 Exiting the subway station for Charing Cross instantly takes you to Trafalgar Square, which is at the south of Charing Cross Road and extends to a number of other streets. The square has been a significant landmark since the 13th century. The bulk of the square is taken up by Nelson's Column, surrounded by four bronze lion statues, and two large fountains featuring dolphins, mermaids, and tritons. In the corners of the square are four plinths, one of which is swapped out for another from time to time, and up a flight of stairs is the National Gallery.
A number of Muggle ceremonies are hosted here during major holidays, such as a seasonal tree ceremony prior to Christmas and a New Years celebration. The space is also occasionally used for political demonstrations, premieres, parade destinations, and more. This area is still primarily used today as a public gathering spot. With that being said, wizards and witches that find themselves here will know better than to whip their wands out.
Heading directly south of the square on Whitehall Road, the Ministry entrances can be accessed.

It was rubbish if he thought he wasn’t model pretty. She had noticed it a bit last term. But after seeing him kiss someone else she figured telling him would be a bit awkward. So instead she just tamped that down and let it rest. As one Charlotte Rivers was prone to do.
Wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug she inhaled a bit for that distinct Cooper smell. She could only hope a curl didn’t tickle his nose. It made her smile a bit hearing him say she looks good too. “You’re too kind. I’m thinking about a tattoo. It sounded better at home when I asked my parents. Now I’m debating a piercing. What do you think?” she leaned back from the hug more. Wanting to gain some confidence from someone else.

It was...pretty easy to not see himself as one when there were literal models in their class and he saw the way others looked at them. Asking why he wasn't looked at that way had been a mistake too, the answer doing nothing more than unsettle him. "Too great" was a concept he had never considered possible...and while it should have been a compliment...it felt like a burden.
But...anyway...he was trying to work through that and being so in his element all summer had helped.
"Oh," he replied, eyes wide and not sure he expected that to come out of her mouth. Not that he had had any expectations to begin with, truthfully. He also figured both hurt, one more than the other, but he decided to leave those thoughts out of things. "I...think whatever it is you feel comfortable doing...you should go for it. You may feel apprehensive now about getting a tattoo...but once you head into Paradise you may change your mind. See something that really strikes a chord with you and that you'll want permanently inked into your skin." He...could not imagine himself doing the same, but that was him. "Or a piercing." Adds on, not entirely as an afterthought but to make sure he covered everything. "I think anything will suit you, so as long as you like the choice."

Okay, so maybe he hadn't kissed the person but they were close so she probably read into it more than she should have. Was that the mean feeling of jealousy Charlie. Get it together girlfriend. She smiled listening to all of the logic he had. "You know your wise look on life and choices is still amazing to me." She smiled pulling back but keeping her hand on his forearm to keep him close enough to keep the conversation going. "Have you gotten to hang out with any creatures lately? Or get any good pictures of any lately?"
She was going to wait and hear his answer but before she could let him answer she decided to be bold, "Come with me and hold my hand while I do either one?" Her nervous smile came across her face while hoping he would absolutely go with her.[/color]

He may point out that maybe she shouldn't assume things about him...especially in light of the rumors that had been flying around after the incident between himself and Olivia that had left him feeling like complete and utter rubbish. Even more insecure than he had been already. Also...she ought to know him well enough by now to know he wouldn't be doing such things in public places where others could see IF he were doing them at all. He had sort of been frazzled by literally everything since the start of term train ride LAST summer were Zoey had been flaunting her legs all over and, in her own words, flirting with him quite transparently...only to back away when he asked of her intentions since she had been the one to mention how her gestures usually led to snogging.
Being a teenager was very confusing...and he was getting moderately sidetracked.
Cooper couldn't help but chuckle, and rub the back of his neck as he looked down with reddened cheeks from her praise. It was a look that, as he realized, he was better at offering to others than he was taking on himself. It didn't used to be that way though and he wasn't sure where he had lost his shine in that regard...but he was working on getting it back. Figuring his sheepish smile spoke for him, he looked back at Charlie and nodded to her question. "I've been working with Celyn's brother, Derfael, on their rescue sanctuary...there are loads of creatures there and things were really busy while she and him were off in the Amazon during July." Which was why he felt bad he had taken off for France for a whole week...but maybe not too bad because that had been an amazing experience. "I got to go to France and work with an abraxan breeding and jockey...his ranch is one that supplies Beauxbatons with the ones that pull the carriage." There was another pause from the Ravenclaw and an accompanied chuckle. "I lost track of how many rolls of film I took...somewhere around 11...I think..."
11 rolls with approximately 35 exposures each.
His eyes widened a bit in surprise. "Oh...oh you mean right now." He wasn't sure why that startled him but it did. Nothing he couldn't take easily in stride, however. "Of course," he smiled, offering his hand now - that was part of the request, right? The journey TO Paradise was part of the whole experience, after all. "Maybe I'll get a whole abraxan flying across my chest," he added as a lighthearted tease.
He wouldn't ever...or at least...he was fairly certain he wouldn't. Not today for sure.
