Year Five • The Fifteen Day Aparecium Challenge •
Come jam out with me as I make some dedications to some of my favourite songs!

Hey, guys! :hello: A very warm welcome to my 2026 Seektober thread!

Usually, I’d take part in the full 30-day challenge, but life has gotten significantly busier lately so this year I’ll be taking on the Aparecium 15-day challenge instead!

Almost immediately after wrapping up last year’s Seektober, a new idea started forming in my head. This time around, my graphics creations - and yes, I still consider myself a newbie at this  - will revolve around songs that hold a special meaning for me. You might notice quite a few songs from the early 2000s making an appearance, because, well... that particular era is one I will always be a LOT emo about.

PS: Don’t expect me to give too lengthy an explanation as to why each song is special to me. A lady never reveals all of her secrets, after all. ;)

I hope you enjoy the creations that follow, and maybe even find a few songs that bring back some memories of your own! Or you discover some new ones!

This is my sixth time participating in Seektober and I will be doing the Aparecium challenge again, choosing the prompts I'm most inspired by. Sometimes I do a lot of mental gymnastics to get from the prompt to the idea for the piece so I hope you have fun trying to follow my train of thought. Might also include the outfit challenge depending on inspiration and time.

I usually stick with traditional art but might throw in a few graphics if the mood strikes. I have a very short window in the day where I can focus on art and I might be doing Inktober as well so I'm just going to see what works for me on any given day.

Choose your favorite Animagus form from the series or the animal you think your own Animagus form would be, then create an outfit inspired by it! Think about colors, textures, patterns, silhouettes, accessories, or even the overall vibe of the animal and turn those ideas into a look.

And there are plenty of ways to create your outfit! You could:

• Make a fashion collage using images you find online — consider this your chance to pay homage to the glory days of Polyvore!
• Draw or sketch the outfit, whether on its own or modeled by an original character.
• Sew, knit, crochet, or otherwise make the outfit if you have the means.
• Create it digitally using graphics or illustration.
• Or interpret the challenge in any other creative medium you can think of!

There are no rules about how literal your interpretation has to be. Have fun with it and get creative!

Share your design in this thread by the end of Seektober to receive a special shiny accolade :eyebrows:

for the seekers of creativity among us

:sscrest:

In 2009, illustrator Jake Parker began with a simple concept and challenge to himself: each day in October make a drawing in ink. This simple concept has evolved into the worldwide endeavor that unites thousands of artists from around the globe known as Inktober. Inspired by this creative challenge and with our own wizarding world twist, Snitchseeker’s Gladrags Wizardwear forum is pleased to bring to you Seektober!

Just as is the spirit of Inktober, Seektober is a challenge to improve upon your own individual artistry, help discover your own style, stretch your creativity a little, and just have fun creating.

How do you participate? All you have to do is create! :haspencil:

No matter your creative process or whatever you want to hone your skills in (whether that be colored pencils, watercolors, acrylic paint, digital art, graphic making, calligraphy, typography, sculpting, and beyond), these prompts are open to your interpretation. There are only right ways to participate here!
