Default Divination Lesson One

Early afternoon the air still feels a little warm outside as she make your way up the Divination Tower. When you enter the first thing you might notice is a poster right at the door and your professor standing waiting to greet each and every child. Hoping the poster would help set the tone for the rest of the class Professor Euka is eager to let you pick which greeting you would like.

SPOILER!!: Greetings

Once you have done the greeting students will see rows of desks set up three feet apart with little baskets under each for your belongings. On the board they will find a few instructions that Professor Euka would like them to do before she begins.

Quote:
Take your seat and place your things under your chair. Once you have done this please close your eyes and take three deep breaths to relax your body and your mind.

Class Progress:
Why do we dream?

This professor seemed really nice, and Ollie had a great feeling about this class, though she still wasn't sure what this class was. She very much fancied the idea of being able to express herself in the class. As the professor motioned to him, Ollie turned to see the beautiful peacock that stood in the back of the classroom. Like a class pet? Ollie had only ever had hampsters as class pets before, so a peacock is very interesting.

Ollie wasn't one of the students who wished to take a nap right now. She wasn't much on naps in general, especially during class. She had a pretty strict bedtime routine that she stuck to and was in bed and asleep by 9. Any naps during the day would result in a later bedtime, and as an earlier riser (5 am) anytime after 9 would be too late.

She really had to think about her answer for this. Dreams weren't something she was taught in muggle school, nor did she read about it often. I think that dreams happen when most of the brain is asleep but there is a part of it that is still active. Depending on what part of the brain is still active, you get different types of dreams like nightmares, lucid dreams, even dreams that may happen in real life... like deja vu!" She was very happy with that answer, both scientific and not-scientific.

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.

Claudine indeed had had a wonderful day so far, Professor. Even the little relaxation exercise could be factored in as being wonderful because now the girl felt calmer; there weren’t a million thoughts racing through her mind. With nothing else to do, the sixth year watched her classmates file in. Who’d be the first to sit next to her? It turned out that Ashley was first. “Hi, Ash.’’ Then there was Victoria whom Claudine stared at for a full ten seconds. Hello, did this first year not know that Claudine disliked nicknames for herself? Only thing was… now that she thought about it, she didn’t mind being nicknamed. Huh? Was she changing that much? “First off, I’m not old at all. Secondly, my name is not an old lady’s name. Thirdly, you can only call me Claudy if I get to call you Vicky.” It was only fair, right? Hi, Fiona. She saw you. And you, Heath.

……………………..

Irvin? Who was Irvin? The sixth year turned at the indication to see a peacock in the classroom as though it had spent its entire life in one. It probably did. Attention back on Euka, she tried not to focus too much on the fact that the woman had subtly brought up Kitridge. The mention sent a jolt through her but did everything she could to pretend she had been unaffected.

A nap? No, she didn’t want a nap, thanks. Claudine wanted to head out to the Grounds to get some sketching done. But naps, and sleep were good in general. Just not if you’re having nightmares. Without thinking, she glanced at Heath.

Some time later, her hand went up to answer the questions. “We dream because our minds replay events we think about, even if we don’t realise that they’re events we have been thinking about.” Lowering her hand, she shrugged for the second question. “Maybe that’s just the way our brains are wired; to have the dreams fade as soon as we wake up.”

SPOILER!!: Euka

As another student came in and decided to give a wave Euka smiled and waved back, "Good afternoon, I'm so happy you have joined us today." Meda had a feeling her class would be a bit busy today, knew professor and all. She wasn't that old... yet to not realize people would be curious.

Heading away from the door Meda smiled at the class. "Good afternoon everyone. If I haven't met you before this I am Professor Euka and I am so happy to be standing here with you today. I'd like to thank you for putting up with my little poster. I've been all different trainings and have taught in a few places, but I like to bring a few things into my classroom that gives students the chance to express themselves in their own ways, gives you creativity and options. " It gave her a sense of how students react to things as well. "If you haven't met Irvin yet you will see him moving around the class." smiling she pointed out the peacock chilling in the back of the room at the moment.

"Now I know some of you are having a harder time in this room than others, but I promise we will all get through this first class together and move forward. I am here to show you the amazing ways of Divination and how fun it can be. I have come from a long line of Diviners and our passion for teaching the subject does run in the family." She knew her sister had different ways of reaching the students than she did, but she hoped they would enjoy her style just as much.

"To start off today though I have to ask by a show of hands who wishes they could take a nap? I mean it is afternoon, you've worked really hard in your classes and had lunch. A nap at this time of day just seems perfect." Glancing around the room she expected to see many different reactions to this question and wouldn't be surprised with some yeses and claps. "The problem with naps and sleep in general is that sometimes people can be afraid of letting go of the control that sleep takes. You are the most vulnerable when you sleep. You have no defense, you have no control on your fears, concerns, or any other things taking over your mind while you sleep. " She walked around the room looking at all the students as she continued.

"Dreams can be an interesting topic all on their own and something we will be focusing on today. My question to start us off today is why do you think we dream and why do you think we don't remember every dream we have?"

[SIZE="1"][COLOR="Black"]OOC: Welcome, welcome, if you haven't posted please come join us. I will move on in about 24 hours

Taking a few more deep, calming breaths, Aibhi then opened her eyes to look at professor Euka as she began to speak to the entire class. She raised her eyebrow in curiosity as she looked in the back of the class. Yeah, Merlin, there was a peacock. And his name was Irvin? That's bloody brilliant. Turning her attention back to professor Euka as she looks down for a moment still feeling a bit of a...heavy air to the room from the events of last term, but listening to Euka, Aibhi could tell that there was something about her that she liked. Something that was...insightful. Yeah, this wasn't Kittridge, but it almost felt like listening to her. Aibhi's attention was grabbed.

Hearing her first question, Aibhi didn't hesitate and raised her hand because sleep hasn't really been an option for her as of late. Napping, sleeping...it was near impossible. but then again...she was just afraid to go to sleep...as much as she wanted to...she knew she would wake up screaming at one point and breaking out into a cold sweat. Her uncle dealt with it the most over the summer...but he helped her as best as he could for her. Sleep...Dreams...this was going to be an interesting class.

Sitting up a bit, she raises her hand, keeping her focus on professor Euka as she walked around the classroom and shrugs, "Our bodies are pretty interesting. Sometimes we dream to...escape from our normal world and try to put ourselves into a different world where all of our worries and fears no longer exist, but remembering the dreams? That's a little tricky, isn't it? While some may suggest that dreams are a window to the subconscious, other theories say that dreams are a nonsense result of the activity that takes place while we sleep and restore our brains when we fall asleep. Basically our ability to remember dreams all depends on our brains going through essential and non-essential information as we sleep."

Divination .... Blake wasn't sure why he still kept taking this class - he wasn't very good at it. His OWL was just an A .. barely a pass really, so what in the name of Merlin's Beard was he still doing this for...

And they were going to talk about dreams - ugh - Blake had a feeling that the homework was going to be a dream diary ... he never remembered his dreams.

"Well dreaming is a part of the REM cycle isn't it?? So it's just our imaginations taking affect while we sleep." At least that was Blake's best scientific answer.

Alfie didn't particularly want to take a nap, no. He had slept well last night. He had gone to class and learned some magic and then eaten lunch and now he was here and ready to learn about Divination. There was no time for naps. Plus he wasn't tired anyway.

Dreams, though. That was interesting. Alfie liked dreaming. It was like seeing a cool adventure in his own head. One time he had dreamt that he was on a boat but then he fell off except he could breathe underwater and he made friends with fishes. Though sometimes dreams were scary, and Alfie didn't like that so much. As for why they dreamed, he'd never really given that much thought before. He raised his hand. "Our brains have good imaginations. When we're awake we can control it and imagine what we want. When we're sleeping we can't control it but our brains still imagine things for us sometimes." And why couldn't they always remember dreams? Maybe they just didn't have a very good memory.

Dare rose his hand up unapologetically at wanting to take a nap. It was a hereditary trait among the boys in his family it seemed like. Naps were nice, in the right place and time. They were an escape from reality when things were hard, though sometimes the hard times bled into the naps like this summer. But even though, they were a nice break.

"Dreams.." Darius said, "I imagine are just moments of your brain mixing and matching events of your life with goals, expectations, and other things you've been familiar with. They don't really make sense most of the time yet they often feel real in the moment unless you can somehow control your dreams." That was his best shot of an answer, he was no expert dreamer at this age.

His hand did in fact go up when Professor Euka asked who wanted a nap. She wasn't wrong that with a belly full of food, heading back to his dorm for a quick power nap would have been ideal. His hand went down as the discussion continued.

In truth, Evan didn't have any idea about dreams but he had already determined to try in this class so try he would. Better to be wrong than not offer an attempt at joining the discussion. So he raised his hand and waited for his turn. "Dreams are our subconscious continuing to work, even while we're asleep. I believe the brain can also sort them into short term and long term, like with most of our waking memories, so when you remember something it's long term. When you forget, it was filed short term and it might not be readily available when you're awake." Or was it the other way around?

Violet had slipped into Divination Class just before it started, contenting herself with a verbal "Hello, Professor" (no dancing or hugging, please!"

She had never liked, or been good at, Divination, but now felt guilty for never taking Professor Kitridge quite seriously, so she was determined to give the new teacher a fair shake. But she sat stunned as the professor began talking about taking naps--was this some kind of trick? Were they really supposed to give a straight answer?

And then, when Euka started talking about dreams, Violet felt she was beginning to understand where this was going. Okay, this wasn't so bad--dreams was a legitimate topic of discussion.

"I think dreams are necessary for our brains to process all the information they've taken in during the day. I've read that people deprived of the sleep state where dreams can happen will eventually go insane. But people don't pay attention to their dreams if they don't think they're important, and if you don't write them down or talk about them to someone the minute you wake up, all the events of the day start crowding in on you, and if you try to remember your dreams later, they're all gone, like smoke."

Lisa beamed a BIG SMILE in return to the Professor Euka’s smile. She was quite glad that the Professor seemed to enjoy the fireworks because... well... it was FUN!

Class was off to the start and the littlest Nam couldn’t help but smirk when her brother raised his hand when the Professor asked about naps. She chuckled. You could always count on Evan to always look for more chances to take a nap. Sometimes she was envious of him. She felt as if he had this superpower that allowed him to sleep whenever and wherever. So unfair. She’d have to ask him for those super powers.

But anyway.... the question. As she mulled over the answer, she listened to several of her peer’s responses. They were interesting especially Ollie’s. She agreed with Ollie’s, Evan’s, and Violet’s. Actually Violet’s was RATHER intriguing. Hm..... “Maybe our dreams are like photographs from those ancient Muggle Polaroid cameras. The photographs take a while to develop and if not left to develop, the picture never shows up completely so maybe our brain doesn’t get to completely develop before it’s time to wake up?

Noah had fallen asleep the moment he finished his breathing exercises. His stomach was full, he's lost a good amount of sleep early on since he's been revising more than the usual for his OWLs, and the room was far too relaxing, to be honest. He'd missed the question entirely because he was in lala-land, only to be woken up with a slight jolt by Scarlett's voice. Thank Merlin for having a very loud sister.

Rubbing the sleep off of his eyes, Noah sat straighter in his seat in an attempt to fight his afternoon exhaustion. His eyes wandered from one student to another, trying to figure out where they were in the discussion, and was able to make out the topic of the question: Dreams.

Welp, he really has no clue what it is scientifically (he found that boring), but from a wizarding folk's point of view, it could be of importance. Like... yeah, Divination and stuff. Noah propped his elbow on his desk, and had his chin in his hand. Speaking of dreams, he had one the other night... perhaps brought about the experience they had during last term's excursion at the Reserve. Comparing it to what actually happened, his dream was way cooler.

Lia was content to sit and listen to the professor talk, that is until she mention Irvin. Not knowing who this was, obviously she had to shift around in her seat as she looked about the room trying to locate whom it might be. It didn't take very long to spot who Irvin was.

A peacock.

There was a peacock in the back of the room. And he was beautiful. Dahlia smiled brightly at him and even gave him a little wave. Could they touch him if he came over to say 'hello'?!

She may have gotten lost in watching Irvin for a few moments before remembering that the lesson had started. Slowly turning back around in her seat she returned her attention to Professor Euka. Dreams. Right. Was she tired? Yeah, most of the time she was. However she wouldn't take one now even if she could. Not only would it ruin any chances she had of possibly sleeping that night but chances were it wouldn't be a very pleasant sleep anyhow.

She raised her hand. "Isn't dreaming a way for us to process what we've been thinking about or something we've been through? Like a coping process of sorts.. nightmares tell us that... well clearly we aren't handling that situation well..." Yeah, she knew nightmares all too well. "Maybe sometimes we don't always remember them before we wake up too quickly or our brain doesn't want us to remember it." If only her brain would be nice to her and not let her remember her nightmares she would very much appreciate it.

..... Now Pax saw the poster, and she immediately looked at the new professor properly and judged hard. Hopefully that whole thing, which was more suited to a kindergarten, was an isolated thing and not the beginning of a ridiculous pattern that would yet again derail her education. Pax put her book away, and switched it out for text book and notebook, again having reason to pause because of the peacock.

Which she wouldn't hesitate to hex if it tried to peck her. Her nostrils flared slightly and she focused on the professor again, something about naps and having a hard time in this classroom? No to both of those things. However, in spite of herself she straightened up, more interested at talk of vulnerability and taking over minds. Maybe this professor would actually teach something useful! Dreams were interesting, especially the kind that were magically manipulated.

REM sleep cycles, processing the day, learning and assimilating new information, Pax made notes on all of these and then added a note that sometimes, if dreams were being manipulated, perhaps the manipulator didn't want the dreamer up remember. Like brainwashing or hypnotism in your sleep. As was typical for her though, she didn't put her hand up to offer an answer, but Pax was cautiously curious and engaged, for now.

Heath listened to Professor Euka's opening remarks. Oh, so that explained the poster. He was strangely disappointed that it wasn't a lead-in to a form of divination using greetings. That sounded interesting! Blink, blink. Who was Irvin? He turned his head in the direction Euka pointed, and his mood instantly brightened as he saw the peacock. Oh hey, pretty bird!

Heath tentatively raised his hand, unsure how to respond to the nap question. Yes, he did want a nap. He wanted all the sleep he could get, but not if it meant seeing himself back in The Room every time he closed his eyes! Out of the corner of his eye, he caught Claudine's glance, but before he could return it, the professor asked another question, this one even harder to answer.

He pondered for a moment. Scientifically speaking, there wasn't one definitive reason why people dreamed, and most of the existing theories had already been mentioned. So what else could he say? "There's one theory that dreams are just a by-product of sleep, and they don't serve any bigger purpose," he said after being called on. Not that he necessarily believed that. He just couldn't think of anything else to add!

Kale's eyes snapped open when Pax joined him. He managed a tiny smile for his friend. 'Sup, Pax-a-doodle-do? She was a hoot and with her next him maybe they would be partners! The thought perked the Gryffindor up majorly.

When the question turned to naps, Kale was about to holler in delight. He loved a snuggly nap. And tbh the idea of a communal sleep time sounded dope. But it was quickly dismissed when talk of dreams came up. Kale was only a lil bummed. Besides, he had lots of thoughts about dreams. They were, like, plays, but for your heart. And dreams were v different than nightmares, according to a Kale. Dreams could only be lovely.

AHHHH DREAMS.

He got so distracted, so off in faerie land, that he neglected to answer the question all together. Happy siiiiiigh. Dreams.

Meda was impressed by the amount of students that put their hands up, even the ones that didn't seemed to be listening. It wasn't that she didn't expect them to, it was class after all, but she had been around teenagers long enough she knew patterns that tended to happen. Smiling as she walked around to call on each student;

SPOILER!!: replies

Ash did not enjoy that dream. But she still had some unique version of it every night.

"I think that a dream is a weird manifestation of whatever you were thinking about when you went to bed. I guess we don't pay attention during dreams very much, so some people can't remember them." Some people. Not her. She remembered her dreams, and they were terrifying. "And sometimes people's brains will block a stressful or vivid dream, so that they won't get confused about what is reality." Ash wondered if that meant she had brain damage. She didn't see her brain doing that. Not fair.

"I paint my dreams sometimes." If she ever had one that deviated from the standard Flaming-Hogwarts dreams. Or if she had a particularly interesting standard Flaming-Hogwarts dream.
The first Ravenclaw was on to something, but that wasn't what caught Meda's interest, it was the painting that really go her attention. "There are many theories on why we have dreams and why we remember some and not others. I don't think you are far off by what you are saying in some ways, but what I want to talk about later is the painting. It is a great way to document dreams and keep track of them."

"Very good, Deja Vu is certainly another topic all in itself, but one that fits closely with what we are doing today." Some might call it deja vu when it happened but any diviner could tell them it wasn't.

"Definitely a good thought. Our brains are trying to possibly protect us so the memory of the dream fades as fast as it had come."

When the slytherin spoke next Meda was impressed. She was very thoughtful and knowledgeable about her answer and Meda could tell she knew many things about dreams. "I see you have an interest here. That is always good to see a fellow researcher of dreams." Meda loved studying dreams so this was exciting to find a student just as interested.

"Well dreaming is a part of the REM cycle isn't it?? So it's just our imaginations taking affect while we sleep." At least that was Blake's best scientific answer.
Nodding she agree with the REM it was proven scientifically, but she felt there was a deeper reasoning, but he wasn't wrong. "Yes, the REM cycle has been studying and so much information has come from that, but when looking at dreams it is always good to look deeper at times."

"It is always good to have an imagination, I find the better the imagination the more entertaining things can be." That went for awake as much as it did sleep.

"Dreams.." Darius said, "I imagine are just moments of your brain mixing and matching events of your life with goals, expectations, and other things you've been familiar with. They don't really make sense most of the time yet they often feel real in the moment unless you can somehow control your dreams." "Yes, dreams do come partly from what we have done in life and maybe something we are trying for and haven't quite gotten."

She liked how every student was thinking and not thinking on the same lines. "Bringing in the short and long term memories could be a possibility. Maybe someething in our dreams says keep this information don't keep that."

"The processing is certainly important. We got through many different events in one day and think about how many things happen in just a week. We don't have much time to process things awake, so it makes sense to do it while asleep." She also like the observation of writing down the dreams, but that would be talked about just a bit later.

This was an interesting take and Meda took a few minutes to think about it. Your imagination and memory could be like a camera and she actually liked the comparisons. "That is a good example of how it all might work, yes."

She certainly noticed the sleeping and gave him a few looks. "Just because I said about naps does not mean you are napping... yet."

If only her brain would be nice to her and not let her remember her nightmares she would very much appreciate it.

[b] "That could very well be that our brains are not wanting us to remember, but there are ways to get it to recall and we will discuss those in a bit."[b] She had mentioned earlier about the other things she had brought up so Meda moved to the next student.

Giving a nod to show that she knew the girl was listening Meda turned to and pointed to a boy with his hand up.

Glancing towards another silent one she gave a few more minutes for anyone else to answer before moving on.

"Many of you have brought up such good points and know quite a bit about the scientific parts of sleep and dreams. It is impressive how much interest and knowledge this topic has. Dreams are something muggles and wizards alike have studied and tried to figure out. Why do we have them, what makes them go the way they do, why do we remember some and not others. These are questions that have been asked over and over again. Now one of you brought up Deja Vu. That is an interesting topic and one that can very much be brought on with dreams, which leads me to ask has anyone ever heard of the Divination form Oneiromancy?" Waiting to see the hands she turned and moved towards her desk.

With a flick of her wand her desk became a table full of potion vials and a basket next to her desk reveal nice fluffy pillows. "I want each of you to come up and get a potion, if you would like a pillow you may grab one as well. Do not do anything with these yet, just get them and go back to your seat." Moving out of the way she continued, "As I was saying we will be working with Oneiromancy today, this is a Divination form using dreams. Many Diviners do not agree with Mr. Freud that dreams are nothing more than just that. They look for meanings, patterns, and messages within the dream. Your sixth sense speaking up while you are asleep to tell you something." She smiled and looked around, "Can anyone tell me a time where maybe you felt like you had Deja Vu or possibly a moment that made you stop and think didn't I dream something about this or was I warned that this would happen? What do you think about your dreams being able to tell you something?"

OOC: sorry I was a bit late this time, end of the school year gets crazy! Will post again in around 24 hours.

Ollie's hand shot up. She was extremely happy that the professor had referenced her answer. Very scholarly. This was be included in her letter to her father. "One time I had dreamt that I had burnt my toast and dropped in on the floor in a very specific sequence. Then, a few days later, that same sequence happened! I thought I was psychic at first" She giggled. She was already liking this class.

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.

Claudine didn’t know much details about the Muggle way, or rather the scientific ways, of which dreams are thought of and what not. That’s why some of the responses given stood out. What she knew of dreams are what was due to the studies by witches and wizards. But yes, the sixth year had indeed heard of Oneiromancy.

Oh dear Merlin. Were they actually going to be having a nap that would guarantee that they dream? Claudine really did not fancy a nap. Still, that was no excuse to try to make an excuse to leave so she grabbed a vial and a purple pillow. It was only when she was back at her seat that she thought of deja vu and whatever else Euka asked. She immediately remembered a dream and an event that occurred in her first year, the year they were all stuck at Beaxbatons.

“I once dreamt of plants burning. A few days later, I accidentally set some rose bushes on fire at Beauxbatons.’’ Claudine wondered how many of those who had been there remembered the incident. Goodness, the Beauxbatons Headmistress really had gone full on out cuckoo afterwards.

“My ROZIZ!’’

Ugh. Claudine could still remember the woman’s voice and accent quite clearly as much as she could remember being grabbed at her collar by Giselle Desmarais.

Which came first, the phoenix or the flame?

Ash nodded at Claudine. "Hiiii." She got her potion. Not a pillow though. "Excuse me, do we like, have to sleep in this class?" She shifted uncomfortably. She didn't enjoy being out of control like she was in dreams, and se didn't enjoy dreaming in public either.

Ash actually almost never had Deja Vu. "My dreams just like to remind me of the past. Creatively. And you could argue that I feel impending doom in my dreams and then bad things happen, but they also happened before my dreams so it's almost impossible to tell which is right." Also, Ash didn't have prophecies in her sleep. Unless her recurring nightmare was a prophecy. Which was unlikely considering that it was so... bizarre.

Misa thought a nap sounded very pleasant. She grabbed a potion and pillow before raising her hand. "I find when I'm overthinking or worried about something I more often have Déjà vu moments." she offered. Or maybe overthinking always caused her to self sabotage.

Violet tried to think of a time she'd felt Deja vu but couldn't really think of one. She felt an odd sense of threat or warning sometimes, like, 'Don't go down that street,' or 'You'll be sorry if you do that.' She tended to dismiss such things as just imagination or superstition if they weren't backed up by facts, but oddly, now that she thought of it, her hunches were almost always right. Hmmmm...maybe there was something to this stuff after all.

And her dreams--Violet's dreams were often like some wild art film, rushing from scene to scene with improbably events and no plot. Violet was not sure any of that was a form of Divination.

"My dreams don't really make a lot of sense. If they're trying to tell me something, I don't know what."

Apollo wasn't sure what to expect with divination this year but that juvenile poster wasn't one of them and he definitely deliberated hard over which greeting choice he should be following. If he had known Professor Euka longer he might have opted for a fist bump but it didn't really seem appropriate for a new professor, so instead he settled on a simple greeting.

Why do we dream? Didn't that old bloke from like two centuries ago write a story about dreams and something about a wish your heart makes ? That kind of made sense and less scientific than his classmates were getting. Also, he didn't want to think about vulnerability when he was sleeping. He had mostly trusted Atlas and Aries in the year they'd all been together but now he was pretty sure he wasn't going to be able to sleep as well given that Professor Euka put those thoughts out there.

And she was passing out potions and pillows. Oh no. Unless it was a calming draught, how were they meant to be put into a sleep now ?!? When she'd mentioned moments ago about vulnerability when sleeping??

"Chaotic. That's my dreams." so basically hard to interpret and could he get a pass on this activity because he wasn't sure he wanted anyone to see his dreams .

Lisa went up quietly to grab said potion and pillow. Soft! Once back at her seat, she placed the potion on the desk and then hugged the cushion close to her as she listened to the Professor continue speaking about the branch of Divination that they would be learning about today.

Talk about a deja vu moment?

Hmmm.... Well most of Lisa’s dreams were fantastical by nature so she quickly ruled out those and focused on the more practical, boring, and real life dreams. Well there were some dreams about her being high up in the air and falling all of a sudden. She hadn’t thought too much about it before but then again maybe she hadn’t experienced that “premonition” yet. Or perhaps it was a warning to stay away from brooms....?

Most of my dreams are exciting but I did have a dream about throwing rocks once and then Remy and I did it in Diagon Alley. In the dream, however, one of the rocks shattered a window. I didn’t know that I would be throwing rocks with Remy... Maybe the sense of déjà vu is just telling us what we REALLY want to do. So if you really wanted ice cream than maybe the dream or your dream would be about it?

Well... it was nice to have the goal of participation while it lasted. Deja vu moments from dreams? He was coming up entirely blank. If he ever remembered his dreams, he usually cross referenced them to Eomma's books to figure out what Freud and other muggle psychologists thought dreams told you about yourself. He hadn't the foggiest how to take those same dreams and figure out if they held true to actual moments in time that had happened to him.

And he was drawing a blank on something recent he could even use for point of reference.

So ... he stayed quiet, as he got up and went to get his potion and pillow as instructed and heading back; giving wide berth to the peacock as he did so. Watch him probably dream something about peacocks now... he just hoped he didn't dream it bit him.

Because what if THAT came to fruition?

At least all signs suggested they might actually be sleeping part of this class? Even if it meant they were documenting a dream.
