Default Staff Table

Standing on a raised dais to the far side of the ballroom is the table housing the school staff. It's a night of extravagance and excellence within the newly decorated ballroom of Beauxbatons. A gentle music floats through the room played by wood nymphs, just loud enough to be soothing without drowning out the little pockets of conversation here and there. Occasionally, a song will begin; a waltz more often than not with the odd dance music slipping in. The table cloths have been laid and straighten to perfection--do mind that you don't tug or displace them.

The table is fitted with it's own wares; goblets, ceramic plates with intricate designs, pitchers of both water and and chilled pumpkin juice. There is to be no roughhousing at the ball. The Headmaster may have convinced Desmarais to allow the ball for Hogwarts students but the Headmistress still has every intention of having a serene evening as she graciously bids you farewell.

You are welcome to speak with the staff once the speech has been given, but do remember they've had just as long a day and will be grateful for time to enjoy their meals. For now, enjoy the ball!

Who has two thumbs, awful lilac dress robes, and is sitting at the CORRECT seat this time??? That's right! It's Finneas Schmoe! Professor of Muggle Studies and professional awkward human being. J boppin' around. Swayin' to the beat. Enjoying his view from the raised dais. This year was truly one for the books. While it would be quite bittersweet to leave his students for the summer, Schmoe was quite excited to go home to Alina.

Anyway, AnYwAy, ANYWAY.

Who made this playlist? It was truly F I R E (as kids say these days).

The healer was pleased that they had managed to arrange a ball for the children after all the trouble of the term. The ballroom was lovely and it was nice that they had it all to themselves too. Lovely seeing the children (including her own!) dressed up and smiling, though it was a shame there were a few that seemed determined to have a bad time. Still, this was the feast and as with all feasts, they could simply sit and wait for the speech and eat their fill if they weren't inclined towards dancing. She hoped she'd get to cut the proverbial rug a little herself, but more than that she hoped that there wouldn't be any medical emergencies that might cut her own feast/ball experience short, as had been the pattern so far during her time working for Malachi Trent.

For now though, Carmine Beryl was content to simply sit and observe as people began to trickle in.
