Pips appeared in the apothecary with a loud POP!, followed by a hiccup, hiccup, hiccup. In all honesties, Pips was a very nervous elf today. It wasn't every day Pips left the castle, especially the kitchens. But there was Pips, holding with a tiny hand a list of ingredients that was needed for the new school year. This was a very important duty for Pips because Mister Master Headmaster and Mister Master Potions were all counting on him. Plus Algamus would be so, so, so angry if Pips failed to finish the job. Hiccup, hiccup. Hiccup, hiccup, hiccup. Pip's big eyes looked up and down the shelves, not knowing where to begin looking for the items that were needed. Up and down the aisles Pips went, his eyes darted from the list to the ingredients and back to the list again. Hiccup. Was there a studentsie or anybodies around to help poor, poor Pips? |
Pips! Thanks to the efficiency of January, Charles Hollingberry was on grandfather duty today. Well, at least for his lunch break. It gave him not only the opportunity to be seen by and mingle with the public - rather than exist as some mysterious being shrouded by the oftentimes bleak walls of the Ministry - but almost more importantly he was able to take his grandson out for a bit of much needed shopping. Of course he had seen Potage's Cauldron Shop next door, but there was a bit of loyalty to Slug and Jiggers Apothecary from his own school days. Not to mention his persistent peach of a daughter had been VERY adamant about purchasing this new cauldron from here. Which had Charles rather keen on having a word with the shopkeeper. "This way, m'boy," he beckoned his grandson along with while gleefully holding his hand as though the boy were still five and needed guidance. And the reminder to not touch or otherwise stack ingredients. Rather accustomed to grandpa's antics by now, Eiji permitted the man to hold his hand and even held it back with some trepidation. He had not been particularly keen on all the looks and rubbing elbows that came when going out with grandpa these days, preferring the quiet privacy that they had once had before he, well, before he had become Minister for Magic. He was proud, of course, and mum and dad were too...Eiji just preferred not to be in the spotlight. Thankfully grandpa didn't ask question upon question about Eloise. Speaking of...he missed her. But first things first. A new cauldron. "I know, grandpa," he sighed, feet a little heavy as he was dragged about the shop. "Dad used to take me here a lot before I started Hogwarts, remember?" Glancing at the shelves, he wondered if he could get grandpa to but him some more ingredients for his stock...beyond what Professor Noble required. Though the budding third year preferred to collect his own ingredients rather than purchase them, but there were just some things not easily come by - if at all - on the Hogwarts grounds. It was the sound of hiccuping that alerted the Slytherin to the presence of another, and his pale green-hazel eyes peered around until he spotted --- "....a house elf?" Naturally, given his mum, he knew who the elves at Hogwarts were and only one ever hiccuped like that. "Pips?" |
Large eyes were still glancing from the list to the items on the shelf and back again. At this point, they looked like they could pop out at any moment. Where, oh where, did the shopkeeper put his leechsies? And the mucus of flobberwormies? At this point Pips wished Mister Master Headmaster wanted him to fetch supplies for the kitchen to make delicious foodsies. Now THAT was something Pips could do easy peasy. Pips wasn't familiar with potion ingredients. In fact, he was now reaching for an item that wasn't even on his list. Hiccup! Pips jumped a few inches off the floor when his name was called, and then he ever so slowly turned around, a hiccup or two escaping his mouth. Was Pips going to get a smacking? Pips was doing his best with the shoppings, he is! Yes, Pips is! Pips swears it! But then his eyes fell on a nice boy and ... hiccup! ... Mister Minister for Magics! The elf bowed looooooooooooooooow to the ground and then squeaked, "Young Sir and Mister Minister for Magics!" He then held out his list, his eyes still staring at their shoes. "Pips is looking for potions ingredients, Young Sir and Mister Minister for Magics. But Pips is having a hard time, you sees. Pips knows these ingredients not." |
Pips u so cute I can't stand it ;______; Eiji had forgotten how much of a nuisance he found all the hiccuping to be, but silently reminded himself through a deep exhale that it was out of his control and simply one of the mechanics of this particular house elf. Though maybe he could discuss something with Professor Noble to help alleviate said hiccuping? It was more curiosity that compelled him to take the list to examine more than a genuine want to help. House elves were more something his mum dotted upon and it was a bit embarrassing finding scribblings in old yearbooks or bathroom stalls referring to his mum as the 'part house elf of Hogwarts'. "I know these," he nodded confidently. He wouldn't bother telling Pips that some could be easily collected rather than purchased. He didn't have the patience for a house elf crisis. Orders being orders and all that. Now, it had been QUITE a while since Charles had been a student and even then he had never been particularly friendly with the house elves. Certainly not enough to know any of them by name. He was not surprised that his grandson was, however. He was more his mother's son that he would let on. Ah, a testament to what his precious sun blossom had accomplished during her Hogwarts years! "Oh well isn't that just SPLENDID! Eiji, you can help our floppy eared friend out!" Charles was still unsure what to make of Trentula's decision to make the house elves act as the caretakers of Hogwarts rather then fill the spot with another capable hand, though he supposed it made sense as well and was more pooling the school's already existing resources rather than expediting. And he still couldn't be MORE proud of the young man in his accomplishment of becoming Headmaster! "Do hope these ingredients are for general supply rather than any one specific purpose." He was teasing. Somewhat. |
It was a good day for shopping, and Mary Muldoon continued searching for everything she would need to go to Hogwarts. Mary Muldoon entered the apothecary, and took a sniff of the interesting spell that wafted through the air. She walked up to the counter and asked for a set of glass phials and a brass scale. She had already gotten her cauldron from Potages. |
Another summer…another busy season. Or rather a VERY busy season as summer always was. Gideon had survived his first summer the previous year so he had some clue as to what he had to contend with but that didn’t mean the young shopkeeper could let his guard down. There was still all the hustle and bustle of students and families as they prepared for another upcoming school term. At least his last batch of potions had been finished before the morning rush. It was hard to keep track of brewing when the tinkling of the bell on the door always caught his attention and pulled him away to assist who he needed to. Quote:
“Will that be all?” Gideon asked as he set down the vials and scale on the wooden surface between them. Quote:

As she exited into Diagon, she found relief from the confined space, fragile items, and of smells. It was better for her anti-social personality. |

But a smile did appear on Pip's face when the Young Sir said that he knew of the ingredients that were on the list. Would he help Pips? Mister Master Headmaster didn't tell Pips that he couldn't get help... Pips just hoped no one told Algamus. Or that Algamus showed up. Pips didn't wanted to be smacked, oh no Pips didn't. It was at that point Pips finally stood back to normal, no longer bowing for what had to have been a very, very long time. Big eyes looked from the Young Sir to Mister Minister for Magics. "Oh yessus, Mister Minister for Magics. Pips is getting ingredients for all sorts of uses. For Mister Master Potions and the studentsies." For extra emphasis, Pips nodded his head rapidly, his ears flopping this way and that. Hiccup, hiccup. "And Pips would like the help very much, Pips would," he added as an afterthought to the Young Sir and Mister Minister for Magics. Pips still did not know where they kept the leechsies, mucus of flobberwormies, and other things in this place. |
Mary, Charles and Pips There didn’t seem to be anything else as Gideon didn’t get any answer but for the girl to hand over her money and take her purchases even before he had a chance to wrap everything up for her for safe keeping. Alright then. The shopkeeper couldn’t really fault her for her actions as he quite remembered his own younger years where he was a shy, completely in the shadows boy. At least she had given him the correct amount in her haste since she also hadn’t given him the chance to tell her how much it all was. Setting the money safe in the cash register, he was free to investigate the seemingly familiar presence in the shop. Sure enough it was Kurumi’s father, otherwise known nowadays as the British Minister of Magic. And was that her son? Was he and Kurumi old enough for his old friend to have a child his age? “Good day, Minister,” Gideon greeted politely as he came up to the little group, the house elf speaking about needing help or something like that. “Could I be of any help myself?” After all it was his shop and it was relatively empty at the moment aside from those before him so he was free to assist all three of them. |
Malachi walks into the Apothecary with slight excitement, he’s heard about potion making and found it fascinating. He takes out his school supplies list and looks at what he’s supposed to get. |

hi this is open Only working part time at St. Mungo's was working wonders for Elodie's mental health. She had been able to use her days off to be with the girls, to work hard on her marriage (this had been difficult) and to finally start laying down the plans for her clinic. This had been something in the works since she her gotten herself straight after Cecily's birth and only now was she able to start putting things together. She had all of her planning permission, all of her budget worked out and she was ready to start getting everything stocked and ready as the months went by. A little bit here and a little bit there. She wanted everything before she started building the right team up. And she wanted a fully stocked potions pantry for that team. When this finally happened. So she pocketed the packet of sunflower seeds she had been snacking on as she walked around the apothecary, noting down the stock that they had that might be important for her to have. |

Elodie and Gideon ^^ She was annoyed but not quite livid. It was.....a visible sort of annoyance, one she knew the 6 year old could feel all too well but it wasn't the ranting and cussing like she sometimes fell into when the little girl was being.....exceptionally trying on her patience. Sneaking into her potions equipment, breaking all the phials under the excuse that she just wanted to "try it, too". Yeah...the former Gryffindor was pretty up there steaming but was getting better at controlling those moments. Only yelled that once then got quiet and seethy. Improvement, no? At any rate, it was better than when the then infant had gotten into the potions and swallowed things she shouldn't have. Nevermind how determined the 6 year old would've had to be to get into them NOW, Lex was keeping her composure. Calm. Calm. Alexa moved briskly through the store, her grip firm but not abrasive around Emmerson's wrist as she pulled her along. This would be a short trip. There would be no stop in the candy shop. There would be no new toys from WWW. They would not get ice-cream. Someone was in huge trouble. It was a little difficult keeping up with the wide steps her mother took but at this point, she knew better than to protest. She hadn't meant to break everything. How was she supposed to know climbing the shelves like that would make it happen? Now her knees hurt and she had a bandaid and a sinking feeling the yelling her mother hadn't done at the house would be done when they got back. She WAS sorry but Mummy seemed to get angrier every time she said it, so she'd stopped for now and would wait til later to give her hugs and cuddles and make everything better. Yes. She'd wait for bedtime and everything would be okay. For now, she did her best not to touch anyth--"AUNTIE ELODIE!!!"Without thinking, the 6 year old tugged away sharply and ran toward the woman, all grins. Angry mother? What angry mother? "HI! HIIIIII! Where's Italy??" That's what Mummy called her and she liked it too so she did. Circe sake. "Emmerson!" The words the kid had yelled before running off didn't register, only the fact that she had. Lex turned sharply on her heel to go after her, pausing only as the shopkeeper addressed her. Help? He could maybe help her stay out of Azkaban. Breathe, Alexa. "New phials to start." |

"Cece is at school, sweetheart. She's.. learning all those basic muggle things." And that was a firm reminder that Elodie needed to get her into something with Wizarding knowledge again. |
Hopefully my attempt at time line mixing works xD SPOILER!!: Alexa Right…starting with vials. “Will do,” he remarked with a nod, moving to the shelves to retrieve said phials. Gideon almost asked if she wanted glass or crystal, but given the air around her, not to mention the young girl, it seemed the need might have been because of broken ones so he stuck with the glass. Better not to rack up the expense if they might accidentally be broken…again. The shopkeeper just hoped they didn’t have damage to today. SPOILER!!: Elodie "Very well." Gideon wouldn't bug her if he wasn't needed. "Just let me know if I can assist in anyway," he added, about to leave her to return to the first woman with the phials to see what might be next on however long her list might turn out to be when the little girl from before actually came rushing towards the woman who didn't need help. Could they be connected? Certainly seemed that way. |
"Mummy's not happy right now--I got cut! Look!" The 6 year old lifted her knee as high as she could, hopping precariously on her other leg with a large bandage wrapped about, lightly stained red. "I fell--I was hiiiigh up and then...and then I was gonna make potions like Mummy does--she doesn't like me climbing the shelves. They fell. I fell--how come Italy has to go to school? What's school like? I didn't have classes today." The wild rambles and hopping stopped the moment she felt a hand on her shoulder and the familiar scent of her mother flooded her nostrils. She quieted noticeable but even then was not entirely silent. "Look Mummy, Auntie Elodie." She tried, suddenly aware she was in trouble again and suddenly less bouncy. Her daughter was a lesson in patience and had always been. Today would not be the exception, even after already being in hot water. Elodie's presence took a bit of the edge off there, as did the shopkeeper's intervention. She tightened her hand on the little girl's shoulder, silently indicating she'd had enough of her for the day. "Sometimes I think she'd be better off at school." Lex chimed in, sparing her kid a glance. "Longer hours, more often in the week, less time to get her hands in things." At current, it was evident that even with dance and gymnastics, Emmerson still had WAY too much energy at any one point in the day. "What're you doing here?" |
Quote:
Looking up from Emmerson, Elodie smiled at Lex. "Having Ceec at school means I get that time to myself or with Lunie." Or at work, anyway. Or seeing old 'friends' that had came out of the woodwork. "Just thinking about what stock to have on deck when the clinic eventually opens. I assume you're restocking your shelves after someones accident?" |
Summer is here! The summer season was finally here and the festivities surrounding the Wizarding World Cup had barely begun. Yet Gideon was already seeing the results within his shop. Adults and students alike flooding Diagon Alley and the alley’s various businesses. Including the apothecary. He’d previously set out a whole flush of fresh stock earlier in the week and was now filling in here and there whenever he could manage and it was only Thursday. Thank Merlin he had made sure to have added seasonal help this time around. Gideon carefully balanced a small pile of size 2 pewter cauldrons from the backroom, one of his assistants passing in the opposite direction after unloading his own supplies. It was good for business all in all. Very busy…incredibly hectic at times…but good. He just hoped they and the shop all survived the experience. |
Ah, summer. It was warm and that's how Analiese liked it. Not too hot though. Now what did she need? Analiese counted the places she went in her head. I've gone to Ollivander's, Flourish and Blotts, and Potage's, was what was circling in her head. Not to forget Wiseacre's, she thought. Now the apothecary. Ugh. She liked potions but it probably reeked in there. She walked into the shop and was greeted by a much, much nicer smell than she imagined. Analiese thought it would smell of something like rotten eggs, but her imagination was something out of this world. Back to what she needed for Hogwarts. Analiese checked her supply list and by the look of things, all she needed was a set of brass scales and some glass or crystal phials. She had already bought her cauldron from Potage's. The 11-year-old placed the list back in her pocket and looked up. She walked around to look for a brass scale. Analiese tripped on her shoelace and her hip hit a nearby shelf. Now she had a sharp pain in her hip. How convenient. |
Ugh! Nothing like seemingly having a bad day. First he had discovered the latest shipment of supplies he had ordered had been delayed in transit for at least a week. Then, the relatively simple potion he had been brewing had decided to act up and cause a mess. Gideon didn't know what was up, but for now he was stepping away from the back rooms. Nothing more could be done there at the moment without risk of making more trouble or frustration. Maybe absently and peacefully straightening up the front of shop was in order, the man picking up a rag from behind the counter and moving around the shelves for a bit to clean here and there. |

While his eyesite was getting better – kind of – it wasn’t back to normal and Adam had his doubts that it ever would be normal again. His one concern was tapping around the shop and accidently bumping into things or whacking something with his support cane. He sighed. He probably should have asked someone to come along with him, but who would he have asked? Over the usual apothecary smells, Adam could smell something…off…but he wasn’t sure what it was. Perhaps a potion brewing in the back room or next door. It smelled like the bubble over had burned. He also heard someone moving around. ”Hallo?” he called with his heavy German accident. Maybe the shop keeper was around and could help him with his list. Adam was sure taking a few minutes to help him would be preferable to Adam bumbling around the shop blindly. |
Quote:
“ello,” the shopkeeper returned, coming around and up to the man, his own brogue lightly present. It was then that he took notice of the cane his companion was holding as well as the glasses. Looks like he was right in looking into his entrance. “May I help you?” |

Gideon paid careful attention to the man’s tone as well as his words to make sure he caught the gist even through the thick German accent he had. It reminded his of his grandfather who even after years abroad in Portugal, still retained the strong tongue of his Scottish ancestors. “Aye, that I certainly assist you with,” the potioner assured him, accepting the offered list with an approving nod. Made just a little less work for him in deciphering what to gather. His eyes gracing the parchment page as he wordlessly summoned a basket to make the gathering easier. Quote:

Summer 2099 Splish...splash....sploosh! Some soapy water swished over the side of the bucket as Gideon set it down on the floor with a plop, a mop slung over his shoulder. Geez...the shop needed a clean and now was the perfect time to do it. "It'll be better in no time..." the shopkeeper mused as he looked around the shelves and barrels, counters and floors of the shop already straightened up for the summer season. Swinging the mop down from up high, accidentally hitting the light fixture and sending it swaying. "Right! Might need to start up top first." He reached up to stop the swinging as he debated if he needed some assistance before setting the mop aside and returning momentarily tp the back room for a ladder. Setting it up, he pulled a rag from his back pocket, dunked it in the bucket and climbed enough so he could properly wipe the lights. Swish...swish...swish. |

The woman made her way into the apothecary, wondering if it had somehow been mistaken for the wrong sort of book and dropped off here. Emma approached the man, already suspicious of his actions by nature and virtue of what she sought but just as willing to chalk it up as coincidence depending on what happened in the next few seconds. "I'm looking for a book. One that by the looks of this place you may have seen." |
Come play <3 Alexander was trying to be on his best behavior. He really was. He had tagged along with his sister to Diagon Alley with his school supplies list in his pocket, and he was really trying to stick to that but it was just so easy to get distracted. There was a sweet shop right there. But he had resisted (for now) and veered into the apothecary instead. He needed to stock up on a few potions ingredients for school. Maybe after he had gotten those he could go get some candy. Or a butterbeer. Or some ice cream. There were just so many possibilities and they were all much more exciting than his school supplies. Except, no, he needed to focus. Alexander shook his head briefly in an attempt to clear his mind and focus his thinking as he walked down the aisles, list in hand. The sooner he could get what he came for the sooner he could go shopping for more exciting things. |
Quote:
“And what would make you think I’ve seen what tome your looking for?” He tended to handle any book buying, usually special potions books, through channels so he hadn’t exactly been frequenting Flourish and Blotts lately to be spied on. If she had spied on him. That would be awkward and pretty wrong. Downright dirty even. Like something more he had to clean up...sort of speak. Quote:
Gideon scrubbed down the counter trying to get a few stubborn spots out of the old wood. He could only imagine just what had made the marks over the years. At the tinkling of the bell, the shopkeeper was alerted to a new customer which meant he had to stop scrubbing if the young man needed help. But maybe not just yet. Scrub...scrub...scrub. |
Well, this place was interesting. And by interesting, he meant if one enjoyed the creepy-crawlies of pickled and dried…what-have-yous that lined the shelves. Personally? Jack had never been one for potions. In fact, he’d barely passed the class in school and that was mostly because he had been pretty damn good at copying what other people were doing, not because he had any skill with the cauldron. Nope. Jack possessed no skill with potions AT ALL. He tapped on a jar. The thing inside didn’t move. That was at least good. He walked on, deeper into the shop. He picked up an item, only to put it back and pick up another. From one shelf to another he wandered. Anyone watching him would think him mad or that he clearly had no clue where to look for the ingredients on the list in his pocket. Sure, he could have gone to one of his contacts in Knockturn for this, gotten all the ingredients without much work on his part. But as the items he was asked to obtain weren’t black-market and he had been given the means to procure them in an honest manner, it was safer to get them through legal means. Whatever his client wanted with the items, well, that was their business not his. He picked up a bottle of Nettles and gave them a shake. As it he put it back, the cover rattled. He moved one down the row, dragging a finger along the bottles as he went. AH! Here was one item he needed! He grabbed the container of leeches and tucked it under an arm. |
Quote:
“May I help you with anything?” he offered, figuring to be polite and be proactive since it wasn’t like there was anyone else in shop to help. It was a quiet moment in the course of the day which suited Gideon just fine. Busy seasons were soon enough. |

A man on a mission. One that he seemed uncomfortable with. He certainly wasn’t a familiar face in this shop in recent times. Gideon almost asked for said list but settled on doing his best to keep a mental one of his own. Best not to make the man more awkward than he appeared by asking for it in case he was possessive of the knowledge on the list. “Right…” he answered with a nod to show he was indeed listening. Then the first thing he did was summon a basket from the pile kept by the door, the better to gather a bunch of items without trying to juggle them. “Well you were close to the slugs,” he mused, putting a few in a container that allowed them to remain fresh. Leeches and slugs were kept near as they were similar in properties. Putting the container in the basket, Gideon moved onto the next closest item, his familiarization with the exact shop layout a plus. “Boomslang skin…” he identified as he picked up the item, adding it as well. A turn around the corner and up the next aisle got the rat spleen already in a jar which was added to the basket. "I'll weigh that at the counter to make sure its enough," he assured the man. |
Quote:
Oooooo! His eyes landed on something shiny. And Long. Both good things. He could probably get a decent price for that to the right buyer – ”What?” he said as the shopkeeper said something about skin. ”Skin. Right right.” He needed to focus. What else was on the list? He glanced down at it…
Mmm…He glanced into the shopkeeper’s basket. ”I also need 15 ounces of powdered Bicorn horn.” And while the guy was getting that – he’d find the lacewing flies. |
As he went through the verbal list he had been given to check what else was needed, Gideon couldn’t help but notice the other two items that had been added to the basket by the other man. Leeches and knotgrass. That, with what he himself had gathered, plus the bicorn horn that was just mentioned and the fluxweed he’d nearly forgotten, might seem like random items. Until you put them together into a rather potent potion. Polyjuice. “Interesting brewing you're working on, “ he mused absently as he headed away around another aisle abstentiously to grab the missing ingredients in a different corner of the shop. The shopkeeper wasn’t quite sure what to do about the information he had just figured out. |
Quote:
He took his time looking over the shelves and eventually found the lacewing flies. For the heck of it, he grabbed a bottle of beetles as well. He brought both up to the counter. The bottles landed on the counter with a loud clink. ”So,” he asked leaning on the counter. ”What’s the damage?” He was certain he had enough money to cover everything including the few extra ingredients he had tossed into the basket. |
So, the man was definitely giving off the vibe that he had no clue to the significance of what he was collecting. Unless he was a really good actor. For his sister…right. That would fit the bill and explain why he wasn’t recognizing some of the more well-known ingredients when he was right near them. And the fact that the shopkeeper had never seen him before in the shop. He was usually pretty aware of faces. On second thought, even if they were for him, Gideon wasn’t sure he could restrict since none of the ingredients individually for forbidden or restricted despite the complicated relationship they could have together. Surely his brother, and maybe dad would chide him for always looking out for the bad on matters when it didn’t have to be that way. And if Nigel heard he had caused trouble and potential buyers without exact provocation… Coming up behind the counter after grabbing the last of the items, the shopkeeper looked everything over, actually needing the antiquated machine to keep it all straight. “That would be 19 galleons and 6 sickles all total,” he informed the man, briefly wondering if he was prepared for that total. A decent sale for sure and not the average take that he usually dealt with. |
Theaaa. The shopkeeper was probably tired of seeing her in here. Pfft. Her own mother was probably tired of giving her money she would just spend on potions supplies and not things she needed for school. But Babs would just guilt her about the divorce and be on her merry way towards Diagon Alley. Thankfully, she no longer had to bring her siblings along, only to babysit. But her older sister, Timila, had to come along and make sure she didn't buy anything dangerous. Though the Slytherin girl was still only sixteen. BUT ONLY UNTIL NOVEMBER. Then she would be almost free to do as she pleases. Walking into the shop, Babs looked down at her list and walked around the aisles for some vials. Hers kept blowing up when working on things back home, or selling them to curious folks. Either way, her stock was currently running low. |
Quote:
And even though now he had more safe places.. coming here to this store still made him feel safe. He was running low on vials and a few basic ingredients that he needed for his sleeping potions, so he moved down the aisles, his black jacket over his gray shirt.. his hair a bit of a mess.. He turned the corner and smiled as he saw who was in front of him.. “Fancy meeting you here. ” He said with a half smirk.. |
Quote:
Despite his excitement, he put on a thoughtful look as if he was thinking over his finances. ”Right. Thanks,” he pulled out the coins and handed them over. ”I’m sure I’ll be back sometime. We just moved here and my sister doesn’t like crowds.” He gave the shopkeeper a slightly abashed looking smile, hoping it gave the impression of a caring brother who was slightly embarrassed by a sibling. It was best to lay some sort of story in case he had to come back and the short explanation should be enough to explain the odd quantities he was buying. He was glad that he was finishing up, because the shop was getting busy. ”Thanks again dude,” Jack said emphasizing the strong Brooklyn accent he’d been using. And grabbing his packages his left. |
Quote:
"Oh? Didn't we bump into each other before already?" She gave him a small laugh before picking up another vial, examining it, and setting it into her basket. |
Quote:
Meh.. Dungeon creature life was easier for sure. But he needed to try. “Yeah, we did. I guess we both just keep needing potion supplies. ” He said as he too picked up a vial and looked around. He grinned at her.. “What are you making this time? ” He asked curiously as he examined the vial carefully. |
Quote:
"Are you making anything besides the sleeping potions?" Babs returned his question, since she didn't have an answer herself. |
Quote:
Ahh the joys of having a very small flat. “Yeah, I’ve been making a few different things.. mainly trying to challenge myself and see what I’m capable of. ” He said with a grin at her. |
Star-Lord and MunchyBubbles too if you need him. Quote:
The bell on the door signaling other customers distracted the shopkeeper slightly from the notion of more visits and embarrassed sisters. Instead Gideon simply handling over the wrapped purchases to the man as they were grabbed for and nodding at the added thanks. Right…it was the busy season. The man wiping the counter before moving from around it, debating checking on the others.. |
Ashley only needed a few things. A basic potion kit, a set of brass scales, and a set of crystal phials. She wondered how much that came out to in total.... and also where to find them. She looked around anxiously, trying to find one of the items on her list. |

Almost. “I can certainly help with that,” Gideon assured her as he moved to the area surrounding the counter. A place where most of the school supplies were kept for easy access. Especially the shopkeepers when they had to grab a missing item without wandered too far from the register. From the various shelves the shopkeeper carefully retrieved a set of vials, scales, and pre-wrapped bundle of ingredients. “Do you need a cauldron as well?” he asked, knowing it wasn’t necessarily a necessity. Cauldrons could be quite durable for the most part and some students inherited from older siblings that went before. |

for Steph! Being a parent was great! ..... Most of the time. Other times it was exhausting and difficult and ... y'know. Other adjectives within that same ballpark. Never something he regretted though. Today was one of the exhausting days, but his children were his pride and joy so he'd manage. Especially because he just had one of them today. And with Mia and Soph taking their girls day together, Zander couldn't think of a better time to venture out to Diagon Alley to restock Sophie's potion supplies. She always worked so hard, you know? He had been wanting to surprise her with a full shelf for a while now, but time was hard to come by. So after a quick stop at sugarplum's (to get Alfie a lolly to keep him busy), the two boys headed into the apothecary. Annnnnnnnnnnnd..... Not even a second later, Alfie was out of his stroller and running towards one of the displays. "Alfie, no! Put it down!" This two year old was too curious for his own good, honestly. |

As he was looking for some potion supplies that had to deal with creature related instances he was sifting through some bottles and heard a voice that sounded concerned. He scrunched his eyebrows in confusion and turned around and saw a familiar face. He chuckled and knew that face anywhere. Speaking of memory lane he used to go to school with that guy. Now he had kids? Woah where did the time go? Now as a current bachelor status and hasn't really dated in a while. "Hey man here is a tip maybe bringing kids where glass bottles are easily accessible is not the best option.." He saw the kid trying to run and grab for supplies. He grinned and saw it was Zander. "But Zander how have you been doing mate long time no see." He wondered what this guy has been doing for a bit but clearly he has his hands full. He hoped Zander still remembered him because if not this would be awkward. |

Despite all of this, let it be known that Zander had managed to perfect the dad stare. The one that meant 'we're not doing this today, kiddo'. You know? That one. It was Dad 101. That was about as strict as it got under his rules and boy, oh boy, was Alfie on the receiving end of the stare right now. Taking the vials away from the two year old, Zander quickly made work to place them back in their appropriate places. "We're here for your mum, remember, Alfie? We're on a mission!" To which Alfie simply responded with an elated, "MUMMY!" Yeah, yeah. It was the same way Zander lit up when he talked about her too. Alfie got that from his dad, no doubt. "Listen, man, I didn't really have much of a-" but what he didn't have much of, Zander never got around to saying. Because as soon as he looked up to see who was talking to him, the annoyance faded out, only to be replace by a great deal of surprise. "Kace, what!?" This was nuts! Long time no see? "Yeah, no kidding! Wow. It's really been years." The guy hadn't aged a bit. Okay, maybe he had. But only a bit. |
