As you enter, you notice that the center of the shop has been temporarily redecorated to hold its grand re-opening event. Couches and loveseats have been added around the store, as well as small, round tables filled with refreshments and snacks for the guests. The counter still sits at the heart of the shop, but several small gift bags, containing a number of products samples, have been added to it. All guests are invited to take one gift bag of beauty goodies to try out the new products. There are three different types of bags, a pink, a purple, and a white one, and all contain assorted products. The pink one contains: Bronze Me Golden, Not-so-sleeping beauty, Lash Blast Potion, Rapunzel Rapunzel, Flavour Changing Lip gloss by Ellsberry; The purple one contains: Humidity Immunity Potion, Perfect Vision Potion, Sunburn Unburn, Isphere Spectrum, Skin-Brightening Foundation Potion by Ellsberry; And finally the white one contains: Porcelain Perfect potion, Pimple Poofer, Heat Protection Potion, Hair colour changing potion, Gallerina Nail polish by Ellsberry. Feel free to look over them and choose whichever one you want!
At the center of the counter there is a large cauldron filled with beauty potions, enough of them to last for a whole year. If you're interested in it, ask the shopkeeper or her assistant about a raffle ticket. You might just be the lucky one to win enough potions to turn an entire hag colony into veelas. The aisles with all of the products are still easily accessible on the sides for people to browse through them, which they are encouraged to do. In the very back of the shop, against the magical beauty emergencies room, a podium has been added with two small displays, one on each side of the podium, with the name Ellsberry on it, containing several different products and small samples. For now, everyone is encouraged to come in, mingle, ask questions, and look around. The shopkeeper is standing by the front door awaiting her special guests...

Being at the launch of the new beauty shop, and seeing for herself what all the fuss was about with the new products, was something Lights would have just loved - if she wasn't her on a job. She sighed, folding her arms and leaning against a wall with her ankles crossed, looking around for any familiar faces. Hel-lo MLE? Anyone know what we're doing here?
Just as Lights was going to pack in the 'trying to look like she was supposed to be here as opposed to lost' act, she saw another equally out-of-place-looking person and decided that he was in the same boat as her. So naturally, she went right up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey," she smiled. "I'm Lights. I'm guessing you're in this for MLE too?" Wild shot in the dark there, but that was perfectly normal for her.
It seemed like he had arrived early enough to where nothing big had happened yet besides the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Minister of Magic (he would have to eventually, he concluded, say hello them since he was an employee of the Ministry after all) and some celebrity that had people dogging her everywhere. Despite living in England for the past four years, Rodrigo hadn't gotten into much of the British popular culture yet, and preferred to keep up to date with the happenings in Spain. However, he was starting to think it was rather awesome that he was at a high-profile event, despite the fact that it was a beauty shop. Just when he was about to pass out from the noxious combination of scents, and the front door was looking highly convenient, a woman walked up from behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. The Spaniard spun around, slightly alarmed by the suddenness, and realized that the woman worked in the same Department as him.
"Er, hi," he said. "I'm Rodrigo. And yes, I'm here because of the notice Ferguson placed in MLE. It's dreadful, really. I'm lightheaded from all of these combined scents." he rubbed his temple and sighed. "You're in MLE too, aren't you? I think I've seen you around. . . " his voice trailed off as he tried not to breath in too much of the fumes from the giant cauldron nearby.

Raising her eyebrow she looked down at the display infront of her and kept walking until she felt something. Warmth. Looking up she realized she was about one inch away from someone.
Someone she didn’t know. It wasn’t like walking into Simon wasn’t awkward but walking into a complete stranger - was just odd.
“Sorry” she flushed as she took a step back from the guy in front of her. He didn’t look familiar - maybe he hadn’t gone to Hogwarts...but he looked about her age.
Rodrigo was quite glad someone came to talk to him. He wasn't terribly shy, but it seemed like he was too out of touch with the British wizarding public to socialize sufficiently at an event such as this. He was talking to a woman from MLE when he could sense that someone was right next to him, out of his peripheral vision. He turned as he heard her apology.
"Oh, hello there," he said, smiling. Her face was flushed with what he could only interpret as embarrassment. He shrugged, signifying that it was all alright.
"Not to worry," he said calmly. "I'm Roderigo," he reached forward to shake her hand. He had no idea who she was; she didn't look one bit familiar to him.

And naturally, she did. Always. Her heels were high, blue, golden accents, and absolutely stunning. In said heels, she tapped and sashayed from her apartment to the familiar Alley.
Upon her entrance to Primpenell's, Neptune wiggled her fingers at her sister, Ellsworth, and to Celandine and Evolette, as well. Hello, people and family. Hello. Ta, even. But she wasn't here for them, she was here to be seen, and to .... well what else? Be seen. Oh and so Ellsworth would keep sending her clothes and shoes and stuff.
Oh boy.

She was GOOD at that sort of thing, EXPERT even, did he KNOW? Neptune gave the man a solemn, big-eyed nod. He MUST.
Yet ANOTHER person had approached Rodrigo. He had no idea he would be this popular, for reasons unlike one who is popular. He was just a young Spaniard living in London and happened to work for the British Ministry of Magic. That's all! Although this woman was quite a character. Rodrigo smiled as she posed and simply insisted on helping him. However, he was quite sure it was unnecessary.
"Oh, I work for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and all of the employees were requested to attend...." he answered unenthusiastically. At the mention of helping him pick out some cosmetics, he chuckled.
"Oh well. . . I don't have a wife or girlfriend or anything of that sort..." he said, looking down in slight embarrassment. "May I ask who you are?" he asked timidly, for some reason frightened by what her reaction could possibly be. For some reason her face stood out to him but he couldn't recall as to why...

When she reach the couple she spoke firmly and assertively. "Madame Lafay," she leaned over and softly pressed her right cheek against Lafay's, then did the same for the left one, and as she did this she made a soft smacking sound with her lips. "I'm Lucifera Valentine, the shopkeeper. We're honored to have you here, you smell lovely," she said as she returned to an upright position. "I have followed some of your work, and I must offer you an opportunity, if you ever brew a beauty-related potion, to display and sell your work here."
She then turned to the Minister and instead of kissing him, she took his hand and shook it lightly. "Hello, Minister, I'm Lucifera Valentine, the shopkeeper. Thank you for taking time off your busy schedule, Minister Greingoth. We truly appreciate it." She said the words and affirmed her statement with another nod. She didn't really know what else to say to him, plus he was a little too tall and she didn't like looking up to men. "Thank you for helping us with the nargles problem, by the way. I'm not sure I could have taken care of that without some of your staff members."
Alexander was a bit taken aback by the sudden presence of an unfamiliar woman greeting his wife with two kisses on the cheek. He watched the two with an amused smirk on his face. Then when he heard the woman identify herself and make a possible business connection with his wife, he cleared the smirk off his face and approached the conversation with a bit more seriousness.
"Miss Valentine," he said, firmly shaking her head in return. He took another glance around the establishment, figuring it to be polite to speak of it first. "Nice place you have here. I wish you well in your..." Pause. What was this place again? His eyes fell upon a sample of potions and then he turned quickly back to the shopkeeper. "...beauty potions."
Then she was thanking him for being here today, and really, what sort of Minister would be he if he didn't mingle with the people? Alexander Greingoth had been born knowing it's 'who you know' in this world that got you somewhere, and he'd always used the knowledge to his advantage. "Wouldn't have missed it," he said with a grin. Then she was thanking him for his assistance with the Nargle issue, and truth be told, he had little of an idea what she was talking about. He remembered an infestation, but he hadn't been on the job. One of the departments had. "Nargles," he said, nodding slowing, processing the information. Did Nargles even exist? Hmm. "Well, Miss Valentine, I'm glad to hear your..." Pause. "...infestation of sorts has been taken care of."

She simply smiled at her, and held her husband's arm.
... you had to look your best for just the right people?!
Well, at least she was introduced as his wife. And as Hecate Lafay.
... wait... He was? When did he just tell her this woman was the new... Oh... he meant right now. Right. "Charmed..." She said nodding to the woman.
The woman did the air kiss thing...
Weird...
She was about to hex the woman for doing that, when she realized she was the owner of the shop. "Oh..." So she was interested in her potioneering. That made her feel much much better. "I shall certainly consider it..." She said and looked about the shop. "You seem to have a good amount of stalk... do you have any suggestions... for me?"
... she looked at Alexander. "Nargles?"
At the feel of his wife's hand on his arm, Alexander turned his attention to the woman standing next to him. Oh, if he could hear her thoughts now! He could almost read them, and if he was correct, which he nearly always was, she wasn't too happy with her surroundings. Something else seemed to be eating away at her, but he knew better than to question that now.
She wanted suggestions for herself? That didn't seem like the Hecate he knew. She could care less about anything in this store. Then again, this sort of thing was often necessary for connections, he knew, so in the end, he decided to leave it alone. "Nargles," he repeated, "or so I've heard."

"Oh here you just made it worse." Inez had watched the minister mess with his tie which just made it more askew. She reached her hands up to his chest and quickly straightened it out. "There you go, Alexander."
Oh they were back to his wife, she didn't seem very sociable. "Oh no I don't think we officially met. Inez Grey." she stuck her hand out to shake it before speaking again, something that had bothered her. "Lafay? I see you chose to keep your maiden name, surely as to not confuse your past collegues?" A silly reason if you asked her, a woman should take her husband's last name, especially if they had a man like she did.
"You think so?" Alexander replied, giving her his confident smile. Of course he didn't need any beauty products. He'd feel like so much less of a man leaving out this shop with a bag full of products. No, he'd leave to women like Grey. He frowned, not exactly amused with the fact that some women refused to go out the house without a stitch of make-up. He'd never been much on that sort of thing. Women overly worried about make-up, that is. "Hmm. ...so whatever happened to appreciating natural beauty, though, Miss Grey?" he asked.
He wasn't even sure if she heard him, though, for the next thing he knew, her hands were on his tie, straightening what he'd apparently made askew moments earlier. "Miss Grey," he firmly said, using his own hands to smooth down his hands. "...and that'll be Mister or Minister Greingoth, please." He frowned, but refrained from passing her a warning look. The last thing he wanted was for a poor mood to ruin his day.
He sighed to himself as the woman engaged in conversation with his wife.

Well Layla Dacosta certainly was not going to miss the big reopening of Primpernelles Beautifying Potions. She frequented this place when she was younger and was gutted when they had to close down, but now, now they were back in business.
It was already quite busy when she got there and unfortunately for her Bryce was working late at the shop so she showed up alone. That was okay though, there were plenty of things on display to keep her busy until some company joined her.

After all, it wasn't exactly a lifetime ago that Katherine had been born... and Ells was wearing a far more impressive outfit than Celandine, who was still a bit put out that she had any baby weight at all, even if it was probably only notable to her.
She turned her attention to Lucifera. "Please, call me Cela!" Teehee. "And I would say that its the opposite, Ells here has helped herself to my signature scent and I can't say I mind in the least!"
And was it strange at all that a part of Cela still perked up at the 'Toussaint' stuff? She was a Kettleburn now!
"I'm so glad Primpernelles has reopened, I've always found it an interesting store, and so much more to it than people think; not all beauty is purely cosmetic after all. Confidence is key and I think Primpernelles has always done young witches the service of bolstering that!"
"I do love the idea of signature scents. The thought that you can capture the essence of someone in entirely olfactory means actually caught my attention when we were developing Love Notes and my development team was making really horrible suggestions for my personal signature scent, none of which actually seemed like something I wanted to wear."
Not that she thought Miss Valentine were still listening, but she always liked discussing the process if she could. After all, Ber was the powerhouse behind many of the business decisions they made, but Ells was the creative influence. Did anyone want to chat about coming up with potions ideas? Hm? Perhaps the Minister's wife. Later.
She might be a tad overdressed she knew, but no one would accuse Paris Greenwood of not looking stunning no matter the occasion.
And besides it was a social event and though she was now a career woman she was first a socialite and she was not going to miss an gathering that pulled together this many important people. Even if she didn't know half of them because frankly, they weren't that important in her sphere of influence. The Minister was important because he was the minister, not because he found the cure for dragon pox or anything.
Paris giggled to herself as she circled around the room slowly looking for a familier face.
She didn't mind being her own center of gravity, but she did like to have hanger ons in her orbit.
Oh. There was Paris Greenwood-Ritchie, a woman Ellsworth was frankly surprised wasn't selling her own products in this lovely little shop. Perhaps she had shifted her interests from the Greenwood Potions Factory... Ellsworth was remiss in her gossip, clearly.
She raised a hand to greet the woman from across the room. They were competitors in some markets, but Ells always appreciated women in business. Perhaps the woman would speak to her when she had a chance?
Aside from the recent appearance of her sister, who was now accosting some poor man, and those she'd already greeted and/or recognized, Ells didn't know any of the other patrons in the shop. She smiled gamely at those examining the merchandise, hoping she could brag on Ellsberry just a bit if given a chance.
Miss Deepwaters had heard about this. The grand reopening of a shop. She walked inside and smoothed her green dress out of habit. She didn't know ANYONE here since she just moved. Actually, the only ones she knew was her boss, the kid she wanted to turn into a frog and Mr. Romeo, her pet hamster.
Her eyes, that were a natural gray color were green today, drifted over to the shopkeeper who wore a beautiful long dress. René wouldn't be able to pull THAT off, she'd probably trip and end up in St. Mungos. As she wandered around she caught sight of her reflection and grinned. Her green hair - that was matching with her eyes and dress - looked puffy, but not too puffy. It was the kind of puffy that gave the illusion of voluminous hair.
That's when her eyes landed on the goody bags. OOOH! She liked free stuff. That's one of her most favorite things in the world besides painting. She almost skipped her way there and before choosing which bag she wanted she peeked inside all of them.
And there was a problem.
The purple bag had the eye changing color thing and the white one contained the hair color changing thing. Why would they do this to her? Why would they put her in such a dilemma? She loved both things. René tapped her chin with her finger and hummed. How to resolve this problem?
Cela smiled over her shoulder at Ells, noting her talking to a fan or something, and then put her attention on her husband and babies. "Look after Charlotte and Callum, be your wonderful charming self. Kiss me sometimes because I like it when you do that." She twinkled at him a bit and looked in on the buggy, giving an alert and interested Charlotte and then a sleepy quiet Callum little kisses before straightening up and giving her hair a fluff.
"And make sure nobody steals them." Mmmhmm. Cos her babies were precious. We're looking at youuuu clucky!Evee. Teehee.
Marie stood to the side of the room surveying the scene. She was still new her to England and very unsure what she should do. Then she saw Celandine Kettleburn one of the models and spokespeople of Ellsberry. She was extremely pretty. Marie stood there for a couple of minutes and twisted her engagement ring on her finger like she always did when she was stressed out. Should she go introduce herself or not?
Finally Marie swept her red-brown hair off her face and walked over to meet the woman. "Mrs. Kettleburn," she said as she extended a hand to the woman. "My name is Victoria Marie Coral, but you may call me Marie. I have been a fan of you." Is that what the British would say? Marie had been there for a couple of months and still hadn't gotten used to the language. But, she did think that the woman was extremely beautiful.

Couldn't she just have BOTH goody bags?
Paris eyed the woman standing at the goody bag table. Honestly was this her first time at an event. She was acting like it was the first time she had ever been presented with something free.
It would have been funny if she wasn't clearly over the age of 8. "I would definitely go with the hair color potion." Paris commented with a smirk. The girl could use a top to bottom make over, but no sense being mean about it.
She walked over to the girl, "You work in the little candy shop don't you?" Paris asked looking the girl up and down.

Paris was eyeing the perfume when she spotted the lady of the hour walking into her party. She was late enough for it to be fashionable, but she didn't make an entrance. It was her party for Merlin's sake.
She placed her now empty glass on a tray and snaked her way through the throng of people over to the woman. "This is a nice party you've put together Ell." She never called her by her full name.

Ohhhh. Well then. That was particularly good information to know, considering Neptune's Bestest Best of Best friends worked for MLE. She smiled all the more for this man's profession simply because he worked near Legend Chosen.
"No wife or girlfriend," Neptune kind of... purred at him, a purr that turned into a silly giggle. "Well surely there's someone you're looking to impress. To woo. Maybe you'll get a girlfriend after you buy some of my sister's things for a particularly lucky lady? You're here, so you might as well. Go on, tell me about her. I'll help you."
Giggle.... she offered him her hand, knuckles up for him to take. "I'm Neptune Bott, of course." She let the duuuuuuuuuh be silent punctuation.

Weddell Bott ... why was he here? His sister ... correction sisters, he noted upon seeing Neptune, were here. And he was a supportive brother... ?
This was a nightmare, a potpourri-smelling, female-laden nightmare. With stoic determination, he approached his sister, offered her a hand, and gave her a firm, "Congratulations."

Yeah. Hecate did NOT like this woman. At. All.
She was going to tell the woman, she didn't use any of this rubbish... but the shopkeeper was... right there. And it wasn't her intention to offend the woman by belittling her shop.
She started at the harpy from Hades and then slowly turned to Alexander. So now he was having his staff straighten his ties for him... She thought nothing of the woman addressing him by his first name. She had assumed all his Department Heads did that.
Hecate looked at the woman's hand but didn't take it. "Yes. Lafay. Though socially, I am Mrs. Greingoth, professionally I am still Potions Mistress Lafay."
Her eyes heard a familiar voice...

Glancing up, he happened to notice the sudden presence of an unfamiliar face. He glanced at the man for a split second, gave him a polite nod, then turned away.
She smiled at her husband. He was indeed handsome and in need of no products. But she didn't want to hang all over him, so she let go of his arm and looked over to the man whom he nodded to. "You know him?" She asked him in a whisper.

In all four of his years in the United Kingdom, Rodrigo had never met a person like Neptune Botts. Was she, as the English would say, making moves on him? The poor Spaniard was utterly perplexed by her forwardness. Blushing slightly, he shook his head at her questions of a special someone.
"I-er-no not really. I've been focusing on my education and my career path, which I hope will stay with the Ministry." He noticed something in Neptune's eyes when he mentioned that he worked for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. "Do you know someone in Magical Law Enforcement?" He changed the subject. But then she went and gave him her hand. Of course, he bowed forward and kissed her hand.
"I am Roderigo De Lacerda," he said, smiling. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss Bott." He released her hand and placed his in the pockets of his dress pants. He really didn't want to waste his money on these cosmetics. It just wasn't an appropriate time for him to do so. Had he had a girlfriend, sure, if she liked Ellsberry products that is. But he didn't. . .

The fears Rodrigo had upon arriving to Madame Primpernelles had come to fruition. Professor Lafay had come over to speak with Neptune. Roderigo looked down, for he only attended Hogwarts for his last two years and never knew what Lafay thought of him.
"Errr...." he turned away and looked at some magical hair coloring stuff.

Oh good, she DID remember her name. Ellie was about to be very disappointed, but no more. Ellie smiled and nodded. "That's me," she said, beaming. She was just a happy girl today. And had been for several weeks. "I'm doing quite well, and yourself?" Although, she was quite confused about all these people who had suddenly crowded the room. And why the blonde woman asked if they were beauty consultants...
In her confusion, Ellie's eyes wandered back to the Minister of Magic. He was so... manly. And... intimidating. Part of her wanted to meet him and the other part wanted to just stay away from him.
Arya's sudden exclamation tore Ellie's attention away from the man. Her eyes followed her former classmates and rested on a girl that looked a few years older than them. Slightly familiar, maybe? Hm. Ellie didn't really know what to do. But apparently it wasn't up to her anymore because she was suddenly being tugged across the room by Arya.
Flailing slightly, Ellie awkwardly waved goodbye to the nice woman they were sort of talking to and followed Arya. Not that she really had a choice, but it was fine. She would've standing alone awkwardly if it weren't for her. This "Cela" was rather pretty. Was she a beauty consultant? Ellie smiled at the older young woman. "Hello," she said, taking her stand next to Arya. Sooo... what now?
Arya grinned, secretly proud that even after a few months of being graduated and lots of traveling, she still managed to guess right at the names of her class... er, former classmates. "I've got no complaints." Did she ever? Heh. "Still enjoying what's left of the summer." The young woman wasn't confused as to why their were so many people flooding into the shop, but she was amused by the blood woman. There was something vaguely familiar about her features, but Arya couldn't quite place them...
And Ellie didn't complain about the tugging or put up a resistance of some kind, so Arya didn't stop. Not when she was obviously on a mini mission of sorts. "Hi!" Only when they reached Cela did she drop Ellie's hand to give the older girl a squishy hug greeting. "You look great." She always did. recent graduate pulled back and grinned brightly at Cela.

Hmmm? Miss Bott? Oh her? Neptune spun around to greet a fan ... Ohhhh "Professor," Neptune turned that purr on her former Professor. Neptune Bott had always been one of Lafay's favorites, she was sure. Tune offered her TWO air kisses, one for each cheek. Mwah and Mwah! "Of course not. May I call you Hecate now? I'm just here for Ellsworth. This is her stuff, you know, and she makes shoes for me and I'm just being a good sister."
Obviously.

Paris did a little twirl to give her the whole effect. It really was a stunning dress and she felt all the more lovely in it. "Thank you so much," she murmured. Pleased to be acknowledge for her outfit. "Well its always nice to let the little people think they've played a part in your big night." she said with a little giggle.
Versace was the only way to go when you wanted to be the center of attention.
She smiled at Ell, "Well I am working on a skin care line. I want to expand that pimple cream I made when I was at Hogwarts. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve you know." Paris gave Ell a sly wink. "And of course we are working on getting into the Potions Stock Exchange. Those goblins are ruthless I tell you." She thought she was a tough nut. That goblin chick in the stock exchange could give Paris a few lessons on being hard.
Paris stepped back as Ell threw herself at another person. She really hoped they had some sort of relationship with the glee Ell was displaying. "And who is this?" she asked once the two had parted.

"You're never intruding. Make sure you give Neptune your love before you leave." Because he wouldn't stay long. He was Weddell Bott.

Hmm. No return compliment, and Ells touched the belt of her dress very briefly. Perhaps it was the baby weight, although she'd felt the dress fit perfectly when she bought it.
But no, today was about celebrating women of all ages, shapes, sizes, and hues, and Ellsworth refused to dwell over a few extra pounds, real or not. She did look good.
"Well, I wish you luck with your research. It's nice to have a project to devote yourself to, isn't it? Or several projects, if you're me." Her smile turned rueful at that. Ells always tended to have one too many irons in the fire, running right at the edge of exhaustion at all times.

Did he say something wrong? Rodrigo was confused. But he decided to disregard it and smiled at Neptune.
"Thank you, yes," he nodded, scratching below his right ear. He hardly considered being a stenographer for the Wizengamot something risky. But oh well."Hmm Legend Chosen...sounds familiar. Perhaps I've seen him a couple of times but I haven't ever spoken with him." He shrugged.
The Spaniard wondered how long he would have to stay inside the shop. He wasn't sure he could last much longer without some fresh air. Tugging at the neck of his dress robes, he smiled brightly as she giggled. "The pleasure is all mine, Miss Bott." However his smile faltered a little. She was persistent! "I s'pose so. . . " he acquiesced, though he hoped she realized he wouldn't likely buy anything.

Paris' eye sparkled. She noticed Ell's sly attempt to draw her eyes to the belt on her hips. "My, my Ell anymore sway in your hips and you might snag one of these eligible bachelors around here." She commented. She was a little rusty in her banter from dealing with the goblins. They didn't banter.
She gave Ell a little dip of her head. "Thank you." And it was sincere. Though they were rivals in business Paris admired Ell for taking the reins of her company and coming out on top. Very few woman could do that. "With the potions exchange going on I can't be in the lab as much as I would like. But afterwards I am doning the lab coat again. I miss it." She was surprised that she could admit that.
Paris giggled, "Oh its Paris Greenwood to be sure." And she was glad her divorce was going smoothly and quietly. She loved being the center of attention, but only for good things. She didn't want to air her dirty laundry.

Hecate looked at the woman's hand but didn't take it. "Yes. Lafay. Though socially, I am Mrs. Greingoth, professionally I am still Potions Mistress Lafay."
Her eyes heard a familiar voice...
Wait...
Neptune Bott is some shopkeeper's assistant? Or was she just a cashier?? Why was she working here... "Miss Bott?" She said looking at the girl. "You... work here?" Wasn't she some heiress or something? Kids loved those nasty beans...
She smiled at her husband. He was indeed handsome and in need of no products. But she didn't want to hang all over him, so she let go of his arm and looked over to the man whom he nodded to. "You know him?" She asked him in a whisper.
At this point, Alexander couldn't decide if he wanted to intervene between the two women, turn and walk away, or stand there and hope for a catfight. All three scenarios seemed equally amusing to him, and in the end, he found himself standing there right next to the two women, waiting on that catfight to begin. Too bad Grey would end up in the hospital over that one. She was a pretty decent department head.
His wife's 'hmm' only confirmed his thoughts were true. After nearly a lifetime of knowing this woman, he could tell by just the tone in her voice when she was reaching her boiling point. Alexander busied by looking around the establishment while his wife and the Grey woman chatted away. He only turned back when he heard Hecate question about...well, someone. "Hmm?" ... "Who?" he asked, having the slightest clue who his wife was referring to. Realizing she was referring to the man slowly making his way to them. "Oh, him? No, never seen him." Smirking in amusement, he added, "Although I think we're being followed."

Oh and now the one who refused to take her husband's name was speaking again, she had to be some sort of feminist. Oh yeah she was the potions mistress at Hogwarts, Alexander had said that. "Well that's nice. Do you enjoy your post?"
Alexander's eyebrows narrowed inward at the Grey woman's words. What in Hades had gotten into her, hmm? "Hmm," he said in a disinterested tone. "To each his or her own, I suppose." If his wife used beauty products, he'd never seen her. He was quite certain she didn't, though, and he was more attracted to her than any woman in this room right now.
The talk between Grey and his wife continued, so Alexander turned his attention back to the room as a whole. Was that Dacosta he saw? So it was. He grinned and gave a nod of acknowledgment.
René was still pondering on which bag to take. Hair or eyes. She didn't even care about the other things inside the bag. Hmm...
She tore her attention away from the bags and looked over at the woman who had spoken to her. "You think?" she asked. René took a strand of green hair and held it between her fingers. It wasn't dyed so it was totally not damaged. She charmed it to change from its original color. "I guess it would save me some time each morning from charming my hair," she said, thoughtfully.
The witch looked at the woman when she commented her work place. "Yes I do," she said, nodding with a smile on her face. "Sugarplums Sweet Shop where you can find the finest candy in Diagon Alley." It was true...mostly because it was the ONLY sweet shop in Diagon Alley.
René's fingers played with her green beaded purse while the woman's eyes raked her. Was there something on her face?
Kyle smiled over to Rodergio as he said it was alright. That was good - she was glad she hadn't really trampled over the guy - which was apparently one of her specialties.
“Its a pleasure to meet you Roderigo - I’m Kyleigh” she smiled over making sure to speak as clearly as possible - the french undertones in her voice still present (as if they would ever not be).
She couldn’t help but hear when he was speaking to Neptune that he brought up the ministry and specifically the law enforcement. “Wait - you work in the MLE?” She asked eyebrow arching slightly as she bit her lip to protest her own conversation jumping. “My Aunt works there - Alicia Devereaux” she smiled.
Kyleigh had to remind herself to breath as she spotted both the Minister of Magic and her former professor and his wife, Hecate Lafay.
“P-Professor Lafay” she smiled over to her - last time she had seen her, well...she really didn't remember much of it - she had been possessed by a pirate at the time. “Its a pleasure to see you again” she smiled. She really didn’t know what Lafay thought of her, but honestly wasn’t it better to be nice? Kyle thought so.

She turned to the man. He looked somewhat familiar. "Do I know you?" she asked the man.

I'm just here for Ellsworth. This is her stuff, you know, and she makes shoes for me and I'm just being a good sister."
Obviously.
"You may not." She said calmly. Why did children think they could call her by her first name once they graduated... "I see. Your sister has a very good line..." She said noticing the name everywhere.

Oh and she must have crossed some line here because one moment she was helping to fix his tie and then she was being spoken to in a...tone, a reather official one too. "My appologies Minister."
He was even cuter when he got angry. Siiiigh.
Oh and now the one who refused to take her husband's name was speaking again, she had to be some sort of feminist. Oh yeah she was the potions mistress at Hogwarts, Alexander had said that. "Well that's nice. Do you enjoy your post?"
"I... sometimes enjoy my post at Hogwarts." She said shrugging. "I don't think it's something I will remain in for a long time." This woman was getting on her nerves...

"Followed? By whom?" She asked.

Rodrigo turned back to Kyleigh. There were just too many things going on at once. As more people were entering Madam Primpernelles, the temperature was rising swiftly. He tugged at the collar of his dress robes and pulled out a handkerchief to dab his forehead with. Inhaling deeply and exhaling shortly afterwards, he turned back to Kyleigh.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Kyleigh." he said, his thin red lips stretching into a kind smile. He could tell by her speech that she was French. "I see you are not native to Great Britain either," he said, winking. "In case you could not tell from my accent, I am from Spain." He nodded before he heard that her aunt worked in the same department as her. "Oh yes, I know of your aunt. We work in the same Department, but in different divisions." He nodded softly.

He knew he shouldn't have said anything. Turning back to Professor Lafay, he gave an awkward smile and raised his right hand to scratch behind his neck.
"Hello Professor! I'm Rodrigo De Lacerda. I graduated from Hogwarts three years ago. I took your Potions classes." He nodded. He probably should have expected as much. It had been a few years, and it wasn't like he was a star pupil of which the Professor would recognize easily. Still, she didn't look like she was in that great of a mood.
When Roderigo turned back to her and commented on her accent she just smiled. “Ah yes, I’m from Paris originally live in London now though” she smiled after all the Wizarding University was in london. “I could tell actually - spain is a beautiful place” she smiled softly remembering when she visited Madrid with her aunt a few summers before.
When Professor Lafay recognized Roderigo she had to stop and think for a minute. Wait. He had looked familiar - only vaguely.
The stupid possession fiasco had taken away most of her memories of her final school year at Hogwarts. Three years ago - that was when she had been possessed - and her seventh year.
“Pardon me - was that the term with the black ship? If so...I was one of the few students who got...well, how do we put it, affected.” She nodded. “Yeah I was one of the only Ravenclaw pirate-possessed students” she chuckled. Others seemed smart enough not to touch things on the ship.
Professor Lafay was there recognizing him. She just stood still and glanced over to her and then to the Minister of Magic once more. She didn’t know what Lafay had thought of her - probably that she was a few rocks short of a rock garden...but really, she wasn’t always the best with potions but she had always tried to be the polite potions idiot rather than the rude one. Maybe - just maybe she wasn’t someone the Professor absolutely loathed with a passion.

Rodrigo was correct about where Kyleigh was from. So she was from Paris. Rodrigo had never visited France before, but knew enough about his neighboring country that he could recognize a Parisian accent. From what he had read in books and seen in movies, Paris was a beautiful city. He hoped to venture there someday. In particular, he found the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre to be two very beautiful places.
But he was snapped back from daydreaming by Kyleigh, who was inquiring about when he had graduated from Hogwarts. Yes, he had graduated the year the mysterious pirate ship had appeared in the Black Lake. He found it too menacing to go near it, but had obviously witnessed the students who had been affected after being inside it. So it turned out that this woman was one of those students.
"Oh yes, I did graduate that year." he said, nodding, his thick black curls bobbing slightly from his head movements. "That's terrible that you were one of those students. I can't imagine." Concern showed on his face. At least she was well and all now. Otherwise she wouldn't be standing here in the fragrant (though he'd love to attest that) Madam Primpernelles Grand Reopening. That's right.
