Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

Who would have thought that the entrance to the training arena...was through a closet? It was genius--if not a little curious. She'd have never thought, in fact Alexa would have walked by day after day searching for the arena and would never have known if Sabel hadn't told her. Epic dude he was, even more epic for agreeing to a duel with her.

Make no mistake, Lex didn't expect to come and completely blow him away, not at all. This was the Ministry and he was presumably good at his job. If she DID win, she'd be really concerned and would probably bring these concerns to Rainey because...yeah...you know things are bad when someone fresh out of Hogwarts beats a trained Auror who's presumably taken down criminals and is not an ex-convict unfortunately.

At the same time, she knew what she was doing, yeah? It was just dueling and there were particular spells she'd done her best to nail. "Fancy setup..." Her eyes wondered about the derelict building as she stepped inside. "Should provide plenty of cover." Which worked well for the young woman who'd never taken tremendous time to strengthen her shields.

Sabel was begining to wonder if he would have to poke the young woman to keep her moving. She seemed utterly fascinated with the broom cupboard, for reasons beyond his understanding. Maybe it was a thing. Maybe it was a Hogwarts thing. He didn't know and he wasn't going to ask.

He was just relieved she kept moving. Stepping out of the space behind her, Sabel closed the door and glanced around. Well hadn't they just made it charming in here? Walking over to one of the walls, Sabel rapped his knuckles against it. Sturdy and solid. His eyes went to Alexa, a small smile on his lips. "Cover, huh?"

Surely he wasn't the only one that saw the environment as an extra tool to use. No, he was certain this one had some creative ideas up her sleeves. It would be interesting to see what they were teaching kids these days.

"So, close your eyes and count to ten?"

"Yup, cover." Brilliant cover and brilliant added material all in one. Rainey knew what he was doing, or maybe it was his predecessor. Zeke always spoke highly of Emily and there had to be even a little truth in it.

Having turned as he was tapping at the wall, she figured the sound it gave off proved it to be sturdy. Not that much a problem. She'd blown through things of roughly the same density before and expected this to be no different. All it took was power and intent to blow a hole through one of these suckers or have them crumbling down on an opponent. Sabel could take care of himself, this wouldn't be like one of her other duels with whiny complainers who kicked her in the shin for non-verbals and explosions that helped her win.

Funny how she might end up shin kicking now and if she did she would have to owl Dima, tell him he had the right idea all along.

His suggestion had her head shaking faster than Merlin knew what. "Not even. You might hit ten faster than I do and anyway how do you know I'm honourable enough to count all the way to ten before you do?" Serious question. Lex wasn't a cheat but Dark Wizards were. "I say we each turn and walk ten steps away," To put a little more space between them, "face each other, bow then we fire." Because then it was just a matter of who took an eternity to get the niceties of the duel out of the way. This was how they were taught and this was how she would do it.

Sabel's smile faded slowly as he watched the young woman. His reasons for agreeing to the duel were twofold. The first was transparent and the reason why anyone agreed to a duel. Practice. The second one, was less known to him. He'd never been in a position to train anyone before, not for very long anyways. And whether or not that was something which Alexa wanted at the moment, he was going to do his best to use the opportunity as a learning curve. It would be irresponsible of him not to share some of things he had learned, and in combat was one of the best mediums for it.

That didn't mean he was looking forward to it though. Just as much as playing the convict had unnerved him, so did this. If he wanted this session to be productive, he couldn't duel her as Sabel Dakest. He had to duel her as someone else, as a reflection of those on the other side of the law. Otherwise, there was no point. Otherwise, she would learn nothing about what their job entailed, until she was thrown into a situation.

And coming out from that alive, was never a sure thing. Here at least, it was.

He might have laughed at her half-innocent suggestion on how to start the duel, but his thoughts had him regarding her quietly, with only a hint of a smile. Damien would have laughed at him had he said something similar, Wes definitely and Van maybe. But he was none of those people, nor did he have the years under his belt that afforded them that right.

At least, she wasn't completely naive about things.

That being said, it was one thing to know one's own habits, and another thing completely to expect habits from another person. "How do you know I was even going to count?" It was as fair enough of a warning as he was going to give her as he moved into the center of the hallway they were situated in.

"Shall we, then?"

The years had taught Lex not to appear eager in a duel, even when she was--something she supposed she could thank Dora for. The then Ravenclaw had been the one to point out it gave away her position and made her that much more predictable so for the most part, all bouncing and fidgety movements were kept under control.

Were they starting this thing or not?

Alexa made a face at his question, figuring he was only proving her point. "Exactly. No one plays by the rules out there and you didn't even have to hit one before you started firing so we're NOT doing it that way." Especially not when she wasn't that great at defending. Granted she had brilliant reflexes honed by many years of playing Beater and avoiding bludgers but the proximity would have worked against her for sure so she was glad he'd humour her about how they would start.

"Yup." They could get started. Lex headed in the opposite direction, counting the steps as she did, on ten, she turned and bowed figuring he would do the same.

Even though he didn't show it, he was impressed. Not too many YATI's started out with that mindset, especially not on their first duel in the program. He certainly hadn't. Honor had been something he'd been adamant in upholding, even in fighting. The sentiment still existed, but only to a certain extent.

At the very least, her fascination with criminals had taught her something useful.

He shrugged at her sentiment and as she turned, he turned about himself. He only took five steps before slipping off down and adjacent corridor, enshrouding himself in a disillusionment charm. Time undercover had afforded him the skills necessary to move quietly and discretely, and here in the training room it was second nature. Broken glass was avoided, creaky boards were traversed carefully and rickety stairs were ascended with care.

At the top of the stairs, Sabel paused, glancing over his shoulder and listening. There was a good chunk missing out of the floor of the hallway up on the second level, with a narrow walkway around it, providing an ample view of the empty room below. Withdrawing his wand, Sabel cast a sticking charm on the second, fifth and seventh steps up before moving to take up a position on the other side of the broken floor.

And then it happened.

Alexa had bowed like they said you should in a duel, fulfilling one of the requirements but when she looked up there...was no Sabel...

What the kneazle??

For the first moment, Lex stood there blinking and looking around. The dirty creep. All righteous and 'holier than thou' until it could benefit him! Well if he didn't want a proper duel he should have said so. That way, at least she'd be well within her right to fire at his butt the moment they entered through the closet. Lost chance now with him GONE. Bloody brilliant.

She looked around the ruin before her, not sure where she would start until she finally decided to eliminate her options as she went along. "Expulso!" Bright, explosive light shot from her wand taking out a large chunk of a wall and sending it crumbling. Nope, he wasn't over there. "Expulso!" Shot at another section of the space she occupied. If he was hiding she was going to reduce the places he had to hide.

This was how she went through that floor, until she came to the staircase leading up. Having blown up half the first floor, she was willing to bet he had to be up there, as confirmed when she hit the fifth step and found she couldn't move. He'd definitely been here. Alexa unstuck herself with an effective 'avexis' but stayed there deciding he would come to her as opposed to going up blindly. "Didn't reckon you'd be fighting a cowards fight!" She yelled up to the next room. "If you were scared, all you had to do was ask me to go easy on you."

Truth be told, the first explosion made Sabel flinch. His head whipped towards the sound and he debated going over to check it out, in case it wasn't something to do with their duel. But he was fairly certain he had heard a young woman's voice just before it. So he waited, listening until another explosion came. Much closer this time.

What in Merlin's beard....?

It was coming closer, and closer. Perhaps this was a new scenario set up by Rainey? Well, that would make things interesting. He took a few steps back from the opening in the floor before him, just in case those explosions took out what was left of the floor.

By the time the explosions stopped, the silence was a heavy sound. It didn't last long though, frustration and taunts put all the pieces of the puzzle together. Had he gone and made her mad? Seemed like. Apparently the lesson hadn't yet sunk in. He wasn't fighting her as himself, there was no point in that. There was no point in getting the expected.

He stayed where he was, listening to her words and discarding them, letting a minute, two, three and five tick by before slipping forward and halfway around the opening in the floor. He braced his shoulder against a door frame and after a moment of consideration flicked his wand. Two spells shot out in rapid succession, a stunning jinx right behind a harmless green light that echoed the eerie tinge of the killing curse. He would never use it, but that didn't mean he couldn't animate it. A third expulso was sent at the ceiling above and just in front of her.

It was all in her plan. She didn't know where he was which meant she needed him to come to HER. No way would she allow herself to be a sitting target the moment she got up there--not that standing on a staircase was any better. In the silence, she tried her best to listen. If he was coming his steps might echo off the walls in this empty place, if only a little.

A minute ticked by...a couple minutes ticked by actually, leaving her to wonder if she would need to start blowing things up again but then she heard it followed swiftly by the flash of green light that had her throwing herself to the ground immediately. Lex had never been one to study the colour of light each spell carried so no, she didn't know what that spell was and she didn't care to find out either.

Only problem was, the moment she hit the ground, the roof was collapsing above where she'd dived. dhgzfskdgfisdgfiS!!! "Protego!" And not a moment too soon to deflect the bits and chunks of concrete descending on her, skewing her vision with all the dust that had risen.

It took only the shortest moment to sort herself out with the shield now faded sending her into a coughing fit as she scrambled to her feet.

That attack had proven something, he was close--or close enough to have gotten such a shot. Her wand flew up immediately to cast a silent 'Bombarda' in the direction of the direction the green light had sprung from. Even if he wasn't there, she was clearing a path. It'd be a disaster going through a narrow way if he was there too. In fact, she cast another and another and another after that until there was nothing in that area but the bare floor covered in rubble. Frustration and impatience got the better of everyone at some point.

While her temper was something to be worked on, Sabel had to admit he was impressed with Alexa. Evasion or physical barriers were the best way to react to a green light spell, and she either knew that or she was resorting to default methods of avoidance.

It did concern him that she was flopping right under the collapsing roof. He had cast the spell in front of her for a reason. As much as he was trying to impart training on her, he wasn't intent on going all out. By no means. He took a few quick steps forward with the concern that he might have unintentionally buried her. If that was the case, the duel was off, apologies were on and he'd most likely have to make a trip to --

The bombarda hit right the wall right beside him, sending splinters of wood sailing every which direction. His arms snapped up, erecting a shield as he stumbled a few steps back, only to be offset by another bombarda, which almost took his foot off. He back-peddled rapidly before skirting sidelong into the room he had formerly been standing in front of. Not a moment too soon either, as another explosion took out the doorframe behind him.

Girl had a thing with noisy spells.

Turning around, Sabel recast his disillusionment spell before tossing a defodio at the section of wall he presumed was directly across from the stairwell, taking a chunk out of the plaster through which his second cast of immobulus followed through.

And now she could see again. Granted there wasn't much to be seen, except for maybe that glimpse of a figure as it moved through in the dust filled room, causing it to stir in a different direction. Unfortunately, that was all she could see before she heard another blast--one that didn't come from her wand but it left a hole in the wall she was facing. That was plenty telling, even with him insisting on this game of hide and seek.

Quick as she could, figuring she'd gotten the gist of his distraction attacks, Lex dropped to the floor again immediately after the blast unwilling to wait for the second attack that was sure to follow and began crawling toward the hole in the wall. He may not have been THERE but he was in that general direction; had to be.

At the wall, Lex rose beside the hole, pressed against the wall and listening. Somewhere on the otherside, was the man who decided he would only fight when he couldn't be seen.

Not hearing anything immediately she took the chance to stick her upper body through the hole wand ready. "Pingo blue!" Before withdrawing completely. After another moment she stuck herself through the hole again casting another three times in all directions in the hopes that even a touch of colour would be splattered onto his disillusioned state. Then, at least, she would have something to work with.

For now she wouldn't abandon the cover of the wall, but she would keep peeping through in the hopes of seeing some moving colour.

It was rather quiet. A little too quite for the usual bombardment of spells that she seemed to like to toss off. So, either he had hit her, or she was learning. Banking on the later, out of equal precaution and hope, Sabel quitely began across the floor, towards the half-standing doorway.

Just like a gopher popping out of a burrow, the young woman appeared full body in the hole he had created. It was an immediate reaction to toss a stun charm her way, but his sidestep to avoid her casting had his aim off and it sparked off the top of the hole. Her little paintball nicked off his side, splattering bright blue paint all over his side, underarm and up the side of his wand hand.

He didn't take the time to try and wipe it off or deal with it. As was her trait, a multitude of the same casts came through the hole. Sabel knocked two of them aside, the third which clipped his boot and gave him a nice blue half-footprint to parade around the place. The rest of the room was dotted with the color, making it a patchwork of destruction and child's play.

Perhaps he could blend in like a canvas? But first, he cast another sticking charm on the hole. Gophers could only come out of the same hole so many times.

Now came the moment of truth. In all her preoccupation with trying to get SOME visual on Sabel, she didn't notice the spell that had narrowly missed her, nor did she notice that at some point they'd been almost face to face. What got her was the shuffling feet. With all the freshly fallen rubble it left a scratchy crunch sound along the floor which would only help her as she had hoped.

Abandoning the hole, Lex felt it was time to see if her efforts bore fruit. Inch by inch she peeped around the wall, noting the splashes of blue all over. Did NOTHING hit hi--oh?

Alexa ducked behind the wall again, in case he'd set to fire in that time it took her to notice the odd shape the colour took. That had to be him and she wasn't going to have him vanishing again. This was where she was at a disadvantage. It wasn't every spell that she'd mastered on a nonverbal level. He would almost always hear her coming. That meant she would need speed on her side, the reckless kind that had her dashing out from behind the wall completely to be sure she had a good shot of him with her wand aimed and a spell shot immediately. 'Petrificus totalus' she managed non-verbally in the hopes of at least slowing him down before attempting the other. "Everte Statum!"

This time she didn't risk rushing behind the wall in the event she LOST him all over again. This was progress she wasn't willing to give up so easily.

He had only made it a few steps when something at the doorway caught his eye. It was a mishape, but then again, the whole frame was mangled. This shape however, was irregular in it's smoothness. Sabel's eyes flicked back to the hole where Alexa had popped out of before, and then back to the doorway as he stopped. The shape was gone, and he found himself sharing a private smile. It was an unexpected change of pace for her, the slow partial creeping. Maybe she was picking up on --

The thought crashed to a dead halt as she barreled into the room. While he didn't hear a normal shout, he knew better than to think she was trying to muggle kung-fu his head in. He snapped his wand up and to the side, dropping the disillusionment charm and angling his shield to deflect the nonverbal spell away from a direct hit. He never liked taking them straight on. There was never any telling as to the consequence of such a bold defense.

Dust sprung up from the floor as the spell skidded across his shield. Leaving him at a distadvantage to her next, rapid casting. In a split second, he knew he had to choose between defending himself, and putting out an offense. Snapping his arm up in a backwards diagonal line, Sabel tossed a Histedius at the young woman, trying to twist his body out of the way at the same time.

The spell broke against his twisting shoulder, knocking him backwards against the wall as sharp pain shot down his arm and back, igniting the still present stiffness in his lower back.

The fact he was still moving was as obvious an indication that he thwarted her spell as the sudden disturbance of dust across the floor. It could have been handy having him immobilized but there was no time to dwell on that--hold the snitch, why wasn't he defending? He must have known there was a second attack right behind the first.

The answer came only a split second after when she saw him take aim even as the spell hurtled toward him. Whether it was another shield or a counter attack, she wasn't interested to know and attempted to bolt but she was a second too late and found herself being knocked across the room, landing hard on a pile of rubble by a large hole in the floor. Couple inches more and she'd have fallen right through.

Between the throbbing back and the stinging skin, she just couldn't catch a break--not that she needed one and even if she did she wasn't going to make that obvious because this was something like a duel and she wouldn't be the one unable to continue.

Had they decided the terms that ended the duel? She couldn't remember that now as she scrambled shakily to her feet. Under the circumstances, she would assume the fight wouldn't stop just because someone dropped their wand, because this was the real world now and no one cared about that. Lex looked about the room, trying to orientate herself after the short flight and find Sabel before he could set up another attack.

Aha! There he was!

"Confringo!" She uttered, watching the bright light explode from her wand followed quickly by a, "Petrificus Digitirus!" In case she could get him to drop his wand. That might not end the duel but it would help.

This duel was a catch 22. On the one hand, he was grateful that his spell had hit, and given him time to recover from the stabbing pain in his back and the pricks of her spell. On the other hand, there was a good deal of guilt that came with it. As much as he tried to disociate himself from Alexa, from being co-workers, it was impossible to blur the lines. She was his responsibility, to teach and to ensure that she didn't sustain injury.

But the young woman was a firecracker, and blindly determined. Had he not been so preoccupied with righting himself he would have taken the time to acknowledge the admiration he had for resolve. As it was, he was immediately back on the defense.

Ignoring the biting pressure through his shoulders, Sabel tossed a levitating charm out to cast a large piece of rubble in the way of Alexa's next spell, just before diving into an awkward roll out of the way of her second spell. The evasion was hardly comfortable, or well executed, with the mess that had been made of the room, and he stumbled to his feet as he cast a wobbly Incarcerous at the girl's legs.

THAT was what she'd been talking about with the place providing it's own cover. Sabel was easily able to lift a piece of rubble to defend himself last minute effectively blocking both shots. The way she saw it, she needed to find better ground to stand on. As it stood, she was dangerously close to the large hole in the floor and not so much as a pillar or a wall to dodge behind should she need to, leaving him at the advantage.

Alexa tried shaking off the last of the stinging, wondering how long post-cast it would last.

By the time she finally lifted her wand again it was too late to do anything but attempt a run with the jet of rope shooting toward her. Unfortunately that didn't do much good either except send her flopping and rolling along the floor with her feet tightly bound. Instinctively she tugged at the rope that had been wound too tight before realizing how much of herself was hanging over the gap.

hsfdvuyrgfywgti!!

Did she free herself or try aiming at Sabel before she lost him in the room again? Last she'd seen he was tumbling but...where...? Not seeing him at first, Lex opened a third option to herself by wiggling further over the hole and ultimately falling through. Thankfully at the very last minute she'd been able to cast an 'Arresto Momentum' to lighten the fall. Back down here she could free herself while Sabel caught up, essentially buying her some time.

He was confused. The way Alexa reacted to the ropes reminded him all too much of himself. Of the muggle way. Did the girl not know a cancellation spell? There were a few that would have been handy to quickly untangle herself. Or even then, why not cast directly at him, to at least force him to the defense again.

As it was, the refusal to use either option allowed him to steady himself on his feet and prepare to go on the offensive. Something he was more than ready to do, with all the diving and rolling and blocking and ducking that had been going on. Except that she didn't give him the chance.

In true muggle fashion, she opted for gophering down the hole in the floor, albeit in an ungraceful manner that brought a sympathetic wince from him. It couldn't have been comfortable, landing on the floor all tied up. But then, were duels really supposed to be comfortable?

If she had been anyone else, Sabel would have launched a slew of nasty spells down the hole and at the ceiling in an attempt to immobilize or bury his opponent. And as much as he wanted to fight like one of the dark wizards she would surely face in her career with the MLE, Sabel couldn't justify causing undue harm. So, instead he moved as swiftly over the rubble as his sore back would allow him and tossed a Expelliarmus down the opening when he reached the edge of the broken boards.

Make no mistake, the moment Lex had hit the ground, she cast a 'diffindo' to cut the ropes then launched herself back onto her feet and staggered into a dash. The point of heading down here again was not to make herself the same sitting duck she'd been upstairs, it was to lose him while finding something that worked better for her.

The girl had already been half way across the room when she heard a spell hit across the floor where she'd landed. It meant he was standing somewhere around there, yes? By the edge even based of the angle. That being the case Lex took aim at the ceiling and cast a silent 'Reducto' the way Romanos had taught them to a year ago, reducing that part of the ceiling (his floor) to nothing but fine dust that came crashing to the ground.

Unless he'd managed to get far very fast, she could expect him to come down with the dusty remains of what was once the sturdy floor he'd stood on to cast down at her.

Not waiting to find out how accurate she was, Alexa quickly found a column she hadn't already blown up in their earlier game of cat and mouse and pressed herself to the opposite side for cover while she listened. That was all she was prepared to do right now. No sense in casting to give away her position if he wasn't even THERE.

There was a problem with the Expelliarmus spell. Mainly that it didn't work if there was no one there. And this was one of those times. It was far from disappointing though, which in and of itself was a rather conflicting sentiment to have during a duel. At least Alexa knew how to move, and move fast.

Something that he needed to think about doing himself. But the acknowledgement that standing on the edge of the opening was a bad idea, came after his admiration and as such, moments too late to do him any good. One moment the floor was there and the next, it was ash beneath his feet. It was hard to try and launch himself anywhere without good footing, and even catching the edge of the remaining opening was an uncertain move. So, instead of trying to stop the fall, he let it happen, bracing himself as much as he could for the impact, bending his knees to absorb the shock of the landing and throwing a shield around himself to protect against any spells she thought to hit him with on his way down.

The landing was jarring to say the least, stiffening every joint from his pinkie toe up to the back of his neck and then twisting them as he let the momentum carry him into a forward roll. The rubble and broken stones ground into his skin, his clothes providing little protection against the bruising somersault. There was no time to give in to the discomfort though. As soon as he was relatively right-side up in a low crouch, Sabel dropped the shield in favor of casting Fumos Duo, sending out a thick smoke screen to blanket the room and seep out through the holes blown in the walls.

Lex heard the unceremonious thud and attributed it to Sabel finally joining her on the current floor once again. It was either that or she'd taken something else down but what? The rubble? No, that would have been disintegrated the moment she cast the spell.

Dare she take another look?

The former Gryffindor might have but just as she prepped herself to take a peep, she could see thick smoke creeping around the column she was leaned against. All over her the thick smoke spread wrapping around her then moving forward. Alexa stifled a cough, knowing fully well it would compromise her position and completely defeat the purpose of her coming back down here to take cover.

Lex slapped a hand over her mouth and nose and did her best to forget the breathing issues this would cause. A bubble head charm was out of the question, the smoke was everywhere and she would have to go with it.

What she DID was take a page from his book, disillusioning herself to blend in with the smoke. At this point she got down on the floor and began crawling in the direction she knew he'd fallen so she'd disturbed less of the smoke as she moved. Element of extra surprise.

The drawback of smoke, was that it moved. Air currents happened in a room occupied or unoccupied, so he could place little faith in the twirls and drifts of the thick cloud about him. What he could put faith in, however, was that standing in the same spot he had landed was a fool's idea.

It meant moving, and possibly moving into his opponent, but at least then they would be on equal surprise. As it stood now, there was the likelihood that Alexa would use his own smog screen against him. Casting a combination of a cushoning charm and silencing charm on his feet, so as to avoid the tell-tale crunch and grind of the rubble below, Sabel began backing away from the center of the room, one slow step at a time.

Despite knowing little would come of searching the smoke, he did so anyways. At the very least, it passed the time between his steps. When his back brushed one of the pillars that was dotted around the perimeter of the room, Sabel paused in momentary wait before casting Homenum Revelio.

Was she even still in the room?

It was the strangest thing. In all her crawling she didn't HEAR any footsteps but at the same time she'd been crawling forever and hadn't run into Sabel. Wouldn't she have heard him moving around...? Of course, silencing charms most likely. It was something she should have thought of but it was too late now and for all she knew, he might have been on the other side of the room.

Moments later, Lex could feel something...swooping over her back...? What?

That couldn't have been good, in fact she was sure something was officially working against her, though she couldn't be sure what. Had it been something she'd read on? Probably not. Her reading was more centred around the dark arts. Whatever Sabel had just cast, it didn't hurt but that didn't mean it didn't work and for that reason she shot up and bolted behind the closest column.

As it happened, the moment she swung behind the column, she felt herself slam not into concrete but...hard muscle and the man she'd been running from and attacking simultaneously since they got here.

....

It was only a split second of staring before something drove her to raise her wand to his neck. No telling where this duel was going but if she didn't have then he had her and if this was real life it'd go REALLY bad.

One moment the spell had locked onto his target and the next was the fast crunch of footfalls on the debri, closer and closer and --

The impact was jarring and surprising. In the thick of the smoke, it was impossible to tell which direction the sound had been coming and going, and by the time it clicked that it was at his side, the physical impact was there. Sabel didn't wait past the second of registration. His hands snapped up. Even when the wood of the wand touched his neck, he didn't stop or slow moving. It just meant he had something more tangible to grip.

One hand shot up to grab the wrist at the end of the wand, while the other shot up for where the shoulder would be as he stepped into the invisible person, his foot dropping behind where he knew her legs would be. His head jerked to the side as his hands made to connect. It was a simple move, grabbing the opponent's arm and twisting it up and around their back, while blocking their retreat and using the invasion of their space to off-set their balance. Simple and effective, if done right and quickly. And he moved as fast as instinct guided him.

Sabel's sudden movements had her concentration failing and the disillusionment charm fading sooner than she'd have liked. Not that it mattered with the current situation she found herself in.

A sharp pain shot through her arm when he pulled it back the way he did causing her to bite down on her lip so as to hold back what might have been a yelp. No satisfaction for him. Not with this.

It took her only a moment of struggling to realize that wiggling wouldn't loosen his grip. This forced her to resort to throwing her head back in a sort of headbutt that would no doubt send her head throbbing if it connected considering the force she'd used. In the event that didn't work her foot reached back with as much as she could put into it, hoping to kick at something.

Were it a different situation she could have tried using his weight against him but most movement was painful with the position her hand was currently being forced into.
