Near the lifts on Level Two there is an area of the corridor dedicated to artwork of all kinds. There are Wizarding Portraits donning the walls as well as watercolors done by employees and fingerpaints done by children. Stop, admire, and chat for a while.

Laura walked through the corridor, past a rather colorful wall. She halted and swiveled around to face it. Now she could see the wall was covered in paintings and portraits. She smiled as she walked closer to admire them.

Stare.

Stare stare.
Stariiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing.

Allright, enough of staring for this hour. They had some business to attend to. Hehe.

Leo paced the hallway which walls were full of artisticness, adjusting the many paintings and brushes that were on the table, from time to time. There were also a wide color variety of frocks/aprons for everyone, if they wished to be extra safe to not get paint on their clotes. He hoped everyone would enjoy this next little 'meeting'. After having brainstorrrmed for the last hours, this little break and creativity ambush would be pleasant.
Patting down the bubbly, badly paper semi covered floor (he was never good with NOT getting paint on floors), he decided it was fit and ready to begin.

Now then. Time...to wait for everyone and have some awesomeness served to them!

Ronan had read the memo that he was to meet their Department Head for another painting session after the meeting they had just had in the Conference room.

He smiled, excited to let his creative juices flow and paint pretty pictures alongside his co-workers. Maybe he could make something for Pandora, Roisin, and Tristan!

"Hello Mister Buena." Ronan said as he approached his boss. The young man watched as he paced, thinking that Leo was just as excited as he was to do something with paints.

"This all looks interesting."

Colman was arriving at the Ministry for his first day of work and it seemed like he had just missed a really important meeting. Oops.

Looking to the Department Head's memo, he had cautiously walked down the hallway not knowing exactly where he should be going but saw two men there already that looked somewhat important.

"Hi there, my name is Colman Dunne." the young man said as he approached the two. "I'm new." Way to state the obvious genius. Colman smiled goofily to hide his embarrassment.

Oliver walked towards the portraits after receiving the memo. A few people had already gathered there. "Well that was a nice stretch wasn't it" said Oliver to his fellow employees. He stood and waited for the rest of them to show up.

Gayle walked nervously up to the group beginning to gather. She was slightly nervous because she was running late and had already missed the first half of the meeting.

Very pleased that you are here," he walked over to the man and stretched out his hand to shaky-shake. "Hope you are ready to get paint all over you." Hehehe.

"Oooh painting again are we? Fantastic!" The young man now beamed at the prospectives of being all creative and what not.

Looking over to the new employees, Ronan gave a bright smile to them both. "Hello Mister Dunne, Miss Night. It's a pleasure to meet you both. I'm Ronan Cavanaugh and I believe, Miss Night that you are in my division of Examinations Authority! Welcome, welcome."

Colman took the man's hand firmly and shook it with a kind smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you." he said, figuring this was the guy in charge.

Ah nuts. Late for work and missed a meeting. Siiiiigh, he would have to yell at A.R. for making him stay longer to help with the broken tub. Honestly wasn't she a witch and knew how to use magic?

"Paint all over ourselves sir?" Colman asked a bit of confusion. Was that really what they did at work? Guess it's better than sitting at a desk all day bored to tears.

"What exactly will we be painting, and for what purpose?" asked Oliver

"Hello sir, I am Gayle Night, I am sorry that I was... um, am late today". She said reaching out to shake his hand. "I've never been in a real professional brain storming session, too bad I missed it" she said with a shy smile. " I can"t wait to get started."

"Oh yes, sir. I am looking forward to getting back to work. I've had so many perso..... wait, what? Did I hear you say something about painting!" She said her shy smile growing wider.

And then, "We shall be painting!" Okay, they had already established that though. "As you can see, I have already outlined a tree trunk and the branches with a pencil. You, my friends, will be painting something that reminds you of your childhood - a dream you had OR have for when you...''grew up''. He looked around at everyone again to see their reactions.

"Shall we begin?" Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! "Just pick a spot above the treeline," he turned to the opposite wall, took his wand in his hand and flicked it - conjuring a couple of ladders for everyone to use if they wanted. "Feel free to use these." Nod nod.

"You have your paints there with palettes, the protective robes and brushes...so...go ahead and grab some of that and start creating your masterpiece!"

OOC: This will last about 2-3 weeks, so hopefully everyone will have time to participate!

Gayle reached in to her pink bag and pulled out a note pad and pen. She sat on the floor “ Hmmm. What did I want to be when I grew up?” she said aloud. “ I don’t know”, she mumbled to herself, “How am I supposed to know that when I’m still not grown up”. She slowly pulled her legs up to her chest and rested her chin on her knees.
After a few moment she picked up her note pad that she had placed on the floor and began doodling. Just little items a puppy, a house, clouds, dolls, and books. She sat back and looked at her drawing. Suddenly she smiled. “That’s it!” She stood up and looked at the tree for a perfect place to put her idea.

Ronan smiled to the young woman [nytingale] to see her desire to start working. And painting. Oh how that seemed to be a great element to the Department of Education because it seems to bring out the creativity in all of the employees and that was really special.

Looking over to Leo, Ronan nodded along when he explained that he wanted them to think of something of their childhood. Irises and pussywillows. Those had been his mother's favorite flowers and as a child, Ronan would bring them to her bedside when she was ill.

Ronan's childhood was shortlived so that seemed like the best thing to draw at the moment. Moving his way over to the supplies, he prepared himself to start painting before moving to the wall and beginning to paint.

Lyra walked into the hallway. First thing, she was NOT getting paint on her clothes or shoes. There should have been some sort of note stating as plainly as ever that they were to wear nasty PAINT clothing. even though the girl was told, she's just blonde and doesn't remember She walked over and grabbed something to protect her clothing the placed her shoes off to the side. Next, she used her wand, twisted her hair up and onto the top of her head to keep it out of the paint.

And of all things, they had to think of something from their childhood? She didn't have a good childhood and it was really nothing she wanted to remember except...Fex, the goat and his glorious shampoo of magical love.

Luan was all very set to start painting as she loved to do so. As she heard the word childhood, her excitement grew even more as she loved children as well as her childhood was great she always remembers the time she spent with her friends playing in the garden with mud and toys, she wanted to go back in that time and here was a chance to get in it, so with a lovely smile on her face she decided to began with something going in her mind at that time.

Rubbing his hands together, Leo watch with excitement as everyone started to THINK and letting their brains go all working mode. It was fantastic to see his team getting all creative and such.

Hearing someone thinking aloud, he turned to see Gayle sitting on the floor. Hehehe. Sitting on the floor. Why didn't he think of that?
She had some valid questions - which he was going to answer, even though he was pretty sure she was just talking to herself. Hehe. He approached her, seeing her eagerness to begin painting on the wall. "You know, you can also paint something you still dream to be. I mean... just because you're 30-something doesn't mean you've stopped dreaming and have grown up...like me. " He grinned. "But please, continue your fantastic creative plan."

Ah, someone was using the accessories! Exellent. That meant they were going to do some serious painting business, right? ...maybe he should have put some more paper on the floor. He would cringe if Miss Minister walked down here to see her carpets all...colorful. Heh.

He couldn't help smiling amused as she watched Lyra getting barefoot. Maybe it was her way of working? Yeah, Leo had been known to paint barefoot aswell. Though it was always annoying to get the paint off his toes.

"I'm glad to see everyone getting into it so quickly. Let's me know we have some very creative minds here." He nodded and smiled at everyone. "Feel free to discuss with eachother, you might even get some inspiration from your colleages." Nod nod. "I'm here to help if you need anything."

With some more nods, he let them all focus on their masterpieces. He walked over to the table and picket up a palett, smeared some different colors of brown and a brush. He walked back to the wall and kneeled down infront of it and began to fill out the tree trunk.

Ronan stopped his working to look at Leo de la Buena. He smiled politely and actually felt his face flush because it was uncommon it seemed unexpected for him to be this occupation now.

"Flowers. To be specific, irises and pussywillows." the young man explained as he indicated the start of the purple color on the wall before him. "You see, when I was a little boy and my mom was...unwell...I used to go out into the garden and get a bouquet of irises and pussywillows to put at her bedside table."

He smiled sadly at the memories. Every day tending to the garden so that he could find the best flowers. And it wasn't even like Herbology was his favorite subject, he just liked the flowers.

"If I was ever to have a different occupation, I know it's Muggle, but I'd want to be a gardener." Ronan explained to his boss. "I've always loved it and I don't see that ever changing."

Lyra looked towards the man that was painting flowers. That was strange, a man painting flowers. Stare. So he was painting flowers and she was going to paint a goat? Okay. She began, outlining the body of a goat in a light colour, something that could be easily erased if she messed up. First his head, then his back, little tail, back legs, gut, front legs and neck. Poor thing was just ugly but that was Fex. Her uncle would be proud to know that his goat was on the walls of the Ministry. Tee hee!

She then began making the grass around the feet of the, something that the goat could be nibbling on and that was just it, he was going to be gnawing on grass with a bit of it hanging from his mouth. She moved back up to his mouth, filling in with a few blades of grass and then....WALLA! Now it was time to paint the goat and his coat of many colours. This was certainly a memory she would never forget with Agie and Josh as her helpers. Fun days.

And then...the young man started explaining the story behind the painting and Leo's heart broke like...like, broke! By the end of the tale, he had put a hand to his heart and another one on Ronan's shoulder. For a moment he didn't say anything, just simply STARED at the man with a sad face. Then, "You have a wonderful soul. And I'm happy that even though there was great sadness in your life, you are able to turn that into an inspiration and a wonderful memory to keep with you always. Your mother must have been a beautiful person." Nod nod. Gah. Tragic. But Ronan was a strong individual.

Ohhhh, "A gardener?" Retrieving his hand, he instead crossed it over his chest with the other hand scratching at this chin. Hmmmmm. "That is interesting. I'm sure you'd be a great gardener! Why don't you try that out?" Like...sitting inside in an office seemed quite the opposite from what Ronan wanted to do.

Squinting, he craned his neck a little, even though it would probably not help much, but he could sort of see something. Hm, seems to be an animal? It had legs and tail. So, yes? It was hard to see from where he stood, Lyra had chosen a pretty light color...

Ah! There was grass!

Okay, call it impatience or mad curiosity, but he had to go ask what it was.
"Miss Noir?" He approached the woman cautiously, as if not wanting to ruin her mojo. "Sorry to interrupt, but I'm so curious to know what wonderful thing it is you have painted here... It is an animal, yes?" Grass...legs and TAIL. Oh Merlin, he hoped he had guessed right.

Lyra stopped painting as soon as she heard her boss and his curious questioning of her goat. Awww! Maybe she was a better painter than she believed herself to be. He could actually tell what she was painting. She smiled brightly, showing that bossman was correct in his guessing as to what she was painting.

"It isss," she bobbed her head from side to side, not embarrassed, just happy that someone could tell what her drawing was. "I'll give you three guesses as to what it is?" Maybe she was pushing it? She wanted to see if he knew exactly what animal it was, but maybe she was pushing it a little? "Okay, well maybe I'm pushing it a little, but I thought the grass might be a little help." She stared at her boss for a moment to see if he was going to say anything else....or before he said anything else....

"It's a goat. Fex." Like he would know what she was talking about. hahaha!

Uh oh. Three guesses? Leo grinned akwardly, not really knowing wether or not to actually take a chance and guess. "Umm...." Is it a.... Grass, yes, he totally saw the grass. It was actually pretty good grass. "I like the grass. It looks very realistic. Have you painted grass before?"

Buying time, much? But, he really did think it looked awesome. AWesome grass.
And then Lyra said what type of animal it was, making Leo laugh merrily. "A goat! Yeees, yeees I can very much see it IS a goat." He nodded. "That is a verrry lovely goat you painted. Fex? Is that his name?" Haha. Sweet. "Tell me, if you don't mind, why did you choose to paint Fex the Goat?" That goat would be so proud to know it had been painted on the walls of the Ministry. Hehehe.

Lyra finished putting the final touches on Fex, making his coat the colours of the rainbow from the last time she attended school with so many that she knew, including Christian. That was the year that started everything, the moment that she knew exactly what she wanted and got what she wanted that summer.

Once again, her boss made her feel talented, as though she were the next Michelangelo or Leonardo de Vinchi. "You are too kind, sir," she spoke as she moved back to painting her goat, this time adding the famous goat shampoo that started everything. "This here is goat shampoo that...well...it creates a certain scent, one that attracts a male or female." And then she remembered washing Christian's hair in the lake. "Smoooth as silk!"

Gayle took a step back from the wall and looked at her work. She smiled at the painting of her older brothers, and the tiny girl in their homemade ballet costumes. The landscape backdrop meticulously painted by the 4 year old girl.
