Adam had not had to deal with spirits so his knowledge one the subject was was quite limited. Adam however always liked to learn about other creatures aside from what he typically worked with on regular basis was interesting to him. Adam wasn't the type to interrupt so he continued to listen in the off chance his question got answered during her speech.

When it appeared his question was not likely to get answered in the general discussion he raised his hand and waited for her to finish speaking before he asked. " Is there any way to remove a ghost or poltergist from a place?" He asked curiously.

Rin looked over to Drago slightly when she caught wind of his language again. You.....tell.....me? Tell me what? Smile, soft tone, by the look in his eyes......He wants to talk? He has something to tell me? It doesn't seem urgent so probably later? That must be what he means. Rin gave a soft nod to indicate that she had heard him. <Yes Ai-Shi.> She couldn't respond too much more complexly yet, she didn't know enough words.



Rinatta watched Violet out of the corner of her eye as she put the puffskeins back. They were so fluffy....

Oh and another hand. How polite, I feel like a teacher again. My my, it appears more people are interested in spirits than we may have expected. This is fantastic! Rin was surprised that she had garnered so many questions already and was immeasurably pleased by it. She smiled brightly at the man who asked the question and nodded. "Another fantastic question." They were making her so happy right now. "Actually there are a few, though spectral removal tends to be an arduous chore. The method required depends upon the spirit itself, what variety and disposition." Oh so much to explain, so she decided to list some of the basics and would elaborate more if there was more interest. "Often when it is simply Ghosts inhabiting residences ,few witches or wizards care to remove the spectral occupant and often co-exist with them , even some muggles do. If the new 'living' occupants wish their removal however, often the best method is to simply speak with the Ghost itself. Or at times one from our division is asked to be a mediator for the discussion and assist in convincing the Ghost to leave. It is rare that more than that must be done with a Ghost, though they tend to be the most co-operative and understanding of all Spirits." Rin had a certain soft spot for Ghosts herself. "Poltergeists tend to be an entirely different and more difficult matter. Sometimes they can be reasoned with as well and ,as with most Spirits, this method should be tried first. A method I have found that often works well is to convince the Poltergeist that where they are haunting is not where they wish to be. That either there is someplace better or that the place they are in is unsuitable or no fun." She remembered most recently moving the Poltergeist from the main floors of the ministry and showing her that the cloak closet with the other Poltergeist was much more fun.

Warren didn't like being talked down to, especially when he was trying to be helpful, but he'd let it pass this time. With his hat tipped over his eyes, he found now to be a good time to take a ten minute micro-sleep. Doing a little dream walking, he could attend to some personal business.

"zZz"

He had spent too much time seeking his own amusement... and that little bit of the mischievous Armand slipped out as he flicked his wrist ever so slightly, keeping his hands in his lap, and with a non-verbal spell tugged on one of the legs of Warren's chair to topple it. As soon as it was cast, another flick of the wrist hid his wand again. The entire thing took a few seconds and he kept his attention on Rin the entire time he did it, his face tactfully schooled. It was only afterward that he mentally chided himself for being so childish... Particularly as Warren could have been astrally projecting himself for all he knew and easily catch himself... and him. Some part of that bothered the responsible side of Drago, however Armand was pleasantly amused and didn't give a care if he was caught. He could almost feel Slade's stern gaze on him that always told him when he was being irresponsible. Oh well... that only served to amuse him further.

With a loud bang, the long legged man came crashing to the floor. Beyond the clatter of his body striking the floor, there was little fanfare. "ZzzZzz" Warren was still sleeping, now without his hat atop his head. Sprawled out on the ground, the wizard was unaware that his pet rabbit, and several mysterious baubles came tumbling from inside his overturned hat.

His mind somewhere else, he would not be pleased when he came to.

Adam was listening as Rin explained occassionally nodded as a sign her understood. It made since at least to him kind of. “So it's just a matter really if convincing the spirit to lea-" Adam jumped slightly as a loud thud interrupted he looked the direction of the disturbance. He shook his head slightly amused and annoyed at the same time when he saw the guy on the floor.

Now that she was finished speaking, Rin absentmindedly looked around for the source of the snoring. She didn't take too kindly to hearing 'ZzZzZ' throughout her explanation. Then the man who had asked the previous question, who had acknowledged her the entire time so politely, began to speak again. Only about halfway through his sentence however there was a sonorous crash and she turned to see Mr. Magician sprawled upon the floor. Still the 'ZzZ' persisted, so it was him. She saw a rabbit hop out of his hat and a few baubles tumble after the hat hit the ground. Serves him right for sleeping during a meeting. After it struck her as being too bizarre for her to want to think about she took a swift look around the room. Most of the people had kept their gaze to Rin while she was speaking , everyone by the fallen man had and there was no indication that anything had caused him to fall, save himself. Rin kept a calm face but looked at Drago from the corner of her eye as she turned so that no one could notice. Did you do that Ai-Shi? She had the feeling that he didn't like the man much and thought that he was most likely the culprit, though of course she would not incriminate him. She would be asking him later though....Leaving Mr. Magician on the floor where he lay, she turned back to the man that had begun to speak. "The most common and easiest method is to convince the spirit to leave. Though there are more complex or forceful methods they tend to be much more complicated than necessary for most hauntings." She pieced together what he had to say ,or as much of it as she understood before the clatter. "More questions?" She asked pleasantly ,looking to him first then around the room once more.

Warren appeared so peaceful while asleep on the floor, but this wasn't a beauty nap. Returning from his business trip, blue eyes fluttered open. "There are enchantments you can put on your chairs to prevent this."

Suddenly Warren had his wand in his hand, raising to his feet in a supernatural motion, as if he were hinged on his heels. "Unless...someone is having fun with me.." A grin tugged at the edges of his mouth, his wand hand twirling his assorted items back into that tall hat. Looking around the room, hiding his embarassment, mister Dunwich knelt down to pick up his rabbit before sitting back down.

There was no way he could be mad when he was holding such a soft, cuddly bunny. What? Even Warren had a soft side.

He smirked to Rin lightly then looked at Warren. "Do you know what else could have prevented it? Not sleeping during a meeting. It is not only rude, but disrespectful."

Violet stared at the man who had fallen over. She couldn't believe someone fell asleep during Rin's demonstration. How extraordinarily rude. Her eyes flicked over the man, noting his top hat with various Muggle "magician" items inside. She decided that the chair had given way without the help of this guy, but he'd already been asleep when it broke. Her vibrant eyes narrowed. What was his problem? If you're going to bother coming to a meeting, at least pretend to be interested. Violet looked back at Rin to see her reaction. To her slight surprise and admiration, Rin barely reacted, at least that Violet could see, but simply proceeded with the demonstration.

To become engaged, Violet raised her hand. "Rin, what happens if the spirit doesn't want to leave because of, say, an emotional attachment to something? How would you convince them to go without using violence?"

"I haven't slept in years." Warren said in a hushed tone laced with venom. "If I want to attend to personal business while your girlfriend explains things I learned before you got your first wand, I will do so. Unless you have more childish pranks to pull on me, let's continue this meeting so we can get this over with." Despite his youthful visage, the man in black was older than he appeared. The rabbit that he kept close to his chest, on the other hand, was exactly as old as it looked. Rubbing the little creatures ears seemed to calm him down.

Violet frowned. She couldn't keep herself from interfering this time. "Um, excuse me. If you've gone years without sleeping, it seems to me that either you'd be far too tired to move, much less come to work and attend a seminar; or you'd be able to wait until after the seminar to catch up on your beauty sleep. And another thing. From what you've just said, you seem to already know everything there is to know about spirits, in which case I can't imagine why you'd come to an informational seminar." She rubbed her temples. Wait what? Now he was talking about continuing the meeting and 'getting it over with'? "Actually, the rest of us are still having a discussion...which you'd be aware of, had you not decided to take a nap in the middle of it." Her violet eyes locked onto his face for just a moment; then she looked away, back towards everyone else, and Rin especially, for she had asked the latter a question. Violet regretted speaking to an employee in such a harsh manner, but she'd not been able to restrain herself.

"Then I'll tell you the same thing I told Slade: Get some sleep. Before it kills you." Come to think of it, he really had said something similar to Slade, only with more caring. "And if you aren't learning anything, do everyone else the favor and simply leave. Or do we have you make you stand out in the hallway and take away housepoints?" The last was said with a crude and condescending tone. Let the man draw a wand on him. He'd faced worse.

Yes....now she was quite certain that Drago had tipped Mr. Magician's chair. Not to say she wasn't grateful, she had thought about throwing something at him or hexing him herself. He filled in her thoughts on the matter quite perfectly so she saw no reason to voice her thoughts. Thank you Ai-Shi.

Rinatta smiled warmly as Violet raised her hand. This meeting was going spectacularly...save Mr. Magician snoozy pants...She was about to answer when Mr. Magician spoke again.....

That, she was not going to let pass. She had, had enough. She attempted to calm herself again and took a deep breath. Violet spoke before she had reigned herself in enough to speak without yelling, as her hormones were really off balanced for some reason and she was having a much harder time than she normally would have. She waited until Violet had finished speaking, out of respect, before speaking herself. Then Drago had chimed in.

Her countenance took a much darker aura than she had ever let show since she had moved to London. Her eyes looked pure ice and held a definite emotionless cold to them. She calmly walked over to the man causing the ruckus and stood between him and Drago. She gave him a sub-zero glare that bore into his eyes. "Whether or not you have slept in years is your own problem and concern, none of ours. Your health outside of a mission for us is your own fault and to your own regulation. If you need to sleep ,sleep on your own time as you are meant to. While you are here your time is not your own , but ours. You will NOT attend to personal business whilst on our time, that is what your own time is for and unless you wish to have considerably more of it I suggest that ,if you have nothing useful to contribute, you shut the hell up. Also I would keep accusations and opinions to yourself unless they are actually relevant to this meeting. We will proceed as quickly as everyone of us who isn't so pretentious to think we know everything feel comfortable to do so. Now unless you have a relevant question or addition, remain in your seat and conscious while I continue." She said in the same sub-zero tone and walked back to the front .calming herself and smiling warmly to Violet.

She calmly continued as though nothing had happened and seemed very pleasant about it. " For a non-violent confrontation with a spirit in such a condition, you must first get to understand the spirit. Communicate with it and get to understand why they don't want to leave. You must strike up an understanding and empathy with it just as you would a living being. Ghosts are often best dealt with if you treat them primarily as you would another human, taking into account the delicacy of their condition of course. Most spirits ,contrary to belief, often respond very well to compassion and understanding. " She looked up to Violet to see if she had more to add or wished to request a more detailed answer.

Chad stared at Rinatta. Sure, he was strongly disappointed with Mr. Dunwich's current actions, but DANG.

Woman had chops.

He opened his mouth to further reprimand, but shut it quickly. He couldn't top that. Nu uh.

Perhaps he would just talk to Reagan later about his employee's disrespectful actions...

That was quite an earful! Two earfuls for the rabbit as it shrunk down in Warren's lap. He found it mildly amusing how quick they were to tear him down, and then talk about treating the dead with compassion.

"If you had my dreams, you wouldn't want to sleep either." The tall man whispered to his pet.

Heaving a deep sigh, Warren watched the furry creature fall asleep as the meeting resumed. He was so very tired..

Blink.

What just happened there?! Sarah had been watching Rin as she answered the questions that were given to her, and honestly... she hadn't quite been distracted to the sleeping noises one employee made. It would be his loss that he wasn't paying attention. But then the employee fell! Smart move he made, that one. But what was really shocking was Rin.

Eeesssshh... She was scary. Sarah would have to make a mental note not to get on that woman's bad side. It wouldn't be a pretty picture, she could imagine.

Mhm. Sarah held up her hand. "Rin, as an add-on to Violet's question... what do you suggest would be the best confrontation with a spirit if it were to become violent and refused to leave?" Leave them be perhaps? No one really had the power to make them leave when they didn't want to.

Violet's eyebrows went up...and up...and up. She'd had no idea Rinatta could be this...ferocious! her admiration for the woman went skyrocketing through the roof. Violet had a temper, but she couldn't usually come up with such articulate means of yelling at someone. The whole thing was very impressive.

Violet watched as Rin walked back to her seat and addressed Violet's question. "Ohh. I see. Thank you for clearing it up for me. I've never actually met a spirit. I mean, obviously at Hogwarts as a child, but they never talked to me." She didn't have anything to add for now; she had to chew what she'd just been given first. And she was still taken aback by Rin's outburst.

Drago wasn't sure whether to be impressed or amused. He was far less surprised than the others, knowing her, however he did note it interesting that she didn't keep her usual demeanor. He wondered vaguely if there was something up, but kept it to himself for now.

Rinatta was tuned in to his voice now, not what she wanted, and heard him whisper to the rabbit. If that didn't look strange...Bad dreams? Welcome to my world...I still manage sleep...or at the very least drink enough coffee and I might have worse nightmares between my own and seeing Drago's...... He looked like he was honestly going to fall asleep again. Rather than reprimand him again, she had said her peace on it and not quite so pleasantly as she could have though she had not raised her voice even once, she conjured a cup of espresso placed before him. If that didn't keep him awake not much would.



Rin smiled at Violet gently as she explained that she had never spoken to a ghost and she nodded. "Well later on I may bring a spectral visitor by if we have time. If not feel free to see me later and I can arrange something if you wish." She said sweetly ,any hint of her earlier coldness was non-existent.



She turned to Sarah as her hand raised, oh good ,another question. "Well...that all depends on the kind of spirit that you have on your hands. With a Ghost, if you can reason with them you are at little risk. They can't do anything physically, you can just get some ear plugs and a sweater for defense. Then it would come down to who was stronger-willed and if one bothered the other enough to make them leave." In her findings sometimes the humans were simply too annoying for the ghosts to deal with. "Then when it comes to your darker, more dangerous specters such as a Gytrash, Lumos is a good ward, but your best defense and weapon is actually the Patronus charm for those of you that can conjure it. Most specters can be driven away by a powerful patronus and there are as few other spell and potions that can be effective as well depending upon the spirits in question. " She loved how many questions she was getting. Would anyone have more or desire more detail to the questions answered? She was paying sharp attention for any raised hands or questions being posed, ready and eager.

Violet smiled, blushing a little, aware that most people at least talked to ghosts. "Thank you, Rin. You'll probably be hearing from me very soon, then." Like, as soon as the meeting was over. Violet sighed. This was why she was in the Beast division. She noticed as an aside that Rin was ignoring what had just happened. That was very smart of her, in Violet's opinion.
Violet sensed rather a lull in conversation, so she decided to make up another question. "So...will a ghost or spirit ever be able to stop existing? As far as I know, you can choose whether or not to become a ghost, but what happens if you change your mind?" Probably a highly irrelevant question, but no one else was really adding anything other than Sarah and Drago.

Chad was drumming his fingers together when an flying paper aeroplane came into the room and landed in front of him. With a raised eyebrow, he unfolded it and read its contents quickly.

Quickly, he stood up from his seat at the table and collected his notes. "Uhmm, meeting over. We will continue this at a later time." And with that, he scooped Mico up into his arms and bolted it from the room.

Violet was watching Rin, waiting for her answer, when a flicker of movement caught the corner of her eye. She turned to see Chad reading a memo. Very abruptly, he stood and left, making a very hasty adjournment speech. Violet blinked a few times, bewildered, but he was already gone.
Shaking herself, she stood. "Um, all right, everyone, I have no idea what this is about...but I guess the meeting has been put on hold. Everybody out! Sorry. We'll post a date for the continuation of the meeting when we have one. Until then, the meeting's over. Don't forget to pick up all your stuff on your way out." She waved a hand, gesturing for the employees to get up and go, and then looked at the other Division heads to see their reaction.

Dressed in an old button up shirt with the sleeves rolled past his elbows, Chad finished setting the room up. He had some coffee already made in the middle of the table, as well as a large stack of blank card stock and... tubes of paint? As he took a seat at the head of the table, he busied himself by recounting the brushes, just to make sure he had enough for all the employees.

Ian pushed his way through the door to the meeting room. He wondered what it would be about, considering he'd only been there a day. Not to mention no one had actually told him what his job was yet.

Chad Stryker was there, busying himself with setting out...paint and brushes? Well, that was slightly troubling, to say the least. As no one else was there, Ian saw it a fit time to introduce himself.

"Mr Stryker? I'm Ian, Ian Wolverton. I thought I'd introduce myself." he said, holding a hand for him to shake.
