Hopefully you recall that today's Divination lesson is being held in the library. Gratitude must be given to Professor Cole for allowing her to facilitate the lesson here, and for also assisting with a suitable layout. Once you step through the doors, that layout is what you spot to your right.
In the midst of three massive bookcases packed with books, you will find the essentials for today’s class - the board for notes to be copied from; squishy bean bags of different colours, a few tables with three chairs arranged around each and, of course, Professor Joshi. She greets you in a tone filled with positive energy and warmth. Come in, have a seat. The lesson will get started shortly.
OOC: Welcome to this term’s Divination lesson! Please ensure that you have read the Rules and Guidelines, paying particular attention to the first rule that falls under the OOC category: labelling your posts with your student's name and House. A gentle reminder to also keep your character's chatter to a minimum.
A special thank you to Holmesian Feline for giving me permission to say the RP is being held in the library!
Class will commence in about 24 hours.Class has commenced!

Diego was in for a wonderful lesson, he imagined. The fourteen-year old found a comfort from the crystal ball and seatings so the change in the lesson taking place in the library had him intrigued. "Hello, Professor." He smiled before going to take a seat.
Hmm.. Diego decided that he will take the red bean bag chair. Dropping his bag before sitting and getting ready for the lesson.

Since class was taking place in the library, Aurora figured that the lesson had something to do with books, though she was curious to see in what way. She had been spending a lot more time in the library this term because of OWL studying, so she was very familiar with the place by now.
”Hello, Professor!” she greeted with a smile before sending a wave towards Diego. Plopping down on a purple bean bag, she got comfortable for a moment before starting to get ready for class.

Kara did not in fact recall that today's lesson was in the library. But thankfully she'd seen Diego headed this way and just followed his lead. What she did realize upon seeing Professor Joshi there with the books was that she was nearly positive she knew what today's lesson would entail, despite not being too familiar with Divination.
"Bibliomancy!" She blurted, probably a little too loudly, her cheeks flushing as she glanced around hoping Professor Cole hadn't heard that. She didn't think he was the type to complain of loudness, especially considering he allowed for a lesson to take place in here. But she still felt self-conscious the second after she spoke aloud. Following it up with a much quieter tone, "uh soorrrryy.. I just meant, that's why we're in the library today, right?? I read something about this method using books."
She plopped down on a blue bean bag chair beside Diego. Yea, she was just gonna be quiet now.

Practically skipping on her feet Mira came into the library with a sunny smile on her face, and her satchel full of class essentials slung over her left shoulder. The first year was just so excited to learn more about divination. Seeing older students who she assumed where here for divination class too, Mira followed them over to the place for the lesson waving, and greeting the professor with a sunny and curious smile. "Hello Profssor Joshi!" Before plopping herself down on very pink bean bag Mira asked "Can we learn learn about reading hands today professor? Or about centaurs because they too study the heavens, don't they?" Mira sat down on her chosen pink bean bag near the other students, and waved in greeting to all of them before opening her satchel to be ready for class.

When the first student arrived, Sarika was casually browsing one of the shelves. True, she knew many of the titles that had been arranged there but her eagerness for the lesson left her too restless to sit. “Oh hello, Diego!” The Gryffindor had been shown a genuine aptitude for the subject, which was quite refreshing.
SPOILER!!: Aurora!

“Good afternoon, Aurora,’’ Sarika called softly. Despite the lesson being held in the library, she hoped that everyone would adhere to the universal rule of speaking quietly in a library. As the student Hufflepuff selected a beanbag, the adult Hufflepuff turned the pages of a random tome she had plucked off a shelf.
SPOILER!!: Kara!

There was no denying it: Sarika startled. Not violently, in her opinion, but enough to send the book tumbling to the floor in a flurry of pages. So maybe it was violent, after all. “Kara Walsh!” she chastised, keeping that soft, husky tone. The professor stooped to retrieve the book, inclining her head in a bow to it. The gesture was something prevalent in her culture: knowledge was sacred so she was seeking the book's forgiveness for her tardiness. “Five points from Gryffindor for your outburst. I do expect that you will use your indoor voice for the duration of the lesson."

Ah, here was a visibly bubbly one. Sarika returned the greeting before giving Mirabelle a wink. “Not today, but perhaps in the coming weeks. I won’t say if we’ll focus on one or both topics as I’ll keep that as a surprise for you. Consider my lips sealed on the matter.” She mimed dragging a zip across her eggplant coloured lips.
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
With the time now being 2PM, the book was replaced before Sarika approached the gathering of students. “Welcome to another lesson, Oracles!” Her gaze took in her students' faces, pleased as always, to see them. “Before we get started, I would like to give you a reminder that it is expected that you speak in your indoor voices at all times; in other words, refrain from shouting or even elevating your voices in the slightest manner. There are other students making use of the Library as we speak.” Which was why Sarika could not close the doors to the place.
“Now!” Sarika’s hazel coloured eyes seemed to dance with excitement. How eager she was for her Oracles to partake in what was planned today. “We are surrounded by three large bookshelves, each of which are packed with books that are both fictional and non-fictional books, recent and those dating back even further. You are each to select one that ‘speaks’ to you. This can be a book you are familiar with, or a book completely new to you. Should you wish to have a book that’s not within your reach, you may use magic to acquire it, or ask an older student or myself for assistance. Afterwards, you are to return to your seats but at no time should you open the book.
“To prevent any chaos, I ask that Oracles seat in the beanbags approach the shelves first. Oracles seated at the tables will have their turn next. Each group will have a maximum of five minutes to make their selection. There should be no arguing over who gets to have any book as there are more than enough to go around. Lasty, remember to treat the books with kindness. There should be no folding the pages, scribbling in them or any other sort of defacing.” Sarika gestured at the shelves with a hand. “Beanbag Oracles, you may begin,’’ she instructed. “Desk and chair Oracles, I will give you your go-ahead in five minutes.”
OOC: Thank you for posting, my lovelies! The lesson is starting off with the mini activity which will run for two days - until Tuesday 14th October, sometime in the late evening. For any kiddos who chose to sit at the tables, simply pretend that Sarika has indicated it’s your turn to approach the shelves.
A reminder that since the lesson has officially commenced, anyone is free to jump in but simply not announce the arrival of their character
Had she talked too loud too? Mira didn't know, and worried she'd lose house points too just like Kara did, but luckily Professor Joshi just seemed happy that she showed interest in the subject. Letting out an almost inaudible sigh of relief Mira waited for the lesson to start, which it did in matter of minutes.
First instruction was to choose a book from the bookshelves that spoke to you. Mira rose from her bean bag, and walked around amongst the bookshelves until she spotted a very familiar book. Taking down a copy of 'Tales of Beedle the Bard' she returned to her bean bag with a smile on her lips. This book her mum and dad had read to her at bedtime when she was younger, and she loved all the stories.

"Hey Kara." Diego's beaming smile shone when she sat by him. Although she might have been a little too loud for the scene, costing them points. "It's okay, could've been worse." Not that he held a grudge, points can always be regained. Once the lesson begun, he tried to focus on what the Professor was saying.
Since he sat in the beanbags, he got up first to check out the shelves. He walked over to the fiction section, wheresome muggle authors were listed. He glanced for a moment at one book, but couldn't help going back to it, mainly because the boy's face on the cover was staring at him surrounded by other faces. It had a haunting look to it, so he grabbed it holding carefully before walking back to his seat.

There was a flurry of movements and Sarika did her best to keep an eye on everything; she felt that she would need a couple more pairs of eyes. She briefly zoned in on Mirabelle, noting that the Gryffindor browsed the shelves first before selecting a book. Though she could not make out the title from where she stood, she nodded for a short moment in approval. No trouble from Mirabelle nor disrespect to the books there!

Another Gryffindor Sarika took a moment to focus upon was Diego. Given his track record at Hogwarts, she expected no sort of trouble from him. She did note that he gravitated towards the shelves that housed the books penned by Muggle authors. The face of the boy printed on the cover was quite visible to her.

Because she hadn’t wanted to get in the students’ way, Sarika had opted to remain close to the board while keenly observing. She was pleased that she had not been given further reason to deduct any more House points. Then again, she thought, the lesson was far from over. Speaking of…
“One minute left, Oracles,’’ the woman called quietly. She watched as the last straggler hurriedly selected a book before rushing off to their seat. Now, Sarika moved closer to her students. “Ms. Walsh, in her earlier excitement, blurted out today’s topic.” Her tone was light and bore not a single trace of annoyance as she made this comment. It was lovely that a student had been able to hit the proverbial nail on the head.
“Bibliomancy.” On cue, the marker she had brought along zoomed up to the board to write the topic in black ink. This left Sarika to move freely among the students; it was also a great opportunity to take note of books that had been chosen. Her interest was piqued by their choices.
“What do you know about Bibliomancy, except the obvious of course, that books are used for foretelling the future? What do you think the process of Bibliomancy entails? In other words, what are the steps done when practicing this form of Divination? Or, if you prefer, you may simply choose to share why you selected the book in your possession. Why do you think you were drawn to it? Have you read it before? Please remember to raise your hand and wait to be called on.”
OOC: Hi, guys! This aspect of the lesson will run for 24 hours! Your character should only answer one of the two sets of questions In addition, catchup can be done.
Bibliomancy? Mira blinked in confusion. She had never heard of this branch of divination before. She could of course make a guess on what you could do to fortell the future with the help of her chosen book. Placing her tales of the beedle of the bard in her lap Mira raised her hand and said truthfully. "I've never heard of Bibliomancy Professor, but I can guess that we need to interpret the text in our chosen books in some way to get help with what our imediate future will hold for us."
Was bibliomancy well used? Mira doubted it but maybe Professor Joshi would give them all more facts about the method in a bit. Raising her hand again Mira added on "I chose the Tales of the Beedle of the Bard as my book because it represents home to me. I love the stories in the book because my parents used to read it to me every night at bedtime when I was younger."

“Not to worry, Mirabelle. We’re all here to learn.” Sarika gave the Ravenclaw a reassuring smile. “You would be correct. That is exactly how we use our chosen books for this form of Divination.” Behind her, the board was updated with the first notes. “Oh, what an absolutely lovely reason! Thank you for sharing.”
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Sarika continued her slow trek amongst her young Oracles. “Excellent answers! Now before we delve into our main activity, well, the first part of it, let’s talk briefly about the forms of Bibliomancy also known as Stichomancy. Notably, there are three forms: The Bookshelf Bibliomancy Method is the type used to find answers by asking a question, then randomly selecting a passage in a book chosen from a bookshelf; Single Book Bibliomancy involves the process of opening a personal and meaningful book before pointing to a random line or passage.” There was a pause in which she gave the students time to make their notes from her words; the board was also updated as a backup.
“The third method is a hybrid of the two, which is what we will be focusing on today, as our bookshelves have indicated for one. For another, some of you have chosen a book you deem personal.” Which had been the reason Sarika had made an effort to ensure that there was a vast mixture of books present. “Once note taking is wrapped up, take a moment to brainstorm a question that you want to have answered by Bibliomancy. It can be an open-ended question, meaning that it doesn’t require ‘yes’ or ‘no’ as an answer. As usual, do not share this question with anyone just yet. You have five minutes.”
OOC: This is the first part of the main activity, You have 24 hours to complete it/to catch up.

Welp. Had she really been that loud? She preferred to say enthusiastic. Also, if she was right in excitement, she totally should earn a point or two back for her knowledge of Divination. Or at least one aspect of the subject. "Sorry," she whispered, looking over to Diego, at least he didn't seem upset with her. She'd just gotten a little ahead of herself and spaced out on it being a library.
Acquiring a book. Having claimed a beanbag seat, it meant she was one of the first ones, to which she ran her fingers over the spines of each book, trying to see which one called to her. Eventually after spending the entirety of the five minutes completely indecisive, she just selected a red-spined book and took her seat again. Completely random perhaps, but the Gryffindor red was clearly meant to be. She would investigate what book she ended up with shortly.
For now they were continuing on and Professor Joshi acknowledged that bibliomancy was indeed correct. Sure she'd cost them points, but surely her correct knowledge should have been credited back to her in more than just 'acknowledgements'. Gryffindor pride perhaps, or maybe just some pre-teen angst, but she was feeling somewhat sulky in that moment.
It was for that reason that she chose to not answer the Professor's question about the subject. She already had somewhat said what she knew about anyway when she blurted it out on her entrance. As for why she chose the book? Because her five minutes was running out and the red spoke to her. Which was when she took a closer look, seeing The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo scrawled on the spine of the book. No she hadn't read it, but she got the sense Professor Cox probably has.
So she had to think of a question first and then would open up the book to reveal the answer? This was a weird method and Kara had to question its accuracy. Like what if she chose a book on quidditch. How would that help her answer a question? Unless the question related to bludgers and quaffles or something, which for some of her peers it probably would. She considered her question, thinking on what she knew about alchemy. It was kind of potions related, so maybe this was something in her future? She considered on perhaps the question should related to if alchemy was in her future. "You said, Professor, it doesn't have to be a yes or no question, but it can be, right?" Kara inquired after raising her hand. She was having a hard time thinking of questions that weren't yes or no.

Oooh, they got to choose a book. Aurora knew that there was a form of Divination where people looked at random passages from books. She was pretty sure that it was called Bibliomancy, though she had never tried it before.
Getting up from her beanbag, she started browsing through the books. Her impulse was to look through different Herbology books, but she felt that for this she would rather use a Muggle novel. So she scanned through those, until one with flowers on the cover got her attention. Pride and Prejudice. A very famous classic novel, and one that she had read before. It definitely worked.
Book in hand, she made her way back to her seat.
So it WAS Bibliomancy. Aurora was looking forward to what the book would tell her. But for the moment she raised her hand to answer the question. "To start with you would ask a question that you need an answer to. Then whatever passage you land on when you open the book would be the answer." She thought for a moment then added, "it's also ancient. I believe it was used by the Romans."
That done, she began taking notes as the different forms of Bibliomancy were mentioned. Then she would have to start brainstorming what question she wanted to ask. It was a good thing they had some time, because Aurora really needed to consider it.

The fact that Kara was apologetic for her… enthusiastically loud exclamation was enough. Sarika, nor anyone else, should be upset with her. She was pleased too, to see that Kara did not dwell on the happening and had used the full time allotted to pick a book - a red one, for Gryffindor, perhaps?
Kara could be as sulky as she wanted, though that would make Sarika a little sad, but what the third year did not know was that by blurting the topic out, she had altered the lesson plan slightly. It was more than okay though! It was already rectified. So when Kara didn’t volunteer an answer, her gaze lingered on her for a bit before calling on another student.
Had the professor known about those thoughts of doubt, she would have gently encouraged Kara to complete a few moments of meditation each evening to clear any turmoil from her mind which in turn may help to be more open to topics being taught, and not just in Divination. “Correct. Whichever route you choose to go, your question will be answered.”

Aurora did some browsing and seemed to be engaging in a slight struggle over what book to choose, but in the end, the task was accomplished. As for that answer to one of the questions, a nod of approval was given. “All true, Aurora. Since then, this practise has evolved, especially with many practitioners choosing to use books of any genre. The methods used to conduct the entire process remains intact, however.”
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
While Sarika had been interacting with the students, the marker had been busily zooming about, transcribing the facts of Bibliomancy and any answers that needed correcting or clarifying. Now, she paused in the middle of the gathering. “We have now come to the second aspect of our main activity where you will be conducting your very own reading using the book you have each selected.’’ Exciting, yes?
“If you look closer at the board, you will note the steps to completing a Bibliomancy reading. You are to perform your own reading, making your own notes and interpretation. As there will be no homework, you are to submit your work before leaving. Remember to label your parchment with your name, House and Year. You have fifteen minutes. Raise your hand if you need assistance. Off you go, my young Oracles!”

Steps to complete the Bookshelf-Single Book Method Bibliomancy Reading:
Pick a book you feel drawn to or you feel comfortable with from a bookshelf.
Think of a question.
Focus your attention on your question and clear your mind of everything else.
Close your eyes while balancing the book on its spine and let it fall open on your desk or lap.
With eyes still closed, touch your finger to any random passage.
Read passage {or line if you pointed at a stand-alone line} and see how it pertains to your question.
OOC: Thank you for posting! :3 The activity will end in the evening of Saturday 18th October! I will be around to post Sarika if a character needs help

Diego hadn't realized he had been pensieve throughout the lesson so far after selecting his book. He was thinking about the story in the book and how he felt a natural pull towards the book with the many faces staring at him, as if they held a deep secret in the morbid sense, while he was merely curious in fact. Perhaps he could ask about that after the lesson was over? He had read the book a few times in the past, but the details escape him outside the scenes of the kids in a dangerous cave and playing a morbid game.
Thinking of a question though, would this method work better if he selected a book he wasn't familiar with? He supposed all his questions did come from within him, wanting to know the unsettling truth with his past... could he handle that? Diego held the book closer to his chest as he felt a familiar heavy feeling. Jotting the notes down on what he had to follow, he thought of the question... Is she.. okay? The sounds of the classroom disappeared after a moment before he balanced the book on its spine before-
DROP
Letting the book fall onto his lap, high enough to unravel the book but low enough so it didn't bounce off of him onto the floor. Then letting his index finger rest on a random spot on the page. Tentatively, Diego opened his eyes to look down at the random page that was open to read...
Silence. Just the gentle running of the river, a distant giggling, far behind.
Diego blinked a few times. Wondering if this could be the answer he wanted for a long time. He felt something lift in him before he wrote down his interpretation. It was private stuff, that the Professor was already familiar with from previous conversations. So he merely added onto his theories.

What question did she want to ask? Aurora didn’t have too much time to to decide as they would be moving on shortly. She bit her lip as she thought. She had already asked if she would find love last term, so that wasn’t necessary (though she would have found a lot of material in that vein using this book). And she had asked various questions about friends and family in other lessons last term and this term as well. Today her mind started wondering about how she would do on her OWLs. Aurora wasn’t worried about them so much after her talk with Professor Dhruv near the start of term, but she still wanted to know how she would do on them. If all her studying would pay off.
Question in mind, she focused on it and cleared her mind of anything else. Will I do well on my OWLs? With the book balanced on its spine she closed her eyes and let it fall open on a page. Then reaching her hand out she let her finger fall randomly on the page. Opening her eyes, she read the passage she had landed on.
“I am the happiest creature in the world. Perhaps other people have said so before, but no one with such justice. I am happier even than Jane; she only smiles, I laugh.”
BEAM. That was definitely a positive result. The passage dealt with success and being very happy about it. It was clear to Aurora that the book was telling her that she would have great success with her OWLs, that her studying would really pay off. And while she was mostly concerned with focusing on her furure Herbology career, she wanted to do well in areas that weren’t related to it. Her sisters said it was her inner Hermione showing itself and they weren’t wrong.
Smiling, Aurora began writing these thoughts down for Professor Joshi.

Diego was more than welcome to approach Sarika after the lesson to discuss what was on his mind; she would welcome it because having discussions with her Oracles always made her day. A little distance from the Gryffindor, Sarika observed as he followed the instructions to the letter. The reason the woman never let the students share their interpretations during classes is because she knew a lot of them thought of extremely personal questions. Diego was among those so she sincerely hoped that whatever he had read in that book had brought him comfort to whatever question he had in mind.

Sarika would have been so pleased to know that Aurora was thinking about her OWL exams, enough to ask that question. Well, she would find out when she read the work turned in at the end of the lesson. The Hufflepuff was another Oracle who followed the instructions as outlined which was rewarding to witness. And when she saw that smile, Sarika knew Aurora had gotten the answer she wanted.
By now, it seemed that most of the students had finished writing their notes to turn in, while others were still scribbling; hopefully they were finishing up. “You’ve done excellently, everyone. I’m proud of each of you.” In all honesty, if they had been in a classroom, Sarika’s voice would have been a lot louder due to the pride she felt. “Now, as you wrap up your work, there’s just one matter I would like for you to ponder on before sharing your thoughts. Do you think practitioners of Bibliomancy would arrive at better or more accurate interpretations using a book they are familiar with? Why? Or why not?”
OOC: This is the final aspect of the lesson, my lovelies! You will have 24 hours for this one! <3

.Aurora was just wrapping up the final thoughts in her analysis when Professor Joshi moved the lesson along. After she had written the final sentence, she gave the question some thought before raising her hand to answer. "I do think that reading a book that you have a personal connection with would make the results more accurate because you have a relationship with that book. You know each other. I think that would make the results more meaningful than if you used a book that you don't connect to." That was what made sense to her at least.
As she took notes from the board on the bibliomancy method they were going to use Mira thought long, and hard on a question to ask. Did it matter for the reading if you were familar with the chosen book or not? Humming to herself Mira chose a question. Will I make many new friends this year?
With the question in her mind's eye she cleared her head of all other thoughts. With her book balancing on it's spine she closed her eyes and let the book drop down in her lap with a small PLOPP and let it fall open on a page in the beginning of the book. Using her index finger she let it fall down on a random passage on the page Mira opened her eyes and read the text.
Many voices. Lots of laughter, and kids running around playing tag.
Beaming Mira wrote down her interpretation of the passage which was that she was going to make many new friends in her first year at Hogwarts and have fun with them. Before Mira knew it the lesson was wrapping up they got a last question to answer. Raising her hand Mira said thoughtfully "I think it can be both professor for getting accuarate readings. If you use a book you havent read previously maybe the reading will be more accuarate since you subconciously won't be drawn to a certain story or passage like if you do the reading on a book you've read hundreds of times, but the familiar can be good too." If that made any sense? Mira thought she had lost herself in her line of thinking. Hopefully Professor Joshi understood what she meant.

Diego finished up his notes when the next question was posed. Adding to it, he then considered both theories. Rory had a point that when familiar with the book, there's a relationship already established. After all, one would feel the most comfortable with asking someone or something they are familiar with to trust their advice, especially if it was a very personal and deep subject. But on the other hand, the first year had a good point too in that having an unfamiliar book breaks a new perspective, perhaps like asking someone without bias attached.
With careful thought, he raised his hand to add when it was his turn. "Overall, both unfamiliar and familiar books have their own advantages. An unfamiliar book gives a fresh perspective, while a familiar book has the relationship tied as others mentioned. I think the best choice is to choose a book that you're more familiar with, since you have the added weight on context in the book that you might have no idea of with an unfamiliar book." It was a tough choice, but for Diego, he was glad to have chosen a book he had previously read.

Aurora’s hand was in the air first so that was whom Sarika called on. “Excellent insight, Aurora. Certainly books you feel closer with would in turn help you to feel more connected with the answer you receive.”

Sarika was pleased to see so many students having little to no trouble following the directions. It almost seemed to her that she was holding her breath as she waited for a reaction from Mirabelle. Only when the Ravenclaw’s lips formed a smile did she exhale. This woman loved to see her little Oracles happy!
“Wonderful insights, Mirabelle! While closing your eyes minimalises the chances of you choosing a passage you may be familiar with, what if you could not resist and ended up peeking a little? What if you saw the very first passage or dialogue on that familiar page, and you’re immediately able to draw a conclusion as to what scene is being played out there? There is a chance, once you close your eyes again, you can try to seek out a passage which can lead you to having the interpretation you seek.”
SPOILER!!: Diego!

It was quite refreshing to listen to another thought; Sarika never failed to marvel at the depths at which her students would think through a question before answering. “Indeed, an unfamiliar book can offer an unfamiliar and new perspective. It will force you to think deeper when it comes to interpreting your questions, rather than if you were seeking your interpretations from a familiar book. Great contribution, Diego.”

A quick scan of the gathering told her that there were no more hands raised. “There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to which type of book you choose - familiar or unfamiliar. An answer to what you seek can be found regardless of the type. So never hesitate, my Oracles, when selecting a book when practising Bibliomancy.” There was a brief pause. “With that, we’ve come to the end of today’s lesson. Return the books back to the shelves before you depart. And remember to hand me your interpretations before you leave, please.” Sarika too would like to depart as soon as she could - after reverting the set up back to its original state, of course. There was an important message she needed to send: it was the day she find out if her brother had successfully been able to adopt the prettiest little girl. Oh, to be an aunt again!

Kara probably regretted asking the question though because more than likely her question was going to be answered with a yes or no. But now that she considered it even more, the passage in the book would probably be ambiguous which made things all the more confusing for the third year. She wasn't drawn to this book other than the red colouring, Gryffindor red if you will. Closing her eyes she attempted to clear her mind, thinking of what she was wanting to know. Despite two years ago being a newbie to the game, Gobstones was somehow on her brain.
So her question, will we win again? was what came to mind.
She balanced the book on its spine, kind of wishing she'd chosen a thicker book, and it quickly fell open. Eyes still closed, she rested her finger in the middle of the page and opened her eyes "There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure" Well that was a weird thing to talk about when her question was about winning. Fear of failure would certainly get in her way.
As far as the final question that Professor Joshi posed, it was interesting one. "I think... it's kind of like people. On some regards the people we're most familiar with would give us more accurate interpretations of ourselves, because of their knowledge of us. They know of us, they can tell us the truth because we can handle it. But also, sometimes a fresh perspective might arrive at greater truths, so perhaps Mirabelle is onto something in saying that both can be useful."
And just like that, the lesson was over.
"Thank you, Professor for the very insightful lesson. Do you think we can maybe checkout our books for some more practice later and to also read it, if its one we haven't read before? The passage i landed on has me intrigued."

Oh, but one could still argue that Kara was indeed drawn to the book even if it was simply because of the colour. Nevertheless, the Bibliomancy process was correctly completed, though it was difficult for Sarika to gauge whether the Gryffindor was pleased or disheartened with the interpretation made. Not all were as straightforward as others.
“I like that you were able to make a comparison using humans, Kara. Sometimes we revel in the familiar but indeed a change can be what we need. Never be afraid to venture out into the unknown; it can be where you find exactly what you’re looking for.
Then it was Kara’s turn to hand over her work from the lesson. “Excellent initiative, Kara. You can. Have you any overdue books? If you do, you may need me to vouch that you’ll return them along with this one.” Sarika winked, but she knew that Marcus would be able to work out something if needed.
