Emmy smiled. "What division are you in?" she asked.

Chad walked into the work areas and froze. There were animals EVERYWHERE. He knew he permitted people to bring animals from home and the occasional roaming kneazle. He eyed as a couple cats took to scratching the desks and other claw-y itty creatures scratched at the floor or tried to climb the walls.

And his employees...were...talking!? A few were doing something. But, none were

"I suppose it's a good thing I didn't release something larger and more vicious," he called out with a raised eyebrow. "Why aren't they in cages yet?" He looked at his division heads. Weren't they directing?

After stopping by the cafeteria for a cup of coffee before returning to her cubicle Davina finally reentered her department only to freeze in shock at the door for a few seconds when she saw the animals running around. There were of course a few people there working but they needed more help. She quickly turned around and ran to the storage area for a few more cages, which she charmed to come banging and clanging behind her.
She returned to the office and looked around taking note of the animals loose. Ok, she could stun them and put kneazels with kneazels and so fourth. Maybe if they all took different animals that would work. Oh well they would catch on, since Nifflers were her favourite she figured she might as well start off with them. The sooner they were caught, the less damage they would inflict on the office and on themselves.

Pulling off her muggle jacket and draping it on her chairso it wouldn't get creased, she whipped out her wand and rolled up her sleeves. Pointing to a few nifflers that were rummaging through an employee's desk, she said immobilousin a strong clear voice. When the animals were frozen, she levitated the two nifflers into the open cage then closed it and undid the immobilous spell and continued her routine until she had most of the nifflers into the cage.

Sarah couldn't help but laugh to herself at the exchange between Violet's two employees. "Don't let the appearances deceive you. Maybe a person like Carley is exactly what the division needs," she said, smiling. Mhm... she wanted to sit. The woman glanced around and picked a seat that was right next to them. Sarah plopped down on the seat and smiled once again. She was a very smiley person if it wasn't at all obvious.

"I guess you should... hurry up before the others take all the fun!" Actually... it didn't seem like the employees were getting that far. There was only a couple so they might be here all day! Tough job this one was actually... but it required teamwork. Sadly, it seemed like over half the team was gone.

Carley's jaw dropped just a little. "Deffinitely!" Oh yeah, cuz caging lose animals was her favorite part of the day *eyeroll*. Nah, it wasn't terrible... Then again, it wasn't exactly a walk in the park either.

Drawing her wand Carley pointed it at a squirrel by her foot, oooh scary!! "Petrificus totalus!" not exactly the most advanced spell but hey, it worked. Picking up the animal, she placed it into a cage and repeated the process.

Fionn took a big breath and closed her eyes. First day at the Ministry. She was excited, but also nervous. She had applied to work within the Magical Creatures unit, and although she didn't get the exact division she wanted, she was still in the right place. Opening her blue crystallized eyes, she wrapped her long and elegant white fingers around the door knob and opened the door to the cubicles.

Putting a smile on her face, she looked around and saw... animals? Why were their animals running all over the office? Taking a few steps in her black stiletto shoes, she saw kittens, crups, frogs, and a few stray nifflers frolicking about. With one hand clutching her expresso, she stooped down in her long red trench coat and picked up a stray meowing kitten. "Oh, are you alright little thing?" She asked, looking into the kittens large silver saucer eyes. They must have been Illegally charmed animals.

Walking over to a woman who was dealing with a pesky squirrel, she put on a smile. "Um, what happened here?" Her first day, she thought she would just be dealing with getting a desk and some paperwork.

Drago walked by with a couple of crups, and heard Fionn on the way. Rather disgruntled he muttered, "someone let some animals loose. If there's a cat or kneazle still conscious, protect your clothes." And he was on his way to put the little guys back in their cages... even as they tried to play with each other in his hands.

Fionn turned her head to see a man stalk by with a few crups playing in his arms. She nodded to him as he walked away. Well, an outbreak. Looking down she saw the kitten was playing with the large black button on her coat sleeve. The strings were tattered and the button was almost completely off, dangling on only one or two strings. Oh well, she could sew it back up in a jiffy.

"Right, off to tidy up the place." She said with a smile and placed her coffee down on the nearest desk. She looked over and saw a lazy crup digging at the ground and she scooped the little one up and kept it close away from the kitten. Looking around she started to follow the man who just spoke to her. "Cages... there we go." She smiled and placed the kitten in the first one and locked the bolt in and did the same with the crup right after.

Nikos spied a few of his coworkers chatting, but with all the creatures roaming about the office he was to distracted to pay them much mind. He did see a few of the workers stunning the creatures and opted not to use magic if it could be avoided. He enjoyed working with his hands. Placing the rabbit he was holding into a cage, he unraveled the snake from around his leg and placed the creature into a separate cage. Then the man summoned a few cages from the holding room and lined them against the wall by size.

Stowing his wand away and rolling up his sleeves he began to cage many of the creatures. A few would come to him when coaxed, and some he would simply pluck from the desktops and cage. For others he used Immobulus to levitate them into thier cages. And then there were the ones he decided to leave alone, like the ghost. Nikos didn't mess with spirits.

Violet watched the progression. Finally, people started heling Drago. Still, more hands might be needed to catch them all. "I'm tempted to step in and help, but this is their field practice for the day," she said to Sarah and Rin. "It's sort of amusing, the way things turned out. Still, if they can't seem to handle it, maybe we should help. I don't think it'll be necessary, though." She voiced her musings aloud, not really aware that she wasn't making much sense.

Once he was sure the crups were safely away, he looked about at what was left. Though he hated to do it, he went around picking up stunned cats and kneazles, still avoiding the kittens (someone else could surely get those) and putting them back in their cages. Coming back in, flicked his wrist so his wand sprang forward and gave it a wave... dozens of illusory shining bits appeared and fell to the ground. These moved about the cubicle, attracting the nifflers until he was sure he had all of them (probably less than the shinies, but whatever... he wasn't counting) and began moving them all back towards the storage area. It was probably the most mundane use of illusion he'd ever done, but at least it worked.

"Will someone concentrate on rounding up the kittens? I think I saw a few pouncing the frogs." And with that, he hoarded the nifflers into the storage area, the shinies splitting up to lead into different cages.

Once she had been finished with her batch of nifflers Davina watched as Drago got the rest. She knew from the meeting that the man did not necessarily like kittens which became more evident when he suggested that someone else get the rest. She continued to stun stun most of the animals around her and gently levitate them to the waiting open cages. When she had dealt with a few of the bigger fluffies she addressed Drago's problem..the kittens, who were indeed playing cat and mouse with a fee frogs. She would get the kittens but she most certainly would not be doing frogs.

"I'm on that." She replied pointing her wand at a kitten who was playfully pawing at a frog. She immobilized the animal and continued doing the same to the rest of them and then caging them.

Turns out she would be doing a lot more on her first day than she expected. Putting another bright smile on her face, Fionn looked around to see a bunch of shinies on the floor. No no, don't get distracted. She bit her lip and looked around to see a few frogs, nifflers and kittens still roaming about. Another girl was getting the kittens and the man was getting nifflers.

"So frogs for me. Got it." She bent down and started to pick up and grab a few of the slimy creatures. She didn't mind, plus, it was only her hands that were getting slimy. And if her coat were to get slimed on.. well, she could always wash it. Picking up the third one within her view of the area, she walked back over to wear the cages were and dumped them into a clear container cage for them. Everyone was using spells on the poor animals. She felt the best approach was to simply pick them up. Then again, if it were something bigger, magic would definitely be involved.

Emerald walked over to the worker. "Hey," she said casully. "Need a hand? I'm new here." she said smiling. She wants to meet as much people as she can and get much work as she can.

"Hang on a minute, Drago," called Violet. "Don't put the cages in the storage room just yet. Mr. Stryker wants them in his office so that he can...figure out what charms are on them and such. Wait until everything's rounded up, then they'll all go into his office at once."

"Dreadfully inefficient, and woefully unimaginative." Elbow deep inside his upturned hat, Warren watched his fellow employees throw around stunning spells, and scooping up the escaped animals. "What if there were only one of us here to capture these creatures? It'd take all day to stun and cage every last frog, cat, and krup...Ah, there it is."

Slowly withdrawing his hand from his hat, Warren produced a well worn wooden flute. "Why stun such little creatures individually when you can take care of the whole lot without being cruel?" The man wet his lips after asking his rhetorical question. "I've never been much for music, but it does seem to have a soothing effect." Putting his lips to the flute, a soft, melodious tune permeated the air. Each note was carefully chosen in timing and pitch to maximize it's effect. A slow dirge, a sad song of soft rain and distant thunder.

The little creatures, with their little ears, were the first to hear it. Next their little eyes began to get heavy.

Carley stuffed her wand in her pocket and dove at two cats scurrying around by her feet. She made her way around several desks and over to a few cages. "Gah!" she squeeled, as one of them sunk their teeth into her arm. Quickly, Carley ran to the nearest cages. She shoved them inside, narrowly missing one's teeth and another's claws. Ugh. Great. She was bleeding. Ew.

"I was just using the cages in the storage room. I hadn't realized they pulled some of them out. I'll go ahead and pull out the ones I used." Then one by one, he levitated each so as to not disturb the animals too much as he stacked them outside the storage room.

Violet nodded. "All right - just making sure." She watched him pull the cages back out. "Thank you," she added.

Ignoring her bleeding arm, Carley levitated the animals that were nodding off into cages. Yeah, she was in a showy-offy mood. Well.... not really. Anyways, she did it non-verbally.

Squirrel- wingardium leviosa, aaaaand... In the cage! She gave a silent 'boo yah' as to not disturb the creatures. This time she picked a kneazle. Wingardium leviosa, aaaaaand... caged! Carley repeated this process with several other animals including a dog, a crup, and a lizard just to name a few.

Turning her attention back to her arm, Carley drew her wand and poked the bleeding bite mark. A greenish puss erupted out of it. Hmmm. She didn't think it was supposed to do that. So she asked Violet, "Uh, Violet? There's green stuff coming out of the place one of those cats bit me." she sounded like a five year old whining that somebody called her a name. But, y'know without the whining part..... Cuz she's just professional like that.

Ehhh, slightly dysfunctional, but at least they were all working and getting the animals in the cages. Not bad, not bad.

Chad then caught the sound of someone saying that they'd been bitten. He approached Carley and smiled, extending a hand out. "May I see the bite?"

Carley turned to the voice, surprised. Oh, it was just her department head. "Of course." she replied. Extending her left arm out to him.

Sharp spikes of pain jabbed the area she'd been bitten. Oooooow.

Violet looked up as someone called her name. She stood up to go over to Carley, who was saying that she'd gotten bitten. However, before she could reach her, Chad got there first. Violet joined them and peered over Chad's shoulder to get a look at the bite. "Does it hurt very much?" she asked.

Leilani winced. "Yeah a little." it felt like somebody was pokingit with a needle. Yup, very painful. She watched as Chad and Violet examined her arm. What the heck was the green stuff coming from the bite?

Derfel walked in to see chaos.
Animals were still cluttering the office - especially kittens - and several cages were discarded and blocking aisles.
He picked up one such cage, opened it and concentrated on the animals in the room.
"Accio Kittens!" He bellowed, surprising even himself with the volume of his deep voice.
Ducking under the cage he waited as numerous kittens that had so far eluded capture softly landed in it.
Closing the cage quickly, he leant on it while checking to see what animals remained.
