SPOILER!!: TIFFANY PLS He returned her smile with a wide one of his own, raising one eyebrow as he reached up to adjust his glasses. She was smiling a lot more than usual. It was beauti--WAIT. Was there something in his his teeth? Is that why she was smiling? He immediately glanced down at the face of his watch, nodding appreciatively at his pearly white reflection before facing Tiffany again. Merlin, that smile. "Happy, Tiffany?" Had to be because of him, obviously. Smiiiirk. And anyways, Ezra was happy because of her so it was only fair. Aaaand that hadn't made any sense to her either. Damn. He cleared his throat delicately and grinned lazily, back to holding on to his left knee which hadn't gotten the memo to stop bloody bouncing. "Don't you worry, you didn't miss much," he said, smiling knowingly as if it'd been her fault. It had really been her fault he'd been kept up all night thinking, hence the coffee and the jitters. Allllll her fault. "Just that I'll get you whatever you want. Nothing you don't already know, of course." The corner of his mouth twitched even further upwards. Uh huh. That was the truth. Ezra moved his chair forwards until his tie was pressing against the edge of the table. He took a chance and let go of his knee to intertwine his fingers on the table. His knee gave a twitch. He had half a mind to glare at it, but glaring would mean not smiling and one could not simply not smile in the presence of Tiffany Price. Not only was it a rule, it was a physical impossibility. Obviously that had to be the explanation. "And how are you on this fine evening?" he asked, head still cocked to one side. His clear eyes continued to roam around her face, taking her in. Probably wasn't a good idea considering he really couldn't afford to be WEAK as well as twitching in the knees, but he couldn't help himself, alright? |
SPOILER!!: I'm going to break our promise and tell you how sorry i am for taking so long IM EXTREMELY SORRY Happy? LOL. Understatement of the century, Ezra. She continued smiling at him (ugh, why), making sure to nod her head not-as-enthusiastically as she wanted to. Ahem. Totally okay right here. "You sound surprised, Ezra?" Tiffany Price was capable of happiness. She wasn't a robot. Well for the most part. And it was certainly an occasion to be happy about. It was their She wasn't the only one smiling though, okay? Ezra was smiling too, though he was probably just being polite. Maybe she should stop smiling then? Uh. How did that work again? Merlin, this was getting harder and harder. Of course then he went on with that smirk of his and things were suddenly getting easier. It wasn't as hard to pretend that she didn't care when he was being his normal self. Except there he went being sweet again and all Tiffany could do was let her mouth hang open. "Oh." Sweet Merlin. Why'd he have to do that? It was just like on the dance floor. Where in Merlin's name did he learn to sweet talk people like this? UGH. It was absolutely infuriating because it was absolutely working. "I'm... I'm doing really well, Ezra." She couldn't even bring herself to lie for the purpose of banter. And there was just something pushing her to say his name each and every time she spoke. Ezra. Ezra. Ezra. Sort of rolled off the tongue. Had a sweet taste to it. "I'm in a bit of a mess, though... And I was wondering if you could help me?" Okay so she wasn't exactly in a mess... And she didn't exactly need his help... But... This was a test. She was testing you Ezra Bellamy. "My friend Jasmine, surely you remember her." Kind of hard to forget after she ruined that dance floor moment. AHEM. Tiffany was still biter about that. Just saying. "Well, she's in dire need of a boyfriend and I promised I'd help her look. Do you know any singles who are looking?" ... What? It wasn't a lie. Tiffany had promised that she'd go looking. So technically this was all for Jasmine's own good. But it was also a sure way of testing Ezra. What was he going to say, hmmmm? Not that she cared. This was all for Jasmine. Ahem. |
SPOILER!!: Nooooooooooo don't worry He was slightly more pleased than he should've been when her mouth hung open. It was...cute, really. Bloody adorable. That wasn't the POINT though, the point was that she needed to know he really meant it. The bloody adorable bit did not go unappreciated, however, which was made painfully evident by the sudden twitch of his right hand that resulted in his previously-intertwined fingers being placed mere centimeters from Tiffany's. It was a twitch, that was all. Obviously. Didn't want to seem desperate or anything but her hand was just so close. He glanced down at it and then back at her face. Merlin. Why did he choose NOW of all times to behave like a ruddy schoolboy. Trying to keep his eyes off her lips as she spoke, Ezra nodded slowly, smiling widely. Goodgoodgood she was doing well. It was the most important thing, if you thought about it, but instead of answering with a smooth 'I'm happy to hear that,' he blurted out, "And why is that?" Er, that had been wrong. These nerves had most definitely not been there before but the jitters were starting to verge on unbearable. He was saved of the need to correct himself, however, when she began to speak again. There was nothing like a beautiful woman speaking to shut him up, apparently, a fact for which he was increasingly grateful. He was fully prepared to jump to his feet and run to beat up whatever bloke had put her in this "mess," but was left This wouldn't do, surely. He couldn't sit and mope here during their |
SPOILER!!: SARA i replied BEFORE an entire week passed!!! Quite pleased. He was? Of course he was. What kind of question was that? Merlin, Tiffany. She had to pull it together; starting with this smile of hers. But well, if Ezra was quite pleased about it… Maybe she didn’t need to be worried about her smile? It was fine. Everything was fine. She was doing just fine. Dear Merlin, Ezra looked fiiiine. UM. Ahem. You see, the best part of this whole predicament was that Tiffany was so preoccupied with making sure she wasn’t being over enthusiastic, that she hardly even noticed how much time had elapsed since there was any sort of conversation. He just staring blankly (and smiling) at her her. And she just staring blankly (and smiling) and him. Thank Merlin they both seemed to be distracted. Though, what was Ezra distracted by HM? Tiffany was very curious. But asking would be admitting to being curious about him in the first place. So no. LUCKILY, she was brought back into the moment (THANK MERLIN— couldn’t miss her entire He seemed to be genuinely concerned for her wellness, which was sweet, and that much was evident in the way he nodded his head every—???? What. Why is that?? What was that supposed to mean? At the question, she felt herself straighten up a bit against the chair, furrowing her brows, pulling her hand away from the top of the table, and instead running it through her hair. ”Must there be a reason, Ezra?” Admittedly, the reason was probably the fact that, you know But anyways… She nodded her head to confirm the source of his apparent sudden confusion. Had his cheeks been that shade this entire time? Yes, Ezra. A boyfriend. Tiffany hadn’t had one of those since… Well… Okay, irrelevant. Very, very irrelevant. Jory with the hair? That João bloke? She slightly raised a single brow as she nodded along. ”Hmmm,” interesting. Oh hi, yes, Ezra? That was a test. And he passed. Well, he passed the first part anyways. ”She thinks you’re cute.” Oops. That kind of just you know BLURTED OUT OF NO WHERE. She wasn’t supposed to say that bit. She also wasn’t supposed to sound like she entirely disapproved of Jasmine thinking he was cute. Why’d she sound like she was in pain over it? Oh yeah, because she was. Right. Moving on. To the stuff that she was SUPPOSED to say. La la la. Nothing to see here. ”I think she’s got her eyes set on you.” Still sounded like she was in pain. La la la. Aheeeeem. But then he was grinning again and she felt herself loosen up once more. Jasmine wasn’t a threat…. Right? He wasn’t interested in her. Was he? He what he was, was saying something. And Tiffany was listening. Yup. Not thinking about Jasmine ta—WHUT? ”You think I’d actually do that? Merlin no, I was mad at her for an eternity afterwards.” Tiffany Price needed to stop. She hadn’t admitted to anything WAIT Ezra was the one who was supposed to be tested here. NOT her. |
SPOILER!!: ARIANA you're on a ROLL! But then her hand was gone. Well. That'd definitely been the wrong thing to say. Ezra grinned sheepishly at her as he pulled off his blazer and draped it over the back of his chair just to be doing something. He couldn't just sit and WATCH as she ran her hand through her hair, he'd just embarrass himself further by swooning or something ridiculous like that. "I wouldn't say there must be, Tiffany. But there's no shame in seeing if our reasons match up." He chanced a wink because it wasn't as if this was his finest moment, and let his hand fall right back to where it had been. On the table. Close to her. Nothing to see here. Still talking about Jasmine? WHY? Was Tiffany trying to set him up with her or what because that was pretty tactless thing to do on a Ezra's smirk was probably a bit more satisfied than it should have been, but he didn't notice. Tiffany had practically admitted that she'd liked the dance, she HAD. "Good to know I'm not the only one who enjoyed dancing, then. With you." In any other situation he'd steer clear of any type of activity requiring coordination, but only an idiot would pass up the opportunity to stand that close to THE Tiffany Price. And Ezra was not an idiot, thank you very much. |
SPOILER!!: Not anymore siiiiiiigh Oh? If their reasons matched up? Hmmm? The brunette let her chin sit on her hand as she leaned for just a biiiit. Go on Ezra. You have her attention now. "And what exactly are your reasons?" He WINKED. That must've meant-- well, you know. Their reasons probably DID match up. She just wanted to hear him say it out loud. He just seemed to be so careful around her. Never admitting to too much, but admitting to just enough. Though, Tiffany was guilty of the same. But she had reasons, okay? Couldn't let her guard down. Merlin, no. That'd be suicide. That's why Ezra had to do it first. See, totally justifiable. Besides, she may not have asked first, but she asked last. So it was his turn to give her some answers. Totally justifiable. Yes, YES they were still talking about Jasmine, okay? Tiffany was jealous. Alright. There. It's out there. Well, sort of out there because there was no way she'd ever tell Ezra that... But, admitting it to herself was a pretty big step, okay? She was jealous. Though there wasn't that much to be jealous about yet, but just the thought of another girl pining after this horribly handsome man. Ugh. Very jealous. Gosh. "Don't be ridiculous, Bellamy. Of course I noticed." Ages ago actually. Maybe even unfortunately? Aheeeem. But she chuckled a bit to erm... Draw attention from the fact that she just... Yeah. Might as well paint a big sign over her head that said 'THIS WITCH IS JEALOUS' or something of that variation? So much for not letting her guard down. Merlin. ASDFASDFASDF. Ahem. Translation: W.H.U.T. Tiffany couldn't even believe it. She was being one of those girls. One of the ones she wouldn't ever let herself be again. But he had basically just said that he fancied her. Well, in a much lighter sense but THIS is how she'd take it. That's what she wanted to hear, essentially. And suddenly, the look of pain that had been on her face before dissolved and instead, was replaced with one of absolute relief.... And it was also accompanied with a slight rush of pink to her cheeks. "Oh." It was a stupid remark but uh HELLO, she couldn't help it. Ezra had basically just diminished every last fear about Jasmine taking him over. It was a historic moment. She was ALLOWED to blush and run her hand through her hair and be a little bit restless. All excusable behavior. "Well, that's a relief. I wouldn't have let her date you anyways." Just you know casually slipping that word in there. Just casual. That's all. "I love dancing, we should do it again sometime." More so just another excuse to keep seeing him outside of the office like this. A |
for Alice's Rowan Clara felt very reflective today. It had been two years since she'd been told that she was finally being allowed to attend Hogwarts. Two years since she'd met Eden, Gabriel, and all the other people that were in her life now. She'd never thought she'd get to this point ... where her nightmares were infrequent, her mood was up more than it was down, and where she'd have something to fight for ... but she was. So much had happened in just two years. Sure, it was a ... little messed up currently, but she was happy, and that had to count for something. Even if she had made mistakes and hurt people along the way, she was finally becoming something that she was comfortable being. Herself. Her days of intense anxiety and constant judging were (mostly) over. Clara was working hard to become a better person ... to be more caring and considerate, but still tough ..... and to find out what she wanted to be and do for the rest of her life. Sitting down at the edge of the courtyard, she allowed the thoughts to continue circling her head. She wondered if her parents would be proud of her if they could see her now. |
Quote:
Oops. Oh well, she wasn't that bothered. She was sure her mum was enjoying herself, wherever she'd got to. Right now, Rusty was in search of some food. She had some of those super cool coins jangling around in the pocket of her shorts, so all there was to do was find somewhere that sold vegan food. And since Rusty wasn't entirely sure if magical food would be the same as muggle food, that might be quite difficult. So, to begin her search, Rowan headed back towards the pub that they'd come into at the start of the day, but she was distracted by someone sitting on her own. New friend? NEW FRIEND! The girl was like, totally older than Rowan, but that didn't matter. "Hi!" She pranced over to the table that the girl was sat at and took a seat - she wasn't accustomed to the whole personal space thing, or many types of manners for that fact. "Aren't you lonely on your own?" If she wasn't that was okay, but if she was then Rowan Elizabeth Fields was here to help! |
SPOILER!!: She is cute As Clara had previously "Hello," she replied, offering a smile and watching as the girl just ... made herself at home. That didn't make her feel uncomfortable ..... yet. She'd be okay. She shook her head. "I'm not lonely. I have my books." Which, thinking about it, did make her sound kind of lonely or sad if she only had books for company. "What are you doing out here alone?" That was a better question ... the girl barely looked Hogwarts age, Clara certainly hadn't seen her around the school. |
Quote:
Alone? "Oh, I'm not alone. I'm with my mum she's just..." Rowan actually wasn't sure where her mum was, so she just shrugged. "Probably shouting at someone in the owl post office for making animals work. Did you know they do that? Why can't people just post things with the normal post office, I bet all those owls get tired. And how do they carry like... BIG packages?" Poor things... Maybe Rowan could set them all free. "My name's Rusty, by the way." |
Quote:
Wow, that girl could talk. Clara couldn't yet tell if the sound was soothing or going to slowly grate on her nerves. For now, she was intrigued by the girl's ... energetic nature. "What sort of books do you like to read?" She didn't imagine she'd have a similar taste to hers; her books were mostly in other languages, or were poetry, or large textbooks. Definitely not the typical interest of a pre-teen girl. "Great things, hmm?" Personally, Clara thought reading was the best thing to do, but she definitely did have other interests. No, no mother in sight. Clara considered everything the girl was saying ... she made some fair points. "Well, for us, posting by owl is the normal way. We've been doing it for hundreds of years." Most likely. "I'm sure you'll soon realise," she said, making the assumption that the girl didn't come from a wizarding family, "that we magic folk aren't big on change or advancing with technology...and we don't want to be discovered by muggles." There was also the fact that magic and electricity didn't seem to mix well, but that was a completely different point altogether... "And don't worry, the owls are well looked after." Did that ease her mind? Or was she going to be bombarded with further questions and points? "Clara." She smiled easily. "It's lovely to meet you." |
I'm so sorry... xD Quote:
...Hm... "Well, yeah, but people have been riding elephants for hundreds of years too and did you know that cripples them? Just cause you've been doing it for ages doesn't mean it's kind." MHMM. Rowan had a lot to say about animals and the way people treated them. "AND if everyone used the same post office then nobody would notice cause you would just wrap up all your stuff before you sent it, and then the owls could just do what they wanted." And the mail would still get there. "Clara sounds like a really cool explorer. You could climb a mountain." |
SPOILER!!: why so cute, Tiffany? He let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. My oh my, somebody was jealous. The thought made Ezra's lips quirk upwards into a half smile as he removed his hands from under his chin and began tracing circles on the table with his index finger. "Just had to make sure," he said, nodding knowingly as if he'd been sure all along. Wait. He had been sure all along...right? His smile softened at the sound of Tiffany's laugh, and even more when she blushed until his entire face seemed to have gone smooth and warm. Oh. Just Oh? Ezra wasn't entirely sure what he'd expected, but it had certainly been more than that. He'd gone ahead and admitted that after how much he'd sworn he wouldn't and that was it? "I hope you don't sound so enthusiastic when other men tell you they're infatuated with you," he said, trying to force his face out of its vulnerable state. It stayed there, of course, as his face tended to whenever Tiffany was around. But then his eyebrows were sent up in the direction of his hair as he laughed. The envy was nearly palpable with this one, sweet merlin. "Poor dear wouldn't know what hit her, going at odds with you," he said, trying to keep the admiration from his voice. Apparently it was 'Admit Things to Tiffany' day and he just hadn't been informed, but that didn't mean the admiration had any right to show up there too. "Ah, and I love dancing with you, there's quite a difference." There were very few things worth that kind of humiliation, but Tiffany Price was one of them, without a doubt. |
For Saz. ^_^ Butterbeer in hand, Lux slowly made her way to the courtyard so as not to spill anything. During the summer it was always nice to eat or drink outside, and the weather was perfect so why not enjoy it?? This was definitely her favourite time of year because she could see her boyfriend, family, and friends and the weather was fantastic. A corner table was vacant, so she claimed it as her own, setting her shopping bags down on the chair beside hers. This was nice and she was totally ready to settle in for a while. Maybe she would go back to reading her book. |

SPOILER!!: Eeeeezra why so sweet Had he just stolen her answer? Merlin. He was good at this game. She gave him an amused look as she playfully rolled her eyes at him. Don't let it fool you though, she was freaking out on the inside. And Tiffany Price never freaked out, well not over a man, anyway. This day was just full of surprises, wasn't it? "It might help if you did," she leaned forward a bit more so that there noses were only inches apart. And just as she thought she'd managed to regain the lead. Merlin. "Fancy me like I fancy you." Oh sweet Merlin. Tiffany Price was most certainly grinning very widely and there was nothing she could do to stop it. He FANCIED her. Ahem. Pull it together, Price. Sweet Merlin. Even though he had said it, still felt like SHE was the one losing. "You're not going to make me say it, are you?" And yes, the red in her cheeks was more than just her newest Chanel blusher. And yes, she was still grinning stupidly. And yes, she would say it if he asked. As for making sure, Tiffany had nothing more to add to the subject. She'd just admitted things, okay? There was only so many nice things she could say in one sitting, even if she was thinking of a million more in her head. So instead of saying much else, she just let her gaze fall down to the invisible circles he was tracing along the table. "Infatuated, huh?" She smirked, but this time it was playful and really she was just teasing. She was at a loss for words, alright? Normally this kind of flattery got a man no where with her. Well okay, she enjoyed it, but she wouldn't let it go on as long as she'd let Ezra go on. Except unfortunately she LIKED this one. She like-liked this one. And words--which were normally her strong suit--were failing her entirely. "You're right though, there's no way I'd let her get in my way." Friend or not. Ahem. "Not wise to mess with Tiffany Price." And though she was talking about Jasmine here... The warning extended beyond that as well. There was a reason why she'd been so resistant to his tactics. And though that resistance had been wearing down... Anyways. This better not be just a game to him. "Well in that case, I loved dancing with you too." Ugh. Every time. |
Vashti was very much enjoying the summer so far. She enjoyed her job and the States, but it felt so nice to be back here where the rest of her family and friends were. Speaking of friends, she was meeting up with one of them today! It felt like it had been forever since she'd last seen Trixie, so Vashti was thrilled to spend some time with her - especially since she had some exciting things to tell her. (At that thought, she briefly put a hand to her belly, which at four months was starting to show just a bit.) Looking around the courtyard, it seemed she was a little early, so she simply took a seat, watching the fountain to keep herself occupied. |

"Oh, it's wonderful. I wish the weather was like this everyday." A girl could dream, right? Happily she took a sip of her butterbeer. |

What a travesty. "So what have you been up to lately?" she asked curiously while wondering if AJ and Angel were lurking about anywhere; Lux was fond of all three sisters. |

For you know who, you know who you are. Heh. It was too nice of a day to be inside, and summer was ending quickly. Already the students were back in the alley, buying things and stocking up on things they needed and, well, didn't quite need. Thankfully, it had been rather quiet. The streets were noisy and crowded, but there weren't many stories to tell. Nothing out of the ordinary, and that was just fine with him. Turning his glass about absently on the table, Sabel skimmed the documents in front of him. It was hard to focus on legal writings when his mind hop-skipped-and-jumped in every which direction, besides the one he was trying to focus it to. At least there was no rush on this. He could take his time. |

Ugh. Damien slipped into the Courtyard and smiled ever so slightly as he spotted his not legitimate kid. His pride and joy that wasn't related to him... not that he would ever say THOSE things!! Instead he slipped quietly into the seat in front of him and raised the Disillusionment charm that he had placed on himself after that run in with Jeffrey's kid. Heh. "Hey. How are you. What are drinking out of that glass?" He CERTAINLY hoped it wasn't something he had ordered in that bar... Or that the glass was from the bar... tsk tsk! But he smiled brightly at him and shook his head slightly. Yes, a BRIGHT smile. A real smile. A rare smile for his friend. |

One thing about his intiution and senses, was that if there wasn't the hint of a threat, they were quiet. Turned off, almost. And the thing was, he didn't percieve a threat. As attentive as he was being to his surroundings by force of habit, he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. He was moving the glass up to his lips when his former mentor decided to make a grand entry, right across from him. In the seat. Sabel nearly spilled his drink all over Damien in shock. Instead, most of it ended up on his papers and arms. "Murphy on a cracker, Damien!" The man got a half glare as he shook what had been his drink, off his hand. "It's soda. Though, even if it wasn't, you are hardly the last person to give me a lecture on drinking in the middle of the day." There was a smile forming, bit by bit, behind the irritation that he tried to hold onto. It was slipping, rapidly. |
Quote:
Damien actually snorted as he saw how Sabel reacted. Amazing. Worth every moment of it. Just CLASSIC. Hehehehhe. "Merlin, clean yourself up. You're gross." He pulled a handkerchief from his bottomless pocket and tossed it on the table. "And what does that even mean? Murphy on a cracker? I figured that a seasoned Auror would use more colorful language by now." For real... he expected cursing and things. Sad. "Did you order it here? Did you even check to see if it was poisoned? Litmus strips, revealing charms, SMELLING it? You're such a disappointment sometimes, kid." And he was teasing about the last bit, but not the other things. Like, he really needed to get his life together. He STILL had so much to learn. Clearly. "Hey kid... let me get this out there right now... and then we will never speak of it again, okay? When I got your letter I have never been so proud of you. Seriously. You have grown up so much and your view of the world is finally not so cut and dry... You are my greatest accomplishment in the Auror and Defense areas of my life. I will always consider you family, son." And he was done. And socially awkward. Thank Merlin he had sunglasses on and he couldn't see that there were tears in his eyes. AHEM. So.... "You have kids, right? Or one? How are they and Arya? Do you have kids? I can't even remember how many I have most days." HEH. AWKWARD CHUCKLE! |
