Oh, oops, it was the other way. Nevermind. Letting herself be led towards the door she gave Milton a grin before stepping over the threshold to see...nothing. It was quite dark. Had he forgotten to turn on the lights?

"Err." It was only then that she consciously remembered their prior conversation concerning the combos and discount and coming back and all that stuff. Turning around to face him, Alysson almost ran smack into him, managed not to however, leaving her wobbling slightly to not lose her balance. "Sorry...did you say I should come back in 6(!) months?!" There had to be a reason for her to come sooner...he sold other stuff too right? Apart from Makup. Hmm...

Placing a finger on her lower lip, rather lost in thought, Alysson turned back around to squint ahead to see the awesome stuff with which Milton made the even more awesome stuff outside.

Whoa. What was going on here? Did Milton all of a sudden go blind?

No... it was dark in here. Milton busied himself for a few seconds with lighting a few torches with his wand. "That's better." he said looking around the room. It was a bit of a mess. There were cauldrons laying about and numerous racks of phials. There was also a vanity set and a full length mirror in the far corner of the room.

"Well... er... this is where the magic happens." he said.

He then turned to face her. And she was coming toward her. Eep. Was she going to run into him? He closed his eyes anticipating a collision. After not feeling a SMACK he opened one of his eyes. Oh she was fine, just off-balance. Good.

"Wait? Is that a problem?" he asked quickly. "I mean, that was just a rough estimate... that is a lot of stuff that you would be getting..." he added.

"Good." She said, and walked elegantly to the backroom.

She hesitated and turned to the jittery shopkeeper.

"Oh, and of anything should go wrong... I'll see to it I'm not the only one who looks that way. Now stop dawdling, and hurry up."

Milton followed the customer to the back room. He took from the cabinet a gold goblet and then walked over to a cauldron filled with a bubbling goldish-reddish thick mixture. He ladled a ladle full into the goblet before handing it to the lady.

"Here you go." he said holding it out.

Aliena gave him a half smile of gratitude, then drank.

She felt a strange tickly feeling all over, then pain. CRAAAAAAAZY pain. Like a giant boulder stuck in her skull. But for some reason, she couldn;t scream. Her lips were locked shut.

She felt a bubbling sensation underneath her skin and then- she was a puddle.

Just a puddle.

A blue puddle of Aliena on the floor.

Milton quickly waved his wand to restore his customer. "How are you feeling?" he asked the new and improved version of her. "You look great."

"By the way - your aura is blue." he said trying not to get freaked out by what just happened. He probably should have added those extra mint leaves.

Oh well, he'd do better next time.

There was a ripple, and the puddle rose and formed Aliena again.

But she was different. She was no longer seven foot tall, with a thick black plait and pale blue eyes and with a long black cloak and sallow skinned.

Instead, she was five foot three. Her black hair was now a soft blonde pixie cut and her sallow skin was now a pale cream. Instead of blue, her eyes were stormy grey. Her cloak was gone and in its place was a grey dress just above her knee topped off with a silver cloak draped over her back and reaching the back of her knees and a pair of six inch silver stilettos.

She looked bloody well gorgeous.

Milton smiled and crossed his arms across his chest. He was pleased. His first real makeover customer looked great. Now the question was whether or not she was pleased.

He walked over to the full length mirror and ushered her over to join him.

"Well. What do you think?" he asked.

"I think it's not what I was looking for... But it's great. Also-" She stopped. "Also... I have to go thanks a lot." She said, "for being so nice." She kissed him briskly. "I have to go now."

Milton's expression fell slightly when she said that is wasn't quite what she was looking for. Then all of a sudden she kissed him. That was... unexpected... "Erm... no problem..." he said kind of dumbstruck.

Hm... maybe he could get used to shopkeeping if these were the rewards...
