Ian nodded and poured himself a cup of coffee. He didn't particularly like coffee, but it always made him look more sophisticated. He took a sip, and tried his best to hide the face he made whenever he drank it, before putting the cup back down on the table. Pulling his wand from his belt, he slyly waved it at the cup, and muttered a spell. He took another sip. A lovely cup of sugary tea. He knew he got an O in Transfiguration for something. |

"Sit down, Leo," Chad motioned. Quote:

As she went and sat down, Chad looked about the room. It was busy. Hmmm, it seemed like there were enough employees and well, the door was always unlocked for the late arrivals. "Hello!" Chad called out to his staff, standing up as well to get their attention. "I am very glad you all could make it to today's little conference. It shall be a simple conference - something to allow us to relax a bit, especially after catching all those little creatures. "As you can see on the table, there are tubes of paint, brushes, and some stiff paper. Monsieur de la Buena has been so very kind to lend us the paint and brushes. What you will be doing with them is simple. What I want you to do is to simply paint your favourite creature and then when you believe you have finished your masterpiece, show it off and give two facts about the creature you chose, and WHY it is your favourite. The "why" is optional. Everyone understand?" ooc: TOTALLY optional, but you can create something in Paint, Photoshop, hand-drawn and then scanned into your computer. Or, you can just RP your character doing a total Da Vinci, if you're not artistically inclined. Cool? |
He bowed slightly to Chad then looked over all the implements. Well, that didn't seem so hard. Except for choosing his favorite magical creature. He either didn't take care of them very well, or they tried to kill him. Well, maybe the kneazles didn't make attempts on his life, but he never was near one long enough to find out. Except Nos, his wife's kneazle. He finally settled on a creature and began picking up various paints and implements. He transfigured the paper into a canvas and an empty chair into an easel suitable for him (his own at home was custom considering his height) before carefully selecting brushes to use. |

"Thankyou, Chad!" Aaaaaaaaah,, sitting. It was nice. Hehe. Quote:
Aaah, a name! "Very nice to meet you, Mister Fakiris!" He shook his hand and smiled, "Oh, I am from Mehhhico!" Mexico, that is. His accent was still intact. "Born in Mexico City, but soon enough... moved to London." Yes, totally planned, like. "How about yourself?" Leo asked interested. It was wonderful how many international co-workers there were. Leo turned his fullest attention at Chad and chuckled when he was mentioned and the paintings. Favorite animal! Oh how fun! Yes yes, this was an exellent project. So, were they starting? Hehehehe. |
Fionn had changed her attention from staring blankly down at her folded hands to looking up and keeping her eyes on Monsieur Stryker, hearing about their little endeavor they would be doing. Painting their favorite animal? Her eyes had a faint glimmer at the idea of expressing such artistic abilities, but she was a bit keen on wondering why this sort of sport. Was it a leap for team bonding? Nevertheless, she smiled and took a piece of the stiff paper parchment given and an array of paint tubes: white, gray, black & yellow. Then one flat tipped brush and she stared down. Her favorite animal coincided with her actual Animagus. Time to get started then. |
missy sit there and takes out a book of baby names and smiles thinking i hope its a boy i'll name him neko strom but i will cover the book up with my cape |
"Would you like to paint a picture, Monsieur de la Buena?" Chad smiled at the coolest man he had ever met. "Perhaps a picture of Monsieur Diego Chado Frances Buena?" With a chuckle, he looked around the room to see how his employees were fairing. Drago was painting on a canvas (wow. impressive!), Fionn was painting away, Emerald as well, and... Missy was doing nothing? Reading. Right. "Madame Riddle, if you think that this assignment is above you, then I suggest you leave my conference room now. Or, if you decide to get serious, please put the book away and paint." |

The whole room started bustling about selecting paints and paper and James decided that he would use charcoal, mainly because paint was messy and he didn't want to ruin his unique and irreplaceable red gingham shirt. He pulled a sheet of textured paper towards himself and closed his eyes, attempting to conjure up an image of a unicorn. He could draw well and in detail, but it was rather difficult without having anything physical to copy.. but that was what he and Leo had discussed, and James just needed to overcome the mental block in his mind. Haphazardly slapping paint on a canvas was so different to this. |
Ian thought for a minute, before starting into a rough, really bad painting of a Hungarian Horntail. Art never was his strong point, but he planned to Transfigure it after to at least make it a little bit better, or more impressive. |

"Ah!" Dude, Chad was like in the same brainwave as Leo. "I'd LOVE to!" he grinned, nodding while Chado the Crup was getting all happy again that kind Uncle Chad was in licking range. "Mister Diego might look nice with a top hat? And a bow?" He grinned. Well he knew how to draw animals...so why not make it a leetle more festive? "What will you be painting?" Squint. "Probably something awesome, si? Like a dragon or...a dragon driving a monster truck!" Bahaha! |
She puts the book away and paints sorry i had Research.she starts to paint a dragon with black roses and and a night sky. i think its my best work she said. she asked are the paints non toxic she asked i hope so |

Picking up a few items, he mused what creature he would paint. Choosing favorites was hard business. Quote:
He was from Mexico, which explained the accent. "Mexico is a beautiful country." He mused, remembering his trip there a few years back. It seemed like a lot of Ministry workers moved in from across the globe. "I am from Greece," He replied proudly with a smile. Unlike Stryker and de la Buena, his own accent wasn't as prominent, though still there if you listened for it. "Born and raised as well. Went to Hogwarts, did some traveling and moved back to London to work here." He lazily waved his hand around the conference room before picking up his paint brush. "So you supplied us with all these painting supplies...where you a painter before working here?" It would explain why he had so many supplies. Of course it could just be a hobby of the older man's, kind of like fishing was for him. |

"I don't know what I'll be painting," Chad hummed, looking at his blank sheet of paper. Hmmmm... He then looked around the room, wondering how everyone else was doing. |
Violet smiled behind her painting. All in all, this was one of the more fun meetings, she had to admit. She kept the painting to herself. She wanted to surprise everyone - no one would know what she was doing until she'd finished. |
Drago didn't pay mind to anyone else but only focused on a background of dark colors, blue and a velvet indigo. It edged to black in the corners and the entire thing seemed to waver as though under water. Setting aside some of the broader brushes he chose one that was a little smaller, though still fairly broad, and a little stiffer as he began painting in rich browns to nearly-black at the ground. Soon he had a rocky ground, and with a few strokes upward he had tree trunks. Then with some smaller brushes, there were soon branches and nettles... tall pines which started stretching out toward the sky. Each being highlighted with detail brushes in the image of moonlight. Everything else was then set aside for a single tapered soft brush, and he stood back. With the first touch of black he cast the first line of the creature he had chosen, striking from muzzle, down the back, along the long whipped tail in one stroke. ooc: I was originally planning on actually doing this, but I've got four drawings due tonight for a Life Drawing class... and I'm actually tired of drawing. Pleh... Instead, here's the process! |
Picking up some paint Ryanne started to create some lines she was unsure what it would turn out ot be, she was letting her brush take control. Maybe she thought what about some beautiful mountains split by a flowing river that flows over rocks and ends in a calm, warm pond. as she invisioned the sight the brush made stroks to imprint her vision on the canvas |
New Plot, please post ASAP x Erica arrived at the Conference Room, bright and early in the morning, prepared for the meeting she was about to hold. A piece of paper was laid out in front of her on the table along with a self writing quill, yes she didn't have time to be writing notes and right now she didn't actually have a scribe to write down notes from the meeting so this would just have to make do. The blonde was sat at the opposite side to the entrance, on the large round table, waiting for her other employees to show up and join her. She sat there with a smile as she waited patiently, though she wanted them to turn up quite abruptly, she wouldn't wait for TOO long after all, they did have work that they needed to get back to, but this WAS important and well, it was an issue that she needed to discuss with everyone else after all. The Department Head scribbled down a few notes on the parchment to start off with as she waited. |
Violet walked into the conference room, coffee in hand, wiping the last remnants of sleep from her eyes. By now she expected to be used to getting up early in the morning, and she had been, but for some reason she hadn't been able to become fully awake yet today. Suppressing a yawn, she looked around to see who else was in the room. It appeared that she was one of the first. "Hi, Erica," she said with a smile. "How've you been? It's been awhile since we talked." Violet hoped that she would be able to stay awake and alert during this meeting, as always, and she would try her best, as always. Maybe she just needed a vacation. |
The Greek man had planned on doing some paper work when coming to work today, however, when spotting the message from the new head, he turned on his heels and sauntered into the conference. "Good morning, Ladies." A smile laced his features as he greeted the two women, sliding easily into a seat near them both. He was in a particularly good mood, despite the early hour. Wasn't like he didn't wake earlier to fish. "Everything's well I hope?" His hands idly fiddled with the red coffee mug he placed on the table, resisting the urge to mess with his hair that he had actually put a comb through this morning. That recent trip/vacation had obviously done him some good. |
Amy walked down to the conference room; a familiar fluttering dancing around in her stomach. She had never been in here and she barely knew anyone in her department. A great way to start off her first ever conference. Amy walked into the room, making sure not to spill the coffee in her hand. She certainly didn't want to fall asleep in front of everyone. That would be a tad on the embarrassing side. She looked around the room and smiled at the people already in there. "Morning!" she said brightly as she walked along the table. Maybe the coffee was working a little too well; she seemed to be more alert than usual. Weird. She set her coffee down on the table and took a seat halfway along the table. |
Nia sat down wondering why they had been called here, she took her place at a seat, she had never been to a meeting, she was wondering what this was all about. |
Right this was proving to be a very very busy year for Sophia. Rhea had graduated and was now learning to run an industry with her (Sophia) dad. The opening was today and she had actually just flooed back and saw the notice. Thank God for the 6 hours time difference or she would have had to make a choice between the opening and the meeting. But she was sooo very tired. Coffee was another thing she sent up silent thanks for. It was a good thing she decided to stop by the canteen to get a cup before continuing on to the meeting. Right. She stopped at the conference room door and flipped open her compact and checked herself to make sure that despite the hussle and bussle of the busy day, she was still looking presentable and professional. And she was. She smoothed the front of her delicately styled up do then returned the compact and entered. She of course wore her department robe over a grey pants suit. Sophia pushed open the office door and smiled pleasantly at everyone as she walked in. Oh right. She hadn't started making friends yet since her transfer to this ministry. She had time for that later." good morning" she said as she slipped into a chair. Right. Well this may or may not be a very awkward first meeting for her but well she just had to wait and see right. |
A tall and lanky young man with a shock of white blonde hair, wearing the most curious combination of clothing consisting of a blue gingham shirt with matching blue trousers (which weren't quite long enough for his long skinny legs), and his favourite red braces to hold them up, shuffled nervously into the conference room and took a seat next to the older lady who had entered before him. James loathed meetings; he found them frightfully nerve racking should he be called upon to speak up or give his opinion. His milky cheeks turned a soft pink at the mere thought of it. He hoped somehow he blended in with the furniture, but with his current choice of clothing, it was highly unlikely. He sent a shy awkward smile to his colleagues and mumbled a soft-- "G-Good morning."-- then averted his eyes from them to look down at his parchment. He scribbled down the date in his neat handwritting while he waited for Ms Erica to begin. |
What walked into the room with four legs and no feet? A chair. Surely a walking chair was interesting enough for this meeting, but it was the man sitting in the chair that was important. With his top hat tilted so it shielded his eyes from the light, Warren sat motionless in his chair, hands folded in his lap. Silent, save for the sound of the wooden chair finding a place to settle down, the man in the black suit posessed an aura that made it feel that as if he were watching them under those closed lids. |
