Attached to the door is a plaque that looks something like:



Once you've knocked and been allowed access to her office, [in other words, she's said 'come in' or something.] feel free to head on in and take up your conversation with the Department Head, Tatelyn Beauchamp.

You'll notice immediately that the woman is a colourholic, as the walls in the office [as with everything else] are a layer of colours, then more, then more. One wall is a salmoney colour, with [what looks to be] splats of hot pink paint layering it. Upon this wall, are photo's that are personal to the woman who is sitting behind her desk. One of them, is of her and her 'mother' Odette, and it is on a canvas. A magical canvas, of course, with the picture moving. The others, are obviously various members of family, and friends, and a couple of the geese family that inhabit her home garden.

Propped up against a black and white wall is a bookcase with shelves organised accordingly. What books are in there, she doesn't really know, she's had them for so long. Then, in the middle of all the colour chaos, sits a plain black desk covered in all things you'd expect to be on a desk. Normal things. Like plants, and pots of pens, sticky note pads, files, and a chair. Of course, the chair isn't normal, is it? It's a nice, comfortable seat, in the shape of a cupped hand.

Sitting in it, is the woman you obviously came to see.

Magical Education, Department Head.

Welcome, to her world.

Feeling in good spirits, Ryan was muching on his large packet of potato chips when he heard, or read he could not remember, that there was a new boss in this department. How nice! And when he decided to pay a visit to the new boss after an hour or so he was still consuming the contents of the packet of potato chips. Oh what a way to feed himself in a healthy way! Well...like he cared about few things, he did not care about his health anyway nevertheless as he moved towards the corridor he left the packet on his table.

Then in the next moment he found himself staring at the door for the department head. Why was he staring? Mmm he had no idea. Heheweheheh. Whatever. Smiling to himself he slightly shoke his head and knocked on the door. Anyone there?

Forms. FORMS?! Why was she still filling out forms for post? Well, for one: She most certainly wasn't Tatelyn Kennedy anymore, and two: SHE WASN'T TATELYN KENNEDY ANYMORE! These places all knew that, yet they felt they should address her as it? What was WRONG with them? She was divorced and old, not married and 'young', silly people.

In a quick leap from her seat to the floor, she grabbed for the kitten that had leaped from her table, with the form and rolled her eyes. Ruddy thing. Why had her stepmother given 'the office' this kitten as a present? It was silly. It just peed on all the work she needed to do, and that wasn't much help.

It had taken her ten minutes to wrestle with the kitten, for that form, and she was still wrestling with it when someone knocked on her door. "C-c-Come in!"

There. You little bugger. In the momentary distraction of her voice, the kitten had loosened the form, and Tate was back in her seat in no time.

Thank. Merlin.

Didn't want to be found on the floor wrestling with a kitten before your first visitor, ey Tate?

The man, Ryan Chambers, smiled widely as a woman's voice answered him. And since he did not want to look like the very first day he had met his boss when he used to work as an Auror, he checked himself some, mostly his clothes before opening the door to enter.

And once he opened the door a colourful world was displayed to his light blue gaze. This woman was a cheerful spirit so the man had an impression that he was going to like that woman.

Ehem.... Ryan cleared his throat before starting to speak ''Well...hi. I am Ryan Chambers one of your divison heads'' did she like potato chips too? To understand it the man looked right into her eyes. Well...it was a high possiblity she did. Haha. Of course there was no way to understand it unless she stated it herself. ''I lead the Inspection Committee''

Oh. Crap. Hair. Ew.

Tate eyed her reflection in the glass of an empty photo frame, and frowned completely. Stupid cat. Her hair looked manageably messy. Manageably, being the uncooperative word, because it obviously wasn't manageable, because someone was outside, and they wanted to come in, and visit. That was kind.

Kind, if you didn't have a murderous kitten that wanted you to look like you'd been pulled through a bush a couple of hundred times.

"There's no leaves or branches, Tate." She told herself, as the door opened, and smiled widely as one of her employee's [she took it as] entered.

Standing up as he entered, she smiled a little bit wider and pushed her chair out leaving her desk for a moment. "Beanbag or normal chair? I have both." Right there, up against the pink splatted wall. "There's only a black chair, i'm afraid, but take a small pouch from the box in whatever colour you'd prefer, and then put it on the floor, it'll largen itself." Oh, the wonders of being a witch.

If he wanted a beanbag, she'd join him, she liked them -- more than she liked her own chair. But you couldn't really sit behind your desk on a beanbag, could you?

"Ah, Ryan. Tatelyn Beauchamp, Department Head. But you," Along with everyone else, "can call me Tate."

In the distance, an animal noise is heard and then a few papers blow easily off a nearby desk. An owl has arrived, and in one of its talons is the following message:

Dacs went to the Education Department as instructed. She decided she would just go and when Ben arrives she would fill him in but right now she had a job to do. She got to the department head's office and knocked on the door.

Looking down, she made sure not one thing was out of place. Not her black buttoned up shirt and black pants. Nothing, neat as a pin. She stood there waiting for Tatelyn Beauchamp to approve entrance.

Looking up from her seat, as the door was knocked again, Tate [instead of calling for them to come in] decided to go open the door herself. After raising herself from her seat, and placing the lid back on her water bottle, the brunette Department Head left her desk area and went to open the door.

Oh. Well.. who was this?. "Hellooo... Can I help you?" Maybe it was a lost employee of another level, because it wasn't one of hers, was it?

She was a bad Head if it was. Whoops.

Dacs looked upwhen the door was answered by a brunette."Yes you can. Im Antoni Dacosta from Magical Law Enforcement. May I come in? There are matters of security i would like to discuss with you as it pertains to the internal investigation of the ministry and it's employees." she said in a professional and polite tone.

Ah. Um..

A complete flush of confusion swept past the woman, and her eyebrows twitched almost like they were going to rise and she would just stare at the other woman, yet they remained in their rightful place, and she just ran a hand through her hair. "Um.. 'Kay. Come in, I -- wait.. May I ask who sent you here, exactly?" Because... people didn't just come knock on her door everyday, saying they wanted to discuss security.

Nuh uuuh!

Dacs took note of her reaction. "I was sent by my own Department Head Evander Bole of Magical Law Enforcement. I've been asked to do a security sweep of your office. Just to make sure things are fine here. We're just lending a hand to make sure your office is secure."she replied with a reassuring tone.

Oh. Right. OHHHH! He was the other man who had been introduced to them as a new Department Head at that meeting! She only reeeeally remembered because he was the one that hadn't aaaactually creeped her head out. Changes were creeepayyyy!

Nodding her head, Tate took a step to the side and leant against the door while beckoning the woman in with her right hand. "Right. Okay. Sorry. Come in.... Take a seat... I have beanbags or normal chairs?" Was this really necessary now? Ehhhh.

Dacs nodded and walked by the woman, entering the office.

"I prefer normal chairs thank you."she said politely."My Department head has asked me to do a security sweep in your department. Checking for bugs, detectors, spy apparatus, such items. Just make sure that all operations in your department are not being intercepted by outside entities. It's just MLE lending a hand." Dacs continued to inform the lady.

She really hoped she didn't find any bugs in this office or the main work area.

Tate took a quick look outside the office, and down in each direction before turning back into her office and closing the door behind her.

"Right, okay. Well... take a seat ... please?" The brunette nodded a little, as she made her way to her side of her desk, and hovered beside her own seat. She had enough manners not to sit, before her guest. And then she just eyed her cautiously. "Right. Umm. Okay. You need my permission, yeah? Umm. Sure. Tell Mr. Bole, also, a personal thanks from me, please? It's nice to know there's still some decent people out there." Not that she was saying this lovely lady wasn't decent. She wasn't ervil.

Dacs nodded and said,"Will do ma'am."she glanced around the office briefly and continued, saying,"I will do a sweep in the main area with my partner and then if you like, I can do a sweep in here. We will also be putting in intruder detectors. Just to secure the office and the work area. Any intrusion you as well as MLE will know about it."

She took her job seriously especially in a case like this. She really hoped she wouldn't find any bugs in here.

"Also, no one outside this department as well as MLE should not know about this. Otherwise it would defeat the purpose. If you do inform your employees then please do so in confidence." Dacs said carefully.

Tate nodded once, as she took a seat finally and watched the woman carefully. "Y.. Your partner? Are they supposed to be here? I'd rather see this person first, before they go and do anything in my Department. You know.. So I know faces, and things." That was normal, wasn't it? Or was it just that she was more paranoid about things, since the divorce?

"It's fine by me, by all means go ahead with it. S'nice to know people are keeping eyes out on us." In a nice way, it really was. She'd make a note to send a memo up to Evander Bole later on or something, thank him. Maybe send him a cupcake or something. She was sure she had one in her kitchen at home.

Ah, the keeping it quiet. "I sure can do that, Miss Dacosta. In confidence, yuup. Can do that."

"Yes my partner, Benjamin. He'll be joining me for the sweep. I'll have to report back to my office for somethings and be back here in half an hour to conduct the sweep.You will meet him before. There may be a possibility of me doing it alone. Everyone in the department is doing sweeps."she said smoothly and reassuringly. Dacs looked at the lady, for that is what she was being so gracious to allow a sweep, carefully.

She wanted to get the job done thoroughly, quickly and discreetly.

Oh. Tate nodded, and scrawled down the name 'Benjamin' juuuust for reference, actually. "Right, okay. That sounds fine by me. Do you need me to.. you know... stay with you while you do it, or whatever?" Was there rules and regulations to this kind of stuff, actually?

The woman looked carefully over at the other, and nodded as she raised from her seat. "Will that be all?"

Dacs gave the lady a warm, reassuring smile and said, "No, that won't be necessary. We are the best at what we do.", she couldn't help but chuckle,"My partner Ben will soon be here as you requested."she said.

She took one step back and said,"Thank you for your time. That will be all."

Benjamin approached the door and knocked on it. Before entering, he fixed his silver suit, black tie, and fedora. He always makes sure that he looks professional before meeting anyone. The man slowly opened the door.

"Excuse me, Ms. Beauchamp." He slowly entered office as he offered a charming smile. "It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Detective Benjamin Amsten; Former Division Head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts and Improper Use of Magic, just across the hall. And Former Head Auror of the American Ministry." The New Yorker showed the woman his badge before continuing, "I will be working with Antoni Dacosta in making sure that your department's privacy and safety is safe and protected." He stopped a moment. "I'm sure my partner has explained what we are doing. But, do you have any further questions?" Benjamin Amsten was thorough.

Tatelyn nodded again, and gave the woman a smile once more. "Yes, I suppose you are." She felt.. safe actually, not having to be there. Just in case they did find something. Then she'd have spazzed out a little, and flailed a bit. "Right okay. I look forward to meeting him." She nodded.

"No, thank you." She nodded, and watched as the woman left her office, and evidently went off to do what she was going to do.

She'd been settled in her seat for about five minutes, and had actually started to wrestle with the kitten in her office, as the door was knocked. "Come in!" She called lightly, and watched as the door opened to reveal a male all suited up.

Ah, Benjamin. Tate rose from her seat, and nodded , before leaving her desk to stand nearer to him. "I was told you would come to see me. Pleasure to meet you also, Benjamin. Do you mind if I call you Ben? And please, it's Tate." Formalities were.. awkward for her, they really were.

"Ah yes, she went through it all with me. No questions. Oooh, just one. Would you guys like a cup of tea or a biscuit? I don't want to think of you doing all this and going thirsty or hungry." Mother hen, much?

He tried to get a sense of the woman walking towards him before she started talking. Confidence, relaxed, knowledgable... The makings of a great DH. "Yes, Ben is fine, Ms. Beauchamp- Erm... Tate." He smiled as to try to make her... and mostly himself, feel more comfortable.

"No, thank you. That won't be necessary." Why do the clients always insist on feeding me? The New Yorker fixed his tie before continuing.

"Well, before I continue with the rest of the office... I'm just going to make sure that your office is secure, and I'll put up some protections of my own. Before I begin, do you have any charms put up in here, right now?" He didn't want to disturb any private files.

Ah, right. Ben it was. She chuckled softly, as he stumbled into the name she'd told him he could call her, and smiled. "Ben it is. Lovely. I knew a Ben when I was little. He used to make mud pies in my garden, then pie my face." She mused, with another chuckle before her face fell back into a serious one.

"Right, okay. If you do, let me know?" She wouldn't mind popping to the breakroom or anything. Really, she wouldn't/

"Sounds fine to me." Tate nodded, and then glanced around her office. "Only on the drawers of my desk, you physically cannot open it without the key. There's an adjusted sticking charm on them, it's permanent, unless you have the key." Which was in a safe place, that she wasn't going to be disclosing to anyone. "Aaaand... There's a verbal password for the filing cabinet." She'd made sure of that one. What she knew about her employee's, was severely private.

Ben looked interestingly at Tate as she recalled a childhood story. Uh...huh... "Well, ma'am. I assure you, I will not assault you with a mud pie..." He let out a small laugh before turning around the room.

He flicked his wrist and his wand launched into his hand. "Alright, well, What I'm about to do is going to reveal those spells. And then I'm going to cancel them out; you will have to reset them. Afterwards, I will set my own protective spells and charms." Alright... Here we go.

SpeRevelio... Ben waved his hand above his head around the room. As expected, the drawers and the filing cabinet started to glow. Also, the password to the filing cabinet was revealed. "Um... you're going to want to change that..." The man looked over to Tate as he now knew the password to the filing cabinet.

Besides those things, nothing else was apparently in the room.

Finite Incantatem. Ben waved his wand again. All the spells that were currently active in the room, had been dis-activated; which included the filing cabinet and the drawer.

He waited a moment before putting up his own protections.

Tate chuckled softly, and nodded. "Ah, that's good. I don't think my office would enjoy being mudded. Even though I can clean it with my wand." Mud was still a bugger to get rid of, haha.

Listening carefully to the man, Tatelyn's head nodded along as she took it in, and protectively touched her wand as it sat in her wrist holster. "Sounds fine to me, Ben. Go ahead..." She gave permission, but knew he'd already gone ahead as his wand was waved above his head and her drawers and filing cabinet began to glow. Oh, oh OH. See, she'd always liked this spell. Glowing was pretty.

Ah, password changing. "Will do, I have backups." What woman didn't?

She decided to be quiet now, and just waited for Ben to finish up. Best not disturb a man at work? No. Best not.
