Level Wide Conference Room Any level-wide meetings that need to take place will go on in here. The door is locked at all times, until a time it's use is required. (For meeting starting later today, you can post in here now) |
Misty had just found out about this oh-so-very-important seminar only moments ago. She had seen the notice board only in passing, but that did not mean she actually read anything that was on it. What made her read it today? Well, she had lost her most favorite jacket the other day and she was hoping someone KIND enough would have found it for her. Nope. What did she expect? It was a very expensive one of a kind jacket, and she must be mad to think she was getting that back. Merlin help the person she saw wearing it. Walking into the Conference Room, Misty was surprised to see..well, no one. She must not have been the only one to not read the notice board. Carrying a thermos of coffee, she found a seat and set the coffee on a table. The notice board said to bring coffee..it didn't mention anything about cups. |
Red coffee mug in one hand and the other shoved into his pocket, Nikos strolled into the conference room. He had glanced over the notice board this morning and spoted the note about the seminar. Seems liked he returned back from vacation just in time to make it, though he was sure he knew how to handle creature it couldn't help to brush up on the basics. Nikos had changed from his formal clothing that he had been sporting earlier in the day for some blue jeans and a tshirt, just in case these were some messy creatures they would be handling. Looking around the room he realized that he was early, the room holding only one occupant, his partner from his first assignment. Walking over he took a seat beside her and leaned back in his chair. "Hello Misty, how are you?" His eyes flickered from the thermos she was holding to his half empty coffee mug. She didn't have a mug, was she gonna share that coffee cause he could use more. Nikos took a sip of his coffee. |
Chad finally walked into the room with coffee in one hand and a little kitten in the other. He was humming a tune as he walked over to his beloved chair at the head of the table and started to settle in. Two employees? Hmmm... "Hello," he smiled brightly at the two employees as he put the kitten onto the table. |
Oh dear Merlin, was she late? SPRINT!!! Jumping over things, creatures, boxes...people... Lilah ran as fast as she could before stopping in front of the room. Compose herself. Must, compose. Deep breathe. Fix hair. Fix shirt and pants. Fix side-ache... Good. Good, everything good. Big smile! And, queue the entering of the room. "I am, so sorry I'm late." she said, noticing Mr. Stryker already there and...only two other people? She must've been really late. Ugh. Was it already over? Darn her non working alarm clock! |
He was late, but he had a very good reason after all. It wasn't everyday he became a father. With a particular bounce in his step Darius grinned as he entered the conference room nodding to the others before looking at Stryker. "Sorry if I'm late; I was at St. Mungos." he explained his hazel eyes nearly bulging out his head in his excitement. Making his way to an empty chair he sat down, having only heard about the seminar when he had arrived ten minutes previously. He hadn't even had time to take off his letterman jacket, instead allowing it to remain on his shoulders as he got comfortable and looked at the department head. |

Davina briskly walked into the conference room balancing a coffee mug in one hand and a clipboard in the other. Merlin knew they needed a conference at the moment. Things had been kind of lax in their department lately and she hoped that this meeting was about sprucing things up a bit. As usual she wore a muggle work suit in. She wore a navy pants suit today with a lovely white silk undershirt. She of course wore her wizarding robes over her suit just for the meeting. Her name and department tag sat neatly against it. She smiled and said a bright good morning to her boss and fellow employees. The room was still relatively empty so she knew she wasn't late. She took a seat and sipped her french vanilla coffee while she waited for the others to arrive. |
Noticing the notice board as she passed, Lucia almost dropped everything that was in her hands because she had totally forgot about the seminar. She walked swiftly into the Conference Room and smiled at the people that were already there. Was she late or early or just on time? Ahh, who knows. "Sorry if I am late." She said breathlessly. Might as well apologize just in case. She then took a seat at an empty table. It was lucky that she passed the notice board this morning. She never usually forgot about important things like this. |
Chad smiled and returned the "hello"s given by his employees. In between arrivals though, he engaged in an rather amusing match up against the kitten concerning it's tail. Chad would reach to touch it and in return, the kitten would playful swat and pounce on his hand. Guh, he loved his kitty. "I think we will late a little bit more for some more employees to arrive." Like the division heads. Having division heads would be good. "This is Mico, by the way," he smiled, letting the little grey and black kitten go so that he could roam freely around the table. "He is my cat," Chad admired. |
Davina nodded when Mr.Stryker said he was awaiting more workers to arrive. None of the division heads had arrived yet so she was assuming that she was indeed early. She smiled watching Mr.Stryker's cat play with it's tail. The little thing was adorable. She reached for him as he let him wander down the table, scooping him up in her arms and tickling his little tummy. She just loved animals, well that would explain why she chose the division that she did. After petting him for a while, she let him go so he could wander some more. |
"He's very friendly looking." Darius stated, smiling at the gray and black kitten who was now roaming around the table. Taking out a notebook and pen - something he used since he hated quills - he nodded once more, his eyes shining practically as he crossed his arms and feet, getting more comfortable. He took this time to get a good look at the other people he would be working with, a bunch of people he hadn't had the pleasure of meeting yet, except for one person. Who apparently wasn't here yet. Perfect. |
OH MY GAH! KITTY! Lilah squealed slightly in delight as she watched the little grey and black kitten walk around on the table. It's cuteness was too much!! And it's name. Oh, she was so happy that she made it to the meeting. Sitting down quickly at the table, she placed her elbows on the table and held her head up by her palms, just watching the little kitten. So CUTE! |
Kalee walked into the conference room, taking a sip of her coffee. Ahhh....nothing like the taste of coffee before a meeing! Taking a seat that was empty, Kalee took out a smallish piece of parchment and a quill just in case they need to take notes or something. "Awww...cute kitty!" Kalee said noticing grey and black kitten. |
Davina looked at her watch then to Mr. Stryker then the kitten. It was taking the others quite a whilke to start arriving for the meeting. Was it that the poster blew off or something. She frowned slightly and adjusted herself in the seat. |
Thumbing the handle of his red mug, Nikos nodded at his coworkers as they entered realizing that he knew none of them. He turned from Misty to Stryker when the man spoke, his eyes on the playful kitten as his small smile grew. "I like the name." |
Rinatta walked into the room with a brilliant smile playing upon her rose petal lips. Her sky blue dress style robes swished with the movement of her body as she entered with her cup of coffee. There were still some employees missing, her fellow division heads and a few others. "Good morning monsieur." she said as her eyes met her boss and she gave him a polite nod and beamed her smile at him. She adored her boss, not many people could say that and she was happy that he was indeed her boss. She was about to take a seat next to him when a familiar face caught her eye, Davina. Davina always tended to be a very prompt person and so professional looking all the time. Rin smiled as she thought about it. Rin had always acted professionally , but she never really did dress like it unless it was absolutely necessary. She waved to Davina and gave her a small wink as she took a seat near Chad. She was going to take Dav out for coffee ooooh or ice cream when the conference was over...mmmm ice cream. She watched Chad's kitten play and she gave a small giggle he was so cute! She contentedly sipped her coffee as she watched, waiting for everyone else to arrive. |
Drago somewhat reluctantly made his way into the conference room. Creature handling. He didn't like Care of Magical Creatures, and he didn't want to handle anything. He stopped short and saw the cat... and just froze. And he sure as heck wasn't handling THAT! Coming back to his senses, he edged away a bit and made his way as far from the feline as he could. What was it with cats and kneazles in this place?! |
Fussing with trying to remove his red scarf from around his neck while unbuttoning his coat, Torio slipped into the conference room, doing his best to be discrete. There were already quite a few people present and he was fairly certain he was late. That was thanks to having to play a game of hide-and-go-seek with Polty and her new ghosty friend down inamongst the coats of the coat closet. He gave a smile and polite nod of the head to Chad and Rin as he found his seat. Pausing in his fussing, he gave the kitten wandering about the table a good scratch behind the ears and under the chin before settling into his seat. He tusseled with his scarf a moment more before giving up on the pretense that it would be disturbing to the meeting. Hopefully they didn't have the heat turned up in this room. |
Violet walked into the conference room briskly, rubbing her cold hands together. She took her place in the Division Head seat and looked around. The room was starting to fill up. Good. Violet could tell hat this was either going to be a huge success or a huge failure...hopefully the first. She leaned back in her seat for a brief moment of relaxation before getting up and walking to Chad. "People seem to like Mico," she observed. "He is rather cute." |
Why Sarah was feeling so cold, escaped her. She couldn't help but shudder as she shrugged her jacket further up to cover up her neck and she wrapped her arms around her. Upon entering the conference room, she took a glance around and noticed that everyone seemed fine. Why was everyone fine? How come no one was cold like her?! At this, Sarah couldn't help but narrow her eyes in slight frustration. No matter. Surely she would warm up throughout the conference. After all... they had exciting plans, didn't they? Breathing into her hands for warm and rubbing them against each other, she walked over to where Chad and the other Division Heads were. "Hey Boss. Hello Rinatta. Violet," Sarah greeted, nodding her head at each and every one of them. She attempted a smile but it was slightly pained for no one could be happy under such cold conditions. Maybe she was hallucinating the cold. |

He looked around the room, noting that Mico had gotten a hold of a strawberry and was happily chewing away and how many employees had shown up. Meh. It was...okay, he supposed. "Again, hello everyone and I am very glad you could make it to this seminar. Your lovely division heads and I decided that maybe it is a good thing to refresh ourselves about certain areas, not to mention learn a little bit about something outside your little cubicle. "With that being said, over the next little while, we will be hosting a set of seminars aimed towards gathering knowledge. Then, of course, you will get to try what you have learned first hand." He paused and took a sip of his coffee. Mmmmm, coffee... "With that said, today's seminar will simply be about some basic creatures or scenarios you can find yourself in. There will be one from each division. Everyone with me? Questions yet?" |
Davina sighed with relief as more of the department heads arrived and took their seats. She sat up straight in her chair as Mr.Stryker began speaking and propped her clipboard ready to start taking notes. She tilted her head to the side for a second. A seminar to gather knowledge? She had never heard about a seminar quite like that actually. Her eyebrows raised in interest. She listened as he went on. She raised her hand. " What exactly do you mean when you say test our knowledge learned first hand? Will we be doing more field work?" Would they finally be doing some more field work? She hoped so. Or maybe something was happening in magical world, she had no idea. |
