the same… Mrs Weasley was running round trying to control the twins, who were planning their attack on Harry when he arrived.
Ron and Hermione were helping Mr Weasley round up the chickens which were scattered all over the yard and the Ghoul was breaking the occasional silence by dropping the pipes. The only person who wasn’t seen was Ginny.
Ever since Monday morning when Mrs Weasley announced that Harry would be arriving on the Wednesday next week, Ginny had been in her room, just sitting on her bed looking out the window at the sky thinking.
The Saturday before Harry was arriving, Ron and Hermione were writing to Harry to tell him what had been happening, and Harry had replied to them instantly. Without anyone knowing, Ginny had written her own letter and slipped it into the envelop with the other two before they were sent off with Ron’s owl, Pigwidgeon.
As Sunday morning rolled through, Ginny was woken by a soft tapping at her window. Turning to look, she saw a snowy owl sitting on the ledge. Jumping up, Ginny ran to the window to open it so that Hedwig could soar in the window. Hedwig landed on Ginny’s pillow and held out her leg. There, rolled into a scroll, was a letter addressed to her.
Pulling it off and un- rolling it, Ginny saw that it was from Harry.

Well... I have nothing left to do so i'll treat you...

Ginny,
Thanks for your letter, yeah the Muggles are the same as usual, they still think that I might turn them into bats though… Yeah I didn’t think about that… My birthday isn’t really celebrated here, it’s normally forgotten. As for Fred and George, Ron’s already warned me about the new sweets so I’m accepting nothing they put down in front of me, or I could hex them… Tell your mum that I don’t want anything too big, although she might not listen to me… Tell me… has Ron asked Hermione to talk to him privately yet?? If he hasn’t, tell him to get a move on. Don’t worry, I’ll tell you what it’s about when I get there Wednesday.

Ginny stood there by the bed staring at the letter in her hand. Why hadn’t Harry put her letter in with Ron and Hermione’s?? And why had it been delivered to her window and not the kitchen like every other letter…
Walking over to her desk, Ginny ran her hand absent mildly through her hair. Opening a drawer on her desk, she placed Harry’s letter on top of the photo album and shut the drawer again. Sitting at the desk, Hedwig fluttered over to let Ginny stroke her back.
“Hedwig, I don’t know how to tell him… And I’m scared that if I tell him he won’t feel the same way…”
Ginny sat there stroking Hedwig and looking out the window. She thought about Wednesday and how she would be able to tell him without letting everyone else know… How would she be able to do this?
On the other side of the house, Ron was sitting in his orange furnace of a room thinking as well. But instead of thinking about how to let his feelings out, Ron was thinking about their last year at Hogwarts. He knew that Harry wasn’t over Sirius’s death and that it wouldn’t be easy for Harry to admit this.

Oh my gosh. I'm so in love with this story. I love Harry/Ginny storyies. I so can't wait for more please post more soon.

As Ron laid his head on his pillow, Hermione walked in. Sitting down on the end of the bed, she looked at Ron.
"Whats the matter?" she asked him as he stared at the ceiling.
"I was thinking on how to get Harry to talk about what happened at the Ministry last week... I know i haven't seen him but i have a feeling that he thinks its his fault." Ron replied, still not looking at Hermione but focusing on a patch of light on the ceiling next to a Chudley Cannons poster.
"What makes you so sure about that?" Hermione sounded shocked as she asked this.
"I dunno. I know Harry well enough though and I'm sure he blames himself for what happened to Sirius."
But before Hermione could answer, Ginny had walked into the room and sat herself down on the other side of Ron's bed.
"Did you two get any replies from Harry?" she asked not looking at Hermione.
"Yeah, we did... Why?" Hermione asked sounding amused.
"Well, its just that before Errol had delivered the letters you wrote, I sneaked my one in to the envelope and his reply has just arrived." She started, avoiding Hermione's eye. "I think there's something wrong though... It doesn't sound like Harry wrote it and it doesn't mention anything about the Ministry..." She finished, now looking at Ron for his reaction.
"Ron thinks Harry blames himself for Sirius's death Ginny. Thats why Harry doesn't seem his- self... Don't worry, our replies were the same." Hermione reassured her.

Sorry thats all i can write at the mo... im on work experience and it was lunch so i thought that i'll post...

Back at the Dursleys, Harry had awoken by the same dream he had had for the last week.
Sirius was sitting in the department of Mysteries being tortured by Voldemort. Then the room changed and Harry watched as his godfather fell backwards through the Veil and out of sight. Harry ran forwards and felt someone grab his arm. Turning around he saw Voldemort. ‘It’s your fault Harry, He came here because of you’ he would say. Harry would feel a pain in his scar and close his eyes, only to see Ginny in the distance when he opened them again. He would reach out to her but she was always just out of reach.
Then Harry would wake up and wonder what some parts of the dream meant. Looking up at the chart on the wall next to his head board, Harry saw that it was Wednesday and that Mr Weasley was going to be picking him up at some point today.
Harry had started packing his trunk the night before but had it was only half done. Littered around the floor was a pile of robes next to the desk and scattered books which he hadn’t been bothered to look for.
Getting out of bed, Harry glanced at the clock on his bedside table. The luminous numbers told Harry that it was 7 o’ clock in the morning.

This is brilliant! I'm sorry I haven't seen it earlier, I've just been extremely busy and haven't had a chance to check. I love this story!!! Definitely subscribing to this.... Jemma xxx

The trip to number 4 Privet Drive was long and tiring. Mr Weasley had waked Ron, Ginny, Fred and George up earlier than normal so that they could reach Harry’s by 10.
With much yawning and moaning, they were only a few miles away. As Mr Weasley glanced at the clock on the dashboard, which read half seven, Ron started moaning again.
“Why does Hermione get to stay back at home and we have to come and get Harry? It’s not fair… I could still be asleep”
“Ron, please give it a rest already… your not the only one who’s tired. Look at Ginny, she’s fallen asleep again.” Fred said with a hint of impatience in his voice.
Ginny had, once again, fallen asleep with her head resting on the window. Just like before, the car past over a speed bump and she awoke with a start.
“Are we there?” she said hopefully. She didn’t want to fall asleep in the car again and she wanted to see Harry.
“Nearly there, we should be at the top of the road… yes I can see the sign post now.” Mr Weasley said, pointing at the corner.
As Harry walked downstairs, he could hear a car driving down the road. Na, it can’t be them. It’s only just turned 10 and they live all the way on the other side of the country. Harry told himself as he sat down in the living room. But as he picked up the remote control for the television, he heard the familiar sound of a car pulling in to the driveway.
Getting up and looking out the window, Harry saw five people getting out of the car. Each one had fiery red hair and only one of them was a girl. Ginny’s here… Harry thought to himself, a smile spreading across his face.
Entering the hallway, there was a knock on the door. There on the door- step was five of the nine Weasley’s.
“Hi, I wasn’t expecting you to be here this early. It’s just turned 10.” Harry said moving aside to let them in. Mr Weasley stepped over the threshold and smiled at Harry.
“Well, we got up early so that we would be here by ten, as Molly is preparing a special lunch for us in your occasion.” He said as Ginny followed her brothers into the living room and passing behind her father, turning nearly as red as her hair when Harry smiled at her.

Wow ! That was FAST ! *hugs you like whoa!*

New one ... NOW ! *poof* 'kay , I'll be able to wait a little . but not more than 30 min.

“Well, I’m glad that I had everything packed last night then.” Harry said smiling. “I’ll go get my trunk then and bring it down. It’s alright by the way. The Durlsey’s off visiting Aunt Marge in the country- side. They won’t be back until the first day of term.” He said, assuring Mr Weasley that it was okay to stay in the house for a while. As Harry passed Ron, he gestured that he could follow him.
“So, how you been…” Ron said nervously, as though expecting Harry to hit him for asking.
“Same as usual, the only difference is that I don’t have to put up with Dudley and that I have the run of the house. You?” Harry answered, not looking at Ron. He knew that Ron meant how he was coping after everything that happened at the Ministry.
“Well, it’s a bit different since what happened at the ministry, you know. Mum won’t let it go that we went there without letting anyone know and that you were so brave by taking control. And it doesn’t help that the Burrow seems to be the new Head Quarters…” Ron’s voice trailed of as he helped Harry carry his trunk down the stairs.
Back in the living room, Mr Weasley was playing with the television remote and Ginny was watching Fred and George play a game of exploding snap, which left burn marks in the carpet.
As Harry and Ron entered the room, Mr Weasley had figured out that he could change the channel on the TV. Ron sat down in the chair and Harry sat down in the only available seat left, on the couch next to Ginny.
“How have you been Gin?” Harry asked as Fred placed a 10 on the pile and it blew up in his face. Ginny turned a brilliant shade of pink before answering.
“Oh… Er… Okay. It’s been difficult you know, mum keeps questioning me about what happened at the ministry and saying that I was too young to go but I told her that I was a member of the DA and that I had the right to go.” She said, looking up at Harry.
“Right… I see that your ankle’s fine now then?” Harry said looking back at her and changing the subject. Why did he have to go red now?
But then there was a loud bang from somewhere above them and everyone looked up.
“Er, Harry did you leave anything up stairs?” Ron said, staring at the ceiling.
“Oh yeah, ‘coz with a sound like that Harry must of left a bomb upstairs Ron” Fred said as he made his way over to the door of the living room, drawing in wand on the way. George followed him.
“Dad, there’s people up stairs.” George told his father looking round to see up the stairs.
“Everyone out now. Get in the car. We’re going.” Mr Weasley said in a rushed whisper.

As the Weasley’s and Harry had reached the front door, there was a voice from upstairs.
“He’s not here… Dumbledore must have moved him already…” The voice sounded familiar to Harry, but he couldn’t place it. He opened the door and everyone filed passed him. As Ginny passed him, Harry went to move towards the stairs.
“Harry,” Ginny whispered, grabbing his hand. “No, come on, get in the car. Please.” She said looking him in the eye with a stare that made Harry’s heart miss a beat. Ginny was scared for him, and he was about to go up to a room full of Death Eaters.
“Okay Gin, I’ll get in the car.” Harry said, squeezing her hand slightly and letting him- self be dragged away from number 4 Privet Drive and into the car. Mr Weasley started the engine and Harry glanced out his window to look at the house.
It looked perfectly normal and Harry couldn’t see how they had entered the house. Ron seemed to be thinking along the same lines because as they rounded the corner he said:
“Dad, how did they get in if there’s no damage to the house and Dumbledore put that Anti- Aparating spell to the house?”
“I don’t know Ron, but let’s not talk about it now…” Mr Weasley said as he twiddled the steering wheel to the left. Harry sat back in his seat and shut his eyes thinking. How did the Death Eaters get in without passing the living room door, Aparating or blowing a hole in the roof?

Chapter Nine isn't quite finished in my opinion but if you like it tell me and i will carry on.

Ginny was watching Harry out the corner of her eye. He had wanted to go upstairs and sort things out, but he had listened to her and let her pull him away… Why though? Said the small voice in the back of her head. What made Harry choose between her or the Death Eaters? She copied Harry by closing her eyes and thinking to herself.
Harry opened his eyes and turned his head towards Ginny. What made him change his mind? All he could remember was that he wanted to go upstairs but Ginny had grabbed his hand. The moment her hand touched his, Harry had felt a shock of warmth spread from her hand up his arm. As Harry watched Ginny on the seat next to him, he noticed that her eyes weren’t closed properly. He looked away quickly as she turned her head towards him slightly.
Ginny had spotted Harry watching her and smiled to herself when he turned away. But then the little voice in the back of her head came round again. Ahh, you think he likes you, don’t you? But how can you be so sure? Remember, you thought he liked last year but it turned out he liked Cho… and you’re with Dean so he thinks you don’t like him.

Harry had his own little voice in the back of his head. ‘You like her, don’t you? Why don’t you tell her…? Ahh, I forgot, she doesn’t like you. She likes Dean. Get over it now.’ Shaking his head, Harry started to talk to Ron about what had been happening over the last couple of weeks. Then conversation turned to the main story of the Prophet this morning.
“Yeah, but how do we know that this minister isn’t going to do what fudge did and pretend that Voldemort- Ron, get over it already.” Harry said, as Ron winced at the sound of the name. “Carrying on then, that he isn’t back and that I’m just making it up?” Harry finished. Earlier that morning, Harry had read that Fudge had been sacked and that the Wizarding community had a new minister. Someone called Rufus Scrimgeour. The picture gave Harry the idea that this minister was a lot different from Fudge. Instead of having a broad smile on his face, Scrimgeour had a kind of rough look about him.
“Maybe, but it doesn’t sound like it though does it? In that article, it said that he has placed extra security around Hogwarts and Hogsmeade so that we’re all safe.” Ron said, with the air of proving a very difficult point. Mr Weasley turned his head so that he could talk to them.
“So, Harry, you think that Scrimgeour isn’t cit up to do the job? Everyone else thinks he is, that’s why he got the job. He was the head of the Auror department so that makes him extremely well known to the Dark Arts and how to fight them.” Mr Weasley pointed out.


Sorry about the wait... coursework and work experience is so annoying!!

Sorry it's taken me so long to read your story but I have caught up with it and it's quite good. Can't wait to see where it goes.
