Spiny Serpent The vases out front are only a hint of what you’ll find inside the Spiny Serpent. As you pass through the doorway a buzzer that howls like a banshee goes off, announcing your presence to the shopkeeper and the denizens of The Spiny Serpent. The store is split between flora and fauna; sentient plants, magical plants, dangerous plants, semi-illegal plants, can all be found here. Likewise any dangerous or dark creature you have a hankering for can be found within the walls of the shop.ooc: Remember that Snitchseeker site rules and the Diagon Alley rules apply at all times. As Lucille entered the premises, she blinked slightly at the noise of the buzzer. She was in the mood for some flora related purchases for her home. Actually, she was in the mood for a lot of purchases and it didn't matter to her where she was getting her supplies from. She patiently waited for the shopkeeper as she browsed the shelves. |

The problem was he was let down by how mellow and counter-chaotic everything was at this stage. Maybe he should've waited a couple more years before he made his appearance? No? "This is just boring," he murmured under his breath, his fingers grazing one of the vases. He wasn't a fool to fully touch anything around here and have his hand eaten. Again. When he made it to where the woman was standing, he smiled at her a very wide smile. "Greetings madam." No, he wasn't the shopkeeper. "Do you happen to know the name of the shopkeeper?" He asked politely, sweetly. It was better he was warned beforehand if this was Emma's. Or maybe Emma had graduated to become the big scary boss that never operated front desks? Everard would like to know, thank you. |
ooc: Lucille has a feeling about Everard but for some reason she doesn't know why. Quote:
Best to keep a calm facade. |

He moved slowly closer to the woman, hoping the shopkeeper would wait a while. Maybe they were dead if luck served him. "Please allow me to assist you in your... quest." Did people still say 'quest'? He sometimes mixed up contexts in his travels. "I'm... a regular." He stopped moving, still giving her the personal space she needed to feel safe, but his smile was getting eerier. |
Lucille was going to play along. After all, she liked excitement. As the man moved closer, her eyes slowly looked him up and down as if almost awed by his presence. She could play tricks, too. "Why thank you. I'm seeking some flora that will liven up my greenhouse at home. The more unusual, the better." She smiled a beautiful crimson grin. "I'd appreciate any help, Mr...." |

His name? She was practically asking him for his name. Oh what a delightful woman. His smile didn't falter. He considered just ending this conversation with the way he usually did. Swiftly curse the woman and take her to his groupie downstairs. Or, wait, was that wretched goblin still worked KA? He might show up once a curse had been cast. But... Everard discovered he was getting old, his eagerness to harm had lessened over the years. Pity. "Mr. Peverell. Everard Peverell." He provided honestly, fearlessly and perhaps foolishly for if this woman went about saying his name... a couple of wizards would recognize he was back and would definitely look for him. Not for a welcome party--well, maybe some would consider it a party but blood would be shed by the end of it. |

Lucille smiled as Everard stepped towards her. "Well, it would be quite interesting if a Muggle-born or even a Half-blood is here in Knockturn Alley. If fact, it would be rather amusing, don't you agree?" Oh, this woman knew of these current sensitive times. She was keeping her cards close to her chest. |

"Yeah, yeah, definitely." Agreeing with his smooth voice tone. "Would you do something if I was a mu--ggleborn.?" It was physically hard for him to say the word. He usually used Mudblood but he wasn't about to slip to a stranger. |
ooc: Lucille has had some bad experiences with Muggles Quote:
Lucille noticed the slight slip in Everard's question but she acted as if she hadn't heard anything amiss. Her light brown eyes sparkled as a certain dark thought entered her mind. "Oh, it depends on a variety of factors but a woman is entitled to her secrets." Maybe Lucille had revealed a bit much but in all honesty, she didn't care because she had gone through some issues involving Muggles. |

It was a threatening move, but he wasn't sure what he had in mind. In fact, nobody could predict what he'd do. "What's one secret you can give us?" |

"Let's just say that I'm a very proud Pureblood," she answered the man in a very cold voice. Yes, she had played her hand but she felt the need to. |
