The Prize and Award table is set up for all to see. How do you receive these special items you might ask? As you entered tonight’s special event you were giving a ticket. Make sure you hold onto it, because towards the end of the evening there will be ticket numbers called and if your number is the one called you will receive one of the special prizes donated for the event by none other than your fabulous Diagon Alley Shops. That’s not all, the winning team of this evenings bowling will be receiving the shrunken head medals you see sitting at the end of the prize table. Special thanks to all the shops who graciously donated items.

OOC: Here are just a few things on how the prizes are going to work! After you post in the START HERE thread with your charrie(s), Govoni will edit your post with one of our festive raffle tickets! This will assign you a number (which will be randomly given using a number generator)! Once the ball has been dropped at IC!Midnight (Feb. 9th), look for an official post by The Chronicler with a list of numbers (again, randomly number-generated) and the prizes that have been won. Usernames will also be posted along side the ticket numbers!

Since it doesn't matter how many DA/MoM charries you play at this event, we are putting a TWO CHARACTER PER MEMBER limit on how many you may sign up to receive raffle ticket numbers. This is being done for OOC and IC fairness!

Victoria entered the bowling alley and looked around. Wow it looked wonderful. She was very excited to be getting out for the evening. The babies left with her parents for the night it was a great way to spend New Years Eve with her amazingly handsome fiance. Holding tightly to his hand she looked around. "Thank you" She smiled as she was handed a ticket for the prize table. Hmm that was interesting.

"Why don't we go over and check that out first." She smiled towards Charely. "You didn't care that we didn't bowl tonight, right?" She wouldn't have minded if he wanted to, but she really wasn't much of a fan. Plus the night out dressed up, she didn't to do much work, just enjoy the company of everyone and have a good time.

Jorge walked in casually. He would have went and picked up Mariel for an actual date if it wasn't for seeing their bowling team for the evening. As casual as he always was he had a feeling it was going to be an interesting night. Since he was part of the planning he wanted of course to make sure it was going on all right, so he had to be there early, but if he could stop any unnecessary drama between him and Maria before Mariel showed up that would be an added plus. Of all people to be put on his team. Not that he minded looking at her as she bowled, no she was certainly easy on the eyes, but in his experience with furious females it never was good.

Waving off the ticket since he was part of the planning he wouldn't be part of the prizes he looked around. This place looked nice. He double checked to make sure he had his parchment for notes, it would make a pretty good story about the success of the event and probably some great pictures could be taken from the night. Now where was his lane and where was Maria or even Angelina, since he wasn't sure how he would act around her either. She was certainly on his favorites to flirt with. Time to work on the less drama the better policy for the night.

Ainsley practically skipped to the bowling alley. She was looking forward to meeting her team and playing the game. She had never really bowled before and she hoped that she didn't bring down her team. It was all in good fun, and she was definitely planning on having some fun. As soon as she walked in she received a ticket. "Oh lovely."The shops were very generous in their gifts and it would surely be nice to win.

Her eyes scanned the prize table and she couldn't help, but to think that those trophies would look nice sitting on her desk at work, but that was not really what she was here for. She wanted to have a good time and hopefully make some new friends. If they happened to win that would be awesome, but not something that truly mattered to her.

With the ministry on holiday break and spending Christmas with his family, Simon had a pretty open schedule. It wasn't like he had much to consider other than his job although for once he was somewhat grateful for the days off. The auror having been working hard trying to fix the security issues he had been assigned to.

Regardless he had some free time and when the sign-ups for the bowling event had went up, he had added his name to the game on a whim. No point in not taking the chance to have a little fun when he could. At bowling seemed a bit more his style to celebrate the new year then simply attending a party and trying not to get bored as he attempted to mingle. There would be plenty of time for that when the ministry reopened and had one of its own events like it usually did.

So after dressing up semi-nice to go with the theme, he arrived at the bowling alley. A place he admitted he had never stepped inside and only aware of its presence when he was on patrol along Diagon Alley. It seemed Simon was relatively early as only a few had already appeared at the starting point he had been directed to. He retrieved a raffle ticket and looked around for further ideas on his surroundings.

One could only wonder who would be on his team. The only one he knew was Angelina, just one of the positive notes of the evening. At least he'd have a friend nearby.

Joscelind's face was flushed from the cold outside and the excitement filling her since ~~morning~~ she decided to come to this sporty ball. She liked formal and dancing balls where she had to dress up and use her acting skills in showing how much fun she was having with phony people, but that was also a part of her father's schedule for the holidays and it was a relief to break that sacred tradition this once. Wearing comfortable casual (and cute, she might add) outfit, Jessa walked into the Bowling Alley. Cassie was with her today too, so this was just fun layered with more fun and bickering! The perfect night was about to start.

"A ticket?" She looked down at the table, the coupouns and at the top were the medals. Her eyes might have twinkled a little there, and she smiled to herself. Even if she never bowled in her life, how hard could it be? She was ready to stretch and roll some balls!

Ebenzer came to the Bowling Alley with only one Mindset. WINNING. The Owl Post Office Assistant wandered towards the Prize Table and shook his head at the weird Owl Stuffed Animal. Couldn't have they come up with a better prize than this?
SO LAME!
He didn't know much about Bowling but know it required good aim, and as a competative Gobstoner Eb knew he had that! He refused the Ticket, and moved on over to his Teams Bowling Lane...Red Re'ems...He hated Red.

How Hard can Bowling really be?

So Bowling...since when was Charlie so into bowling? Saul X entered into the Bowling Alley and walked in with Charlie clinging to his arm. "How good are you at bowling anyways?" The MLEer asked his Fiancée. Moving across the Prize Table Saul noted a few good things, what really caught his attention was the Year Supply of Pet Food, Delivery, and Grooming. Charlie's Dog would not be a burden to their place...~~in his mind at least~~...any longer. Receiving his ticket saul glimpsed down at it to memorize the number. Just in case it was misplaced or something.

Nolan Reynolds hadn't been bowling in FOREVER. But, he was looking for something to do with his wife and kids for the New Year, and even though Ginger wasn't playing (and Scarlett and Clay were much too young to participate) they were still there to be his personal cheerleaders. As they got a bite to eat, he headed over to the prize table and decided to throw his name into the pot. Why not? Couldn't hurt!

He grabbed his ticket and thanked the person running the table before setting off again to find the fam.

Nolan was a little tired. Sleep fighting would do that to you especially when you are losing. He was here for food and bowling second. Every bowling alley Nolan has been to has had some cheap hamburgers and that is what makes then good. Since he was part of the planning. No ticket for him. Look at all those prizes though. Some great teamwork went into this.

Purple Dragons was a awesome name for a team. Dragons eat meat and that makes them okay in Nolan's book.

Speaking of YATI, there was someone he knew from the Department. Jory approached. "Hi, Simon,'' he greeted the Auror. Just then, he was handed a ticket. Some sort of a raffle? Awwwwww yeah, the Bowling Ball was here! Fletcher was immensely looking forward to the event and hoping to run into his two shopkeepers too. What a better way to check up on the biz than by bowling and having a little fun while in the process?

He scoped out the prize table and received his raffle ticket, then happily proceeded on down to his lane. TEAM PURPLE DRAGONS WHUT WHUT.

Jack made his way to the bowling alley excited to be a part of this Wizarding Bowling Tournament. As he entered he saw a prize table and as he approached it he recieved a ticket and realized this was a raffle and grinned. Hey, I might win something today, cool. Now to get my lane and meet my teamates

Chloe headed into the bowling alley excited just to watch the wizarding bowling tournament. She wondered how much it may differ from the muggle ones she grew up with. She could not wait to see. She then saw a prize table and approched it and recieved a raffle ticket. Cool, I could win something just as a spectator, AWESOME!!!

Jasmine was interested in the bowling tournament. She wasn't really a good bowler but she wanted to try. Plus the holidays were coming up so she thought this was a great way to get into the spirit. As she approached the raffle table, she made her way to go get a ticket. She wanted to win some prizes. After she got her ticket, she went over to go find her team, the Purple Dragons. That team name even sounded cool in itself.

She wondered who could be on her team....anyone she knew?

"Appreciate it," Charely smiled across the prize table once he was given a ticket. That also wasn't the first time he said those words today. "It's kind of nice having our own time again." Gently squeezing his beautiful soon-to-be-wife, Vic's hand before they continued along. What could he say, he loved the whole family.

"Sure thing, dear." Wherever she was going, he was tonight. "I think it's best I don't bring out my Quidditch skills tonight." Because hello, ex-Chaser. Those pins would likely break with that and the recent strength building he's been doing lately. "I'd much rather team with you tonight."

Free Ice cream.. Yeah, Val was glad to have come to an agreement with Colby on what they could give.. Actually, it was only thing they could give, but still. It was the good side to him arriving to bowl. He could care less on the other prizes.

Well, maybe one of the good sides to it. Passing along the prize table to where a once stranger was. Why not scare the guy by saying something in his ear, "You know you're going down.." Dragons versus.. whatever was on EB's red bowling uniform. It made sense to Val who was the real winner here.

Vincent walked in with a small sigh. He really didn't want to do this anymore... He couldn't even remember why he'd signed up. All he knew was he never backed out of a promise and he'd promised to be part of this team... but now he was kind of regretting it seeing how his fiance just dumped him... Or well... it was a mutual break up but it still stabbed him where as she had clearly already moved on since she was already engaged to another man. So maybe they'd get this over with fast... or as his sister said, maybe he'd meet someone new who would make him forget all about Rachel.

That wasn't likely but he could hope right? Vince looked around and paused, tickets? What were these for? He took a ticket though and just went to look for his team. The Orange something or another... He'd know the name later... no need right now he was sure until he knew his team mates.

Cassie walked into this bowling ball thing with Jessa and looked around. In all truth, she had bowled before with Brynn but just had no time to actually come in and sign up and all that. She was just too busy with work and...well life.

But here she was giving moral support and alll that for one of her bfffffffff, Jessa. Yeah she kinda owed her for this because there was a lot of work at home waiting for her when she got back.

Mariel took her time getting ready for this New Year's Eve whatever since Jorge said he had to be early to set up. Just gave her that much more time to look stunning for the event. She would admit that she wasn't all that impressed that this ball would be held at a bowling alley, especially since it wasn't exactly something she did. Wasn't it a muggle game anyway? But she always managed to find amusement in nearly any situation and she was sure to find it in this as well. In fact, she had grown to look forward to it after a few side bets and getting in some secret practice at a muggle bowling alley not far from her house. Muggles often proved to be entertaining.

Besides, not to mention that she wanted to spend the evening with Jorge, her close friend Victoria was meant to come too. With the Ministry closed and her taking a few leaves just before that, they hadn't had much time to catch up lately. That would have to change.

First thing she noticed as she walked in was a prize table and was handed a ticket. Alright then. She supposed that was a nice touch. So now where was she headed? Lane five she was fairly sure he said and green eyes searched for the right location as she headed further in.

It was actually probably for the best that she wasn't on the same team as her husband. If only for the simple fact that it would be a total unfair advantage to anyone they were matched against. But Amelia did feel slightly bad because those Grindelows were going down - why shouldn't they though? They like it down under ~~the water~~.

Super pumped and excited for the night, Amelia walked in with Tancred. "You ready to get beaten?" She asked playfully, as she took one of the raffle tickets she was handed.

It had been a fair while since Trixie had visited Diagon Alley. It was mainly due to how busy she was. With four children and a full time career in which she was planning on expanding, the woman had barely had any time for herself. But today she had decided, after completing her shift at Mungo's to come have a brief peak in at the bowling competition at the bowling alley. She'd never been in here before, it just wasn't her thing but as it was new years eve and she felt like socialising a little, the blonde haired woman had left her children with her parents and a note on her kitchen table to her husband. He could join her if he wished, the company would be much appreciated.

Despite she being sure that the event probably wasn't formal, the former Head Girl couldn't help but to dress in nothing short of perfection. She had picked out a dress and a pair of heels that she felt completely comfortable in. The woman entered the venue and briefly glanced around before heading towards the table. She took the raffle ticket with a friendly smile.

This would mark the first ever Diagon Alley event that Octavia had attended. The woman would have to admit that so far she had been fairly impressed by London and its potential for her future. She was living in Northumberland and had only been visiting Diagon a couple of times since moving to Britain. She was quite sure now that she would stay, depending on whether she would get a suitable career that was.

At 45, she was no youngster and the mature woman entered the venue with lowered expectations. Bowling was certainly not her forte. She preferred sailing and dressage herself and so therefore she had arrived as a spectator and not as a competitor. It was better off that way, she had never picked up a bowling ball in her life.

As she sauntered over to the table to collect a raffle ticket, she took the opportunity to have a brief glance around. Not too shabby. If she enjoyed watching, she may give it a go in the future.

Knowing full well that Jorge would be doing anything BUT Daily Prophet work this evening, Basil cleared out his not-so-busy evening schedule to attend the event. He had even bothered to put on one of his best red plaid sweaters for the shindig. While he would have preferred to attend this as his other self, slip in inconspicuously and be more of a 'fly' on the wall, face time with the world was also necessary. Plus, he could at least show his reporter that he DID get out.

Even if it was to this place where germs were EVERYWHERE.

Spraying his hands with his tiny tiiiiiiiiny bottle of rubbing alcohol, he approached the prize table and made sure not to touch anything. He was also going to be sure to disinfect his ticket once he got it. No telling just where all it had been prior to landing in his hands.

While he was sure that it was going to be Harley that would take longer to get ready tonight, his hair had ended up being a bit more of a struggle than he had anticipated. However, after about an hour in front of the mirror the crisis had been averted. He knew his hogging the mirror had probably made Harley one grumpy woman, but he was hopeful that the fact that she got to dress up and look even more knock-out-ish than usual would put her in good spirits.

He was counting on it anyway.

Or should could pretend that the pins she was knocking down were his face until she let all the annoyance at him out. That could work too. He just hoped she was in a good mood come midnight.

Taking the bowling boots he had bought out of his black leather bag, laces tied together so he could sling them over his shoulder, he looked at his girlfriend and grinned. "So, between the two of us, who do you reckon will get the most strikes tonight?"

It had been a loooong while since Cleo had been in Diagon Alley. Being away in France for school for a bit, then trying to find a job there after she graduated, it seemed the last time she had actually been there for more than a few minutes was when she interned there. She made a mental note to inquire about working opportunities as she walked up to get a ticket.

Wow. And last time she had been there, her darling Maman had made her wear torture devices as shoes. She giggled, quite uncharacteristically, as she looked down at the worn boots she wore. Nice and cozy and COMFY, which was the most important.

So yeah. Tickets. Cleo extended a manicured hand (again the work of the lovely Mrs. Rawthorne) and took a ticket. Hmm. Doubtful that she would win, but might as well try anyway.

Upon entering the bowling alley, green eyes roamed about. It was Kennedy's first time at this place, and he was only here because a certain someone had advised it to him. Apparently he was taking on more than a twenty-one year old should. It was true, but it was life. If he didn't do it, then who would?

But all of that didn't matter right this moment. He wasn't going to put this event to waste with thoughts about things he couldn't change at this very exact moment. So have fun? Sounds like a plausible idea.

Taking the ticket handed to him, Kennedy tucked it into his jacket and walked toward the lanes.

Amelia had never been to the Bowling Alley before, hadn't even known there was a Bowling Alley if she was being honest. How long had this been here? She'd have definitely come when she was a student if she'd known, since then though she'd been in Paris. When she'd heard about this little event she just had to come though. It was her competitive nature coming out.

Scanning over all of the gifts Amelia couldn't help but be awed at how generous the shop keepers were being with their donations. She so wanted to win some of this stuff. Even if she didn't though she was sure to have fun while competing.

Eb was just about to make his way to his Lane when he felt a Terrifying Whisper into his ear. Half his mind told him to whip out his wand and hex the threat back into whoever's mouth it came out of. The other half, he followed. Turning to see Val, THAT MAJOR CREEP from The Leaky a while back. "Ha!" Ebemezer Laughed. "I can't Imagine Dragons Ever Winning Anything except Dinner." The Owl Post Assistant Crossed his arms, and smirked. "How about a wager, if you're so confident you can beat me, and my team?"

Freddie had been delayed at university finishing up a paper that had been causing him some stress. Usually the sort to get things out of the way as quickly and efficiently as possible, he had been procrastinating over this particular, grueling, subject. But he had finally finished it and handed in, concluding that he would be able to relax and enjoy the New Year celebrations with out the worry of it on his mind. And he was right, it was like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

He had arrived home to find an empty house, and a note from Trixie letting him know she had gone on ahead to the celebrations. He didn't blame her really; he would have been fed up of waiting too. Not wanting to delay further, he didn't bother to change, thinking it seemed like an informal event by the sounds of it. He merely washed his face, checked his reflection in the mirror and put on some of his cologne. He made sure to wrap up warm for heading out. For a man with some Russian blood, ironically given the climate there, he felt the cold terribly.

He apparated to Diagon and headed to the festivities.

Raffle tickets? Well.. why not? He took one with a nod and a pleasant 'Thank you.'

Now...

Where was his wife?

He went off in search of the pretty blonde woman.
