It's a picture-perfect day on Sunday, July 17. The sun is shining brightly, there is just the hint of a summer breeze, and it's a great day for playing and watching Quidditch. The top two teams from this year's International Youth Quidditch Division have come to England's Exmoor stadium to battle it out for the championship. With the stadium packed with friends, family, and fans of the U17 Irish and Norwegian teams, you can feel the excitement in the air as the players prepare to take to the skies. Let's get ready for a fun and action-packed day of Quidditch!

SPOILER!!: Rules
This game will be based on an RPed moves-and-results basis, similar to the rules of Virtual Quidditch. However, not every move is a sure success. When making a move you may only post ONE action (passing, shooting, hitting a bludger, etc.). This may either be an intended move or the outcome of the move posted by the person before you. You must rely on your fellow teammates to help complete moves as intended, or on your opposition to block your attempts.
Moves
When making a move in Virtual Quidditch (passing, shooting, sending a Bludger, etc.), you can only post your intention – not the outcome. Bullet posting (making multiple posts in immediate succession) are not allowed. You must rely on your fellow teammates to help complete each move as you had hoped, or on your opposition to foil your attempts.
You can post one-liners if you want, or longer RPed posts, but please make sure your intention or outcome is clear and visible – underlined, bold, or different color, if necessary.
Here are some examples of CORRECT moves:
The Ireland Chaser shoots the Quaffle!
Norway passes the Quaffle to a fellow Norwegian chaser!
Norway whacks a Bludger toward the Ireland chaser!
Here are some examples of INCORRECT moves:
Ireland shoots and scores!
Norway passes the Quaffle and the pass is successful!
Ireland whacks a Bludger at the Norway chaser and it knocks the Quaffle out of her hands! Ireland with the Quaffle.
Results
A result is the outcome of a move. The results of a move are determined by the next person who posts.
Here are some examples of possible results:
Ireland scores! The Quaffle is up for grabs.
Norway snags the released Quaffle and races toward the other end of the pitch.
Ireland catches the Quaffle and zooms off toward the hoops.
The bludger connects! Norway catches the falling Quaffle and speeds off. (If someone is hit by a bludger, it is safe to assume that the quaffle was dropped if they were carrying it.)
Ireland dodges the Bludger and zooms on.
Here is a simple breakdown of some possible moves for each position: Chaser: The Quaffle can be shot, scored, blocked, passed, caught, or intercepted. The Chaser can also fly down the pitch or dodge/get hit by bludgers. Keeper: Block the quaffle from being scored, catch the quaffle, throw the quaffle Beater: The Bludger can be hit toward another team, make contact (knocking away the Quaffle), or be dodged. Seeker: The Snitch can be sighted or be caught.
Also, there are a couple more additional rules that are very important:
Once your team is in possession of the Quaffle, a non-shooting move MUST occur prior to scoring (this can be zooming, passing, etc.). In short, there must be FOUR moves to score: possession, non-shooting, shooting, scoring. This applies to each time the Quaffle changes possession. For example, if Norway loses possession and Ireland recovers the Quaffle, Ireland cannot immediately shoot. They must "zoom" or pass first.
Points made from illegal moves will not be counted.
If you score with the Quaffle, please remember to re-release it in your post.
Absolutely no abusing of other players. This includes any physical contact ranging from stealing the Quaffle straight out of their arms to kicking them in the face to knock them off their brooms. Such conduct will result in being benched for the remainder of the game.
You must not be in invisible mode on SnitchSeeker during the duration of the game.
Late Posts
In the event that late posts occur, the first move is always the most recent. For example:
[1:06 AM] - Ireland scores! Quaffle up.
[1:07 AM] - Norway gets the Quaffle!
[1:07 AM] - Ireland grabs the Quaffle and zooms!
In this case, the Ireland poster is late. Therefore, each subsequent move should be based on Norway having possession of the Quaffle.
If you make a post that is late or at the same time as someone else, please go back and edit that your post was late so as to not confuse the other players. However, the referee (The Announcer) will keep an eye out for these sorts of events and account for them as per the rules.
Catching the Snitch
There will be three Snitches to catch during the game, worth 50 points each. When the referee (The Announcer) decides to release it, he or she will hide the Snitch in one of their posts. It is up to you to spot it.
In order to provide a Snitch sighting, one need only to mention Snitch in their post. Here are some examples of Snitch sightings:
Ireland shoots the Quaffle as he flies past the Snitch!
Norway dodges the Bludger and continues down the pitch. The Seeker has found the Snitch!
Ireland scores! The Seekers are after the Snitch!
To catch the Snitch, three DIFFERENT players (from any of the teams, and can include the seeker) must spot it before the Seeker can catch it. The Seeker must be at least the fourth player to spot the Snitch and gets to post "(Team) catches the Snitch!"
After the third Snitch has been caught, the referee will tally up the final scores and announce the winner.

The referee flew out to the center of the pitch where the crowd was already waiting in the surrounding stands for the start of the game. Every player was announced from each team as they flew out onto the pitch to the approval of the cheering crowd. It was time to begin!
As the teams took their sides and got into position, the referee addressed the crowd with his voice magically amplified. "Welcome to today's match between the youth teams of Ireland and Norway! The winner of today's game will determine this year's international youth champion. Good luck to both teams!" It went without saying that he expected them to play fairly.
The shrill sound of his whistle was heard as he threw the quaffle into the air for one of the chasers to catch it.

Ruari was all stuffed up on the junk from the food vendors and a...spirited enough conversation with a carpet man and now it was time to take to the pitch. She always loved this; the rush before a match, the sudden feeling of adrenaline pumping through her small veins. This was the only sort of life for her. In the space of a second, the 14 year old had transformed into something of a muggle energizer bunny as she pushed off the ground.
Make no mistake, she took one lap, arms wide open with the biggest grin on her face when the Official called her name. Ruari Ó Conaill, yes, that was her. Hi, hello world.
Soon enough, the young girl settled before the hoops, hovering with a wide grin still on her freckled face. From here, she couldn't see her Mam or her Da, but she could see her teammates. Roarke had the quaffle and had someone missed a bludger that nearly threatened to cliff the twigs right off the broom. In fact, it wasn't JUST one. That Norwegian Beater was giving it all but it was still shaky. Merlin's beard how excitin'!
"Ye can do it Roarke! Straigh' fer the hoops! Ye go' this!"

Phillip wasn't too concerned about the game today! This was a sure win, right? The beater swung his club around a bit as he hovered, watching Roarke make like a butterfly--time to sting like a bee, eh?
He didn't see any impending threads besides that other persistent beater. So, with a confident, bordering arrogant, chuckle, he raced towards a bludger and swung his bat, hitting it towards that Norwegian beater. Did Ruari see that? He glanced over his shoulder to make sure.

Hovering soon turned into a form of hover!bouncing as the girl watched the game playout. Roarke still had the quaffle, he was taking no prisoners today! What a dodge, Merlin he was bolting wasn't he? Ruari hardly had time to react to his wink before he'd zoomed by her heading for the hoop with little opposition--thanks to Phillip. Did you SEE the way he hit that bludger???
"Das showin' 'em Phillip! Ye still go' a good arm!" No really, she couldn't have been the only one to notice. Her team sure was lighting up the pitch!
Then it happened. Right by that Norwegian keepers FACE! Quaffle through the hoop! Points for them!! "Wooooooooo!!!" Ruari did a sort of hyper flip from her spot at the hoops, hardly able to contain her enthusiasm.
Sure, the match was still young but there was something to be said about the ones who get the first goal in and THAT WAS THEM!
She only settled again when she realized the opposing team now had the quaffle. Game face on. She was ready for this.

Rolf looked for a chance to get himself in the game. He hovered for a bit once his team took possession of the quaffle. He eyed the Ireland Keeper and snarled at how enthused she seemed. The Large Norwegian Zoomed forward and kept his eye on one of the oncoming Bludgers.
Rolf made a hard cracking hit to the Bludger and sent it zooming towards an Ireland Chaser. Hoping to clear a path for his chasers.
SCORE FOR IRELAND! Phillip was happy, yes, and doing twirls as well but quickly shot back into the game, doing his best to move in on a bludger as it zoomed for one of HIS people--HECK NO, LITTLE BLUDGER.
And he heard that snarl--PSSSSH. He hit the bludger right BACK at that Norway guy, that BEATER. RUARI WE GOT YOU.

Hell no! Rolf was not going to let that opposing beater ruin his plan! Taking a Skidding stop as the bludger came right back at him He took a hard swing and hit it right back at the Ireland beater who thought they could get in his way!

Indiane was flying around the pitch, calm as she watched Melanie flying closer and closer to the hoops but she didn't let herself get distracted from finding the snitch.

Eeeek! There were sending a bludger for Phillip! He'd only JUST heroicly saved her and now he was in real danger of having some part of him or the other damaged!! What was she gonna do?? She couldn't just SIT here...
But she had no choice. There was a CHaser coming hard down the pitch with every intention of getting a quaffle by her and while she worried for her dear friend, she couldn't let the team down.
Ruari bit her lip, trying to find out whether or not he was fine but there was hardly any time before the quaffle came right at her.
With a mighty swing of her broom, the 14 year old thwacked the quaffle away, sending it in the opposite direction.

Rolf flies off just behind Melanie. He keeps a close eye on the Irish Keeper ahead of him. A small grin on his face as he recalls the keepers happy bounces from earlier. Snarling once more He smacks an oncoming bludger deflecting off his bat at right at the Keeper!
