On this crisp late February morning, you make your way out onto the Hogwarts grounds for the typical 8 am lesson in Defense Against the Dark Arts. The Headmaster would like to hope you've dressed both sensibly and comfortably for the lesson but if you haven't...you're in for an hour of possibly being snared by your own robes.
Under a tree, the Headmaster sits on a chair he's conjured, working his way through the latest stack of essays you have submitted while he waits for you to arrive.
They weren't all bad, most weren't. It was a promising sign.
As there are no chairs or desks in this outdoor setting, you can choose to stand anywhere close by. Those will not be needed at all during the next hour and would really only get in the way.
OOC: Welcome to the first DADA lesson!! Don't forget to read the classroom rules before posting. I'll have the first question up in 24-28 hours
Today was alright. It wasn't the best, but it was alright. She was outside, the weather was nice, there was no murder occurring. So it was not the worst day she could have. She was thankful for that, at least. "Morning Headmaster." Ash even smiled. Surprise! She was in a good mood today. You're all welcome."Nice weather today, in my opinion anyway." Ha. That rhymed. Ash ran her fingers through her hair. It had pink streaks in it again, which was something she kinda liked. She stood in a random spot near Trent, just chilling. Because Ash was being pretty chill, at least for now. Yay?
Nem had returned only the previous afternoon from a fortnight's absence, and naturally the very next lesson on their schedule was Defence Against the Dark Arts. They headed out to the lesson area on the grounds, almost warm given the hidden layers they still wore every day, twirling their wand deftly around their fingers, right hand remaining pocketed. Dressed comfortably, of course. Practically.
They came to a stop off to the side of where they anticipated the bulk of students would gather, in a position where they could subtly edge back and stay on the very margins of the group if it spread out. Nem's demeanour was much the same as it had been in all their lessons for months, subdued and silent, and otherwise inscrutable. As to greetings, a brief look towards the Headsman sufficed, another recent habit that remained unchanged by their little break. Nem spoke to him whenever they caught up, and that was more than enough to be getting on with. Maybe that was the trade off for their silence in all lessons these days, or maybe it was a simple lack of engagement. Maybe both.

Faye took in the crisp morning air as she made her way onto the grounds for Defense Against the Dark Arts after leaving the castle. The air certainly was crisp to say the least, but the sixth year didn't really mind, she found it refreshing. She wrapped her layers around her frame a little tighter though as she made her approach to where the Headmaster was waiting for the rest of the students under a tree. It would appear that she was one of the early arrivals this morning seeing as to how there was only two other students there waiting.
As she came closer she was able to immediately recognize Nem and a young Ravenclaw. Giving both of them a kind smile as she passed them. Her eyes immediately went back to the Headmaster as she politely bowed her head in her usual manner, "Good morning Headmaster.." Faye hadn't really seen the Headmaster too recently, not since the cast list for the play had gone up so perhaps thought it might be alright to take that opportunity now?
She cleared her throat before speaking clear enough, "I also wanted to say thank you Headmaster for the opportunity to work with you on the play, I am very much looking forward to it.." Among other reasons that she didn't feel necessary to say, but nevertheless, she was indeed rather excited to begin rehearsals. But that excitement would be contained for now, since this was a lesson and her full attention would NOT be distracted. Faye repositioned herself to a new spot as she patiently waited for the rest of the students to arrive.

Cece had been doing her very best to keep her head down and stay out of the Headmaster's way given recent events. She figured the man wasn't exactly mad at her, but she couldn't imagine he was pleased with her either. Or Kale. It was awkward. Merlin, was it awkward. WHY was it so awkward? Oh wait, she knew. It's because Kale and his dad were able to talk about all the things and that meant about her and that meant awkward.
Yikes.
"Hello Headmaster," She greeted quietly as she walked past him and found herself a spot to stand by one of her favorite Hufflepuffs . She couldn't quite make eye contact with the head-man for reasons, but she hoped he wouldn't hold that against her. Also, her essay? She'd spent ages on it, okay? She'd done okay, she hoped.
"Hey Faye." Pretty Faye. Kind Faye. She'd be standing by her today.
It was far too early to be outside, in her opinion. The weather was… chilly. Remy was wrapped up in standard schooling attire, with a cotton vest underneath for extra comfort. The first year hadn’t slept all the best last night, so was slightly worried that her concentration would be off during today’s class. Still, she arrived in good time and joined the gathering of students already here.
Remy’s ears perked up at another students (Faye) mention of the play. It was beneficial for her to listen, given she was a semi-main… maybe secondary… okay, tertiary character. She stood beside Faye and beamed in agreement to her statement, although too afraid to comment herself in case it was deemed an inappropriate time to talk about it. Now was the time for beating dark arts! “Good morning, Headmaster Trent.” How come he got a chair but they didn’t?
The Gryffindor offered Cece an acknowledging smile. Such a friendly face, who Remy would love to have had more chances to get to know after their meeting at the start of term feast.

Eden couldn't shake the lingering distrust - not distaste, not disrespect - for the Headsman. Her second year at this castle was slowly waning, and she had yet to be slighted by the man (had joined his Dueling club and play, even), but something she couldn't place a finger on kept her shoulders stiff in his presence.
Still, he would receive the politeness he was due. She looked him in the eyes from a safe distance.
"Good morning, Headmaster Trent," Her lips formed a flat, neutral line. Few outside her circle saw her smile nowadays, unless she was trying to sell something - she wasn't sad, just cloaked in an unshakeable seriousness.
On a more positive note, the girl found it much easier to enjoy class when outdoors, and much easier still to focus on a practical subject such as Defense. She stood apart from those already present, even her friends, playing with the golden rings on her pointer finger and gazing up at the branches of a nearby tree.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
It became evident that Defence Against the Dark Arts was not Daniel's strongest subject. Although he was still better at it than Flying. But that needed to change over the years if he wanted to become a curse breaker one day.
Upon arriving at the outdoor "classroom" Daniel greeted the Headmaster with a simple "Hello Professor" and looked down at the essays, hoping that his was at least decent enough. He then was about to stand somewhere and wait for class to begin when he spotted...
"Nem!" he shouted upon seeing the older Slytherin and after give the Headmaster an apologetic look, cause you know, shouting, whoops, he walked towards them with a quick pace "Nem! Nem! Check this! I did a shield charm a few days ago!" he. Was. Excited! Could they notice?!? "I wanted to tell you but I couldn't find you anywhere..." had they been sick? He hadn't checked the hospital wing now that he thought about it. But that wasn't important! his shield skillzzz were. "Anyway! Your tips helped, thank you" so what were they going to be learning about today. He hoped it was some kind of dark creature.

Early morning lessons were Kinsay's favorite kind, but lessons with Headmaster Trent were her least favorite kind. So despite being 1000% awake, the third year still had to drag her feet to Defense Against the Dark Arts. It did help that they were outside today. She didn't even mind the chill because she had packed on lots of layers of clothing (her last attempt at a heating charm looked more like an attempt at incendio, so um, no thanks).
Well insulated and waddling just a bit, she made her way over to join the others, choosing to stand near Nem. Even though his absence had her all sorts of worried, she still offered him a polite smile. Cece and Faye received small smiles too, as would her other friends when they joined the group. Kins would have avoided speaking to their Headmaster all together, if she thought she wouldn't get into trouble for it, but because she really didn't want to be singled out, she offered him a quiet greeting too. "Hi, Headmaster." With the way she kept her eyes on her feet and shrunk her body, it hardly seemed like a greeting at all.
She didn't trust Headmaster Trent. For reasons. It made Defense lessons so hard. She always felt so silly. But that's why she chose to stand next to Nem. Nem was someone she knew she could trust. He'd never do anything to make her feel wrong or silly or incessant.
Mamie wasn't even cold today, thanks to her gloves and having had a nice run before this first class. Honestly, she was in a fairly good mood, until she got to the gathering place and spotted Ashley with her...pink hair. It looked really good.
But Ash hated her now.
Instead, turned to greet the headmaster with a painfully cheerful "Good morning!" before taking up some space next to Kinsay and little Yoon and Upstead. She gave each of them a little nod before glancing wistfully over at Ash and her pink hair.
Violet hated early morning activities, but she had grown used to having DADA at this hour (she'd had to). "Good morning, Headmaster," she managed to say in a relatively coherent manner, and then went over to stand by Ash, who she'd begun to worry about a bit this year. The girl didn't quite seem...herself. "Hi, Ash," she said to her as she approached.
V sincerely hoped that he hadn't gotten to the first year essays yet......she had not done well because she had not done the reading as well as she wanted to, and she always was NOT a good writer.
At least, she didn't think so.
"Morning, Headmaster," she said politely as she went to stand by Remy. Ash was right, the weather was kind of nice today. And look at that - of COURSE Daniel Yoon was talking to that MEANIE HEAD older kid Nem. Victoria had literally never said TWO WORDS to him, but that didn't matter!!! HER OPINION WAS TOTALLY STILL VALID.
She just snorted, rolled her eyes, and smiled at Remy. "Hey. It's early and I'm tired, but good morning," she told her friend. At least she thought they were friends ;__;

Early morning lessons had gotten to be sort of one of those things Gracelyn had gotten used to. No matter if it was cold or otherwise, they happened. Not to mention the fact things just seemed that much lighter now that there wasn’t a cult looming over them, that there was a play to look forward to. She was absolutely looking forward to rehearsals and the subsequent performance. Or performances. There were still questions, but they’d find out the answers soon enough.
Nor was she particularly concerned about her essay, as she had noticed him going through the stack upon arrival at the tree, dressed warmly and what she figured was practical given the subject. She wasn’t about to get caught on anything, nor caught off guard by anything like the pop quiz from the beginning of term. “Good morning, Headmaster Trent,” she greeted him, giving him a smile even as she chose to stand with Cece and Faye, lightly nudging her friends in greeting. Hi fellow girl!pirates! Remy and Kinsay got smiles too.

This sixth year was suitably and comfortably dressed, yes. She was wide awake and ready for today’s lesson. Well, as ready as she could possibly be for one of her weaker subjects. “Headmaster,’’ Claudine greeted stiffly, still very much having some resentment for the man. Without another word, or even a care about the fact that Trent could possibly be grading an essay of hers, she drifted over to Eden.
“Hi, Eden,’’ she said, smiling at the little second year. Claudine gazed around now, looking for some sort of hint to today’s lesson. There wasn’t much to go on and after a while, she simply gave up trying to figure things out.

Phoebe knew that Cece felt a certain amount of tenseness with the Headmaster, understandably, although Phoebe herself enjoyed being a grown up precious bean to the man. It had been awful when he was replaced by the jerk Rosier, and she enjoyed having him back. But regardless, she was glad to stand next to her friend and hold her hand.
"Hullo, Headmaster! I wore my lucky legwarmers again, so let's not get them snared on a dangerous creature, ok?"
Kale Alexander Trent had done his time. Twelve days of it. In detention! And like tbh??? Fair, Dad. He’d gone and done some real stupid stuff and had earned those consecutive detentions to— what did the old man say??— keep him out of trouble. Consider trouble avoided.
He’d ducked his head in a quiet kinda greeting as he walked by the headmaster. At most, his father got a, “Sup, Dad,” but in reality it was a mumbled mess. Words were hard, bro. Life was harder. And could be a real doozy sometimes.
The sixth year didn’t want the judgment so he avoided saddling up next to his girlfriend. Instead he chose something less conspicuous and smiled at a Pheebs. “Hiya,” Kale greeted his friend with slightly more energy.
Kayne was ready for another day of Defense Against the Dark Arts. All bundled up in a sweater due to the cold weather, the sly Slytherin made his way to the grounds where class would be taking place for the day. One hand carrying his notebook due to him rushing out from the dorms to make it on time, the other hand carrying a mug with some tea he quickly grabbed from the Great Hall, Kayne smiled as he greeted the Headmaster. "Good morning Headmaster."
Looking around to see if any of his friends were here, Kayne had laid his eyes upon the one, the only, Ash; aka the Queen of the Swamp aka his new best friend aka his partner in crime. Making his way over to her, the fourth year waved. "Hey Ash!" He said with delight. "How are you doing today? Hope it's not too cold for you." If she was feeling what he was feeling, then Ash would definitely be freezing right now.
Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when
As she made her way to the grounds for the lesson, Fiona saw Headmaster Trent with the essays that had been submitted by the class. There was a bit of nervousness but she certainly wasn't going to let that show.
"Good morning, Headmaster Trent," Fiona greeted in a polite but not overly cheery manner. Spotting Claudine and the young Ravenclaw (Eden), she made her way over to them and stood next to her fellow Snakette. "Hey there," she greeted them both.

Who would've guessed that Heath would actually enjoy DADA lessons? Maybe it was his OWL score giving him confidence, or maybe it was his trust that Headmaster Trent wouldn't let any serious harm come to anyone. Whatever the reason, he was here, well rested, sensibly dressed, and willing to learn. "Good morning, Headmaster," he greeted, spotting the man seated under a tree as he approached the group, though he kept his voice down so as not to distract him from the essays.
His dark eyes scanned the group for familiar faces, and he stood by Claudine, Fiona, and Eden. "Hi," he greeted the trio, nodding in polite acknowledgement to each girl in turn. As he waited for the lesson to begin, he looked around his surroundings in search of clues to the subject, but he didn't see any. Maybe the lack of obvious signs was a sign? Maybe they were studying a dark creature that could hide in plain sight, like a shapeshifter?*That could be interesting! A little scary, perhaps, but still interesting.

Dahlia didn't love nor did she completely dislike these lessons. Maybe it was all in her head. Perhaps it had something to do with last term still. Or it was simply that her skills in this area were lacking. Whatever it was, Lia already knew that this wasn't her best class. Somehow she always managed to do something silly. She knew the stuff, she really truly did and yet.. it felt like she didn't. It was okay though, maybe she needed that extra push to study harder, focus more and really give it her all.
Making her way across the grounds, Lia joined the others already gathering in the area around where the Headmaster was sat. The crisp early morning weather didn't faze her and it was with a light smile that she gave her greeting, "Good morning, Headmaster Trent." Standing not to far from everyone else, she clasped her hands lightly behind her back and rocked back and forth on her heels.

"Good morning, Fox. A bit crisp but you're right, it's the perfect weather for defense." And the brain did work better in cooler temperatures. One could only hope that would make a difference for some of the students this morning.

"Nice to have you back, Upstead." It could almost be read as a pointed statement, almost was sharp enough to be but in all that, it never really was. Could've as easily have been little more than an observation or a simple greeting.
Upstead, however, was likely to know better.

Still not looking, his eyes nowhere in the vicinity of Cecelia Summers. That meant an abrupt end to the conversation he'd been having with Asztalos but that's okay because his shoes were just as interesting and then there was the arrival of other students to really keep him focused anyway.
Malachi cleared his throat. "Good morning, Summers." Ahem. Moving far along.

When the First Year went to stand by Summers, it was something of a calculated struggle. All he had to do was make sure that while he kept Gaeltheos in his field of vision, he kept the older Gryffindor out.
"Morning, Gaeltheos." Yep, just the First Year. Eyes right there. And then moving it again, as far away as possible. That others stood near Summers was unfortunate. Made it harder for him to pay attention to them.

"Good morning, James." There wasn't a lesson he didn't feel bad for his outburst on the first day of school. There had never been a recovery and at this point, where this Gryffindor was concerned, it just felt a lot like she and her other half fed off each other where he was concerned. She just snorted, rolled her eyes, and smiled at Remy. "Hey. It's early and I'm tired, but good morning," she told her friend. At least she thought they were friends ;__;
She also sent a wave to Mamie, too.
Malachi had, in fact, already gone through the first year essays.
"Good morning, Gellar. I'd like a word with you after class." He supposed the glance down at the essays might give the girl some idea of what it was about but if not, she would find out soon enough.
It was...at best...a mini disaster that left the man wondering if she'd done any reading, even just the chapter overview. Merlin.

"Good morning, Abbott-Daniau." The Headmaster greeted, his own smile growing. With so much of the term now past and so many still wary of him, it was always refreshing to get the ones who would give him smiles.
He was trying to rebuild his image, but at the end of the day, there really was only so much he could do.

This...he expected. This...he did not think he could change.
Blaze had been decidedly off his team for many years now, the shift happening after she and Grantham chose to take a stroll in a forest full of things that liked to eat children. It was...somehow worse now and while he couldn't understand why, the man was learning not to take everything onto his shoulders.
"Good morning, Blaze." He replied politely, not expecting anything further.

"Hullo, Headmaster! I wore my lucky legwarmers again, so let's not get them snared on a dangerous creature, ok?"
The Headmaster cracked an amused smile, genuinely entertained by one of his original precious beans...until she went to stand next to Summers then the look turned kinda awkward and he had to once again look just enough without getting the other Gryffindor into his peripheral.

There he was. "Morning, Kale." All matter of fact and business like and very much in professor mode. He had played dad mode nearly two weeks ago, then Headmaster mode for the prior 12 days and now he was back to educator. All the code switching he did, it was no wonder the man was made for the threatre--if not a ward at St. Mungo's.
That Kale chose not to stand directly next to Summers was....wise.
Very wise.

"Morning, Mordrake." The Headmaster greeted, pleased by the apparent good mood the boy had shown up to class with. Early morning classes, regardless of the time of year, seemed to be something many of the students struggled with.
Always nice to get the occasional smile.

"Morning, Jenovick." Malachi replied. That the Slytherin wasn't dragging her feet as she got to the meeting spot for the lesson was already something of a small victory.
He had seen too many of them walking in looking like the undead.

"Good morning, Jones." Another good egg in his lesson. Jones had become one of the students he knew he didn't exactly have to worry about when it came time for the practical application of his lessons and that was a small relief given how many of them he was still sure were not likely to make it beyond graduation.

"Good morning, Donovan." Malachi replied, coming to the end of the last essay he'd been checking. Certainly a disaster, certainly would require a talk with the student but for now it seemed that the arrivals were trickling to a stop. [/spoiler]
That looked like the last of them, right, time to get a start on the lesson. The only drawback Malachi ever found to hosting classes outside was the absence of the solid wooden door slamming shut as he got everyone through the transition between arrivals and getting down to business.
Today, despite the chill in the air, he thought they may enjoy the lesson once they got into it. Just some good old fashion fun before the tests he planned for them for the following week.
"Good morning, everyone." The Headmaster shuffled the essays together, getting them back into a neat pile and placing them for now at his feet. "I know you may have just eaten but, you know the drill." With a flick of his wand, the tables that had been disillusioned and otherwise concealed appeared. On them? Bread, obviously. What other food would the Headmaster ever allow in his class? Even this was too much but he had to admit...it did seem to be calming the kids down more often than not. Even he got the warm fuzzies when he had some.
"Being no strangers to threats, I would like you all to take a moment to consider this. What makes an attacker dangerous in your opinion? Is it their ambition, their tenacity, their strength, power, determination? What part concerns you most? I'd also like to know why you consider this the most dangerous."
He assumed it would differ a lot by person and personality, but also expected some amount of inter-lap.
OOC: Thanks for coming, guys!! First question is up and I'll be looking to move us on again in another 24 - 28 hrs ^^

Lia stood quietly as the lesson began, her eyes flickering towards the table that now came into view and held.. bread. Of course. She knew there was going to be bread. There always was. That glorious amazing warm bread that was so yummy. Did she want some? Yes. No. Maybe? She couldn't decide. In the end she knew she was going to go over and get some whether or not she really wanted it.
Maybe if she focused hard enough on the first question of the lesson she wouldn't have time to think about anything else. It was worth a shot. Uhhh, could she answer that with a simple 'All of that?' or 'Everything about an attacker makes them dangerous?' An attacker was simply that, an attacker. That likely wasn't the type of answer the Headmaster wanted though. Dahlia slowly raised her hand. "The unknown. How they are going to react or what they are going to do." To her, that was scary.

"... Don't call me that." Ash mumbled quietly at the headmaster. Why had the headmaster used the same words as Rosier??? She didn't care what tone he said it in. If anyone called her Fox, it meant they hated her. Speaking of...
Ash was beginning to worry that she didn't have friends. Upstead had at least TWO or THREE people who liked them (good for them), and she had zero. Oh! Mamie was here... And there were several seconds of awkward eye contact as she realized that Mamie was looking at her longingly. She looked away, reminding herself that none of it was real and Mamie wouldn't care if she got killed. She'd pretty much said so. Now they weren't friends. And Ash was pretending to not care. Because caring was stupid anyway.
Oh look, a friend! Okay, well, it was Violet. Ash liked Violet, but she always wondered if Violet hung out with her out of pity. But Ash was in a good mood because of the cold weather, and she'd give the girl the benefit of the doubt. "Morning Violet." She gave the girl a nod and a smile.
Oh, and her partner in crime(s) had shown up!!! Her mood was improved a LOT, because Kayne's personality was definitely rubbing off. "Hi Vice President! I'm good. I don't get cold because that would look... it would look... um... undignified for a queen to be shivering in the cold." Yes. Undignified was the word she was looking for. She wasn't used to using fancy words. "My hair is pink again!" She flipped her hair dramatically, in case he hadn't noticed. She grinned. The two of them were the absolute coolest partners in crime ever.
Ooh! She liked this question! Even though she though the headmaster was mean for calling her Fox."The scariest thing for me about enemies is their determination and willingness to sacrifice. Even dangerous enemies can be defeated if they don't care about what you're fighting for. But if an attacker is willing to die or lose everything for what they're doing, they'll fight a lot harder." Ash would know. All of that intelligence, strength, persistence? It came from determination. Ash was afraid of determination. Because she was very determined herself.
Ash thought it was a cool question. And she thought she gave a good answer. Today was gonna be a good day, even if it had some not-so-good moments.
How fortunate for the Headsman that he was their favourite professor; they were content to respond to his greeting. The smile Nem met his words with was delightful and charming and, with his intel, clearly a charade, as he liked to call it. "I'm sure it is," they said, sarcasm just barely detectable.
Their expression cleared then, as other students arrived, and Nem continued to twirl their wand around their fingers, only half-listening to the conversations blooming around them. They looked around when their name was called, and their eyes fell on Yoon the Younger. Again, they smiled, a touch amused by exactly who was bearing witness to this, and nodded encouragingly. "You're welcome, Daniel. Good job. If you want, maybe you can show me later. I'd love to see it." So kind, so helpful.
In the next moment, Limpet had arrived, followed by Turov. Nem smiled to the latter, and nudged the former's shoulder gently in greeting, a non-verbal cue to keep her chin up. Nemesis Upstead was here to protect against the Big Bad Headsman. Might be that Limpet had questions, but they'd get to those later.
Speaking of the Headsman, they turned to look at him again, still vaguely smiling, eyes glinting, knowing full well that he was making something of all this. Was there anything to be made of it? Possibly. Possibly not. Nem certainly wasn't letting on, but it was fun to let him come to his own potentially apocalyptic conclusions. More so if he did some probing and found only that Nem had been acting out of the greater goodness of their heart.
Or something. Anyway. Lesson time. Still Nem span their wand around their fingers with a kind of speed and deftness that didn't seem like it should be possible, ignoring the bread and now keeping eyes locked on the Headsman.
True to recent form, they didn't answer. With their perception of danger, and a distinct lack of concern about that or anything else, this one wasn't for them and they had no interest in making anything up. When Fox gave her answer, however, Nem gave the slightest cough, but that was all. They still hadn't looked away from Trent; it had been a sign specifically for him, an answer of sorts.
It was just interesting to think about. The Big Man, he'd cared about what he was fighting for, as had plenty before him, and now he was the Greater Corpse. Caring clouded judgement. Meanwhile, those who didn't care were much more likely to turn with the tide, wriggle out of trouble, and slip through the cracks until a later date. One might consider those people more dangerous, especially if they also fit every single one of the descriptors the Headsman had just reeled off. They fought smarter, not harder.
Fortunately there was nobody here like that.

♡ A heart full of Love l ☾ A night bright as Day l
Faye could sense that the Headmaster seemed a little tense this morning, likely due to the handful of essays he was reviewing, which did make her a tad concerned that hers might be one of the essays that was causing him such distress, but did not show any sign of concern on her face. Though when the Headmaster did look up at her and smile, her worries seemed to have all but subsided luckily as he even responded to her comment about the play. This response instantly caused the sixth year to smile as she felt her nerves level out, especially hearing that he already had a vision in mind.
'WHEN WOULD REHEARSALS BEGIN?'
The eagerness inside of her very abundantly clear, but her usual zen aura externally exuded itself so you would never be able to tell, unless you really knew her. What would take her out of that mentality would be when her favourite Gryffindor cutie Cece came over to stand by her as they waited for the lesson to begin. Faye smiling immediately as she linked arms with Cece standing close beside her sweet friend, "Hi Cece.." She was one of her absolute favourites, alright? As she squeezed Cece's arm gently, she took notice of a little first year Gryffindor cutie (Remy) that stood beside her as well, which Faye wasted no giving her a kind smile and wave. Then just as that had happened she felt a nudge and turned her attention to see her friend Gracelyn had joined their little group forming now. She smiled brightly as Gracelyn giving her a wave.
Before she knew it the lesson had begun and her full attention was back on the Headmaster as she addressed everyone. She listened intently as he asked his first question and the redhead paused for a moment as she considered these things. What does make an attacker dangerous? The redhead centered herself as she tried not to think of anything too emotional due events, focusing rather hard. She remained this way for a moment or two before she slowly raised her hand to answer, "I would have to say, that the scariest things in my opinion would be their Ambition and Determination, Headmaster. Especially when you're dealing with someone of an opinion that their reason to attack you is valid and they've already made it up in their mind that that will be what their set out to do, there's no stopping them really." She paused as she thought about it a little more before continuing, "It almost feels like it falls under their ego more than anything. And that can be very alarming. A very sociopathic nature if you will. They'll stop at nothing to succeed and that's the scariest part.."
